Vanessa fell back onto the rubber mat, as something strange emerged from the ball pit. Practically leaped from inside the pit, as it did a.. somersault?
Vanessa looked up to see what appeared in front of her. It was an animatronic of some sort. Not one of the Glamrocks, but it looked like something that wasn't in the promotional material. The animatronic had a faceplate designed to look like the sun, as it stared back at Vanessa with white eyes. Its arms were lanky, where it wore brown and yellow stripped baggy pants, along with a bowtie. "Hello there, friend!" the animatronic said in a cheery robotic voice, as it looked down at Vanessa.
"Miss! You're ok?!" a maintenance worker ran up to Vanessa to help her up, as the faceplate of the sun animatronic spun clockwise, as Vanessa made sure she had the necklace with her. "I'm fine."
"Fine? There is every reason to be fine right here at the Play Palace! What's your name, little girl? Mine is Sunrise!" the animatronic asked Vanessa, as she didn't really have an option, otherwise she would feel awkward. "I'm...Vanessa." she immediately blurted out, as Sunrise seemed to see her as a kid.
"That's a wonderful name, Vanessa!"
"You don't understand. I'm just a night guard."
"Night guard? My very best friend Moondrop is a night guard, too! He doesn't like to go out during the day, but when dusk approaches, he comes to give the happy children his special candy made from actual lunar rocks and makes sure to have the kids go to sleep!"
"Alright, Sunrise! I think it's time you head back to your stage!" the maintenance worker ordered Sunrise, as he scuttered back towards one end of the Play Palace. "You're alright? This place is closed for maintenance." the maintenance worker said, as Vanessa didn't seem that phased. "Some woman lost this." Vanessa showed him the necklace, as she made sure her cap was on. The worker let out a groan, as he escorted her out. "I don't get paid for enough for this gig if people are getting in the way.."
"What was that robot? It called himself Sunrise?"
"The Glamrock animatronics aren't the only thing that is at the Pizza Plex. Sunrise and Moondrop are both exclusive to the Play Palace. I think both of them are worth millions of dollars, since they are aerobatic animatronics. Could be wrong.."
The woman that lost her necklace was still outside the Play Palace, as Vanessa gave her necklace back to her. "Thank you so much! I'm sorry for the trouble that you had to go through." the woman said, as the other maintenance worker that was with the woman spoke up. "The Play Palace is only allowed for maintenance workers only. Especially Guest Relations!" the worker gave a passive-aggressive glare at the woman, as she got annoyed with him. "I'm heading back now, like I said!" she said to the worker, where she muttered something under her breath. Vanessa didn't know what she said, but it sounded like Spanish.
"That applies to security, too! Move it!" the worker rudely shooed Vanessa away, as she made sure to make another note on her wristwatch. "This is Price again. I finished checking out the Day and Night Play Palace. It's off-limits to everyone, except maintenance."
"Hey, guys. Quick question." Morgan asked the others.
"What?" Bruno was heard.
"You noticed any weirdly labelled maintenance workers? The ones with the black uniforms?"
"Black uniforms?" Vanessa asked him, as the maintenance workers she saw only had grey uniforms.
"Hang on, I know what you're talking about. I saw one of them go underground. I radioed Peterson quick and he told me they are allowed underground." Bailey said.
"Right.. There's something odd about them."
"What are you talking about, Morgan?" Bruno asked him.
"I don't know. They look like mercenaries or something. Extremely sketchy."
"I'm good on this end so far. How are the Glamrocks? They are supposed to be our top priority."
"They being taken to their green rooms."
"Green rooms?" Vanessa was confused at what he meant. "Apparently, the animatronics are being taken to special custom rooms that the animatronics can be resided in. It's in case their night mode function went off." Morgan explained.
"Actually, I did encounter an animatronic called Sunrise. He was friendly, but he's a little reckless."
"Sunrise? What the hell kind of name is Sunrise?" Bruno asked.
Meanwhile...
At Ned's Sporting Goods and Bait Shop, a fellow staff worker was in charge of helping customers who were interested in the products that the store had. He was a young man who knew a bit of the tricks and trade. He had just finished explaining the pros and cons of a fishing rod to sale, until he noticed a woman examining stun guns. She stood out a bit more, since she had rainbow extensions on her hair. Getting the whole salesman act up, he presented herself to the woman to help her.
"Hi.. I want to know what type of stun gun I should buy." she replied to him.
"What kind do you prefer? We have something that can work as a keychain or we have the police-styled ones that use more batteries."
"What type causes the most pain?"
It was a bizarre statement to hear from such a woman, though the worker had seen a fair share of odd customers before. Enough odd customers to know which ones were part of a group that he rounds them up in.
"Most pain? You're not one of those 'junkies', are you? The one who likes to shock each other?" he quizzed the woman, as she immediately became defensive.
"No no no! I almost got mugged, so I need something to protect me."
"I recommend police styled. We do have this latest model that is known to pack quite a punch. One hit can get you incapacitated for several hours. Two hits at the same time will flatline you to death." the worker showed her the stun gun, as it was a beefy black plastic model that was brand new.
"40 dollars?" Olivia was checking the price tag the salesman was showing her.
"Want something cheaper?"
"No, it's a good deal. You wouldn't happen to sell zip ties by any chance?"
Another bizarre statement that was making the salesman wonder if this woman was really one of those "junkies".
"Zip ties? What do you need zip ties for?"
"I have a lot of computer cables at home. I might need some more while I'm at it."
"We're a sporting goods store..?"
"Are those fishing lures? I really need those, also." Olivia tilted her head in a different direction and immediately changed the topic, much to the salesman's confusion and suspicion.
Vanessa ended up in the main shopping mall part of the Pizza Plex, as she saw several mesh shutters blocking some stores. She recognized some of these brands. There was Unique Fashions, Good Deal, Fyrer, an Tag-Along Freddy Factory, Nausea and Gags, Book Nook, The Mad Hatter Millinery, Soap & Suds, Kicks, Clearance Temple, Time Square Specialties, Novelty of the Month, and even a Bandwagon store. "Bandwagon is going to get crowded, when this place opens." Vanessa thought with a smirk, since she remembered her and the other kids back at school going there to get clothing. Bandwagon stores were usually pop culture hot spots, showing shirts with cartoons or anime, or some related accessory.
As she walked past the stores, she noticed one that stood out, due to what was at the display window. "Perfect Princess Clothing Store", the sign read from the top, as the inside of the store looked like a pink castle. It was clearly a clothing store for young girls, but what drew Vanessa's attention was a dress that was being worn by a mannequin. It was a golden princess dress with a tiara.
"Wait.." Vanessa remembered something, as she looked at the dress in the display window. There was a great sense of nostalgia, as she remembered a part of her childhood when she was young. She wore a dress like this.
Back home.
"Mom? Dad?"
In a blink of an eye, Vanessa was back home. She was only 6 years old, dressed in a golden princess dress, as she was the birthday girl. She was having her birthday party at home, where some classmates of her were sitting at the dining table or playing in the living room and backyard. She saw her brother and sister playing with stackable cups and with a remote-controlled teddy bear, which were some of the gifts that Vanessa opened up. Her father was nowhere to be found, being in the basement, however her mother was getting the birthday cake ready. There was the craze of frozen yogurt around the time, but the kids liked to pour all sorts of sweeteners and candy onto it. Enough sugar to gain cavities. But kids didn't care about that.
Her mother went out of the kitchen with a paper crown on her head. "How's my princess doing?" her mother smiled, as she had a frosting tube in her hands. The frosting was colored gold. Vanessa had only a child back then, but she remembered what people would tell her about her mother. Her father knew, but he wasn't around to tell her personally.
People saw her as eccentric, though later, they would say she was a psychotic. But the most simpler definition was that people called her mother crazy. Vanessa didn't saw her mom as crazy. She had some odd behavior that ranged from childlike to random, but she still felt she was a good mother. Her father seemed to be aware of her mother's behavior, but he loved her, regardless. "Mom. Where's Dad? I want him to be with me for my cake." Vanessa said to her mother, as she took a peek at the door to the basement. "The king is still downstairs getting things ready, my dear princess. He will join you in a moment. You already finished your yogurt, dear! Come along and play with your siblings! It's your gifts that you should celebrate." her mother helped her out of her chair, as she had her children play with one another.
"Does Mom have a Viv as a present?" her sister asked her, as Vanessa's brother was tossing a ping pong ball into one of the stacking cups. "Mary Jane from down the street has one."
"Maybe. How do you like my dress?" Vanessa asked, showing her the golden dress she was wearing. She did a little twirl, as she gave a smile to herself. Of course, her siblings loved the dress. It was one of the joys of childhood. Things in the past were like a fantasy. Vanessa was in the middle of unwrapping another gift, which turned out to be the Viv video game console that the siblings wanted, when there was some noise coming from the basement door.
Her father came out through the basement door, being burly looking, even though he would later in poor health. He was carrying something in his hands. It seemed to be something that he was tinkering with in that basement of his for metalwork. Vanessa's attention was focused on the gift that he had. "Just in time!" her father said, in a triumphant manner.
It looked like a huge birthday gift, but it was more of a box. It was colored blue with a purple stripe on each side. There was a crank on the side of the box, similar to a jack-in-the-box.
"What did you get our princess for our birthday? It's so big!"
"I found this during my shift at the scrapyard. It had tons of water damage from the looks of it. It's much lighter than it looks."
"What did you get her, though?"
"A friend she can play with! They come up when you turn the crank. Your mother and I have been getting busy lately, however I think this would be fun for your siblings." her father explained, as he put the box in front of her. Vanessa was looking at how big the box was. "Go on." her father allowed her to touch the metal crank on the side. She started to turn it with her hand, as a melody of "Pop Goes The Weasel" was being played.
Vanessa wanted to reminiscence some more, but her mind went blurry. It was another episode. Her hand was starting to shake, as she felt herself being detached from herself.
"No... Not again!" Vanessa thought, as she got the feeling again. It was the only thing she was able to think to herself, before her mind feel like it was going into shambles. Her hand was still shaking. She was about to have a panic attack from this anxiety that snuck into her. There was no one nearby. There was the restrooms. She immediately ran into the women's restroom, as she took a moment to stand in front of the sink. "Please... Please stop..." Vanessa was waiting for the jumbled thoughts to stop, as she felt her body disconnect from herself. She didn't even feel like herself. Did she even feel human? She gripped the edges of the sink on the counter, as her body shook with their sensations she didn't want to feel.
Her eyes were closed, as she waited for it to stop. She took a deep breath, as the feeling was over. She opened her eyes slowly, as she looked at the reflection in the mirror. She saw herself. But something felt wrong. She raised her hand over her face to see if something would happen. There was a brief shimmer, but her reflection became normal again. She was-
No.
She is Vanessa Price. There was a sigh of relief. It just had to happen in work, didn't it? She continued to look in the mirror. She wasn't just a college graduate. She was just a young woman who is just like everyone else. Not in casual clothing, but an actual security guard uniform. "You ok?" she heard someone said near her, as she turned to see who it was.
It was that woman again. The one who asked Vanessa for help in getting her necklace. "Erm. Yeah. Trying to cool off quick."
"Cool off?" the woman said, as she checked Vanessa out. "This place is at room temperature. You didn't have a heat flash?"
"No no no!" Vanessa got nervous and a little embarrassed at that question. "I'm just...overwhelmed. Yeah. That's why." Vanessa gave a little lie, but the woman seemed to believe her anyways. "You can say that again." the woman said, as she introduced herself. Her name was Ava Jimenez. She was a Hispanic woman with brown eyes and long brown hair. She was wearing her necklace and a pink casual business dress with some matching high heels and earrings.
"So how did you even lose that heirloom of yours?" Vanessa asked Ava. "Guest Relations wanted us to do a tour of this place to know where to direct foreign guests." Ava explained, which explained she was able to speak Spanish. "Aren't you needed now?"
"Eso fue hace un tiempo."
"Huh?"
"That was a while ago." Ava joked, restating the same thing she said in English. "Right.."
"You should cheer up. I can catch you a drink later."
"Can't. I work the night shift tonight." Vanessa said, which surprised Ava a little. "Don't you have to stay up?"
"I'm too much of a night owl. I will be fine."
"I barely get up in the morning. You know what you're doing?" Ava asked.
"I'm confident." Vanessa smiled, as she excused herself out of the restroom. Vanessa felt much better. She had some support. Her secret was still safe with her.
The 4 nightguards regrouped after they scanned the whole place. Jacob Peterson was doing the same thing again, acting like a drill sergeant, as he wanted to see how behaved they were. "I had heard no complaints about all of you so far. But this is the hard part I'm having you all do. We went over this, so I expect you know."
"The party tomorrow night?" Bruno asked him. "Very good! I'm leaving you all alone here. There is the chance that some staff might stay here to prepare for tomorrow, but for now, make sure you do your jobs. I don't want to hear any incident in the morning. Tomorrow is when this place opens." Jacob warned them, as he was starting to get ready to leave.
"Hey Peterson?" Bailey had something he wanted to say. "What is it, Logan?"
"We don't have to worry about anything else that wasn't mentioned in the rules, right?" Bailey said, which was a vague statement. "What do you mean?"
"Like something unexpected. Something we never handled or trained for before."
"I expect you to adapt! There is nothing wrong here to be concerned of. Good night to you all." Jacob said, before he put on a large coat and exited the building.
After Peterson left, Morgan and Logan agreed to be responsible with the cameras at the Main Security Hub, while Bruno wanted to mingle with Vanessa in the staff longue. Someone had brought a pool table into the room, which pleased Bruno. Bruno got his cue ready, as he used the white ball to hit a solid red ball into the hole. "You like it here?" Bruno asked her a basic question. "Huh? Me?"
"Yeah, you." Bruno said, letting Vanessa go next. "I didn't expect this job to be like living in a theme park."
"You mean-"
"Pizza Plex! I know. It's so ridiculous, but I see some irony in it. I could have taken the wife and kids here during the day, but I doubt the boss will allow me." Reed said, as Vanessa managed to get two balls near the holes. "Your kids must be happy that you're working here, though." Vanessa said. "They're more busy playing video games! You can barely find a good place for entertainment, but it's all online."
"That's not true. They can read books." Vanessa suggested, but Bruno gave her a look. "Which they like to read online." Bruno said, as he managed to reach the 8-ball. "They are still in elementary school, but I don't have the time now to introduce them to such. They know how to take care of goldfish, but that's the closest I can get them to enjoy the little things." Bruno thrusted the pool cue forward, sending the 8-ball into the hole.
"I can agree with that." Vanessa said, even though she was still single. "I figured you would." Bruno said, before continuing, "Not that I say that as an insult, but.. I guess you have an innocent demeanor that I'm seeing."
"I didn't imagine that I would appear as that.."
"Hey guys!" Logan messaged the two of them through the wristwatch, as Bruno radioed back. "We hear ya. What is it?"
"We need someone to do a patrol route inside of the place. I'm seeing some weird stuff? Looks like one of the cleaner bots had fallen on it's side."
"I can do it. I might need to check up on a couple of things while I'm patrolling." Vanessa said, as she radioed them back. "Copy, we tell you if you're on the cameras." Logan said. "You don't want another round of pool?" Bruno said, as Vanessa made sure she had everything. "Maybe another night." Vanessa replied to Bruno, before she left the staff area.
The cleaner bot was struggling to get up, as it accidently slipped on part of the wet floor in the hallway. As it tried to rev it's wheels that weren't touching the floor, it heard someone approaching them. It tilted his head to see Vanessa walking towards them. Helping up the cleaner bot, Vanessa made sure it was able to move. The cleaner bot gave a happy response, as it spoke in blips and bleeps. "No worries. You be careful now." Vanessa gave a smile at the cleaner bot, as it used its head to nod at Vanessa before moving around.
"This is Vanessa. I helped the fellow up." Vanessa radioed for Logan. Alexander could be heard on the other end. "Alright. Try to check up on stuff while you're there. Place is large, but we still see you." Logan said, as Alexander said something on the other end. "I think I see those Glamrocks waking up. Make sure they don't do anything at the green rooms!" Alexander told Vanessa, as she got his advice.
Before she went to the green rooms, she wanted to check up on the Play Palace. She ended up going through the mall area of the Pizza Plex, as some people had set up new things possibly for the opening day tomorrow. Knick-knacks like snow globes or exclusive clothes were visible on the storefronts. Stuff for tourist traps, which Vanessa knew already. Dozens of advertisement posters seemed to have the Glamrocks photoshopped or drawn in them to give some cross-promotion. It was a silly way to appeal to the masses.
The gate to the Play Palace was locked, however Vanessa went up to the locked entrance to make sure that Sunrise wasn't causing any trouble. "Hello?" Vanessa called out from beyond the gate. There was a sound of what seemed like metallic limbs moving. "Sunrise? Is that you?" Vanessa called out again, however something else approached Vanessa from behind the gate.
It was a different animatronic, but it was similar to Sunrise. Instead of a sun faceplate, it was the shape and appearance of a moon. It looked at Vanessa with silver eyes, as it's color scheme was more like pajamas. "Who is awake at the rise of the moon?" the animatronic said to her. "Where's Sunrise? Are you Moondrop?"
"Moondrop is my name, dear! Sunrise needs to sleep, since the day is gone and the night is upon all! Would you like some candy?" Moondrop reached into a pocket compartment of his endoskeleton, pulling out what appeared to be wrapped candy decorated with stars. "I'm good, thanks. Didn't he say that you were a nightguard? How are things on your end?"
"I can see in the dark and I can see when the baby birds are out of their nest. It's easy for me to put them to sleep, but I hadn't heard any baby birds lately.." Moondrop said, though the statement was a bit unnerving, even though he didn't mean to creep anyone out. Vanessa didn't seem creeped out by Moondrop at all.
"It's best you get to sleep, even though you're Mr. Sandman." Vanessa said, as she let Moondrop scurry back to which he came. Vanessa checked the mini-map on her wristwatch, as she got the directions on how to get to the green rooms. It shouldn't take a while, as long as Vanessa knew where she was going.
The Glamrocks weren't very happy at where they ended up. One can blame Roxanne, but she wasn't aware of the consequences. They were all isolated. Isolated in several "green rooms", which were actually their home stages, however the green room nickname sticked. Each room looked cozy for the Glamrocks, but they were bored, even though it had everything of their interest. Both Chica and Montgomery were attempting to "sleep" in their rooms, which they were standing deactivated, even though the night mode was still on.
Roxanne was busy trying to get a high score in Cyborg Force 2057, where the arcade joysticks were large enough of her hands. The problem was that she couldn't get pass this one boss with the lightning chainsaw. "This is rigged!" Roxanne complained to herself, as there was no other thing to for her to do. She tried to break the glass to get out, but it was very durable than she expected.
Glamrock Freddy was sitting at the vanity mirror, where he was looking out through the glass wall that made up the green room. He wished he knew more about what was going on. Why him and his friends were put in these rooms. He tried to go through one of the two electronic doors, but they refused to open. He was about to attempt to sleep like Montgomery and Chica, until he saw someone appear behind the glass.
Outside of the green rooms, there was a small button that was allowed for people to communicate with the Glamrock animatronics, usually for private tours when the animatronics aren't onstage. Pressing it will cause the intercom in that room to activate, allowing one of the Glamrocks to say a cheesy catchphrase or something scripted. However, now that the Glamrocks were sentient, it can allow people to communicate to them directly. Freddy gestured at the woman in the nightguard uniform to press the button, as the intercom went on.
"You can hear me?"
"I hear you. All of you doing good in there?" Vanessa asked Freddy, which he gave a honest answer. "No. You could provide more for us." Freddy said, as Vanessa understood. "This isn't a lot we can do for you. I'm only a night guard. I can probably ask management, but I doubt there would be any changes."
"Is this about what happened last night? With Roxanne?"
"Roxanne?"
"She's a part of the band. Montgomery told me that she scared someone before we ended up falling asleep in the morning."
"Falling asleep?" Vanessa said, however Freddy was more surprised on how Vanessa calm was towards him, compared to some other staff that visited the Glamrocks. "I'm assuming that what happens to us in the morning. We all woke up when we were alone, then more people came, we found ourselves in these rooms. Something still feels off, though." Freddy still wasn't able to understand how he was pretty much sentient.
"I think it's just a lot to take in. I feel the same job, since I have to work the night shift at this place."
"Where even are we? They keep mentioning a performance tomorrow, but we don't even have time to practice!" Freddy remarked, though Vanessa knew that she couldn't answer all of his questions. "They opening the Pizza Plex tomorrow. A lot of people are supposed to attend, so they keeping you in these green rooms. We can still give you guys company, since we're in charge of making sure no one vandalizes all of you."
"I think we will be fine. We're not the type to be vandalized, but we can handle ourselves." Freddy said, though Vanessa still wanted to help the Glamrocks. "We will still keep an eye on you, if we think you're all be in trouble." Vanessa gave a smile, showing some friendship to Freddy. For Freddy, it was something that he felt could have happened last night, if that nightguard hadn't panicked. For Vanessa, she seemed to better understand him. The two shared some more small talk, until Vanessa was called back to the Main Security Hub. Vanessa wished him well, as she left. It wouldn't be until Roxanne noticed her leaving to which she tried to get her to communicate with her with the intercom, but Vanessa didn't notice her. By the time it was too late, Roxanne can only let out a groan. "Darn.."
As Vanessa headed back to the Main Security Hub, she was heading down a hallway, where she got a text from Olivia. It was a simple question. Asking her if she was coming back to the flat tonight. Vanessa send a text that she had to stay overnight, which Ness replied that she understands.
It was the middle of the night, as Olivia got the text from Vanessa that she was going to have to stay overnight at the Pizza Plex. This was some good news for Olivia, as she can plan her attack at the Pizza Plex in peace. She was in the midst of relaxing to some classical music from the Victorian era on her headphones, as she was making a data packet for Glitchtrap, along with working on some stuff from work to stay less suspicious. She had washed off her whiskers, even though she didn't mind them being goofy-looking on her. Even though, she was well interested in doing the plan for the Pizza Plex, there was a sense of doubt in here. Doubt that was lingering within her.
"Glitchtrap..?"
"Yes?" Glitchtrap could tell that Olivia had something on her mind, as she was looking over some information about the Pizza Plex on her computer. She was almost done making a data packet for her to sneak some of Glitchtrap's special code into, but she needed to plan ahead. The next night that the plan was supposed to happen was also when Olivia would first step into the Pizza Plex. She used videos and pictures from the press release to help get some bearings, but there was one fact that she was noticing. "I know how much you want me to do this, but there are only 4 animatronics. You told me that 5 children need to die. What am I supposed to do, if there is a 5th victim?"
"My signature might be forced to become varied. However, the end result must be the same. 5 victims."
"5? Why 5?"
"The reason isn't due to the numbers. It's to show dominance. Power cannot be failed, until it is viewed by others. Killing a bunch of people at once in one night is what it's worth to prove yourself."
"I know killing that mugger was fun, but I'm not sure about children.." Olivia said, as Glitchtrap got closer to her. Glitchtrap wasn't able to touch her, since he would go through her, however he still had heavy influence over her. "You are doing them a favor.." Glitchtrap said, but Olivia could hear some frustration in his voice, almost to scare her into complying. "Imagine how happy their lives will be. Their mausoleums will be the indoor playgrounds that they rather be than real life. You know the pain they will go through as they grow up? All of their dreams will be dashed when they see how unfair the cruel world is. They will think you're a monster, but you are giving them mercy."
Olivia nodded, even though she felt something was missing. "But what should I do with a 5th victim?" It was a hard question, but Glitchtrap had a sick idea.. "This roommate of yours. Vanessa. You studied her enough to know what she is like. Innocence. Naïve innocence. You lack what she has. She is against what you value now. She must be taken care of..."
"But-"
"Don't object me, Vanny." Glitchtrap nearly sounded aggressive to Olivia, which his eyes glowed purple, which made her feel scared. Was it a natural emotion she was feeling or was it Glitchtrap causing her to feel like what she originally was? No! She didn't want to be back in that phase! She didn't want to feel empty and broken like she once was! "Please.. I think of something! I will make sure that she could die with some grace!" Olivia said nervously, as Glitchtrap looked at the closet.
"You need to remember why I'm here for you. You know what you made. Put it on. It's what your true self is now. It will make you feel better. Perfect. You will be as efficient and more stronger than me. With my credit, of course."
Olivia opened her closet, as she took a deep breath. She pulled her clothes aside, as she pulled out the costume. It was all stitched together with some fabric that she ordered, then used whatever means necessary with the help of Glitchtrap to turn it into a real costume. She did get some help with the outfit, but she lied about the purpose, of course. She wanted to wear it to see how she would feel. The costume was insulated, but she needed to wear some casual clothes, such as a t-shirt and some shorts for tomorrow.
She slipped on the lower part of the costume first, as she made sure it was fitting like a glove. Glitchtrap was leaning against the wall, watching her get the costume on, as Olivia was putting her head through the torso part. "I never thought I was so agile like this." Olivia thought to herself, which Glitchtrap heard.
"You have this potential that you were too blind to see."
"I did audition for being a cheerleader, once." Olivia said, slipping the gloves on. "Perhaps, but you never considered what they thought of you. You see what I'm making you? You are someone with a purpose. With strength." Olivia looked at herself in the mirror, as she still saw herself. The rabbit head that belonged to the costume was in her hands. It was weird, seeing herself. She's on the bridge to being Vanny, but she was still herself. She looked at the rabbit head in her hands. The eyes stared back at her.
"When I first found you, you were nothing. You were small. Pathetic. But now, you are more. Are you ready?" Glitchtrap said, as she lifted up the head and set it down onto her. Olivia kept her eyes closed, as she felt the lack of fear again. It was satisfying. It was relief. She felt herself become what she wanted to be. She gave a smile under her mask. Vanny opened her eyes, as her red eyes glowed in the mirror. "I'm ready.." Vanny said in a voice that sounded almost robotic.
Author's Notes:
Boi...
I don't think I need to be reminded. I already know what happened in June, so I don't need to know.
And yes. I'M LATE. LATE ON EVERYTHING.
*slams face into keyboard*
But.. *raises face from keyboard*
At least, we do have a possible release date on Security Breach. But no news on another trailer for the game. The current hype train is still overflowing, but I can't blame it.
For the next chapter, it's most likely going to come soon. Currently, my fall semester is coming and I'm in the process of writing an unrelated short horror story for something else on another site. Quality over quantity is what I'm attempting, even though I'm still aware of my spelling mistakes. Yes, I'm that aware..
Next chapter will be a little obvious from some people's guesses. Tomorrow in-chapter is the opening of the Pizza Plex. Vanessa is going to be passed out in her flat during the day, while Olivia takes advantage of this opportunity to plan things at the Pizza Plex for tonight. Also joining the expected cast will be our naïve socially awkward worker Luis Cabrera, Gregory, and another given guess to the reader on what the hell could possibly be underground.
All this and more. Soon.
And... Don't do drugs.
