How many licks Charlie Brown?
Charlie Brown had an orange flavored Tootsie Pop on his hand as he walked over to Snoopy.
"Hey Snoopy. How many licks does it take to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop?"
Snoopy pulled his own Tootsie Pop out and licked it a couple of times before he bit it.
"You never really made it without biting?" Charlie Brown asked again. And Snoopy nodded before pointing to a cow near by. "Ask the cow. If you say so."
So he walked over to Mr. Cow to ask him.
"Mr. Cow."
"Yes Charlie Brown?"
"How many licks does it take to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop?"
"I don't know. I always end up biting. Ask Mr. Fox. For he's much clever than I."
So he walked over to Mr. Fox.
"Mr. Fox. How many licks does it take to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop?"
"Why don't you ask Mr. Turtle Charlie Brown? For he's been around much longer than I. Me? I bite."
So he walked over to Mr. Turtle.
"Mr. Turtle. How many licks does it take to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop?"
"I don't know Charlie Brown. I've never made it without biting. Ask Mr. Owl. For he is the wisest of us all."
So he walked over to Mr. Owl.
"Mr. Owl. How many licks does it take to get to the Tootsie Roll center of a Tootsie Pop?"
"A good question Charlie Brown. Let's find out." He said as he took the Tootsie Pop and unwrapped it and then began to lick. "1. 2. 3."
And he bit it.
"Three." He said as he gave the stick back to Charlie Brown.
"Good grief." Charlie Brown said in despair.
How many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Pop? The world may never know.
