Chapter 4: Family Reunion
Few Minutes Earlier
Meanwhile back at Mickey's House, Mickey is pacing around the living room while he's on the phone. Pluto is laying on the floor. Minnie is knitting a sweater. Goofy is eating his sandwich. Daisy is posting on her social media from her phone. And finally, Donald is sitting on the couch, but he started to get impatient when there's still no response. Until then when Mickey thanked his friend and ended his phone call. Minnie stop knitted and looked at Mickey.
"Any luck?" Minnie asked.
"No, not really. Phineas and Ferb don't remember anything about another dimension. Maybe I should contact Professor Von Drake." Mickey suggested.
"What's the point?! There's no way we can travel to another world!" exclaimed Donald as he got off the chair and walked through the door.
"Donald, where are you going?" Daisy asked when followed her boyfriend.
"What does it look like? I'm leaving!" replied Donald.
"Donald, wait!" Mickey hollered.
Mickey and his friends got out from the house as the door closed behind him when following Donald.
"Donald, we can't give up now."
"Open your eyes, Mickey! We've looked everywhere and there's no sign of these girls!" Donald snapped.
"But Donald, you don't want to break their parents heart now. Would you?" Daisy reminded him.
Donald was about to raise his voice, but he quickly dropped it. He knew what Mickey says that they can't broke their parents heart. Minnie, Daisy, and Goofy stood next to Donald.
"No offense, Donald, but uh, aren't you a little bit of overreacting?" Goof asked.
Donald give him a glared. Goofy put his hands behind his back embarrassing.
"Sorry, just a thought." Goofy apologized.
"Look, I know how much the girls means a lot to you, but don't you think we should…you know…take a break." Donald suggested.
"What do you mean, Donald?" Minnie asked.
"I mean, we've been chasing on a high goose chase for five months. Let's face it. We can't go travel to another world." Donald confessed sadly.
Mickey knew that some people of Los Angeles have stopped looking for the girls, but for Donald, he couldn't believe that one of his closest friend was about to give up. He can't let all of his friends from Toontown's down and neither does Anne's parents. He dropped from sad to serious tone.
"No! We can't just give up! I made a promised to her parents. Just have faith in me. The whole country is depending on us and I for one not letting my friends down. And I will not rest until Anne and her friends has been found!" said Mickey with serious tone.
Suddenly, he didn't notice when the bright light shined behind him. Luckily, his friends looked over Mickey and stared at something that's in front of his house.
"Uh, found one." said Goofy.
"Huh?" Mickey confused.
Then, he heard some groaning. He turned around and stared at these four which it turns out to be Anne and the Plantars lying on the ground in front of his house along with Frobo's head in her backpack. They slowly woke up from unconscious and slowly lift themselves up, but what they didn't expect to see six of each toon. They all staring at each other shocking and confused. Daisy raised her phone to took a picture. Then the silence was broken.
"(gasp) What the?!" gasp Hop Pop.
"AH! What are those things?!" Sprig frantic.
"WHO ARE YOU PEOPLE?!" Polly shouted.
The Plantars started to panic since they have never seen these cartoon characters before, but as for Anne, she completely staring at Mickey. The one she remembers back when she was a kid. She was sitting right there with her eyes shocked. Mickey is staring right at her too, but he was shocked that Anne, the one he remembers her since the last time he saw her from Yen Sid's Tower.
"Anne?"
"Mickey?"
"Anne, do you know these guys?" Sprig asked confused.
Anne stood up on her feet. She quickly looked at Mickey's pals and gasp softly as Anne first looked at Minnie who gasp softly.
"Minnie?" Then looked at Donald who's concerned.
"Donald?" Then looked at Daisy who's covering her mouth.
"Daisy?" Then looked at Goofy who's confusedly staring at her.
"Goofy?" Then she looked at Pluto tilting his head curiously.
"Pluto?" Mickey's dog started to walked closer to Anne when he's sniffing. Sprig, Polly, and Hop Pop slowly step back when Pluto is sniffing at them.
"Uh, Anne? What is it doing?" Sprig asked nervously.
"I'm starting to really freaking out now." said Polly.
"Am I dreaming?" Anne asked herself believe that she's been dreaming. "There's only one way to be sure."
Anne pulled out her phone to check on something when it says "no contact", but instead it switched to "5G" with bars raising. She gasps softly with eyes wide open with sparkles blowing her hair like anime.
"I'm…home?"
"Say what?" Hop Pop asked.
"I'M HOOOOOOOOME!"
Anne hollered with echoing all over the neighborhood causing some birds flying away from the cable line. Somewhere in the park, Chip and Dale are picking up some acorns as they put it all away in their tree, but then they heard an echo.
"What was what?" Chip asked
"I don't know? Do you hear that?" Dale asked.
"Well, whoever it was, sounds like someone's home." Chip suggested.
Dale just shrugged and resume their work. Back to Mickey's House, Anne couldn't believe that she's finally home, but the question is where are they at now and as for the Plantars, they looked at Anne confused.
"Wow, Anne. You seemed look happy for this place." said Sprig
"The question is, what is this place?" Hop Pop asked.
"Why, you're in Toontown!" Goofy answered.
"Toontown?" Sprig asked confused.
"That's right, where all cartoon characters roam freely. They were originally created from the studios that lived closed to Hollywood. It all started when-" Goofy explained, but his words were cut off.
"Wait, what did you say?" Anne asked when she heard the word.
"Well, most cartoon characters were created by drawings and coloring and-"
"No, no, the other thing. The one you said at where?"
"Uh, from the studios that lived closed to Hollywood." Goofy answered as he lowered his voice.
Anne gasp. She couldn't believe what Goofy just said. Not only that she was transported back from Amphibia, but her home that lived closely to Toontown. She looked at her text on her phone and searched for her parents, but she has never seen so many text from her parents as she scrolls down to the bottom. While she reads carefully, Mickey looked at his friends with a worried face and looked back Anne.
"Say, uh…. do you remember me?" Mickey asked softly.
Anne looked at Mickey with a worried look. He took step closer to her. Anne just stood silently after her reaction from her phone.
"I…I do."
"Do you know where have you been all this time?" Mickey asked.
"Yeah, I do." Anne answered. She first turned her head at her frog family and then turned her head back at Mickey when she smiled. "I come from Amphibia."
"Amphibia?"
"Yeah, it's where all frogs, toads, and newts are. They can walk and talk and hopping around. And these are my friends, the Plantars. They took me in when I was lost in the forest." Anne explained.
Mickey and his friends looked at the Plantars whose waved their hands shyly.
"(ahem) Uh, hi there. The name's Sprig, Anne's best friend." said Sprig introducing himself.
"And I'm Polly, Sprig's youngest sister." Polly added.
"And I'm Hopidiah Plantar, grandfather of the kids, but you can call me Hop Pop for short." Hop Pop added.
"Ha ha, it's a pleasure to meet you all. The name's Mickey, Mickey Mouse. And these are my friends, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, and Goofy." said Mickey introduce his friends to the Plantars.
Pluto started to sniff at Sprig when he's nervous around Mickey's dog.
"Oh, and that's Pluto, my pet dog."
"Uh, easy boy." nervous Sprig.
"Don't worry, he's not gonna hurt you."
While Pluto sniff curiously, Donald took noticed that there's only Anne, but didn't see her friends.
"Wait a minute? Where are your friends?" Donald asked.
Anne dropped her smile when Donald mentioned it. Pluto stop sniffing as he looked at Anne and so does the Plantars. Anne forgot about her friends. She remembers when she was last seen them. Mickey grew his worried glances at Anne and so were his friends.
"Was it something I said?" Donald asked concerned.
"No, it's not that. It's just…" Anne paused her sentences. Then Minnie spoke up.
"Anne, we heard so much about you." said Minnie softly. "Mickey told us that you were there at the tower when you were a little girl."
"You know about me?" Anne asked softly.
"Yeah, you're the reason what everyone's been talking about." Donald answered.
"We were so worried about you." Daisy added.
"We heard that you disappeared with your friends from the night." Goofy added sadly.
Anne realized that now. She remembers what Mickey said that her secret is safe with Mickey and his friends. Now that they've heard everything about her absence since her last birthday where Marcy was the reason why she brought her and Sasha to Amphibia on purpose. She remembers when the newt king revealed Marcy's darkest secret. She can hear an echo voice of Marcy.
"How could you?! I've been missing with my parents, my life!"
"But look at how much fun we've had. Look at how much you've both grown. Look at Sprig. I gave you this, I gave you Everything!"
Anne started to shed a little tear. She was going to blame her best friend for all of betrayals, but decided not to because the last thing she remembers when Sprig said that Marcy did saved his life by making amends, but that wasn't good enough when Anne is still mad at her. She couldn't shake off that feeling when Marcy was standing there using the music box to open the portal that leads her and the Plantars back home. Anne remembers that day she would never forget about Marcy's fate.
"I-I'm sorry…..for everything."
"MARCY!"
First Sahsa's betrayals, then Andrias, and now Marcy. The Plantars noticed that Anne is shaking. Mickey noticed it too. Anne is taking her breathe to avoid her tears.
"How long have I been gone?" Anne asked quietly.
Mickey looked at his friends sadly and looked back Anne.
"Anne…..you've been gone for five months." Mickey answered sadly.
"What?" Anne gasp quietly.
"It's true. We stop by at your parents. They told us everything about what happened from that night. They were so worried about you."
Anne's stood there silently. She couldn't believe that not only she's been gone for five months, but Mickey told her parents about her absence along with her friends. She knew her parents were worried sick and how much she misses them that much. And by then, she quickly launched into Mickey as she hugged him gently when she started to cry.
Mickey react this way when she gives him a hug burst into tears. He remembers when Anne gives him her first hug back when she was five. Mickey slowly move his arms and accepted the hug. Sprig removed his hat sadly, Hop Pop looked down and shook his head gently, Polly hugged her robot friend's head sadly. Mickey's pals never seen her cry before.
Anne wanted to tell them about both Sasha and Marcy, but decided not to because they wouldn't believe her about what Andrias has done to Marcy right in front of her. She started to speak, but her voice is shaking with tears.
"(sniff) Sasha….Marcy….they didn't make it on time…and I…I don't know what to do anymore." Anne cried.
Mickey's pals react the same way. Minnie covered her mouth with a little tears. Donald and Daisy were holding their hands and bend their heads each other sadly. Goofy took off his hat sadly. Pluto started to whine quietly when he remembers both Sasha and Marcy, but he's worrying about Marcy ever since he first met her as a little girl. Mickey let go of his embrace and looked at Anne with her tears.
"Tell me everything." said Mickey softly.
Few minutes later, Anne was sitting on the recliner chair drinking her water on Mickey's mug as she recovers from crying. The Plantars are sitting on the couch while Mickey and his pals are standing listening to Anne's story as she told them everything about her adventure. Mickey put some photo of Amphibia that he copied and printed from Anne's phone including her friends and foes on the board that he brought down from his office. Once he put the photo of Andrias on the bottom of his board, he turned around and looked at Anne already drinking her water.
"So, this Andrias is a villain, huh?" Mickey rephrased that. "If I didn't know better, he's far more evil than any other villains."
"How many villains are there?" Hop Pop asked curiously.
"A few." Mickey answered.
"Woah, that's a lot of bad guys you've been through." said Sprig.
"That's right, and if Andrias has the music box, then what happens next?" Mickey rephrased that to Anne.
She started to think what would happen next if Andrias' plan to invade her world, but it doesn't feel like when time has strike.
"I'm not so sure." Anne answered.
"Hmm, I see." said Mickey "Well, the good news is that you're finally home safe and sound."
"Thanks Mickey, I really appreciated." Anne thanked him.
"You know, this place looks nice." said Hop Pop looking around the living room.
"Yeah, it's all too clean." Sprig commented.
"That's because I cleaned everything up every day by vacuuming, dusting, and brushing." replied Mickey.
"Now that make sense." said Sprig.
Then Polly started to hop all over the couch since she finally got her new legs.
"Legs! Legs!"
Minnie giggled at that part when Polly is hopping around. She thinks it's cute to see a little pollywog is growing up so fast.
"Aren't you a little adorable." said Minnie.
"Uh, I wouldn't call her adorable because she's not getting used to it." said Sprig.
"Now you're telling me." Donald commented.
"Not all kids are adorable, but sometimes most kids can be changed their own personality like your nephews for example." said Daisy.
"Nephews, you say?" Hop Pop asked.
"That's right, his nephews are with their mother and whenever she's busy at work, she has to drop off her kids at Donald's." replied Daisy.
"Yeah, and when my son, Max was growing up, he goes to college with his friends." Goofy remembers.
"You don't say. Well, lucky you." said Hop Pop.
Then Polly landed on Pluto when laying on the floor and he looked at the pollywog.
"Onward, my ferocious... dog? Is that what it's called?" Polly asked.
"Careful there, Pluto doesn't like anything whenever someone's getting into his personnel space." Goofy reminded Polly.
Polly looked at him as she blinks twice and then she felt like she doesn't want to get Pluto mad as she apologized to him.
"Heh heh, sorry." Polly chuckled nervously as she got off of Pluto.
"So Anne, feeling better?" Minnie asked kindly.
"Yeah, I'm all better now." replied Anne kindly. "Thanks Minnie."
"No problem."
"So what now? Should we head home or should we..." Sprig curiously asked.
"You know, maybe we should be going then." said Anne setting down a mug and got off from the recliner chair.
"Do you need a lift? I can take you back home." said Mickey as he offered her.
"Thanks, but I think I got it undercover."
"Hold it, now. You know your home is far away from here, right?" Goofy reminded Anne. "It takes a few hours to get there."
"He's right, it's very too risky to go out alone." Donald added.
Anne thought about it at first, but what if Donald and Goofy are right. She needed to get back home to reunite with her parents and showing her frog family to her parents. Then she shook her head gently with smiling.
"You know, you two are right. Can you take me home?" Anne asked.
"Of course I can." Mickey replied. Then he looked at his pals. "What do you say, gang? Shall we get going?"
"Absolutely!" Minnie agreed.
"You betcha!" Donald added. "Oh boy!" Goofy added.
"What are we waiting for? Let's go!" said Daisy.
They went through the door and closed it behind them. Mickey and Minnie got into their front seat while Anne and the Plantars hopped in the back carrying her backpack, but he forgot that there aren't any enough rooms for Donald, Daisy, Goofy, and Pluto.
"Oh, sorry fellas. Guess there aren't any rooms back there." Mickey apologized.
"It's okay, Mickey. We can all walk on way our home." replied Daisy.
"Don't you worry, I don't mind walking." said Goofy.
"Me too." Donald added.
Pluto raised his paws on Mickey's side of the car. Anne looked at Pluto when he's panting smiling.
"Don't worry, boy. I'm gonna be okay." said Anne comforting Pluto.
"Are we going to see him again." Sprig asked.
"Maybe, I don't know, but we'll have to see." Anne replied.
"You take it easy now, okay?" said Donald.
"Be careful!" Goofy added.
"Say hi to your parents for us!" Daisy reminded her.
"I will, and thanks guys." Anne thanked them.
"Catch ya later!" Sprig waved at them.
"Don't be a stranger." Hop Pop added.
"Goodbye!" Polly waved.
Then Mickey start the engine as he started to drive away from his pals waving their arms at them. Once they're far away from Mickey's pals, they stopped waving and looked at each other's eyes.
"So Anne, you ready for this?" Sprig asked.
"Yeah, as ready as I'll ever be." Anne answered.
She looked out to sightseeing at the views of Toontown. It won't be long until they reached their exit by going through the tunnel with the sign says "You are now leaving Toontown! Come back soon!". While they're driving through the tunnel, Mickey looked through the mirror to see Anne and decided to ask her more about Amphibia.
"So, what's it like back in Amphibia?" Mickey asked.
"Oh, where do I start? Oh yeah, it all started after I was separated from my friends, I was lost in the wood and took shelters where there's no place to go, but luckily for a week, that's when Sprig found me and we became friends." Anne explained.
"Yeah, I remember that day when I first met. When I thought she's some sorta dangerous creature, but it turns out that she's not a dangerous beast, she's a hero. She saved my life from that giant ferocious praying mantis!" Sprig added as he remembers.
"Giant praying mantis?" Mickey asked curiously.
"Yes sir, it was that moment when most folks trying to kill-" Hop Pop explained, but Anne cut off his sentence. "Can we skip to that part?! Sorry, I'm not ready for that part." Anne apologized leaving both Mickey and Minnie confused.
"Okay, now then, what else you've been doing." Mickey asked.
"Alright, I'm gonna skip to the part, but like I said, Sprig, Polly, and Hop Pop took me in to their home and I have to sleep in the basement, but it's pretty cool. Anyway, they teach me how to be a simple responsibility by working on a farm, doing chores, reading books, and get to know each other." Anne continued.
"That's sounds like responsible." Mickey commented kindly.
"Yeah, at first I thought it was just a total bust, but it turns out that I actually kinda like this swamp. Surely most people don't like me at first until then when the Toad Tax arrived, I have to returned their stuff to them and defend their town. And finally, when they stood up with me, they started to like me since I become their town's hero."
"Aw, that's sounds very brave of you." said Minnie.
"That's right, clearly they have some trust issues at first, but in the end, they started to treat her as their own kind." said Hop Pop.
"And that's how we became Anne's new family." Sprig added.
"That's right, and family stick together until the end." said Anne putting her arms around her frog family. Mickey and Minnie are smiling.
Suddenly, they reached to an exit that went through to the tunnel where it revealed to be a one place that was once Anne's hometown as they passed through some streets of Hollywood. The Plantars were shocked an awed as they were amazed at this city. They passed by right between "El Capitan Theater" and Chinese Theater. Once Mickey stop the car for a moment on other side of the streets, Sprig jumped off from the car followed by Polly and Hop Pop.
"Hey wait!" exclaimed Anne when she got out from the car. Once she catches up with the Plantars, they looked up in the sky and see some skyscrapers of Los Angeles. The Plantars were amazed at that scene.
"Whoa!" Sprig amazed
"Yep, welcome to Los Angeles. My home." Anne announced.
She couldn't believe that she gets to see her hometown again. She was happy at that moment. Suddenly, they heard a car honking when they looked at Mickey and Minnie waiting for them.
"We better get going. We don't want to make a traffic jam, do we?" Mickey reminded them.
"Oh! Sorry, c'mon guys." said Anne.
Once they got back into Mickey's car, they drove away to avoid some ruckus. Few minutes later at the neighborhood, Mickey parked the car by a house as he turned off the engine.
"Well, this is our stop." said Mickey.
They all got out from the car while Anne put her back pack on her back. The Plantars were curious about this place. They have never been to the human world like Anne has never been to the frogs' world before.
"(gasp) Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh!" said Sprig amazed.
He walked over to the mailbox as he pulled out some mails from the box.
"What's that thing? What are these?"
Then he looked at the pole that has buttons. He jumped on it as he pushed a button repeatedly.
"Buttons! Buttons everywhere!"
He stops pushing the button as the fly passed by him. He jumped off from the pole to catch it, but ended up getting stuck through small drain.
"HELP! This dungeon smells awful!" Sprig panicked, but luckily Hop Pop got him out from the small drain.
"Careful, boy. There's no telling what dangers lurk in this world." Hop Pop reminded his grandson.
But they looked at Anne looking through her phone to see some photos of and her friends. Once she stops scrolling, she looked at the photo of her with Sasha and Marcy. She really misses them that much. She has no idea how to make amends with them after everything they've been through. Right now, she still doesn't want to talk about this. Not in front of her frog family and her favorite idols.
"So what's our next move Anne? I mean, so much has happened. Do you think Marcy is-?"
"She's alive, Hop Pop. She just gotta be. And with her and Sasha still stuck over there, one thing is for sure, we gotta find a way back." replied Anne as she declared.
"YEAH!" Polly cheered.
"Alright!" Sprig added.
"That sounds like a plan." Hop Pop agreed.
"Wait, back?" Mickey asked confused.
"What do you mean?" Minnie asked.
"Well, it's a long story. As much as I like to reunite with my parents, but sooner or later, if we gotta find our way back is to stop King Andrias, is to go rescue my friends." Anne answered.
Both Mickey and Minnie give them a glance at each other's eyes and looked back Anne, but instead, they smiled.
"Well, if you want to go back to Amphibia, count me in!" Mickey declared.
Anne looked at Mickey. She was stunned when he decided to help out.
"Really?" Anne surprised.
"You bet I am! I love helping people when there's trouble. If that's how you wanted, then we'll be happy to help you." Mickey answered.
"How can we help?" Minnie added.
"Aw, thanks guys. I really appreciate your help. But before we do any of that, first things first."
Anne looked at her house that was still standing. Mickey and Minnie were smiling that they finally brought her home. The Plantars were curious about Anne's house.
"Anne, is this..." Sprig asked.
"My house... this is really happening. I'm gonna see my parents" said Anne softly. She couldn't believe that she was going to her parents after all five months of being stranded to another world.
"So... It's too early to call them "mom" and "dad", right? Should I call them "Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy"?" He sticks his tongue out of him. "Are they people with facial tongues?"
"Ok... you three should probably hide in here for the time being. I wanna ease them into all of this slowly. And when the time is right, I'll signal. KAW-CAW! DO NOT come out until you hear that." Anne reminded them.
The Plantars are climbing up in the garbage and recycling cans. Anne took Frobo out from her backpack leave it's head in the garbage can. She goes straight home to the front door, but stops suddenly when she forgot something to remind them again once more.
"Oh... And I'm not gonna tell them I plan to go back and stop Andrias. Or that Andrias betrayed us. Or that Marcy did. Or that Sasha did. And not A WORD about my weird glowing blue powers." Anne took a deep breath when ranting about her past. "(panting) Wow, there is a lot going on."
"Blue power?" Sprig asked.
"It was a thing?" Polly answered.
"You can count on us, Anne." said Hop Pop.
Anne walked away from the trash cans as she walked straight to the door. Mickey rubbed his finger on his chin curiously about Anne's power, but doesn't know what Anne's been talking about. She has never mentioned about how she unlocked her power back in Newtopia. Polly was looking at Frobo's head when talking to him.
"Don't worry, Frobs. We'll fix you up in no time. Anne's world is full of advanced technology." said Polly, but didn't noticed that a broken toy was malfunctioning.
Anne walked closely and stood in front of the door. She was nervous at first when she's was going to have a long talk with her parents. Anne looked back at Mickey and Minnie as they stand behind her. They both smiled softly.
"You ready, Anne?" Mickey asked.
"Yep." Anne answered and looked straight at the door. "Okay, here we go."
Meanwhile from the inside of the house, it was all too quiet with a sound of a clock. In the kitchen where it shows Mrs. Boonchuy is stirring something with a sad look on her face. She really missed her daughter very much since for over five months. When suddenly, she hears someone knocking on the door. She walked out from the kitchen and head straight to the door.
"I'm coming. I'm coming." said Mrs. Boonchuy.
Once she opens the door, but what she didn't expect to see Anne standing right in front of herm Anne sadly looked down and then looked up at her smile softly.
"Hi, mom."
Mrs. Boonchuys gasp. She was shocked. She couldn't believe it's actually Anne. Right in front of her. Her tears started to shed. She dropped the bowel of mixture and emotionally launched into Anne as she hugs tight to her daughter. Her husband pops out from the doorway of kitchen.
"What was that noise? Everything Okay?" Mr. Boonchuy asked, but look straight his wife hugging at Anne. He was shocked that his daughter is here. Anne looked straight at her dad with a little tears.
"Dad!"
"Anne?" He gasps as he ran towards them to hug his daughter emotionally. "Anne, you're back! You're safe."
They were happily reunited as they hug altogether with a mixture of happiness and tears. Both Mickey and Minnie were emotionally watching the family hugging. Then they heard a cat meowing. Anne Looked down and immediately shocked to see her pet cat walking up to her and nuzzle her legs.
"Domino! Come here, my beautiful baby!" Anne gasped.
She picked up her cat and hugged Domino gently while her parents are hugging their daughter once more. Then they looked at Anne's eyes smiling. The Boonchuys are finally reunited at long last.
"Where have you been? Are you OK? Are you hurt? Have you eaten? Your hair is a mess." Mrs. Boonchuy asked desperately while removing two leaves and a stick from her hair.
"It's a really, really long story." said Anne.
She looked back at Mickey and Minnie standing there smiling. Her parents looked at them as they smiled emotionally when they approached. They remembered what Mickey said back in five months. He told them that he made a promise. And he did. It made both mom and dad's heart feeling warmed.
"Thank you. Thank you so much for bringing her home." Mrs. Boonchuy thanked them warmly.
"How can we ever repay you." Mr. Boonchuy added.
"Aw, it was nothing." replied Mickey blushing.
"It's the least we can do." said Minnie.
Suddenly, a blue bird flies over and makes a sound. The recycling can is heard moving, which attracts Mickey, Minnie, and the Boonchuys' attention. Hop Pop comes out of the can as he slides. He stand up on his feet with a dirty banana peels on his head.
"And we're the Plantars! The lovable frog family that Anne told you all about." Hop Pop introduced himself, but Polly comes out from the recycle when give him a stern.
"Hop Pop, that wasn't the signal." exclaimed Polly sternly.
"Well, it sure sounded like the signal." Hop Pop replied.
Suddenly, Sprig pops up on the porch startling at the Boonchuys.
"Hi, mister and miss Anne's parents. My name is Sprig Plantar, Anne's best friend and a walking-talking frog."
A fly appears and Sprig swallows it by his tongue. He strikes an adorable face pose and waves his hands at her parents. But unfortunately, both Anne and Mickey does a facepalm meaning that was not the signal. Mrs. Boonchuy is shocked while Mr. Boonchuy passes out. Minnie laugh nervously.
Few minutes later when Anne has setup everything in the living room, where the Boonchuys and the Plantars are sitting on the couch while Mickey and Minnie are standing. The room is full of supporting drawings of Amphibia that Anne and her friends has been through. Anne told her parents everything about the Plantars, Amphibia, and the music box. Once she's done circling around the picture on the board, she looked at her family.
"Ok, where was I?"
"The Third Temple." Sprig reminded her.
"Right. So, as soon as we charged the last stone, the music box opened a portal that took me back to Earth." Anne explained "Before anything else could happened."
She reminded the Plantars not to tell anything else to her parents. The Plantars nod and make affirming sounds.
"But, the Plantars were sucked into the portal too and now they are stuck here until we find a way to get them home. So yeah, you're pretty much caught up." Anne finished her story.
Her parents were shocked and confused. They couldn't believe for what she's been through all this time. Then her father speaks up.
"Hold on. Back off. Are you telling us that there is a world of talking frogs called "Amphibiland"?" Mr. Boonchuy rephrased it.
"It's actually called, "Amphibia"." Sprig correct him.
"Did you make Larb out of maggots? Was it good?" Mrs. Boonchuy asked curiously.
"This is a lot to take in. I wish we could've been ease into it." Mr. Boonchuy commented.
Anne gives Hop Pop a stern while he chuckled nervously. Anne drops her stern and smiled at her parents.
"Anyway, can the Plantars stay with us until we find them a way home?" Anne asked kindly.
Her mother laugh when she thought it was joke until she stops laughing and stared at Anne confused. Then she realizes that Anne is serious.
"Wait... you're serious?" Mrs. Boonchuy asked.
"Oh mom!" exclaimed Anne. "Dad, say something."
"Anne, all of is crazy. I wouldn't believe a word of it if the small frog wasn't kicking me right now." said her dad when he felt Polly is kicking him
"New legs. You know how it is." said Polly
Both of her parents got up from the couch as they walked over to Anne.
"Your adventure is over, Anne. You're home now. The authorities will take care of your friends." Mrs. Boonchuy suggested.
"(gasp) With the police?! The government?!" Anne shocked. She turns her back on Sprig and Hop Pop defending them fearing about the government might take the Plantars for experiments. "As soon as they see talking frogs, they'll be probed to dissect them in a secret lab and used for all kind of weird experiments!"
"Used for what?" Sprig shocked.
"Can you elaborate on the probing part?" Hop Pop asked nervously.
"Anne, don't let them take us! DON'T LET THEM TAKES US!" Polly shouted while holding onto Anne's legs.
"Don't worry, guys. I will protect you. I was living in a cave when you found me. The least I can do is return the favor." said Anne calming her friends down by bending her knees and hugging them.
Her parents looked at each other thinking about what Anne said. If the government did separate the Plantars from the Anne, then they'll never get to see each other again. Then they heard Mickey's talking to them.
"It's true ma'am. Anne told me everything about the Plantars. She's really fond of them." said Mickey.
"Do you really believe that?" Mrs. Boonchuy asked.
"Why of course. I believe they deserve a chance." said Minnie.
Her parents looked at their eyes for a second and then they finally agreed.
"(sigh) Ok. They can stay. For now." said Mrs. Boonchuy.
Anne hugged her mom when happy as she believes that her parents finally agrees with Mickey and Minnie.
"Thank you. Thank you! Thank you!" Anne thanked her mother.
"Alright. If we do this, we must be careful. No one should know that you exist. You are under lockdown." said Mr. Boonchuy as he locked the door firmly.
"You heard the man. You're all on lockdown, got it?" Hop Pop added.
Her dad looked at Hop Pop confused at first when the elder frog totally agreed with this one.
"Uh, that's our exit." Mickey reminded them.
"What?"
"Oh, sorry about that." Her dad quickly unlocked the door to allow Mickey and Minnie exiting the door.
"Once again, thank you for bringing our daughter home." Mrs. Boonchuy thanked them both kindly when shaking Mickey's hand.
"You're welcome ma'am. I told you that you have faith in me." replied Mickey.
"And your secret is with us." Minnie added "And it's a good thing that Daisy already cropped her pictures before posting online."
Minnie showed her phone where it shows the photo of Anne that was edited and cropped by Daisy so that their secret will remain secured.
"Well, that's a good call." Mr. Boonchuy commented.
"Hey, Mickey?" Anne approached them.
"Yes, Anne?" Mickey asked.
"Thanks for taking me home." Anne thanked him kindly.
"You're welcome. I'm glad that you're safe and sound reuniting with your family." replied Mickey.
Anne nodded. Then she shakes her hands with him. Then the door was open as Mickey and Minnie walked through the door while Anne and her friends are waving at them.
"Well, so along folks and I'll be seeing ya, real soon." Mickey waved.
"Remember we love you." Minnie added.
"Take care of yourself." Mrs. Boonchuy exit greeted them.
"See ya later, alligator." Hop Pop added.
"Alligator?! Where?!" Polly frantic.
"It's a figure a speech." Hop Pop answered to Polly.
Once Mickey and Minnie got into their vehicle, they start the car and drove away from the Boonchuys house. By the time they left, they stopped waving and walked back inside the house. Mr. Boonchuy closed the door behind them and locked the door.
"There, now your secrets are safe with us and remember, no one leaves this house." Mr. Boonchuy reminded his daughter and the Plantars.
"Come on guys! Let's have some Earth style quarantine fun!" Anne announced.
"Yeah!" Polly cheered.
"Alright!" Sprig cheered.

(Anne went upstairs to her room to show the Plantars as she opens the door to her room. They were amazed to see her room that has her own bed right between her night stand and a window. Her dressing drawers was right by her door, her chest was in front of the window, her wall was covered by some posters and banners. Even her room ceiling was covered by some stars. She even have her own desk where her laptop is and her bean bag chair. Sprig walked over to the chest to look at what's inside while Polly is bouncing on Anne's bed.)

(Anne walked over to her closet to see her clothes as she smiles with eyes sparkles.)
"My clothes."
(Anne put on her cat shirt and hugged herself. She's glad that she gets to wear some of her clothes again.)

(First she put on her red jacket, then her scarf, then her heavy coat, her cap hat, finally she tries to put her boot, but she falls of losing her only yellow shoe. Meanwhile in the kitchen, Sprig is reading a comic book that features a purple cat.)
"What the heck?"
(Then Anne's dad took out his meal from the microwave getting Sprig attention as he was curious at the microwave.)
I'm gonna microwave a book, yeah!
Why not?
(Sprig put the comic book in the microwave and turned it on to see what happens.)
Gonna use the indoor pond, woo!
That's hot!
(Mr. Boonchuy went to the bathroom with his newspaper, but stopped and looked at both Sprig and Hop Pop are in the bath tub leaving the water running when flooding a bit while croaking. Polly pops out from the toilet croaking)
Nuke a potato,
See a bird,
(Sprig is staring at the potato in the microwave astonishing. Polly was curiously watching the bird, but Anne's dad closed the window to remind Polly that she cannot go outside.)
And look it's...
Domino!
(Polly gives him a pouty look, but Domino looks at Polly as they both stared at each other.)

(Sprig is clapping his hands while watching Anne's yellow shoe that is burning in the microwave. Polly is riding on Domino when she's enjoying with a house cat. Anne appears that she is fully cleaned and changed her new outfit. She is now wearing her shirt with white torso, pink short sleeves, an orange flame in the center of her shirt, her light blue short pants, and her short socks. Anne tried to stop Polly from play rough on her pet cat, but missed.)
"Polly!
(Her mom shows up kneeling down at her daughter showing her first aid kit in case she gets hurt. Anne looked at her mother when she started to get annoyed a bit.)

(Anne was on the internet to type the word "How to defeat the evil Newt King", but she couldn't figure out how to stop King Andrias when typing on her laptop.)

(While Anne wasn't paying attention, Sprig tries to grab something to put it in the microwave and took her phone. Her mother leaned back at her daughter suspicious. Anne quickly closed her laptop and whistled. to cover up. Sprig was about to put Anne's phone in the microwave, but was stopped by Anne just in time.)
"Sprig!"
Quarantine, shut that!
(Anne was staring out the window, but her father closed the curtain giving them each other annoyed.)
Quarantine, nuh-huh!
(Hop Pop was fascinated by looking out in the backyard where it shows a butterfly on a hot chilis, but Anne's dad closed the backyard door.)
(Sprig was pointing out from the window, but grabbed by Anne's dad and closed the window.)
Quarantine, quarantine, nice try!
(Later that night, Anne was sleeping peacefully until her phoned buzzed off waking her up.)
I think I need a little space, mom.
(Anne was about to reach for her phone, but was halted by her mom who's brushing her hair on her bed. She laughs nervously.)

Meanwhile at Mickey's House, he is wearing his pajamas when he was brushing his teeth. Once he's done, he rinsed it out by using water as he spits on the sink. Then he heard a phone call which turns out to be from Goofy with his own theme. Mickey walked out from his bathroom to his bedroom and he picked his phone up from his nightstand right next to his bed.
"Hey, Goofy." Mickey greeted. Then we see the screenshot was split where it shows Goofy wearing his pajamas and his night hat.
"Hiya, Mickey." Goofy greeted back. "Did you bring her home, yet?"
"Yep, Minnie and I brought her home safe and sound and reunited with her parents." Mickey answered.
"Thank goodness."
"Ha ha, you know me. I'm sure glad that Anne was finally reunited with her parents and of course the Plantars can stay with them for a while until we can have figured it out how to get them back to Amphibia."
"Who's we?" Goofy asked curious.
"You know, me, Minnie, Anne, and the Plantars."
"Hold on? You mean to tell me that Anne just got back home and you wanted to take the Plantars back to their world?" Goofy rephrased his question.
"That's the thing, Goofy. She told me that she's gonna find a way to get her friends back and stop Andrias from invading our world." Mickey answered his friend.
"Oh, gotcha, but uh, are you still worried about her friends?" Goofy asked softly.
Mickey paused for a moment when Anne told him about what happened to Sasha and Marcy. Anne never mentioned about this, but Mickey did recall about her past. He really wanted help Anne to get her friends back ever since he has met them once they were kindergarten back at the tower.
"Don't worry, Goofy. I'm sure they'll gonna be just fine." Mickey replied kindly.
"Okay, just making sure that you're okay."
"Yeah, let's talk about it in the morning." Mickey suggested.
"Well, goodnight, Mickey."
"Goodnight Goofy."
They ended their as the screen went back to Mickey. He set his phone down and tucked himself into his bed when turned off the light. He looked at Pluto sleeping peacefully on his bed. Mickey sighed and looked up in the ceiling.
"Sasha, Marcy, please be okay. I'm gonna help Anne find a way to get you back home."
Mickey closed his eyes as he drifted to sleep. From the outside of his house, a shooting star flew passed over his house as the crickets' chirps in peace.
