Amphibia: Calamity War

Chapter 8: Pluto Pet Sitting

One morning on sunny day at the Boonchuys residence, Anne is reading her favorite superhero comic book lying down on her bed while Sprig is searching through her chest box to see what stuff she has. Anne was happy that she gets to read her comic books again.

"Wow, Anne. You got some cool stuff that you've been saving." said Sprig looking.

"I know, dude. I've been saving a lot sometimes whenever I grow up, I give away some of my toys when I attended school."

"Huh?" Then Sprig pulled out a Mickey plush from the chest. He remembers when Anne introduced him to Mickey since they got back from Amphibia, but he has never seen a plushie like this before.

"Hey, it's Mickey." Sprig chuckled.

Anne looked at Sprig and smiled.

"Oh yeah, I remember that I used to play with when I was a kid."

"Soooo...do you often play with it?" Sprig asked.

"A little, but I stop playing with some toys when I was like around ten years old."

"Oh, that make sense." said Sprig.

"It's alright, Sprig. I can still sleep with it whenever I'm sad or depressed." said Anne when she looked down.

Sprig looked at her concerned. Anne never told him about how does she know a lot of things before she went teleported to Amphibia. Sprig glanced at the plushie and glanced back at her. He knew when Anne needs some comfort whenever she's sad. Then he decided to ask her about her first experience.

"Hey Anne, how long have you know about Mickey?" Sprig curious. "You never mentioned when he and his friends heard so much about you."

Anne looked and smile a bit. She sits up and set her comic book down at the nightstand.

"Well, there's something that I should've told you long ago. When I was in kindergarten class with my friends, we went to the museum to see some dinosaur bones and some artifacts. And that's when Marcy, Sasha, and I were wondering off into a restricted area which we didn't know and then we discovered that there was mirror which it's fancy." Anne explained.

"Whoa! Was it clean?" Sprig curious.

"Yep, it's clean alright. We were just goofing around until Marcy slipped and went through the mirror."

"Did she break it?"

"Nah, the mirror is fine which it turns out that there was a magic mirror that can takes us to the other side of the world. It's kinda like the music box, but different." Anne asnwered.

"Oooohhh! Tell me all about the mirror." said Sprig anxious with eyes sparkles.

"(chuckled) Okay, I'll tell you what's crazy. When my friends and I went through the mirror, we were in some sort of like a library where there's a lot of books and maps, then suddenly I looked out through the door and see a walking broom."

"Wait, walking broom?" Sprig confused.

"Yeah, it's totally weird, but I'm gonna cut to the chase. Like I said, I followed the broom while my friends went to catch up with me and then we took a peek and saw Mickey and his friends wearing their wizard outfits, except for Daisy and Pluto. And speaking of the wizard, there was a real wizard that I have never seen him before in my entire life."

"Wow!" Sprig impressed.

"Yeah, wow. And by then when Marcy sneezed, she got attention by accident and ran off to hide somewhere. However, Marcy was sitting under the table until Pluto walked in sniffing. And then he spotted her and then Mickey shows up when he noticed that we're here all this time and explained everything. And that's how I've met Mickey for the first time ever." Anne finished her story.

"Whoa! So that's why he knows about you."

"Yep, that's right, and he took us back to the museum. Come on, I'll show you."

Anne got off from her bed and walked over to her desk. She has her folder that has her name on it and pulled out her drawings of her with Sasha, Marcy, and Mickey by some crayons. There are also some drawings of her favorite characters like princesses and cartoon characters. Sprig was fascinated at Anne's coloring.

"Wow, you draw all of this?" Sprig impressed.

"That's right, ever since we got back home from our fieldtrip, I started to draw some arts in each color. My mom was wandering what I'm drawing and I show this to her. I know Mickey told me to keep it a secret, but I couldn't help it when I have actually met a real cartoon character."

"You sure like him that much, huh?"

"I know, right? I even have some toys to play, some books to read, and some movies or tv series to watch. Man, you should've seen the looks on my parents when they noticed I sing a song." said Anne. "Heck, even I went to Disneyland for my first visit."

"What's Disneyland?" Sprig curious.

"We have so much to discuss."

Meanwhile in the living room, Polly is looking out the window when she sees some kids riding their bikes. Polly went bored and felt a little depressed. She sighed sadly. Hop Pop was curious about the TV remote when he switched in each channel.

"So, this remote usually work when I switched it to different channel? I wonder what this does." Hop Pop curious when switched to channel.

The TV switched from auto commercial into sports channel, then from cartoon channel into breaking news channel.

"Breaking news on ABC. Last night, there were some incidents for over two days and we have no idea how did this happen. There hasn't been any anomaly sighting since 2012 by the end of summer right until today when most people complained when most cars were wrecked by unidentified anomaly. Meanwhile at the mall where there are some incidents that-"

"I've seen enough." said Hop Pop by switching channel.

Then he looked at Polly looked out in the window. He noticed that Polly was bored.

"What's wrong Polly?" Hop Pop concerned.

"(sigh) There's no fun out there when I'm bored. Why can't I go outside and play with some kids?" Polly asked.

"Because, Polly, we can't risk reveal ourselves to humans and even if we did, we'll make the world go panic and called the authorities." Hop Pop answered.

"Yeah, I get that. But I mean, why can't I go make some new friends?"

"Because the last time when you almost got into fight with some kids."

"Hey, it's not my fault some babies ruining my hard work!"

Suddenly, Anne and Sprig walked downstairs to check on Polly and Hop Pop.

"Hey, what's going on guys?" Anne asked.

"Polly was just anxious to go out and meet some kids." Hop Pop answered.

"Are you okay? You seemed went downer." Sprig concerned.

"Oh, it's fine. It's just...ever since Frobo got crushed, and I don't know how to fix him." said Polly sadly.

"Hey cheer up, Polly. We'll find a way to fixed him. I promise." said Anne comfort Polly.

Then she smiled back at Anne. Suddenly, they heard Anne's mother calling out for breakfast.

"Anne! Breakfast!" Mrs. Boonchuy hollered from the kitchen.

"Okay, mom!" Anne hollered. "C'mon guys, it's time for breakfast."

"Oh boy! Breakfast!" Sprig cheerfully.

"Let's eat!" Polly added.

Hop Pop turned off the tv and as he got off the couch when they all walk straight to the kitchen. They all sat down at the table, but the Plantars have never seen such this meal before which it turns out to be pancakes with butter on it.

"What is that?" Sprig curious.

"It's called pancakes." Anne answered "One of the best breakfast in the house."

"Was it good?" Polly asked.

"Yeah, try it out and you'll gonna love it." said Anne.

Sprig picked up a fork and stabbed the pancake off the plate and took a bite of it. Then his eye sparkles and he smiled.

"Wow! So delicious!"

Hop Pop take a bite out the pancake and he enjoyed it.

"That is so good!" said Hop Pop. "It tastes better than my homemade pancake back in Wartwood."

"Polly like it!" said Polly when she took a bite on a pancake.

"See, I knew you liked it." said Anne before she eats her pancakes.

Her parents' glances at the Plantars warmly smiled when they enjoyed their most delicious pancake. Suddenly, her phone rang when Anne's mother picked up and answered the call, but didn't notice when there's a random phone number.

"Hello?"

Then she heard a voice and then smiled when she remembers.

"Mickey! So good to hear you called me."

Anne and her dad looked at her surprisingly. The Plantars were curious about her phone call. They can still listening to Mrs. Boonchuys talking.

"It's fine. How are you this morning?"

They heard Mickey's voice, but sounds gibberish when it's too hard to hear him.

"So, what do you need with?" Mrs. Boonchuy asked and waited for reply. Then she rephrased her question. "Wait, dog sitting? You serious?"

Polly eavesdropping on Mrs. Boonchuys, but Anne grabbed Polly to prevent her from eavesdropping. Then her mother smiled.

"Absolutely." Then she heard him saying thanks. "You're welcome, we'll see you soon."

Mrs. Boonchuy ended her called and looked at Anne.

"Good news, Anne. You got called in for pet sitting Pluto."

"(gasp) Seriously?!" Anne surprised with eyes sparkles.

"Since when did Anne pet sitting?" Hop Pop asked.

"I've started pet sitting for cats and dogs at the same time when I was ten when my mom insist that I need to get out of the house more often." Anne replied.

"I thought you like cats?" Sprig confused.

"I do, but I also like frogs as well you guys."

"Aw, thanks Anne."

"So honey, what do you think?" Mrs. Boonchuy asked her husband.

"You know, I think that sounds a great idea." Mr. Boonchuy replied.

"Oh! Can we come?" Sprig insisted.

"Of course, you can, but as long as you don't reveal yourselves to anyone." Mr. Boonchuy reminded them.

"YEAH!" The Plantars cheered.

"Thank you so much, you guys! I've always wanted go back and see many things in Toontown." Anne smiled when she hugged them.

"Of course, sweetie. Now get yourself ready. We'll be leaving shortly." said Mrs. Boonchuy.

Anne and the Plantars sits up and leave the table to get themselves ready while her parents stays at the table.

"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Mr. Boonchuy concerned a bit.

"Yes, yes it is." Mrs. Boonchuy replied.

Few minutes, they've already left the house as they approached the tunnel that leads them to Toontown. Anne's father gently hit the brake as the car halt in front of the tunnel. They were staring at the entrance with a sign says "You're halfway there!".

"You have reached your destination. You are halfway there." said the GPS.

Both of her parents were curious when they have arrived at the entrance since they used their GPS by directing them to Toontown. The Plantars dressed up in their disguise just in case.

"So that's it? Is this the place?" Mr. Boonchuy asked.

"Yep, that's the entranced where Mickey and Minnie took me back home." Anne answered.

"Shall we." Her mother asked kindly.

"By all means." Her father sighed.

Then he start to drive when enter the tunnel. It won't be long until they reached through the exit where it shows some trees and grass. They looked out sightseeing on this scene. Then suddenly, they stop their vehicle when the railroad crossing blocked the car.

All of sudden, they heard a whistle. They looked left out from the window when a steam engine, Casey Junior passed by as he smiled at them carrying some six passenger express. Her parents were confused at the train, but the Plantars were amazed at the train.

"Whoa! Now that's a huge train." Sprig amazed.

"Yep, it's a small world after all." said Anne.

Once the train passed, the railroad crossing unblocks them and he resumed driving as they droved by with the sign says "Welcome to Toontown!" decorated with a picture of a sun. Then they drove by some residents that are like anthropomorphic mammals and birds wearing their clothes strolling all over the town. These people reminded the Plantars that there are some anthropomorphic amphibians back home.

"Wow, look at all of these people. It's like back in Amphibia." said Hop Pop.

"Yeah, it sure is." Sprig agrees.

Polly looked out the window and see some anthropomorphic kids playing at the playground. Polly gasp with eyes sparkles.

"Hop Pop, can I go out and meet some new friends? Can I? Can I? Can I?" Polly anxious.

"Not so fast Polly, you know the rules." Hop Pop reminded her. "You can't go outside as long as you stay with us wherever we go."

"He's right, Polly. Remember what dad says, you gotta keep it a secret from anyone." Anne added.

"But what about all of the animals? They don't mind." Polly insisted.

"Not all animals lives here, Polly. There are some humans that are fully animated when they are around since 1937."

"Wait? Humans are cartoons?" Sprig confused.

"It's kinda like different from between real humans and cartoons characters. You know what I mean." Anne explained.

Polly frowned. Her parents were impressed that Anne knows a lot about toons.

"Wow, I'm impressed." Mrs. Boonchuys.

"You have reached your destination." said the GPS.

"Well, here we are." said Mr. Boonchuy as he parked the car by Mickey's House. Anne and the Plantars got out from the car while her parents stay put.

"So is this where you ended up here?" Mrs. Boonchuy recalled.

"Yeah mom, that's where I end up here." Anne recalled quietly when she remembers about what happened after last time they were teleported.

"Well, you four take care of yourself and I want you on your best behavior." Mr. Boonchuy instructed them. "We're gonna drove around town until when it's time to go."

"You got it!" Anne listened.

"Have fun out there." Mrs. Boonchuy waved at them as they drove away.

"Bye mom! Bye dad!" Anne hollered.

"Bye Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy!" The Plantars hollered.

They waved their arms at her parents until they left. They stopped waving and walked up to the front door. Anne rang the doorbell until the door opens where it shows Mickey wearing his red button shirt with yellow shirt inside, blue pants, and brown shoes smiling at Anne and the Plantars.

"Anne, you made it!" Mickey smiled.

"Hi Mickey." Anne greeted. "We've finally made it."

"Hi there, Mickey." Sprig greeted.

"Ha ha, hiya folks. Come on in." said Mickey when they entered through the door while Sprig took off the mask. "I can't thank you enough for watching over Pluto while I went on a date with Minnie."

"Ruff! Ruff!"

They looked at Pluto barked happy when they arrived. Anne kneeled to Pluto when approached.

"Hey, Pluto! Did you miss me?" Anne cheerfully.

"Ruff! Ruff!

"Me too! Who's a good boy? Yes, you are. Yes, you are." said Anne rubbing Pluto's head and petted him.

The Plantars felt happy at them.

"Man, she sure love dog, huh?" Sprig asked.

"Yeah, it sure is." replied Mickey when he noticed some disguises that they were wearing.

"I see you put on some disguises."

"Oh this, yeah, it's the only better options to wear humans' clothes and I kinda liked it." said Sprig.

"It's true, it's probably the best not to reveal ourselves to humans since most of them are fully animated here." Hop Pop added. "Am I right?"

"I guess that's okay then. So uh, here's the list I written down for you when you're watching over Pluto." said Mickey.

He hands out the list to Anne as she looked at the list where it shows five lists for each task.

"Huh? Well, that was easy."

"Yep, thought I could give you a head start. Now before you go, follow the instructions when you fed him, play with him, bathe him, brush him, and walk with him." Mickey instructed her. "The last time I left him alone while I went to get some mail."

(Flashback starts)

Mickey was whistling when he got back home with his mails, but all of sudden, he sees his was a huge mess when Pluto is chasing Chip and Dale around the front yard while the sprinklers went leaked like a fountain. And there were some toilet papers everywhere around the house with some smoke coming out from the chimney. Mickey was stunned shockingly.

(Flashback ends)

"Whoa! Now I know how that feels." Sprig commented.

"Don't you worry, Mickey. I promise that I won't let you down." said Anne.

"That's the spirit!"

Then he looked at his watch when beeping.

"Oh, I better get going. Good luck, Anne." Mickey waved when he exits through the door.

"Thanks Mickey, I'll take care of him." Anne hollered.

"Take care of yourself!" Sprig added.

"Don't be a stranger!" Hop Pop added.

Once Mickey got into his car and drove away leaving Anne and the Plantars with Pluto.

"So, what now?" Polly asked.

"Well, looks like we're gonna have so much fun." said Anne. "Right Pluto?"

"Ruff! Ruff!"

"You just read my mind."

Her first task is to give Pluto some treat when he's start eating his brunch while Anne is petting him. Her second task is where Anne and Sprig are playing with Pluto by throwing a frisbee. Pluto ran as he jumped high and caught in his mouth as they cheered when they high five.

Her third task is giving Pluto some bath when is scrubbing with soap to wash Pluto in the the bucket while Sprig washed him off. Pluto shake himself off by splashing his fur off at Anne and Sprig while laughing. Her fourth task is to brush Pluto really good while relaxing after they're done washing him clean.

And finally, they took a huge break from her task when they are watching tv show on Mickey's TV where it shows a cookie monster is eating up all of the cookies and they were laughing at the part.

"Aw man, that cookie monster is eating up all of the cookies for this? Who does that?" Sprig laughed.

"I know, right. Now, who's ready to go out for walk?" Anne smiled raising her fist.

"YEAH!" "WOOF!"

Anne and the Plantars walked out through the door holding onto Pluto on a leash. Pluto panted happily when he loves to go out for a walk. Sprig put the mask back on.

"Alright, gang. We're gonna go walk straight to the park and head back here. It won't be long until mom and dad are here to pick me up by the time Mickey got back home from his date." said Anne announced.

"Sounds like a plan." Sprig agrees.

"Yes!" Polly cheered.

"And remember, we have to stick together, so don't leave from my sight." Anne continued.

"No problem!" said Sprig.

"You can count on us." said Hop Pop.

"Good, now let's go." said Anne as they start walking to the park.

Meanwhile in downtown, Anne's parents are driving around the city until they stopped by the red lights. Suddenly, there were seven dwarfs, Doc, Grumpy, Happy, Sneezy, Bashful, Sleepy, and Dopey walking across the streets while Anne's parents are watching.

"Aw, aren't they adorable?" Mrs. Boonchuy cooed.

"Huh, I guess Anne's right. Not all animals lives here." Mr. Boonchuy admits.

Then all of sudden, a platypus on a motorcycle arrived as it parked next to the Boonchuys' car. Anne's dad took a glance at a platypus wearing a fedora and glance back on the road, but his eyes went wide and quickly looked at the platypus, but with a fake mustache and a glasses. When the lights turns green, the platypus drove away leaving Anne's dad confused.

"Okay that is so weird."

Then he starts driving passing by a restaurant where Mickey and Minnie are sitting at the table as they chat about his day. Minnie is now wearing her yellow hat with pink bow on it, pink and yellow shirt, light purple shirt, and her sneakers with two pink bows on it.

"Oh Mickey, I'm so glad that you come over for our date." Minnie smiled.

"Aw thanks, Minnie. I had to call her parents so that Anne would watch over Pluto."

"Oh, how was she?" Minnie asked.

"She's doing great. I'm sure Anne is getting along with Pluto just fine." replied Mickey

Meanwhile at the park, Anne, Pluto, and the Plantars are walking through the park where most folks passed by such as two couples walking with their Dalmatian dogs, Pongo and Perdita, Chip and Dale are cleaning up their treehouses by sweeping and dusting, and finally Bre'r Rabbit was bouncing passed by them.

"Wow, it's beautiful." said Sprig softly.

"Yeah, man. It sure is pretty." said Anne.

"What a lovely day strolling down the park. It's like strolling down back in Wartwoods." Hop Pop added.

"You can say that again." Polly commented.

But suddenly, Polly took a glance at the ducklings, Huey, Dewey, and Louie whose playing with some marbles. Polly gasp with her eye's sparkles. This could be her big chance to meet some kids. Polly catches up with her family and hopped right in front of them.

"Hop Pop! There are three ducklings playing! Can I meet them? Can I? Can I?" Polly desperate.

Anne, Sprig, and Hop Pop took a glance at the triplets when they noticed about them. Then Anne started to recognize them since Daisy told them about.

"Hey, it's Huey, Dewey, and Louie. Donald's Nephews."

"Wait, those three?" Sprig curious.

"Yeah, do you remember what Daisy's been talking about?"

"Oh yeah, I remember that now." Hop Pop recalled. "But, uh.. which one is which?"

"Oh, Huey is red, Dewey is Blue, and Louie is Green." Anne explained.

"That's great news, now can I meet them? Please? I promise that I'll be good." Polly pleaded.

Both Anne and Hop Pop started to get suspicious on Polly, because they know what happen last time back in Wartwood. They were staring at Polly's pouty face with eyes sparkles. Anne and Hop Pop took a glance at each other and then they sighed.

"Okay, just for once, but nothing else." Anne approved.

"YES!" Polly cheered. "Oh, thank you!"

"You're welcome, now don't wandering off." Anne reminded her.

"I'll keep an extra eye on you." said Hop Pop.

"Okay, bye!" Polly fled and ran over to meet the ducklings.

"This is probably not a good idea." Hop Pop concerned.

"Don't worry, she'll be just fine. It's not like she gonna reveal herself." said Anne.

"Ha, as if." Sprig comments.

"Why don't you two kids take a bench while I go get something to drink."

"Okay, but hurry back." said Anne.

"Thanks kids, I'll be right back." said Hop Pop as he left.

Both Anne and Sprig walked over to the bench when sitting down while Pluto lays on the grass took a little nap. Meanwhile, Huey, Dewey, and Louie are playing their marbles as they broke the records and until they heard Polly's voice.

"Excuse me?"

They looked at Polly waving her arms smiling.

"Hi." Polly greeted.

"Oh, hey there kid. What's your name?" Dewy asked.

"I'm Polly, and I guess that you must be Donald's nephews."

"You know uncle Donald?" Louie asked.

"That's right, you're Huey, Dewey, and Louie, right?"

"Yep, that's us!" replied Huey

"So, where'd you come from? Are you new here?" Louie asked curious.

"Actually, I'm not from here obviously. I'm from..." Polly paused her sentence.

She took a glanced at Anne and Sprig sitting on the bench relaxing, then glanced at Hop Pop getting himself a drink while waiting in line. Polly knew what Anne told her not to reveal herself, but then she decided to cover up her story.

"I have come from a far distance with my brother and my grandfather."

"Cool!" said Huey.

"So, what are you, some sort of bouncy ball?" Dewey curious.

"Actually, I'm pollywog." Polly explained when she took off her hat with wig.

"Whoa!" They all gasp.

"Are you a frog?" Louie asked

"Why yes, yes I am." Polly answered putting back her wig on.

"Wow, I never seen this frog before." said Dewey.

"Yeah, so what do you do besides bounce?" Huey asked

"Well, I sorta do some making havoc like pranks or something." Polly answered.

"You don't say?" Dewey curiously asked.

"Yeah, you see I was wondering if I could tag along with you three because I never made some friends, well except most of them obviously."

Huey, Dewey, and Louie started to think about Polly and then they smiled.

"Say Polly, how'd you like to tag along with us?" Huey offered.

"Do I!" Polly ambitious.

"Yeah, it'll be fun! I hope your grandfather doesn't mind." said Louie.

Polly took a glance at Hop Pop still waiting in line. Polly thinks about it at first, but then she just shrugged off.

"Eh, I don't see why not." said Polly.

"Alright!" cheered the ducklings.

"Come on, let us show you around!" said Louie

Then Polly ran off with Huey, Dewey, and Louie without getting caught. Meanwhile waiting in line for a coffee kiosk, Hop Pop walked up to the kiosk when a duck was standing waitng for order.

"Can I help you, sir?"

"Why yes, I would like to have a Frappuccino that most humans taste. You see, I kinda just moved somewhere in Los Angeles." said Hop Pop when covering up his existence.

"Okay, then that'll be ten dollars."

Hop Pop was about to search for his wallet, but then he felt that his pocket is empty. He totally forgot his wallet back at the Boonchuys residence.

"Oh no! I forgot my wallet! Hop Pop panicked.

"That won't be unnecessary."

Hop Pop heard a voice when he turned around which to turned to be Scrooge McDuck as he approaches to the kiosk when he hands ten-dollar bill to the duck vendor. Then the vendor duck hand over the Frappuccino to Hop Pop.

"Oh, why thank you, kind sir." Hop Pop thanked him by shaking hands. "The names Plantar, Hopadiah Plantar.

"Scrooge McDuck at your service." said Scrooge. "What brings you here in this fine place?"

"Well, I'm glad you ask, you see my grandchildren and I just moved to Los Angeles three days ago." replied Hop Pop.

"Ah, you reminded me of myself when I had my nephew and my great nephews." replied Scrooge.

"So uh, what did you say their name was?" Hop Pop curious.

"Donald Duck, Huey, Dewey, and Louie."

(gasp) You're Donald's uncle and the triplets great uncle?!" Hop Pop gasp.

"Why yes, yes I am." Scrooge answered.

"Finally, someone's understands my language." said Hop Pop dreamily when drinking his Frappuccino while Scrooge was confused at him. Then he glanced at the vendor duck.

"Don't mind him, he's new here."

Back with Anne and Sprig sitting at the bench while Pluto is resting. Anne looked up in the sky and see plane flying above them. Sprig was curious about this place.

"Hey Anne, what's that flying?" Sprig asked.

"That's an airplane. It's where most people take flight from here to anywhere." Anne explained.

"Wow, I wish I can fly."

"Only birds can fly." Anne teased.

"You wish." Then he saw a mother duck with eight ducklings strolling passed by them. "A bunch a baby duck?"

"Aww, it's so cute!" Anne cooed when she took a picture at the ducklings with their mother.

"Wow, I never seen you happy like this since you got back from Amphibia." said Sprig.

"Yeah, things sure does change." replied Anne.

She looked at her phone looking through some photos of her with Pluto and her frog family, then her photo of her with the Plantars, Mickey, Donald, Goofy, and Pluto, and finally she scrolled up and see the photo of her with Sasha and Marcy. She started to frown. Sprig noticed that Anne was frowning once again. Every time he sees Anne's frowning when she looked through her photos. It made him sad a bit.

He did remember what happened back there. Clearly, he was shocked and disgusted for what Marcy did, but in the end, Marcy did save his live from falling out from the sky. He can't say he couldn't blame her after what has happened to her. Then spoke out.

"Anne, are you okay?" Sprig asked softly.

"Hmm, oh, yeah. I'm okay."

"Are you sure? You seemed happy at first, but you went a little downer for a while."

"(sighed) Sprig, just because I missed my best friends that much, but that doesn't mean that can't stay mad at them." Anne replied when rubbing her palms by her left hand.

"Hey Polly! You how's it hanging-" Sprig paused his sentenced when he didn't notice where Polly was gone. "Hey, Anne, you told Polly not to wander off, right?"

"Yeah, but she was right there with the boys. They couldn't just run off somewhere." replied Anne.

Then she started to realize when she asked Polly not to wonder off, but Polly just did wonder off with Huey, Dewey, and Louie. She took a glanced at Hop Pop talking to Scrooge far away from the distance. Clearly Anne quickly remembers Scrooge when he was there chatting with Hop Pop, but right now she started to get annoyed when things go wrong.

"She didn't." said Anne deadpanned.

Back to Hop Pop and Scrooge talking to each other about his life story which he made Scrooge both curious and confused.

"And when I said, "Didn't I warned you not to go to the lake?" and then they said "Oh, I'm sorry, I thought it be safe?", but no, didn't they listen to my warnings? No, they didn't." Hop Pop continue his story.

"Hop Pop!"

Both Hop Pop and Scrooge looked at Anne walked closer with Sprig and Pluto as they approached. They both looked at Anne.

"Oh, hey kids. I went to get some coffee and met this fine gentleman." said Hop Pop.

"Well, if it isn't Anne." said Scrooge smiling. "Hop Pop told me everything about you."

"Oh, uh…yeah, that's me." said Anne.

"My, you look so well. I heard what happens that night and we looked everywhere to find you. But lucky you, you and your… friends has been found by Mickey and bring you home safe and sounds." replied Scrooge.

"Oh, thank you. Anyway, we got a problem, Polly is missing!"

"She did what?! I told her not to wander off!" Hop Pop exclaimed.

"Yeah, I know. Maybe this has something to do with some schemes along with the boys."

"Wait, you mean my grandnephews?" Scrooge asked

"Right, were splitting up into two teams. Sprig, Pluto, you're with me. While the two of you, go and search for Polly. She could be anywhere around this city. We can't let my parents know about this." said Anne.

"I have to agree with you, lassie. Looking after the boys was my big responsibility while their mother is busy." said Scrooge.

"And Polly was my responsibility too, and I cannot make that same mistake since yesterday."

"We gotta find those kids!" said Hop Pop.

"I agree. Come on! I have a ride that can help us." said Scrooge when they both fled leaving Anne, Sprig, and Pluto.

Anne looked at her phone to check the time to see how much time does she has left before Mickey is home while her parents went to pick her and the Plantars up, but right now Polly is missing and there's no sign of her.

Anne walked back over to a bench and sat down gloomy. Sprig noticed this and walked over to her while Pluto was concerned.

"Anne, you okay." Sprig asked.

"No, it's fine."

Sprig knew her well. He really knew that his best friend would never beating herself up. He sat on the couch to comfort her.

"(sigh) Polly, where are you" Anne mumbled.

"Hey, why the long face kiddo? Lie down before you hurt yourself."

Anne looked up when she recognized that voice. Then she looked at where Timon and Pumbaa approaches.

"Timon? Pumba? What are two you doing here?"

"Just thought we can stroll around downtown. What are you been up to?" said Pumbaa.

"We were just thinking about Polly, you know, my little sister." Sprig answered.

"You mean the little pollywog?"

"Yeah, her."

Then a fly shows up and then Sprig took off the mask to spit out his tongue and he swallows it. Timon and Pumbaa blinked their eyes twice and then they smiled. No one ever mentioned about last night when they first met.

"So, you eat bugs, eh?" Timon curious.

"Why yes, yes I do."

"Really? Not even some cows over there?" Timon pointed his thumb back where it shows three cows wearing each bell.

"Uh, no?" replied Sprig

"Or a chicken?" Pumbaa asked where it shows a rooster is pecking a rock.

"You mean a rooster?" Sprig corrected Pumbaa.

"Warthog?" Timon asked.

"No?" Sprig confused.

"Meerkat?" Pumbaa asked.

"No!" Sprig chuckled.

"That's what I like to hear!" said Timon.

He and Pumbaa walked over to the log where they stood by. Timon snap his finger. Pumbaa lift up the log. And then Timon gathered up some bugs that's been under.

"Behold! Grubs!" Timon presenting bugs.

"Slimy, yet satisfied." said Pumbaa when he set the log down.

"A token to our beautiful friendship." Timon added.

They walked over to Anne and Sprig where they're sitting while Pluto cringed for that part. Timon raised a leaf full of bugs to offered some for Sprig while his eyes were sparkles.

"Well kid, what do you say?" Timon offers

"It occurs to me that I have eaten bugs for five months." said Anne as she felt nervous a bit.

"Don't mind if I do!" Sprig smiled.

He took the leaf as he munched down all of grubs. He's chewing slowly. Sprig has never tasted some earth bugs before, well despite some bugs from Amphibia. Anne chuckled at her friend while Pluto felt uncomfortable. Sprig swallows it.

"Ah, trustworthy." said Sprig dreamily.

"I like you kid. We're the best of friends who will do anything for all friends." said Timon.

Anne dropped her smile from that moment. The word has triggered into her mind. She started to think about her best friends. Anne did remember when she first Marcy, then Sasha, and now that her friends were both stuck in Amphibia. Anne did recall as she looked down at the ground.

They noticed Anne depressing. Timon and Pumbaa never seen her depressed before. She reminded them whenever most friends were sad or lonely.

"You okay, kid?" Timon concerned.

"Yeah, guess so." Anne answered quietly.

They both glanced at each other and then look at Anne. They both know what they can do is to cheer her up.

"You know, kid. We noticed that look ever since you have return from five months. We heard what happen back there when Mickey and his friends put up a social media about you and your friends and we looked everywhere throughout the city. I just wanted to let you know, we're really sorry about Marcy and Sasha." Pumbaa apologized.

Anne looked up at Pumbaa as she smiled softly.

"Thank you." said Anne softly.

"Yeah, I know how that feels." said Timon rubbing his back when he mentioned.

"You know what they say, you gotta put your behind in your past." said Pumbaa incorrect.

"No, no, no! It's "You gotta put your past behind you". Look kid, bad things happen and you can't do anything about it. Right?"

"Right." replied Anne.

"Wrong!" said Timon point his finger at Anne's nose. "When the world turns it's back on you, you turn your back on the world."

"That's not what Anne's taught." said Sprig.

"Then maybe you two need a new lesson. Repeat after me. (Ahem) Hakuna Matata."

"Harpoon a tomato?" Sprig confused.

"Hakuna Matata. It means no worries." Pumbaa explained.

"Oh, I get it! Do you speak gibberish?" Sprig asked.

"Actually, we're from Africa." Pumbaa correct Sprig.

"What's Africa?"

"Where we come from, is where all wild animals lives in the heart of savannah. It all begins here as we sing. Why...(ahem)" Timon pause his sentence before he starts to sing.

(Hakuna Matata (Extended Edition) - Timon, Pumbaa, Anne, and Sprig)

Timon: When I was a young meerkat

Pumbaa: When he was a young meerkat!

Timon: (spoken) Very nice.

Pumbaa: (spoken) Thanks.

Timon: I worked in the colony, paying my dues

Accepting without question the prevailing views

That a meerkat's life was one long grind

Pumbaa: Sounds rough.

Timon: Diggin' holes, standin' guard till it crossed my mind

I was wrong

Pumbaa: He was wrong!

Timon: And all alone

Pumbaa: All alone!

Timon: All that I needed

Pumbaa: What did you need?

Timon: Was to have heeded

Pumbaa: Sing, Timon!

Timon: Hakuna Matata, what a wonderful phrase

Pumbaa: Hakuna Matata, ain't no passing craze

Timon and Pumbaa: It means no worries for the rest of your days

It's our problem-free philosophy

Timon: Hakuna Matata

"Hakuna Matata?" Sprig rephrase the word.

"Yeah, it's our motto." replied Pumbaa.

"What's a motto?" Sprig asked. "Nothing! What's a motto with you!" Timon teased.

They both laughed while Anne and Sprig join the laugh.

"You know kids, these two words will solve all your problem." said Pumbba

"Yeah, take Pumbaa here!" said Timon.

Timon: Why, when he was a young warthog...

Pumbaa: When I was a young warthog!

Timon: (spoken) Very nice.

Pumbaa: (spoken) Thanks.

Timon: He found his aroma lacked a certain appeal

He could clear the Savannah after every meal

Pumbaa: I am a sensitive soul

Though I seem thick-skinned

And it hurt that my friends never stood downwind

And oh, the shame!

Timon: He was ashamed!

Pumbaa: Thought of changing my name!

Timon: Oh, what's in a name!

Pumbaa: And I got downhearted!

Timon: How did you feel?

Pumbaa: Every time that I-

Timon: (spoken) "Hey, Pumbaa! Not in front of the kids!"

Pumbaa: (spoken) "Oh, sorry."

(Anne and Sprig were confused when looking at the camera view.)

Timon and Pumbaa: Hakuna Matata! What a wonderful phrase!

Hakuna Matata, ain't no passing craze

Anne and Sprig: It means no worries for the rest of your days

"Yeah, sing, kids!"

Timon, Anne, and Sprig: It's our problem-free...

Pumbaa: philosophy!

All: Hakuna Matata!

(Instrumental Bridge)

They stop singing and looked at each other smiling. Anne felt like she was all better now. She has never felt so happy ever since she got back from Amphibia along with the Plantars.

"Wow! I feel great!" Anne exclaimed.

"See, I told you you liked it." said Timon.

"You feeling better, Anne?" Pumbaa asked.

"As the matter of fact, I am." Anne answered.

"Hey, maybe you two can help us looking for Polly while we're searching." Sprig offered. "Are you up for it?"

Timon and Pumbaa take glance and smiling.

"Well, shall we?" Timon asked.

"The more, the merrier." replied Pumbaa.

"Alright!" Sprig cheered.

"Yeah!" Anne cheered.

"Woof!" Pluto bark happily.

"That's the spirit! C'mon, let's go find Polly." said Timon when he hopped on Pumbaa's back while Anne, Sprig and Pluto are following them as they were walking through the park once they reached to the streets where that can lead straight to the studio.

(Music ends)

While they were walking when dancing around downtown, Anne's parents are still driving around the city to see what place they like to go for a visit. Anne's father is driving while his wife is looking out window to see something.

"Well, this place seems nice. Everything's all cartoonish." said Mr. Boonchuy.

"It sure is. Any dinner plans for tonight?" Mrs. Boonchuy asked.

"I was thinking if we could take a dine here somewhere, but how are we gonna choose."

Then they stop at the red lights while thinking something on what's for dinner, but they didn't notice when Polly, Huey, Dewey, and Louie are walking across the street when they have something so mischievous.

I thought by made an extended edition of Hakuna Matata when I looked up online at Disney Wiki for deleted scenes and that's when I extended my favorite song. Hope you enjoy listening to the music. Stay tune for the next chapter!
