Chapter 17: Anne Before Time
In the middle of the west where townsfolks are having their own routine, but there were two cowboys doing a showdown in between a ranger and a black robber as they were about to draw. But suddenly, an astronaut bumps into the cowboy as he running screaming which turns out to be a studio set when filming.
"Hey! What are you..."
"RUN!"
The director was confused, but all of sudden they heard a stomp. The trees are shaking when birds flew away. They started to panic when the huge footsteps getting closer. They stop filming and runs away from the studio set.
Most employees, crew members, and all of actors are running away screaming throughout the town square set while the alarm car was heard. Even a random person was on fire. The astronaut looked back where it shows a reflection of a dinosaur.
Everyone burst out from the main gate running. Once the whole crowds are running away, a dinosaur which turns out to be a Tyrannosaurus Rex burst out from the main gate as it fit through with a little crack and roars triumph. Then it shows the title for the attraction.
"Introducing, Jurassic World: The Ride!"
Then it shows a marine reptile, Mosasoaurus swam to the glass tank as it tries to attack the guests on boat, but with a little crack leaving a leak as the boat floats away.
"Now open at Universal Studios Hollywood."
And now we cut to where Anne and the Plantars are sitting on the couch watching TV along with their friends, Timon and Pumbaa. They stop by for a visit to her house since they all became friends as long as they keep the frogs secrets.
Sprig and Polly were amazed at the commercial, except for Hop Pop that he was not amused. Anne was shocked that the all new attraction is now open while she's been gone for five months. Timon and Pumbaa sitting on the floor eating popcorns.
"No way!" Sprig amazed.
"Are you kidding me? I've been gone for months just to come back and see this?!" Anne exclaimed.
"It's just a commercial, Anne. None of this real." said Hop Pop.
"Not all commercials are real." Pumbaa added.
"I wanted to ride it so bad." said Polly with her eyes sparkles.
"Hate to break it to you, kid, but it costs expensive to get the tickets." said Timon.
"He's right you know. Where ever we go, we don't want any attention from anyone like what happen yesterday." Hop Pop agrees.
"Well at least the Thai community are our friends." said Sprig.
Mrs. Boonchuy enters the living room to check on them with her husband.
"Anne, your father and I are going to work until dinner. I want you to be on your best behavior." said Mrs. Boonchuy.
"Will do, mom." replied Anne.
"And while you're at it, make sure you fed yourself for lunch." Mr. Boonchuy added.
"Sure thing, dad."
"Now you folks behave while your friends are babysitting you."
"I don't need a babysitter! I'm a big girl!" said Polly.
"You kids have fun, okay? Love you." said Mrs. Boonchuy.
"Bye mom. Bye dad." said Anne waving at her parents.
"Bye Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy." said Sprig.
Once her parents left for work, they turn their eyes back on the TV when their show was on.
"And now, we return to Camp Jurassic, the all new television series!"
Then they were listening to some teenagers running through the forest when being chased by a dinosaur roaring. Polly chuckled for that part.
"Teenagers. No offense Anne." said Polly.
"None taken." said Anne.
"Tell me? Why do dinosaurs still exists? I mean they're already extinct." Hop Pop asked.
"Well, if you ask me? Most people wanted to recreate the dinosaurs that only works in the movie." Pumbaa answered.
"We've all seen five movies and it doesn't make any sense."
"Cheer up Hop Pop. I'm pretty sure you enjoy some movies that I showed you." said Anne.
Suddenly, they heard a door open. Anne and the Plantars turned their heads at their friends surprisingly when Phineas and Ferb have entered the room. Timon and Pumbaa already knew about this.
"Hey guys."
"Phineas? Ferb? What you doing here?" said Anne surprised.
"Ferb and I built a portal that connects to a door that travels to any places. We thought we can stop by for a visit." replied Phineas.
"Aren't you a little young to build a portal that connects to a door?" Hop Pop asked.
"Yes, yes I am." Phineas answered. "What are you guys up to?"
"We're watching TV where dinosaurs are chasing kids." Polly answered.
"Oh yeah, that reminds me. Ferb and I went back in time to see the dinosaurs."
"Wait. Are you serious?" Anne stunned.
"For real?!" Sprig asked.
"That's right. We first time traveled to the Cretaceous Period by accident along with Candace, and then we time travel again with our friends when we visit to the Jurassic Period." replied Phineas.
"Wow! Tell me everything!" said Sprig with huge pupil eyes with sparkles.
"Now hold on a minute. How is it possible that you time travel to the past?" Hop Pop asked.
"We have good skills." Phineas answered.
"Don't you think that's a little too dangerous for you?"
"Oy, now you started to sound like their older sister." Timon commented.
"Okay, how about a bet." said Anne when she stands up.
"What's the catch, Anne?" Hop Pop asked when raising his left eye brows.
"I'll make you a deal. Why don't I take you to go back in time and prove that dinosaurs are real." replied Anne.
"Very well, if the time machine didn't work, then I'm always right." said Hop Pop got off the couch.
"Deal."
Both Anne and Hop Pop are shaking their hands. Then Anne turns her head at Phineas.
"So is it alright that you can take us?"
"Sure." Then he turn his head at his brother. "Ferb, I know what we're gonna do today."
"Awesome!" said Anne.
"Alright!" said Sprig happily.
"WOO!" Polly cheered.
"I don't think this is a good idea." said Pumbaa concerned.
"Hakuna Matata, Pumbaa. No worries. If they go, we go too." said Timon.
"Then what are we waiting for? Let's go!" Sprig jumps off the couch.
"So where is this time machine that you traveled?" Hop Pop asked.
"It's easy. You guys are going to love this when we show you, but it's not from here, but to the other side of each door." said Phineas.
They walk towards the closet door as they went through. Anne and the Plantars were amazed when they go through the closet when they have enter the other side of the door and close the door behind them.
"Whoa!" Sprig amazed.
"No way!" Anne stunned.
"Welcome to our home!" Phineas announced. "We live here when we do all summer long in our backyard."
Phineas and Ferb show their friends around the living room and the kitchen and then they showed them their backyard where the tree is.
"Nice place you got here." said Pumbaa.
"Thanks." Phineas thanked him.
Suddenly, Isabella entered the backyard smiling.
"Hi, Phineas." Isabella greeted. "Whatcha doin?"
"We're taking Anne and her friends to go back in time to the Cretaceous Period." replied Phineas.
"Cool." Then Isabella looked at Anne. "Hi, Anne."
"Hey girlfriend. What's up?" Anne greeted.
"Nothing much. How's your first visit?"
"It looks kinda cool."
"So, where's the time machine?" Sprig asked.
"It's at the museum, but it's too far away from here." replied Phineas.
"Where are your parents?"
"They're at the antique store."
"Well, that's too bad." said Hop Pop smirk. "It looks like I win."
"Not quite, but we have something that you might like." said Phineas.
They walked over to the small shed-like building as Phineas announced as Ferb and Isabella stand by the door.
"Ladies and gentlemen, allow me to unveil our Secret Hideout for Emergency Defects. Or S.H.E.D. for short."
"So how are we are gonna fit in?" Anne asked.
"Yeah, it looks too small." Polly agrees.
"Wait'll you see the inside!" said Phineas as he opens the door.
Once they go inside, it is revealed to be way bigger on the inside with all of gadgets and techs including their vehicles. Anne and her friends were amazed at this scene. Sprig was all amazed for all the things they make.
"Whoa!" said Anne and her friends.
"So, what do you guys think?" Phineas asked.
"I don't believe it! It's like we're in a British sci-fi show!" Anne answered excited.
"Wow! That's huge!" Pumbaa commented.
"(whistle) Pretty." said Timon.
"Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh!" Sprig exclaimed. "So many buttons!"
"Careful now, we don't want to mess with this." said Hop Pop reminding him.
"SO! MANY! TEXTURES!" said Sprig gleefully.
"Calm down, Sprig. I know that you're excited, but take it easy. We still got time to catch up." said Anne.
"Speaking of time, allow me to present you our very own Time Rover!" Phineas announced.
Ferb unveils the vehicle that resembles to car, but with colors with white and yellow, four wheels, and a power resources in the back. It has three rows in each seats. Anne and her friends were impressed.
"Wow! Look, Timon! It's that vehicle from the one of the attraction from Animal Kingdom." Pumbaa noticed.
"Hey, you're right! Where'd you get this?" said Timon.
"Ferb and I ask their permission if we could build one of our own so that way it might be easier to do it at home." replied Phineas.
"Does your parents know about this?" asked Hop Pop.
"Not at the moment. No."
Suddenly, Candace enters the shed walk towards her brother.
"Phineas and Ferb, you better tell me what you've been up to." said Candace, but noticed when their friends has arrived. "Hey, what are you all doing here?"
"We're going back in time to see dinosaurs." Polly answered.
"What?!" Candace shocked. "Oh no! No way! I am not going back to the past."
"Why not?"
"Oh, that's right since you three just got here." said Phineas.
"What are you talking about?" Sprig asked confused.
"I think I know the reasons." said Anne when she recalls.
"Last time, Ferb and I were fixing the time machine from the museum and by the time we fixed it, it took us back in time to the Cretaceous Period along with Candace." Phineas explained.
"Was it that bad?" Sprig asked.
"Oh, you better believe it. The last thing I remember is when we almost got eaten by T. Rex!" said Candace remembering her last encounter.
"Cool!" said Polly.
"Not cool! He destroy our tickets to get back home until Isabella and the Fireside Girls came back with the new repaired time machine and we went back to our own time, but then we brought back a T. Rex!" Candace exclaimed.
"Whoa! Did he ever attack the city?" Sprig curious.
"No, he was frozen." Candace answered lowering her voice.
"How?"
"I don't know? Must've been zapped by a laser beam or something." Candace shrugged.
"Well, in any case, who's ready for time travel?" said Phineas.
"YEAH!"
"Oh, for crying out loud." said Candace in defeat.
Phineas and Ferb got into front row, Anne and the Plantars sitting in the middle row, and Candace, Isabella, Timon, and Pumbaa are in the back row as they strapped in by wearing their seatbelts.
"Seatbelts? Check." said Phineas.
Ferb turn on the ignition as the power turns on. It shows a wheel and a computer pad with any numbers for day, month, and a year. Ferb is typing on the keyboards with each numbers and it says 'Cretaceous Period'.
"For your safety, please keep your hands, arms, feet, and legs inside the vehicles at all times and please watch your kids." Phineas reminded them. "Oh, and also no flash photography when you disturbing. Thank you.
"I've got a good feeling about this." said Anne excited.
"I know!" replied Sprig.
"Uh, is it too late to turn back?" Hop Pop nervous.
"Too late! There's no turning back now!" said Polly.
The doors close in both sides of the Time Rover. Ferb activates as they are about to go back in time with a flash. Then all of sudden, they vanish. And now, they have arrived in a place full of prehistoric jungle. They move their head around curious.
"Whoa! Where are we?" Sprig asked.
"We're in the Cretaceous Period." Phineas answered. "Now, let's go find some dinosaurs. Computer, what do you got?"
"Styracosaurus."
They look left where it shows a Styracosaurus was scratching his body against the tree like how bears scratch. Anne and the Plantars were shock and amazed. They have never seen a life dinosaurs before.
"No way!" Sprig amazed.
"I don't believe it! We're actually here!" said Anne shocked.
"What is that?" Hop Pop asked.
"That's a Styracosaurus, one of the ceratopsian family and a herbivore that was found in North America." Pumbaa explained.
"Wow, I didn't know you were studying about dinosaurs." said Isabella impressed.
"That's because I'm the smartest warthog there is like all pigs."
"It's true, because he's a pig." said Timon whispering to Isabella.
Anne pulls out here phone and quickly take a pictures at it. Then Ferb started to drive as they drove away leaving the Styracosaurus alone in peace. They were strolling through the jungle in their own path.
"So where are we going? Are there anymore?" Polly asked.
"We've already picked up each signatures where it shows some each colors. For example, red is for carnivore and green is for herbivore." Phineas explained.
"That's a good news." said Hop Pop. " And also, how are you even driving a car?"
"Actually, I set up an automatic drive." replied Ferb.
"Oh, gotcha."
"Velociraptor."
"Velociraptor?! Where?!" Candace frantic as the Time Rover halted. They looked left where it shows four packs of Velociraptors, but a smaller size. The raptors looked up curious. Timon started to laugh. Candace looked at him sternly.
"What's so funny?" said Candace sternly.
"You scared of that raptor?!" Timon laughed. "C'mon, that's not the raptor I know. The only raptor I know that are huge, but it only appears in the movies."
"Don't underestimate them, Timon." said Pumbaa. "Besides, raptors are pack hunters like wolves."
"Cool!" Anne took a picture of the raptors and then the Time Rover drove off leaving the raptors alone.
Then suddenly, they heard a twig sound. One of the raptor which is the alpha squawk with the alarm and fled. By the time the last raptor fled the scene, a huge carnivore slowly emerged from the forest growling searching for food.
Later on, they have arrived at the great valley where it shows all of the herbivores are roam freely. Anne and her friends were amazed at this place while she took a picture.
"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the nesting ground!" Phineas announced.
"Ooohhhh!" They all said together except Ferb.
"Whoa, Nelly!" said Hop Pop reacting. "They do exists."
"Brachiosaurus."
The largest sauropod, Brachiosaurus are drinking the water while others are eating some plants from the water.
"Iguanodon."
The herd of Iguanodon are grazing the grass while the alpha keeps an eye on the intruders. Most female Iguanodon are nesting for their eggs waiting for their babies to hatch.
"Parasaurolophus."
The herd of Parasaurolophus are drinking as well while others were swimming around the lake. The females are looking after the younglings.
"Pachyrhinosaurus."
A group of Pachyrhinosaurus are drinking waters too. Even a baby Pachyrhinosaurus is playing with the water.
"Struthiomimus."
A flock of Struthiomimus are running through an area like flock of birds since they are related to ostrich.
"Pteranodon."
Six Pteranodons are flying over to the valley and flew passed Anne and her friends. She has taken lot of pictures of dinosaurs. Hop Pop was shocked that dinosaurs are real. Sprig was astonishing at the valley. Polly gasp when she looked up to the sky where Pteranodons are flying.
"That. Was. AWESOME!" Sprig shouted gleefully. "You gotta tell me all about this!"
"Alright, but first, we need to park the Time Rover so we can spread out and do whatever you guys want." said Phineas.
The Time Rover automatically parked by the open grass and then Ferb turns off the engine. They all got out and look at the beautiful scene. Anne couldn't believe that all of this is real.
"Well gang, let's split up and take a look around. We only have few minutes when it's time to go." said Phineas.
"You got it." said Isabella.
"Stygimoloch."
They heard a commotion where it shows two Stygimoloch were fighting by headbutt at each others head. Polly was smiling for that part.
"Yes! Headbutting dinosaurs!" said Polly.
"You're correct. Stygimoloch is one of the pachycephalosaur family and look extremly dangerous. They were fighting for dominance or fighting over a female." Pumbaa explained.
"Awesome!"
"Hey, let's check it out over there. There were eggs nearby." said Isabella pointing her finger.
"Hey, I wanna some eggs too." said Sprig.
"Wait up!" said Polly.
Isabella ran off to see the nests followed by Sprig and Polly.
"Don't go too far, kids! You don't even know what it is!" Hop Pop hollered.
"It's okay, Hop Pop. I'm sure they'll be just fine." said Anne.
"I wonder where some bugs are." Pumbaa wondered.
"Me too. I bet there could be plenty of bugs around here." said Timon.
Suddenly, a prehistoric dragonfly flew by, but Hop Pop spits his tongues out grabbed the dragonfly as he ate it and swallows it. Candace cringed feeling uncomfortable.
"Okay, that's really gross." said Candace.
"What's the matter? Frogs got your tongue?" Anne teased.
"Ew! No way! I'm gonna sit this one out." said Candace when head back to the Time Rover.
"Suit yourself."
"C'mon, let's take a closer look." Phineas suggested.
Anne and Phineas ran over to the lake where herbivore dinosaurs are drinking. Suddenly, another dragonfly flew by Timon and Pumbaa. They took a glance and smiled.
"Wanna get something to eat?" Timon asked.
"You bet!" replied Pumbaa
They ran off to chase after the dragonfly. All that's left is Ferb and Hop Pop looked at each other.
"So, what should we do then?" Hop Pop asked.
Ferb shrugged.
"Don't talk too much. Huh? That explains a lot. Do you have any books I can read so that I can see what kind of dinosaurs are?"
Ferb pulls out a dinosaur documentary and hands over to Hop Pop.
"Oh, why thanks. Now let's take look around and see what we can find."
Both Hop Pop and Ferb walked away from the Time Rover. All that's left was Candace sitting at the Time Rover alone when she was bored.
"Great, that makes me in charge while everyone's gone. Just as long as there isn't T. Rex around." said Candace sarcastically.
"Microceratus"
Candace looked around and see any sign of this dinosaur, but all of sudden, there small group of Microceratus running by the Time Rover. Candace smiled softly thinking it's cute.
"Aw, aren't you a little adorable." Candace cooed at them.
Then she took a picture from her phone and realized that it hit her. She started to think about her encounter. Candace looked at her phone and then smirk.
"Maybe if I showed it mom by the time we got back and then I'll bust my brothers for sure." Candace paused for moment when she realized it. "Wait a minute! I give up busting!"
Cut to Isabella, Sprig, and Polly as they walk closer to where all female Iguanodons nesting. Isabella knew what mother does by staying behind watching over the eggs. Sprig curiously looked at the eggs.
"What is that?" said Sprig curious.
"Those are Iguanodon, a herbivore that was found all over the globe from Europe, Africa, and North America.
"Wow!" Polly impressed.
"I know, right. Plus I have earn a paleontologist patch."
"Hey, we met Dr. Jan who's in charge at the museum." said Sprig as he remembers.
"Oh, when did you meet her?" Isabella asked
"From the other day. It's a long story." replied Polly.
"Gotcha."
"Are those eggs?" Sprig asked pointing at the eggs.
"Yep, it's where babies hatch." Isabella answered.
"Is it safe?" Polly asked making sure.
"Of course, as long as the mother was their to protect the nest from the egg thief." replied Isabella.
"Egg thief?"
"Yep. As long as there are no sign of the egg thief."
"Wow. It's like back in Amphibia. I can't wait to tell Ivy about this." said Sprig.
"Who's Ivy?" Isabella asked.
"She's Sprig's girlfriend." Polly answered.
"Polly! We're just friends!" Sprig snapped.
"Aw, you two are so cute." Isabella cooed. "Did she kiss you?"
"I don't know? Maybe?" said Sprig nervously when he's blushing.
"Shh! Look!" Polly hush them when whispered.
The mother Iguanodon was gently pushing the egg back a little. She waited patiently for her eggs to be hatch. Isabella, Sprig, and Polly went awe with eyes sparkles knowing that it's so cute while she took a picture from her phone.
Suddenly, a baby Parasaurolophus curiously approached when he walk closer to the nest, but the mother Iguanodon harshly snort at the baby as he ran off. They looked at the baby Parasaurolophus ran away from the nest.
"What was that all about?" Sprig asked.
"That's a baby Parasaurolophus, one of the sauropod family and duckbilled dinosaur from the Cretaceous Period." Isabella answered.
"Like Donald Duck?" Polly guessed.
"Exactly."
The baby Parasaurolophus wanders off to the lake as he starts chasing some prehistoric birds running pass by some brachiosaurs and parasaurs where Anne and Phineas are standing. They both take picture on their phones as they fascinated between both Brachiosaurus and Parasaurolophus.
"Wow! Look at the size of that thing! I thought it only appeared in the Jurassic Period?" said Anne.
"That's because they're the last of the kind. They might've survived for many years." repied Phineas.
One of the Brachiosaurus lowered its neck when taking a drink right next to Anne and Phineas. She was surprised when a brachiosaur head was closest to her. She raised her hand slowly when trying to touch the head. Once she touches it, she felt something like scales.
Anne gently rubbing the Brachiosaurus head while taking a drink. Until she let go of the head as the brachiosaur lift itself raising a long neck. Phineas already took a picture from his phone. He looked at the photo of Anne touching a brachiosaur head. Phineas smiled.
"Wow. I never seen a dinosaur this close before." said Anne astonished. "I wish Marcy was here to see this. She loves to studying about dinosaurs."
"Yeah, maybe we can show this to her when we got back."
"Yeah." said Anne softly.
She looked at her photo where she took a picture of baby Parasaurolophus chasing some birds. Whenever she mentioned about Marcy, she change her expressions from happy to sad. Anne sighed when sat down on the ground. Phineas noticed her look. He was curious about her emotion and then decided to ask her.
"Are you okay?" Phineas asked.
"Oh, yeah. I'm fine." Anne answered.
"Are you sure? You don't look happy for a moment."
Anne doesn't want to talk about it, but Phineas is one of her new friend. She trusted him and he trusted her. She looked at Phineas softly.
"Can I be honest with you?" Anne asked.
"Sure." Phineas politely granted.
"Okay, it all started when Marcy and I met when we were kindergarten. We became friends and played together. And then Sasha came along. As the years passed when my friends and I were vanished to Amphibia, we were separate. It took me months to find them until I first reunited with Sasha, but it didn't turned out so well."
"What happen?"
"We got into a fight. I really don't want to talk about it. But I'm gonna skip to the part where me and the Plantars are heading straight to Newtopia so that the king would send us home. Once we reached at the gate, Marcy was there. I was so happy that I get see her again. I'm gonna have to skip ahead again because it's a really long story."
"I don't mind. What happens next?" Phineas asked
"What happens now when all this happens. Marcy and Sasha were left behind and I'm the only one who made it out along with the Plantars. I just wish there has to be a way to get back to Amphibia."
"Gosh. I'm really sorry to hear this." Phineas apologize. "Marcy means a lot to you."
"Thanks Phineas. I appreciated."
"Hey, Anne? There's something that you should know of."
"Why's that?"
"Just like you, I used to have a friend of mine who was my pen pal. We were chatting a lot and talked about our experience. She admires all of my inventions while I admires her wits."
"Who?"
"Marcy."
Anne grew her eyes widely. She was stunned what Phineas answered.
"Wait? You're Marcy's pen pal?!"
"The one and only." replied Phineas.
"Oh my gosh! How can I miss that? It was you all this time!" exclaimed Anne smiling when standing up.
"Yeah, we knew you and your friends from the beginning before we met you."
"That is cool! Can't wait to tell our friends about this."
"C'mon! Let's regroup and head back."
Both Phineas and Anne ran off from the lake leaving brachiosaur in peace. Cut to Ferb and Hop Pop, they're getting close to Pachyrhinosaurus when grazing the grass. Hop Pop was all stunned when getting too close.
"Sweet mother of frog. It's so huge! How can they live like this?" exclaimed Hop Pop looking through the book when flipping pages.
"That's Pachyrhinosaurus, right?" Hop Pop asked.
"Yes, Pachyrhinosaurus is one of the ceratopsian family like Styracosaurus." replied Ferb.
"You speak British?"
"Yes, yes I am."
"Wow. I never thought about this much."
Then Hop Pop looked at the two Pachyrhinosaurus charged their heads at each other. Hop Pop has never seen such dinosaurs fighting like this before. He looked at the page carefully until he realized what this means.
"I get it now. Those two were fighting to impress the female. And not only that, that must be the alpha." said Hop Pop pointing at one of the pachyrhinosaur that turns out to be the alpha. He hold his ground against his rival until he outmatched his rival.
"If the alpha wins, he's still in charge. But if he loose, the alpha would be kicked out and have his rival as the new leader. Is that it?"
Ferb gives him a thumbs up.
"So that's a yes. C'mon Ferb, wait 'til we tell the kids about this."
Cut to the dragonfly landed on the log where Pumbaa raised his head very closely as he smirked. The dragonfly flew away from Pumbaa while Timon starts to chase it. He tries to catch it by jumped up high, but he's too short.
As the dragonfly landed on the log again. Timon walk closely as he stick his tongue out greedily, but what he didn't know when the flying lizard was there the whole time. Then all of sudden, the lizard spits its tongue out and ate the dragonfly. Timon was shocked.
He couldn't believe that his snack was stolen by the lizard. Once the lizard flews away, he started to mad and chased after the flying lizard.
"HEY! GET BACK HERE, YOU FLYING LIZARD!" Timon yells.
He chased the flying lizard to the forest. Pumbaa shook his head gently and went to catch up with his best friend following him to the forest. It won't be long when he ran deep into the forest. The flying lizard has landed on the tree log once again.
Timon stops running as he walk closer just to give the lizard a piece of his mind, but the flying lizard flew away up high to the tree. He felt that his luck has ran out.
"Dang it!"
"Timon, what are you doing?" Pumbaa asked approaching him.
"What does it look like I'm doing? He stole my lunch!" replied Timon.
"Well, it's for a good reason."
"What do you mean?" Timon asked.
"You do realize that it's part of its nature, but you cannot blame any animals that are insectivores." replied Pumbaa.
"And why's that?"
"Remember what Simba says, it's the circle of life."
"Yes, I know that, but how am I supposed to eat?"
"We'll have to find somewhere else. Maybe we should head back to our friends." Pumbaa suggested.
"What are you afraid of? Getting eaten by a carnivorous dinosaur?" Timon rhetorically asked.
Suddenly, a drop just landed. They looked down at the spot where it comes from. They looked closer and see what it is, but when it turns out that it was some sort of spit. They give a glanced raised their eyebrows slowly.
"We're not alone. Are we?" Timon asked quietly.
But then, they heard a low growl, they looked up slowly to see where the growl comes from. Then a huge head moves slowly as it growls closely raising its jaws filled saliva.
Back to Candace sitting in the Time Rover, she was playing with her phone where it shows Ducky Momo as emoji game. Then suddenly, she heard her brothers calling her name.
"Candace!"
Candace looked at Phineas and Anne running towards the Time Rover smiling. Candace curiously staring at them once they approached.
"Phineas? What's up?" Candace asked.
"You're not gonna believe what I said to Anne." replied Phineas.
"Really?" Candace raised her small lines of eyebrows.
"Yeah, but we have to wait until the rest of our friends comes back." said Phineas.
"Anne!"
They looked at Hop Pop and Ferb running towards them. Anne guess that Hop Pop is calling once they approached. She was surprised that Hop Pop was smiling.
"Anne! You're not gonna believe this!"
"What is it, Hop Pop?" Anne asked.
"You were right. Dinosaurs are real! Ferb gave me this book when I looked up on any dinosaurs. There were two Pachyrhinosaurus fighting because one of them is the alpha while the other one is his rival. It's all true!" said Hop Pop.
"Wow! That so cool! I told you that I was right." said Anne.
"Guess I owe you apology, huh?"
"It's okay, we're cool."
Finally, when Isabella, Sprig, and Polly has arrived just in time to see them. Sprig hopped on front of the Time Rover smiling.
"Guys, guess what? There's something that you might missed!" said Sprig.
"What is it, buddy?"
"We went to the nest where Iguanodons are watching over the eggs. It was so cute!" said Isabella.
"Aw, I missed it." said Anne.
"It's okay, I've already take a pictures for you."
"Thanks Isabella."
"Now, is everyone ready?" Phineas asked.
"Wait, where's Timon and Pumbaa?" said Sprig noticing that they're missing.
Suddenly, they heard some screams. They looked a head from the forest. Timon and Pumbaa burst out from the trees as they ran very fast screaming.
"RUN! RUN! RUN FOR YOUR LIFE!" Timon shouted.
"HE'S GONNA EAT US!" Pumbaa shouted.
Both Iguanodons and Parasaurolophus looked up seeing them running. Both Pachyrhinosaurus and Brachiosaurus stop drinking and looked at them.
"Well, we found them." said Polly.
"What are they running from?" Sprig asked.
"Wait, something's wrong here." said Anne when she started to realize something is not right.
Timon and Pumbaa keeps running as fast as they can, but then something that just moved when the trees are shaking.
"RUN!" Timon shouted.
Suddenly, a huge carnivore with two horns on its head emerged from the forest roaring running toward its prey. Anne and her friends were shocked.
"OH CRUD!" exclaimed Anne.
A carnivore keeps running and looks down at Timon and Pumbaa that keeps running away screaming. Instead, a carnivore went up ahead focusing on his meal rather eating them. Once we see each foot stomping, Timon and Pumbaa quickly got out of the way just in time and ran off into different direction.
The herd of dinosaurs starts running away panickily, except the mother Iguanodon tries to protect the eggs by covering some dirt on it. The carnivore roars as he getting closer. The mother Iguanodon was so desperately keeping her eggs safe, but it was too late. She has no choice, but to abandoned her nest and ran off. The carnivore runs closer and then his foot crush the nests, except one egg that survived.
The huge carnivore roars once he reached to the Pachyrhinosaurus that's falling behind. By the he reaches his prey, he grab a bite and lift the small pachyrhinosaur and tossed him to the ground with dust everywhere.
Anne and her friends covered their eyes to avoid seeing some violence. Once it dies down, they uncovered their eyes and see that a huge predator has already kills the pachyrhinosaur. he raised his head and roars triumph.
They couldn't just believe that they have witnessed the hunt. Predator and prey. Anne took out her phone and took a picture of the carnivore while her friends were shocked and horrified when watching the carnivore starts eating.
Timon and Pumbaa finally arrives taking their deep breathe as they approached them, but their friends weren't looking at them.
"Thanks for waiting." Timon panted.
"What in the frog was that?!" Hop Pop frantic.
"Carnotaurus."
"Carno-what?" Sprig asked when he hears the computer.
"Carnotaurus, a meat-eating bull that was found in South America." Anne explained. "I remember watching this movie when I was a kid."
"But that's impossible! There's no way that he should be here! We're in North America!" Candace exclaimed.
"I don't think we're in North America." said Pumbaa.
"What do you mean?" Candace asked.
"He's right. I think this must be the story where it took place from the past." said Phineas.
"Wait, are we in the movie?" Sprig confused.
"No. We need to back to the future and get the heck out of here." said Anne.
"I agree with you, Anne." Hop Pop agrees. "We don't want to get eaten just like that alligator or a heron."
"Alligator?" Timon asked.
"Heron?" Pumbaa asked as well.
"Long story. We'll tell you later." replied Anne.
"Uh, guys?" Polly pointed her stubby hand.
They looked back where Polly was pointing which it turns out that there's another Carnotaurus that was a normal size walked out from the forest. He was sniffing at the scent and turn his head at them.
Anne shrunken her eyes horrified when realize that another one was looking at her and her friends.
"Guys. Get in the car."
They took a glance at Anne and quickly got in to their vehicle. Anne, Sprig, Polly, and Hop Pop got into the front row, then Phineas, Ferb, and Isabella got into the second row, and finally Timon and Pumbaa got into the third row sitting next to Candace.
The normal size Carnotaurus noticed that they moved and walk fast closer to them growling. Anne tries to figured it out how to turn on the engine until she pushes the button when it's turned on.
"Alright. I can do this. I can do this." said Anne talking to herself.
"Hurry up. The Carnotaurus is getting closer!" Timon frantic, but lowered his voice.
"I'm getting there."
Candace noticed that Anne is in the front row while her brothers are in the second row.
"Wait a minute? Who's driving?!" Candace asked frantic.
"The auto pilot was turned on." replied Phineas.
"Yeah, but is Anne too young to drive?!"
"Hey! Anne's been driving a snail like a dozen time." said Polly.
"Guys?" Isabella worries when raising her voice" "It's getting closer!"
They looked back at the Carnotaurus when he's getting closer growling. Anne can't stand this. She may be too young to drive, but she barely once driving a food truck. She cannot let the carnotaur eating her friends alive.
"Four wheeled drive! Move it!" Anne turned off the autopilot.
She hit the gas and start driving just in time before the smaller Carnotaurus reaches them. A huge carnotaur stops eating and noticed that they're driving away from the smaller one and went focusing on them instead as he gives a chase.
Once both carnotaurs left the area, there's only one egg that still survive until an egg thief therapod arrives and snatched it as it fled off. (Relax, the egg still survive when it took place in the movie.)
Cut to Anne's driving the Time Rover, she and her friends could hear some stompings towards them.
"Must go faster." said Timon.
Both carnotaurs were roaring at them. Everyone starts to panic except Ferb who was calm while Anne was driving through the jungle. She looked at the mirror where it shows a smaller Carnotaurus roaring as he getting closer. Timon, Pumbaa, The Plantars, and the kids looked back screaming except for Anne and Ferb.
"Hold on!" Anne yells.
She swirled the wheel as they go left ditching the carnotaurs, but still chasing them when falling behind. Anne is doing her best to keep themselves away from the carnotaurs as she swirls in different directions.
"Right! Left! Right! Left!"
And finally, they made it out from the trees and went on to their path. They sighed in relief.
"That was close." sighed Phineas.
Then suddenly, they heard an alarm sounds beeping.
"Computer, what now?!" Candace annoyed.
"Carnotaurus."
They were confused at first, but then a huge Carnotaurus burst out blocking their path growling. Anne yelps hit the breaks as the Time Rover halted. Carnotaurus roars at them while Anne and her friends screaming at him.
Anne switch the pedal and start to reverse faster while a huge Carnotaurus starts to chase them. Anne looked back to make sure nothing hits them, but unfortunately a smaller Carnotaurus blocked their path. Anne hit the breaks as they halt.
The carnotaurs is walking towards them slowly. Anne and her friends horrified. Timon and Pumbaa held on each others arms while Phineas and Isabella held each others arms. Anne felt her heart is pumping fast. She has never seen Carnotaurus up close before. The meat-eating bulls growls at them.
"Anne, I take it all back! Those dinosaur are very scary!" Sprig frantic.
"I'm too young to get eaten!" Polly yells.
"WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!" Hop Pop shouted.
"Not on my watch!" said Anne.
She starts typing the keyboards showing the year numbers says 2019. She smirks when the Time Rover began to glow knowing that they are going back. But then they some roars. They looked back and saw carnotaurus are walking up slowly to them.
"Anne! They're getting closer!" Sprig frantic.
"Brace yourself! This is it!" said Anne.
The Time Rover glows fast as it began to sparks. The carnotaurs was about to reach to them growling. Candace held onto Timon and Pumbaa screaming.
"WE'RE NOT GONNA MAKE IT! WE'RE NOT GONNA MAKE IT!" Polly screams.
All of sudden, there was a flash. They close their eyes when it's too bright and when it's all too quiet. They slowly open their eyes and see the area that was from the inside of the shed. They raised their eyebrows shockingly. They took a glance at each other.
And then Anne started to laugh. Then Sprig joins the laugh. And so were their friends. They all got out from the Time Rover as they all high five cheering to each other, except Candace who was stunned. Isabella is hugging Phineas while laughing.
"WE MADE IT! WE MADE IT!" Polly hops gleefully.
"Home sweet home!" Hop Pop cheered.
"We're alive!" Sprig cheered hugging Anne.
"Hakuna Matata!" Pumbaa cheered while Timon give him noogie.
Ann and her friends were calming down after their celebration. She couldn't believe that they have made it out just in time before they get eaten alive by Carnotaurus.
"I can't believe I did this!" Anne exclaimed.
"No! We did it!" Sprig corrected Anne.
"Dude, I got us out just in time! I even drive a car!"
"That was awesome!" Phineas cheered.
"You saved our lives!" said Pumbaa.
"And we are eternally grateful." said Timon.
"Thanks guys. It's the least I can do is to get us home." said Anne thanking them.
"Hey! Who wants to do selfie?" Sprig asked.
"We do!" They all said together except Ferb and Candace.
Anne pulls out her phone and hold on to her phone taking selfie so that she could see herself and her friends.
"Okay guys, say cheese!"
"Cheese!"
Anne took a shot and looked at the photo of her with the Plantars, Phineas, Ferb, Isabella, Timon, and Pumbaa doing their own pose. Anne smiled at her phone.
"It's perfect." said Anne softly
"Oh boy! Our first selfie with our friends!" said Pumbaa happily.
"Yeah, I look good. Didn't I?" Timon agrees.
"Wait, I don't see Candace with us." said Sprig notice this.
"Maybe you're right." Anne looked at Candace who was shaking when she got out from the Time Rover. Anne walk closed to her. "Hey, you okay.?"
"Okay? Okay?! How is this okay when I almost got eaten by a dinosaur?!" Candace snapped.
"Whoa! Take it easy, dude! We didn't know what just happen back there."
"Yeah, don't forget that Anne just saved us." said Polly sternly. "You should be thanking her."
"How should I be thanking her after all we've been through?! Ugh! This is the last time that I ended up time travel with you! I'm leaving!" said Candace stomping her way out to the exit.
"Candace, wait!" Anne called.
"Let it go, Anne. I know what it's like to get frustrated as much as you do back in Amphibia. Give her some time to cool off." Hop Pop suggested.
"Yeah, maybe your right. Sorry that I dragged you into this. I just wanted to prove you that dinosaurs are real." Anne apologize.
"No, I'm the one who should be sorry. What I didn't realize that these dinosaurs are real. If it weren't for you, I would never be amazed how much these magnificent animals are." said Hop Pop softly.
"Like the old man says, life cannot be contained. Life breaks free. Life... finds a way." said Ferb.
"Wow. I don't know what to say, but... thank you."
Anne kneeled to Hop Pop and hugged him. Her friends were smiling at the moment. Timon sighed softly. Sprig notice this.
"Hey, you okay?" Sprig asked.
"Yeah, didn't even eat a dragonfly while you guys are enjoying sightseeing." replied Timon.
"That's okay. I brought some with me in case you guys are hungry." Sprig pulls out some bugs he picked up from the Cretaceous Period.
"You brought back some bugs?!" Timon shocked.
"Well, since you offered me some grubs and I wanted to return the favor." said Sprig took one bug and eat it.
Timon gently took full of bugs from Sprig and smiled softly. Pumbaa approach his best friend sniffing at some bugs.
"Love bugs." said Pumbaa.
"Not like, love." said Timon
They both shared some bugs and eats it at the same time. Anne smiled at Sprig when she saw everything.
"Wow, Sprig. That's very sweet of you." said Anne.
"Thanks, Anne. That's what friends are for."
"Oh! That reminds me. There's something that you should know about."
"Why's that?"
"I'll tell you what. Did I ever tell you that Marcy has a pen pal?"
"You didn't told me about it, but why?" Sprig curious.
"Well, it turns out that Phineas is Marcy's pen pals." Anne answered.
"Really?!" Sprig asked.
"For real?" Polly added.
"Yep. He told me everything about her."
"It's true. Marcy and I were once pen pals for over years. Since you told me about what happened, why don't I help you get your friends back." said Phineas
"(gasp softly) Really? Can you do that?" Anne asked softly.
"Of course. Any friend of yours is a friend of ours." replied Phineas.
Anne launched into Phineas when she hugged him. Phineas hugged her back.
"Thank you so much! you won't be regretting this." Anne thanked him.
"You're welcome." replied Phineas.
"Say uh, what time is it?" Hop Pop asked.
"It's almost one in the afternoon." Isabella answered. "Wanna get something to eat?"
"Sure! That would be nice." said Sprig.
"Oh boy, I'm starve!" said Pumbaa
"So, who wants lunch?" said Timon.
"Pizza! Pizza! Pizza!" Anne and the Plantars chanted.
"Alright, pizza it is." said Phineas as he agrees.
They all exit through the door when they got out from the shed and walk towards the house. Anne looked at Phineas when walking.
"Hey, thanks for helping us out." Anne thanked him again.
"No problem. We'll get your friends back once we figured out how to build a portal to Amphibia. For now, we should head back to your house." replied Phineas.
"I agree. Let's order something before my parents comes home for dinner."
While Anne and her friends went inside the house, Timon and Pumbaa gives a glance.
"Hey, Timon?" Pumbaa asked.
"Yes, Pumbaa." replied Timon.
"Do you think if the dinosaurs still exists where most people recreate for their own theme park when it opens like from the movie?"
It was silence for only three seconds until they spoke.
"Nah!"
They both said it together and when back inside the house to go through the closet door that leads them back to the Anne's house.
Meanwhile somewhere in the mountain far from Los Angeles, it was very quiet, but with a little bird chirping and some noises from distance at the city. But then, something approached that turns out to be a Velociraptor, but a bigger one with blue lines on her skin. She looked at the city far away from the distance. She picked up a scent a snarl softly and wanders off to the forest.
Shocking, isn't it? I thought it might be cool if I made Blue as cameo appearance- Oh! Excuse me. (phone answered) Hello?
"MR. SANCHEZ! WHAT DID I TOLD YOU ABOUT BORROWING WITHOUT MY PERMISSION?!"
Permission?! What the heck, man.
"You realzie that this story takes place in the Disney Universe, not feature some dinosaurs from Jurassic World"
Yeah, I know. I was just trying to make the same thing like between "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" and "Wreck-It Ralph". It's not a big deal.
"I'm warning you! If you used one more film about live action film, so help me I-"
You know what? If you got problem with that, you have to deal with AI friend. Chew on that! (phone hang up) Sorry about that, this guy gives me complains and I have no idea how he contact me. Anyway, please stay tune for the next chapter.
