Chapter 25: Mr. X
The next morning after the incident, Anne was tucked in her bed sleeping with her casual clothes since her parents brought her up to her room after she unleash her power to save her friends and family. She slowly opens her eyes and slowly lifts herself up. Anne rubs her eyes and only took notice that she was in her room.
"So, you're awake."
Anne looked down at Jiminy at her nightstand as the cricket standing there smiling.
"Jiminy? What just happened?" Anne asked.
"You were unconscious last night after you saved us by using your power." Jiminy answered.
"I did?"
"Don't you remember?"
She move her head as she thought that it was all just a dream, but she realize that it wasn't. Anne remembers what happened last night about the Cloak-Bot.
"I think I do." Anne answered. "Where is everyone?
"Downstairs in the kitchen. I was told to look after you until you woke up." replied Jiminy.
Anne smiled softly at Jiminy when she nodded. She got off from her bed and walk downstairs to check on her family while Jiminy hopped on Anne's right shoulder. Once she went downstairs to the kitchen, she looked at the Plantars, and her parents having their breakfast at the table. Anne relieved that her family is still here, but she didn't see her idols. They must've went back home after the battle.
"Morning." Anne greeted softly.
Her family turn their heads at Anne and smiled.
"Morning, sweetie." Mrs. Boonchuy greeted her daughter back.
"Morning, Anne." said Sprig.
"How'd you feel?" Mr. Boonchuy asked kindly.
"I felt dizzy. What just happen?" said Anne.
"After you save us by using your power to kick the robot right out in the sky and then BOOM! You were fainted." Sprig answered.
"Mickey told your parents about power last night after you fainted." Hop Pop added.
"He did?" Anne surprised softly.
"Yes, he told us everything. We were worried about you." replied Mrs. Boonchuy softly.
"Why didn't you tell us in the first place?" Mr. Boonchuy asked softly.
Anne recalled from the other night. She felt guilty for lying to her parents, but she did this to protect her friends and the people she cared about. She walked over to the table and sat down between Sprig and her mother. Jiminy hopped off Anne's shoulder to the table.
"(sigh) I didn't want you to be worried, but there's so much I need to tell you." said Anne softly.
"Don't you worry. Your secret is safe with us." said Mrs. Boonchuy putting her hand on her back comforting her daughter.
"What you did out there was amazing. How did you do that?" Mr. Boonchuy asked.
"It wasn't that easy. I think I might've connect to the stone from the music box. I don't know how I do it, but why?" said Anne.
"Maybe because when you get angry if something ever bad happen to us." Polly guessed.
"Like when I almost died, but Marcy saved me." Sprig added.
"Then you saved Mickey and his friends life." Hop Pop added.
"And now you saved us." Jiminy finish their sentence.
"We were worried because we love you." said Mrs. Boonchuy.
"From now on, we will be there with you whenever we're ready." said Mr. Boonchuy.
"Thanks guys. I really appreciated, but where's Mickey and his friends?" said Anne.
"They went home after you fainted. He told me to care of you." Mrs. Boonchuy answered.
Suddenly, they heard a doorbell.
"I'll go get it." said Anne as she got out from the table.
Anne walked out from the kitchen and went straight to the door. She opens the door which turns out that it was Dipper and Mabel wearing her pig sweater standing in front of her. Anne was surprised at first.
"Dipper? Mabel?" Anne surprised.
"Anne! You were on the news! You were chased by a killer robot!" said Mabel.
"Wait, what?"
"It's true. The whole town saw everything! The newspaper, the website, all of it! Then all of sudden there was a huge explosion right out from the sky!" said Dipper.
Anne widen her eyes realized that they totally forgot about the incident. She was worried if anyone finds out about including the authorities.
"Does anyone knows about this?" Anne asked with concerned.
"Well, not all of them." Dipper answered.
"The government?"
"Maybe? I don't know? It's hard to tell."
Anne looked back where the Plantars were peeked from the kitchen worrying. Anne look back at the twins.
"Where's your uncle?" Anne asked.
"Right here."
Anne looked at the older twins as they approach. Stan and Ford were concerned about Anne's secret. She knew that Ford wanted to help the Plantars since the heist at the museum.
"We want to know everything."
Later on after their breakfast, Anne has already pulls out the board where it has some evidence about the music box and Amphibia. Anne explained everything to the Pines family including Wendy and Pacifica sitting on the couch.
Anne's parents were concerned about their appearance, but Anne trusted them since she introduces the Pines to her family. Dipper is writing down on his own journal as he draws a sketch of the music box by using his pen.
"So, this Andrias is behind all of this?" Dipper asked.
"Yes, he sent the robot to attack me and my family. Maybe he's the reason he sends the robot is because I think I might have something to do with my power. I want to know why he tries to kill me." said Anne.
"That's because he's afraid that you are a threat to his conquest. Unlike any other villains that wants to rule the world." Ford guessed as he recalls about the past.
"He may be a wise guy, but he picked the wrong day for picking on a kid." Stan commented.
"Yeah, I know. Not only that he wants to take over our world, but all worlds." said Anne.
"Like the multiverse?" Mabel guessed.
"Yeah, like... wait, multiverse?"
"It's what most people calls it. I've been studying many universes in my life back in Gravity Falls. It seems that Amphibia is not the only world that you've been there." said Ford as he answered.
"Wait, there's more?" Sprig curious.
"Here on Earth that has many realms which also includes Amphibia." Dipper explained where it shows Los Angeles and then it shows Wartwood. "There was also Monster World, Wonderland, Zootopia, Toontown, a bunch of others that we don't need to mention."
While Dipper explained where it shows some pictures of respective franchise that includes Neverland, Sugar Rush, World of Cars, Spider-Verse, and the LEGO World. Back to Dipper explaining to Anne and her family.
"The music box that you mentioned that has the access to the portal that travels to another world like how you disappeared along with your friends. Great Uncle Ford and I have been searching for clues for over five months until you return along with the Plantars." Dipper finish his sentence.
"Huh. So that explains everything." said Anne as she thought.
"Are you saying that there are more worlds out there?" Jiminy asked.
"Yes, but what if there could be more universe like our universe? What would you say if our counterpart from another dimension still exist?" said Dipper as he pondering the questions.
"I don't know? Maybe if my counterpart as human while Anne is a frog. Wouldn't that be weird?" Sprig asked.
"Yeah, literally." replied Anne.
"Pardon me for asking, but how long have you been studying about the multiverse?" Hop Pop asked.
"For more than 30 years and I really don't want to talk about it after we've been through a lot." Ford answered as he afraid to tell them about that incident.
"No offense, but how do you know that we can trust you?" said Mr. Boonchuy with suspicion.
"We don't usually work with the government, but I wanted help these creatures like the frogs more than anything." replied Ford.
"We had some issues with those governments that's been our tail. Long story, you don't want to know." Stan added.
"How?" Sprig asked.
(Flashback starts)
It shows people of Gravity Falls are celebrating Dipper and Mabel's birthday when they're 13 in front of the Mystery Shack.
"Ever since that incident before their birthday, the people have witness that they're mythical beings presenting themselves in Gravity Falls as they coexist."
The creatures like gnomes, minotaur, unicorn, fawn, and the Multi-Bear are waving at the bus where Dipper and Mabel are returning home to California.
"But it wouldn't last long enough when the government came in."
Then it shows the boarding room at the headquarters where most men and women are in a meeting as this man showing the pictures of any anomalies including aliens and an apex titan.
"There are group of organization that's been found long ago studying with these anomalies like us and wanted to prove that they exist to find a way to coexist, but some others believe that these creatures are a threat to a mankind."
Later on when a man signed the registration of supernatural act at the president's office.
"The government decide that they made a registration act for any anomaly and supernatural like mutants, inhumans, mythical creatures, dinosaur outbreak."
It first shows city that belongs to the Inhumans, then it shows creatures of Gravity Falls that are in line at the city hall, then it shows a lone velociraptor with blue color patterns in the forest stood over the cliff while flocks of Pteranodons soaring over the rivers in California.
"Even the titan's existence."
The passengers on Disney Cruise has witness when a titan with spines swimming far ashore until it went to depths of the ocean.
(Flashback ends)
"And that is why we are here to solve the mystery about the music box." Ford finish his story.
"It all make sense now. I have no idea how people are actually afraid of." said Anne.
"Well, your secret is safe with us until we figured out how to get the Plantars back home before anything else can happen."
"I told you that we can trust them." said Sprig talking to Anne's parents.
"Okay, we believe you, but what happens when the government finds out about last night? Shouldn't you be worried?" Mr. Boonchuy asked in conerned.
"Don't worry, we delt with them once. How bad can it be?" said Mabel.
Meanwhile, somewhere inside the truck where it has so many computers and monitors as a person has short, blond hair and wears round glasses along with a silver wristwatch. This person wears a white shirt with rolled-up sleeves held with buttons, a pocket containing a blue and red pens, and a brown and tan striped tie, a pair of dark pants held up by a black belt with silver buckle, and a pair of brown boots.
Another person is a tall bald man with black glasses and purple lipstick. He wears a dark purple suit with a light purple tie, a tan pocket square, and a yellow boutonnière. He also wears white pants, tan roller shoes, and a ring on his left hand who's on a task to investigate about the incident while eating his popsicle.
"Do you know why they call me Mr. X, Jenny?"
Jenny spoke nothing, but glaring at the computer when typing down.
"Right you are, Jenny."
Mr. X, US government special agent from the FBI who has arrived at Los Angeles to investigate about the incident last night. He has many collectibles of aliens that he's obsessed including a picture from the Daily Bugle's newspaper where it says "ALIEN ATTACKS NEW YORK" and he turns his mug to reveal the drawing of an extraterrestrial's face.
" Because I deal specifically with extraterrestrials and rumor has it that there are a few in the area. Hit it, Jenners."
Jenny analyze the image of the Plantars inside the vehicle and a message appears saying "DEFINITELY PROBABLY ALIENS".
" Very good, Jenny. Very nice. This is why you're the best." Mr. X applaud and then notice something. "Oh, Jenny, honey, are you blushing?
Jenny is seen a bit flushed while typing on a computer.
"But who is this I wonder? Little Miss String Bean." Mr. X referred to Anne, but her face was blocked by her parent's car.
Jenny analyzes the mentioned part of the image and a message appears saying "NO POSITIVE ID; LIKELY A HUMAN COMPANION".
"Uh-huh. Sounds like some real '80s movie junk, but one thing's for sure, these aliens are being sheltered and whoever is harboring these little monsters will be in big trouble."
Suddenly, someone is knocking on the truck. Mr. X opens the window to see a boy after playing ice cream music.
"One popsicle, please." said The boy.
"Sorry, little man. This was the last one." He takes a bite out of the popsicle and closed the window, but stucked. "Mmm... Uh... give me a sec."
Mr. X holds the popsicle in his mouth, then uses both hands to tighten the window and closes it. He finishes with the popsicle and throws the stick in the trash.
"Now we've got to get these aliens before someone gets abducted or worse." Suddenly, his stomach was growling. "OK, we need some real food."
Jenny searches the Internet for a food place and finds it shown to have found the map of Thai Go restaurant. Mr. X grinned slyly.
"Jenny, Jenny, you've done it again."
Meanwhile at Thai Go, the Plantars help the Boonchuys prepare the dishes, although they notice that Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy are somewhat active. The Pines are at the restaurant as they are invited by Anne for lunch as a hangout. Jiminy was standing at the counter by the sink listening to Anne's parents.
"Is it just me or is anyone feeling amped up since we fought the robot?" said Mrs. Boonchuy.
"Kick that robot's butt, you mean. Remember I was all "Whapow!" And you were like..." Mr. Boonchuy mimics karate yell.
"Sounds like you got a case of post-battle euphoria." said Hop Pop snaps and points them.
"Nothing like a brush with death to make you feel alive." Sprig commented.
"So what's next? I'm ready to fight!" Mrs. Boonchuy eagers to fight the robot.
"Hopefully, nothing. Unless Andrias sends another robot." said Anne as she approaches. "So we're safe for now. So I'm taking the Plantars to their first movie."
"Well, if anything comes up, we're ready. I even broke out and old pull-up bar. Look." Mr. Boonchuy tries to pull up on a door railing while grunts, but it breaks and he falls. AW! My back!"
"Honey, be careful." said Mrs. Boonchuy.
Anne put on some disguises on for the Plantars getting ready for the movie while Jiminy hops on Anne's shoulder. Anne really loved her parents, but she doesn't want them to get hurt if anything goes wrong.
"Guys, please, leave the danger to us, OK?" Anne trusted her parents to care of herself. "Now, movie time!"
"WHOO!" The Plantars cheers.
"Did someone say movie time?!" Mabel pops up to the kitchen.
"Yep, I'm taking them to see their first movie. Wanna come?" Anne asked.
"Do I!? Grunkle Stan, is it alright that we can go with to Anne to see the movie?" said Mabel asking her great uncle.
"Sure, go ahead." replied Stan while reading the menu.
"And remember, make sure no one else is following you." Ford reminded the teens.
"You got it!" said Mabel giving them a thumbs up. "C'mon guys, let's go to the movie!"
"WHOO! Movie time!" Wendy cheers.
"Movie! Movie! Movie! Movie! Movie! Movie!" Anne and her friends are chanted except Jiminy when they left leaving only Stan, Ford, and Anne's parents.
"Heh heh, kids." Stan chuckled.
Suddenly, they heard a phone as Ford answer his phone.
"Hello?" Ford listening as he heard a voice and then smiles. "Hey, Adeline. How are the kids?"
Stan listening to Ford talking to her on the phone.
"Uh huh... Yes, the kids are fine. They went to see the movie with their friends... Yes, we're still in los Angeles... Oh, you heard the news?... I see... We'll be careful as long those governments aren't around... Alright, we'll see you soon... Thank you... I love you too, honey."
Ford hang up the phone. Stan was staring at Ford smirking.
"Was that your wife?" Stan tease.
"Yes, she was checking on me to make sure how we're doing. Oh, my kids say hi." said Ford.
"Heh! Anyways, what did she say?"
"Well, she said that she saw the news last night and I told her that everything's gonna be fine. Besides, I'm sure no one's gonna stop those kids."
Meanwhile, Anne and her friends arrive at the cinema by parking the rent car. Upon entering, the Plantars gasp from the impression, while the interior is shown with people in line to watch the movie. They have many movie posters that's been playing and some posters says coming soon.
There are some movie posters that are from originally made by respective companies while other movies were made up with many parody. The Plantars have never seen this place like this before.
"Hello, sensory overload!" said Polly as she amazed.
"Whoa! What is this, a church?" Hop Pop asks.
"Yeah, pretty much." Anne sighed.
Both Jiminy and Sprig notice the look on Anne's face.
"What's the matter?" said Sprig hits Anne's right arm.
"Just thinking about my folks. I don't like the idea of putting those two in harm's way. I know we took that robot together but they're still just parents, you know? They shop for groceries and coach Little League T-Ball." replied Anne.
"I know how that feels. I don't like that ideas either when our parents seem to overprotect us by the time we got back home from Gravity Falls." said Dipper.
"Yeah, they must've heard about the news. It's no big deal." Mabel added.
"Well, luckily today today is a stress-free day with no danger or conflict." said Hop Pop.
Back at Thai Go, Mr. X arrives as he slammed the door open with his left hand. Stan and Ford notice when they got attention. Mrs. Boonchuy comes to attend to him as she walks to the counter.
"Hello. Welcome to Thai Go." Mrs. Boonchuy greeted him kindly.
Mr. X shows that his shoes have wheels goes to the counter sliding towards the counter.
"สวัสดีคุณผู้หญิง" said Mr. X speaking Thai. (Greetings Ma'am.)
"โอ้ คุณพูดภาษาไทยได้เหรอ" Mrs. Boonchuy impressed when speaking Thai. (Oh, you speak Thai?)
"เพียงเล็กน้อยที่นี่และที่นั่น." replied Mr. X speaking Thai. (Just a little, here and there.)
" I was stationed on Phuket for a bit. We'll take one Pad see ew. And while we're at it, have you seen and odd creatures walking around? Probably disguised as... humans?" said Mr. X speaks normal.
"(laughs nervously) What strange shapes they are! Haven't seen them. Who's asking?" said Mrs. Boonchuy when she's nervous.
"Oh, just your friendly neighborhood federal government." replied Mr. X showing his ID card to Mrs. Boonchuy.
Stan spits his drink at Ford's face shocked.
"Yes. Very nice. Hooray government!" Mrs. Boonchuy pretends to cheer and then speaking Thai. "พ่อเร็วเข้า!" (Dad, hurry up!)
"Jeez, where's the fire?" Mr. Boonchuy asked as he appears with order, but heard that someone came to the restaurant. "Hmm?"
It was Jenny who came to the restaurant, showing Mr. X that Jenny detected a match, with a message that says "STRING BEAN SIGHTED. POSSIBLE MATCH?" where Anne and the Plantars are shown on the rent car that was drove by Wendy along with Dipper, Mabel, and Pacifica. Mr. X leaves the money at the counter and takes the order.
"Gotta go! Is your stun gun charged, Jenny?" Jenny pulls out his stun gun and lights it up as Mr. X grinned evilly. "Tell me it's charged?"
Mr. X and Jenny go after Anne and the Plantar leaving her parents and older Pine Twins alone in the restaurant. Mrs. Boonchuy is beginning to worry. Ford using the napkins to wipe his face and then standing up from the table.
"That doesn't sound good. They must've heard everything last night." said Ford as he concerns.
"Then what are we waiting for?! We can't just let that creep getting the kids and the frogs!" said Stan as he anxious.
"Uuhh..." Mr. Boonchuy confused.
"We have to go now. I'll explain on the way." Mrs. Boonchuy drags her husband out.
Stan, Ford, and Anne's parents leave the restaurant as they close it by turning the sign says "We're Closed" and run in the car. Mrs. Boonchuy turns on the engine and drove away to follow the ice cream truck. Mrs. Boonchuy calls Anne, but she takes a long time to answer anxious.
"Come on. Come on." Mrs. Boonchuy muttered.
Meanwhile in the cinema, Anne's cell phone is shown vibrating for the incoming call, but she doesn't find out as she and the Plantars watch the trailer along with Dipper, Mabel, Pacifica, and Wendy eating their popcorns and drinking sodas.
"And now... for what you've all been waiting for... Another trailer!"
A dinosaur movie trailer was showing for documentary. Anne remembers that she has seen real dinosaurs when she time travel with her friends. Hop Pop recalls that moment when he did encounter with dinosaurs.
"20 minutes of trailers? And you keep calling yourself civilized." said Hop Pop talking to Anne.
Then it shows Tyrannosaurus roaring while the volcano is erupting. Sprig is scared when the audio was too loud.
"Anyone else feel like this audio-video experience is a little overwhelming?" Sprig scared.
"Entertainment that makes your ears bleeds? I'm here for it, baby!" said Polly as she pops out from the bucket of popcorn.
"I have to admit; it is pretty difficult to hear anything." said Anne before drinking her soda.
"Would've thought that this document was based on a true history." Jiminy commented sitting on Anne's hair.
"It's kinda weird that it almost looks like from the movie where they recite this scene." Dipper added.
"Totally." Pacifica agrees before drinking her soda.
She reached down her hands at the popcorn, but touched Dipper's hands. They took a glance as they blush and looks away with embarrass. Anne's cell phone is displayed on an incoming call yet, but she doesn't answer.
Meanwhile back on the busy avenue, Mrs. Boonchuy becomes frustrated at not taking the call.
"She's not answering!" Mrs. Boonchuy frantic.
"(groans) We're gonna lose him in the traffic!" Mr. Boonchuy complained.
"That's because you drive like an old man! Move over!" Mrs. Boonchuy takes the wheel and turns right.
The car goes through the right corner of the avenue in an inclined position. Mr. Boonchuy yells in panic. Mr. X is shown driving while listening to electronic music. But then he sees a red car intercepting him and brakes. Then he notices that Anne's parents and the eldest Pines Twins are in the car.
"Man, this city. I tell ya." said Mr. X.
Mr. X activates "Traffic Mode," in which the truck is pulled upward by cables attached to the wheels and thus sped past them. They noticed this as they're all shocked.
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!" Stan shouted.
"OH NO!" Mrs. Boonchuy yells.
Back at the cinema, Anne, the Plantars, and her friends leave the room as the movie has finished.
"Well, it was no Suspicion Island." Hop Pop commented.
"What did you say?!" said Sprig as he wipes his ears as he ended up temporarily deaf.
"I thought the protagonist was pretty fun. I liked that she was very flawed and had room to grow." said Anne.
"I'm glad that you enjoyed it." said Dipper.
"Who would've thought that Elsa was taming the water horse." said Pacifica
"Perhaps Dipper really likes her." Mabel tease her brother.
"Mabel!" Dipper snaps when he's blushing.
"Just kidding!"
"You guys are so weird." Wendy chuckled.
Anne takes out her cell phone and notices that she has some messages from her mother. It says "ANNE! SECRET GOV'T AGENT. WATCH OUT FOR ICE CREAM TRUCK!" with ice cream cone and clown face emojis. Anne starts to worry. Jiminy notice that look when he's still on her hair.
"Anne, what is it?" Jiminy asked.
Before Anne replied, she and her friends was staring at the exit just to see Mr. X entering the cinema while he is rolling and strikes a pose. Anne and the Pines were shocked that their secret was out didn't realize that the incident got the governments attention.
"Oh crud." Anne shocked, but whispered and leads the Plantar back to the exhibition slab sector as the 4 of them casually walk along with her friends. "Back inside, gang."
"No. Not another one!" Sprig complained.
"Shut up!" Pacifica hissed at Sprig.
After Mr. X receiving a glass of drink and change, he turns his head and sees Anne and her friends entering a room where the movie "Fugimator 5: He's back to make us more money!". Mr. X begins to go after them while he chuckles and drinks his drink. Anne and her friends hide crouched between the seats.
"Who was that?!" Dipper shocked with whispers.
"Guys, there's a secret agent after us! We have to find a way out of this place without him finding-" Anne's words cut off.
They hear someone sitting down. It was Mr. X who already found them. They were shocked.
"Tell me, are you folks from the area or just visiting?" Mr. X asked.
"AAAAAAHHHHHHH!" Anne and her friends screaming and run from him.
"Oh, how I love a good chase." said Mr. X as he does the scratch mimics.
Anne and her friends leave the room and hide in two trash cans while Mr. X is rolling after them, seeing that he passed by as they leave the hiding place and run towards the entrance-exit access. They lean out to take a look and when they notice that there are no moors on the coast, they run towards the access.
"I think we lost him." said Hop Pop.
"Great. Don't stop." Anne notice when she brakes sharply. "Wait! Stop!"
Her friends collide her. Anne and her friends crouch at the box office and see that it was Jenny checking people out with an infrared gun when Jenny verify at the couples.
"Huh, I think I just won something."
Anne was shock that their only exit was blocked by Jenny. There's no way that could get out. But suddenly, Anne receives a call and answers it.
"They're watching the exit. We need to find another way out." said Anne talking on the phone to her parents.
"We coming in to help." said Mr. Boonchuy from the phone
"No! I don't want you getting in trouble. We can handle it."
"Aw, come on! Let your parents help!" Mabel suggested.
Anne's parents are shown driving talking on the phone while Stan and Ford are in the back.
"Tell her we are adults and we know what we're doing." said Mrs. Boonchuy talking to her husband while driving.
"Anne, you mother says... Hang on, I'm putting you on speaker." Mr. Boonchuy puts his cell phone on a pole to see how to activate the function. "OK, let's see. How do we do this?"
Suddenly, Anne hears a voice.
"คุณรู้ไหมเวลาเท่าไหร่แล้ว?" said The old woman speaking Thai. (Do you know what time it is?)
"Huh?" Anne surprised.
"Oops! I think I accidentally-" Mr. Boonchuys words were cut off.
It shows a face call on her phone with her dad and her grandmother.
"แอน? นั่นคือคุณ? ฉันไม่ได้เห็นคุณมานานแล้ว! คุณดูผอมลง! กินข้าวยัง?" The old woman recognizes to her grandaughter. (Anne? Is that you? I haven't seen you in ages! You look skinny! Have you been eating?)
"Oh, hi, Grandma. Yeah, I just had a sandwich." said Anne talking to her grandma and then she talks to her parents. "Mom, Dad, just stay in the car. We're safe. We'll meet you outside. Bye, Grandma. love you."
Anne ended her phone call. They have arrived at the cinema after parking where they see that Jenny has a line of people for the scan after the boy and his mother were scanned when they are leaving.
"Ah, that tickles my brain."
Anne's parents were shocked. Stan was glaring at Jenny.
"Darn it! There's no way we could get through!" growl Stan.
"How do we get them out? They're cornered." Mrs. Boonchuy worries.
"I have an idea. Not only how to get them out, but to deal with these agents too. Quick! To the pet store!" Mr. Boonchuy suggested as his wife starts driving in a hurry. "Honey, take it easy!"
Back with Anne and her friends, she started to come up with the plans.
"OK. OK. Get it together, Anne. Think. What we're going to need to do first is... Hmm?"
Anne sees that Mr. X caught them again as he draws his stun gun. They were shocked.
"TASER GUN!" Mabel screams.
"HIDE!" Anne yells.
Anne and her friends flee to the showroom sector again. Mr. X sees them running as he grins evilly.
"Well, this is getting fun." said Mr. X.
Anne and her friends enter a dark room and lock the door to hide from Mr. X.
"Oh good. It's a dead end." said Anne.
They looked at the "Dead End" poster as a displayed.
"Ah! Classic." said Hop Pop until Mr. X is heard turning the knob. "Everyone, hide."
They are hiding before Mr. X manages to open the door and sees the silhouette of Hop Pop. He grinned his mouth.
"Now, what could this be?" He slaps and notates that it was a cardboard person. "What the?"
"Now, guys!" Anne yells as they flee the room.
"Oh no, you don't!"
Mr. X starts to chase, but Polly throws a roll of film tape at Mr. X to tie his feet and he falls, but he grabs Hop Pop by the left leg and drags him away. As he falls, he drops his hat, fake nose, and fake glasses. He gasped when exposed. They were gasp with shock.
"(gasp) Whatever are you?" Mr. X let go of him and notices that his hand has mucus. "And why are you so slimy? Ugh!"
"Rude." said Hop Pop sternly.
"GET HIM!" Mabel yells.
Sprig takes out his mask, sticks out his tongue, grabs a roll of movie tape, and throws Mr. X at his head.
"Ya hahaa!" Polly shouted.
is about to throw another one at him, but Anne grabs her. Hop Pop is about to hit him with the cardboard, but Wendy grabs him. As they leave the room, Anne drops them on the floor, locks the door, and the group flees.
"C'mon, let's go!" said Pacifica.
Mr. X gets up and when he notices that the door was locked, he uses his watch to activate a laser and thus melt the lock. Then he kicks the left open and as he leaves uses an ear device to contact Jenny.
"Jenny, you're not gonna believe this. They're big, beautiful talking frog monsters!" Mr. X has a happy face and then returns to his normal state. "Call in the troops."
They are hiding in the bathroom with the door locked and on top of a toilet. They try to accommodate when there's no room.
"Why are these doors so high up?" Anne groaned.
"Your big toe is in my eyeball!" Polly yells.
"Whoooa... C'mon!" said Sprig.
"Watch it! My hand!" Hop Pop snapped.
"Get out of my..." Polly complains
"Stay quiet."
Polly pulls the chain with her left leg.
"That's just great! Now those weirdos are after us!" Pacifica complained.
"If weren't for that stupid scary robot, we'll be safe here!" Mabel commented
"Why are we in the girl's bathroom again?!" Dipper asked when uncomfortable.
"Sorry, dude. There's nothing that we can do." replied Wendy.
Anne feels her cell phone vibrating and sighs. She sees that it is another incoming call from her dad and answers it.
"OK, So your mother and I have a plan to get you out. It's really good too!"
"Guys, no! Seriously, we got this. It's four on one. When he comes in, we'll rush him, and run. See you soon."
"You mean eight on one?" Pacifica reminded Anne.
"Nine." Mabel added.
While they took no notice, the woman was outside and walks away uncomfortable.
"Man, this city. I tell ya."
Meanwhile from the outside, they are shown back at the movie theater in the same spot where they parked. They notice that Anne cut the call. Mr. Boonchuy started to worry more often
"No no no no no. Anne? Anne!"
"Aw! Come on! How hard is it to convince your kid that we can fight!" Stan complains.
"Anne may be stubborn sometimes, but she tries to protect us. I don't want to loose her." Mrs. Boonchuy worries.
"Then we have to do something before he calls some back up." said Ford.
Then they hear some police sirens and find out that there are a few SWAT entering the cinema, while a helicopter watches from above. They carry nets and catch ropes. They were shocked that the kids and the Plantars are gonna get captured. They're not gonna let the police capturing the kids and the frogs as both parents were glance at each other.
"They're in the bathroom. You ready, honey?" Mrs. Boonchuy asked her husband.
"Born ready." replied Mr. Boonchuy.
They pull out some tools and ready go to rescue their daughter while Stan and Ford looked at each other and nodded. Back inside, Jenny guides the SWAT to the bathroom where Anne and her friends are hiding. Mr. X was standing when they stop right near the door.
"They're in there. Come on, everyone. Show time!" Mr. X slams the door open followed by Jenny and his men. "Let's grab ourselves some frog aliens."
The SWATS surround the bathroom where Anne and her friends are.
"Ok, guys. On three, go for the eyes. One, two..."
Anne's words cut off when there is a blackout in the entire cinema crashing noises are being heard.
"What's going on?"
"The power's out!"
"On your toes!"
"They're getting away!"
"Ow! Watch where you're stepping!"
Mr. X lights the bathroom with his flashlight and points to the toilet as he opens, but to his surprise, he finds 2 common frogs croaking and a normal tadpole in a bag. He was shocked that they just switched out. The SWAT Team laughs.
"Nice frog alien, sir." said One of the SWAT laughing.
"I've heard of little green men, but this is ridiculous." The second SWAT added when give his partner a high five.
Jenny gently picks up two frogs and the tadpole in the bag while the SWAT Team left the bathroom. Mr. X clenched his fist as he gets angry, but calm.
"Looks like our little friends are smarter than I thought. We're gonna have fun with this one, Jenny. And we'll have the last laugh!"
Back from the outside while the police left, Anne and her friends are seen exiting through the air duct. They get out thanks to her parents. Her mother was waiting for them inside the car while her father pulls Anne out last. The rest of her friends were standing when the Pine Twins were hugging both Stan and Ford.
"Thank goodness. You kids are safe." said Ford as he relieves
"I don't believe it. Dad, Mom, how did you..." Anne was surprised.
"Well, parents have a special set of skills." replied Mrs. Boonchuy.
(Flashback starts)
First part is when the police is shown on the way.
"First, your mother bought us some time..." Mr. Boonchuy explained.
Mrs. Boonchuy interferes with the patrol when she gets out of the car with Stan while she does a magic trick by pulling Domino out of the top hat. Stan stretch his arms presenting Domino smiling.
"Wow." said The police.
The second part where Ford and Mr. Boonchuy is at the pet store buying the same common frogs and tadpole.
"While your father got the frogs at a pet store down the street." Mrs. Boonchuy explained.
"The owner was your T-Ball coach, Mr. Tran. Remember him? Nice guy." said Mr. Boonchuy talking to Mr. Tran.
The third part when Mr. and Mrs. Boonchuy approach the power controls of the cinema. They play with the levers to cause the blackout.
"And remember that one time we tried to fix the electricity?
"Yeah. What's that a disaster?"
"Yep. So we knew exactly what not to do."
(Flashback ends)
Back in the present, while the SWAT workers are leaving. Anne and her friends were amazed when her parents are telling the story.
"Whoa." Anne was stunned.
"Amazing!" Sprig amazed.
"That wit." Polly commented smiling.
"What is T-ball, anyway?" Hop Pop asked.
"I have no idea." replied Jiminy standing on top of Sprig's head.
"Dang! Your parents rocks!" said Wendy.
"Looks like were on the same common. Right sixers?" said Stan putting his arms around his brother's shoulder.
"Right." replied Ford.
"You guys seriously did all that? I can't believe it. I guess I... I... misjudged you." said Anne distorted her voice
Her parents knew that Anne looked ashamed since she pushes them away to protect them. They smiled softly at Anne.
"That's OK, sweetie." said Mr. Boonchuy softly.
"We forgive you." Mrs. Boonchuy added.
"Wait, but how did you know which bathroom we were hiding in?" Anne asked curious.
"Eeehh..." Mr. Boonchuy nervous.
"Parental intuition?" Mrs. Boonchuy answered as she smiles nervously.
"And... maybe the tracking device we put on Hop Pop when he was sleeping."
While her parents were smiled nervously, Hop Pop unbuttoned his shirt and looked down at the tracking device strapped on his chest.
"I was wondering what that was." Hop Pop curious.
"WHAT?!" Anne shocked.
"Hi-yah!" Polly jumps on top of Hop Pop and rips off the tracking device from his chest as he yells.
Anne, Sprig, and the Pines family were shock at her parent's actions while Ford pinch his nose shaking his head.
"Your parents are so weird." Pacifica remarks.
"Yeah, definitely." Dipper agrees, but muttered.
"We're gonna have a long talk about her personal space." said Ford as he suggested.
Cut to Mr. X as he storms out from the cinema along with Jenny carrying two frogs and a tadpole. Mr. X pulls out his phone and make a contact to the government until he heard a phone call.
"Hello?"
"Agent Power, you are not going to believe what I just saw-"
"If this is some kind of a joke? Make it snappy."
"But sir, there were alien frogs! I saw it with my own eyes!" Mr. X exclaimed.
"What alien frogs?"
"They were disguised as humans and those kids helped them escape!"
"Is that a fact?"
"Yes sir, four girls and one boy." Mr. X answered.
"Well, whatever you are talking about, then keep an eye out. I don't want that mistake as the history repeat itself. Am I clear?"
"Yes sir."
"Good. Contact me if you caught them."
Mr. X heard a phone call has ended. Cut to the headquarters where it shows Agent Power and his partner are standing in this room at the headquarters. His partner crosses his arms thinking it's a joke.
"Sir, what if it's a joke? We all know those aliens still coexist in Hawaii."
"That's no joke Trigger. Whatever the reasons is those aliens that are too dangerous. We cannot let that happen again since Weirdmageddon. Especially the ones that attack on San Francisco."
Agent Power switch the computer screen from L.A. to the photo of a giant monster with spines on its back, but was covered in the dust and smoke as a silhouette in San Francisco with too many chaos.
That's right folks! I made a little surprise that I based on one of the artist who made a crossover between Gravity Falls and The King of the Monsters.
