The Franklin tree was rare for a clear reason. Even with Elijah's contacts and resources, he and Rebekah found it was unbearably difficult to secure. They couldn't seem to find a way to obtain the flowers or even the plant seeds. It was taking them longer than planned and neither were happy about it.
"Just keep me posted, 'Bekah," Elena said over the phone. "I have to get to class."
It had been about a week now since they had left and there still wasn't any luck in getting what they needed. Things were changing around Mystic Falls and not all for the better. Damon and Stefan were starting to build a tolerance to the amount of blood they were receiving.
Barely being able to keep up with the blood donations, Klaus had taken it into his own hands, turning a human into a vampire and using them for their blood.
Elena was absolutely fuming when she came home to a compelled vampire hooked up with two different blood bags on his arms.
"What are you doing?" Elena yelled, rushing over to take the needles out of the poor man. He was sitting there, still in his seat, letting his blood drain from his body.
Catching her before she could unhook the vampire, Klaus grabbed her by the arm. "I'm saving yours and Caroline's lives."
Dragging her backwards, he took her out to the hall.
"You can't do this Klaus! You can't just turn someone and use them for their blood! That man was a human!"
"And now he's a vampire," Klaus stated matter-of-factly while she took her tantrum. He could care less about the man's life in his library. As long as he could give blood for this Ripper Virus, that was all he needed.
"Klaus!" Elena seethed with frustration.
"I don't care, Elena. I don't care what it takes or who I have to use to take it;" he growled. "I will stop you and Caroline from having to donate more blood than you safely can. You can't keep up with the Salvatores thirst, and if you won't let me put Damon and Stefan down, then we are doing it my way," he said clipped.
He had good intentions; Elena knew. He wanted her and Caroline safe, and if she was insisting on keeping the Salvatore men alive, she'd have to give in some way.
They had experienced when the girls couldn't satisfy Damon and Stefan's hunger; it led them to become rabid with hunger and experience hallucinations. It seemed Caroline's blood wasn't as long lasting as Elena's, but even see could only donate so much.
Klaus had to go with them at one point and make sure the compulsion would stay on them, even when in a delusional state. He was not happy.
"If it makes you feel any better, he's compelled to think happy thoughts while not moving in his chair."
Elena paled.
Klaus jovially stood there with his hands behind his back. He did enjoy watching Elena squirm from time to time. "Now off you go. I'll let you know when another delivery can be made."
Elena grabbed a seat in her lecture hall and pulled out her notebook.
Even in just a week span, life had continued to be anything but boring. She had found out that her ancestry descended from a line of witches. It explained a lot of things in life –like how Katharine could always escape undetected or how she had a connection with Kol.
While Elena figured that Katharine nor Isobel had known they had come from magic, it was proven through her connection with Kol that it could be true. While witches could not practice magic as a vampire, it didn't mean that they didn't have any in their blood.
Elena and Kol amended their first assumption about random magic linking them, to now Elena being the one establishing the bond. With the magic in her blood as a human, the spirits magic when they took her life, and ingesting Kol's blood before her death, it all allowed them to establish a magical bond through their friendship.
And if that wasn't enough Caroline also had Elena busy. It was now the winter season and her friend was determined to go all out. Snow hadn't even fallen yet and Caroline had Elena out holiday shopping. Caroline was determined to buy something for everyone and insisted Elena go with her.
Because of this, Elena barely had time to speak with Elijah. If it wasn't Damon or Stefan or Caroline, it was classes or caring for Hope. She had just enough time one day, after seeing Matt, to visit her family at the cemetery. In reading her father's journal, Elena felt the need to do a lot of apologizing to John at his grave.
But between the small-time difference and each being busy, neither Elijah or Elena had time to see each other since his late-night call after landing.
A vibration in her pocket broke her from her thoughts. Only half-listening to her lecture as it dragged on, she glanced down to her phone. It was a text from Marcel.
What if I told you, I needed a tour guide around Mystic Falls?
Furrowing her eyebrows, she texted him back. I'd say I'm your girl. But I'd also warn you it is not a party town like you're used to down in New Orleans.
It was only a second or two before another message came in. So, I've been warned once before. I'm sure it must have some perks, though, right?
Elena smiled and typed a reply. Mystic Falls – the town of vampires and one decent restaurant.
Waiting for him to respond, she turned back to the professor. He wrapped up with finals words and dismissed them.
Guess you'll have to show me that one restaurant then ;)
When? Hitting send, she closed up her notebook and put her things in her bag.
Glancing to their conversation, she found there was still no reply from Marcel. Getting up from her seat with her phone in hand, she followed the rest of the students out of the hall.
? she typed.
"I could go for some food now, how about you?" Marcel's voice questioned to her.
Elena looked up from her phone and found her handsome friend leaning against the wall with his phone in hand, beaming at her from across the hall.
Laughing, she made her way through the crowds of people and hugged him tightly. "What are you doing here?" she asked happily. He was a refreshing sight to see in her small town.
"I'm actually here to meet my tour guide. She said she'd show me around Mystic Falls. Apparently, there is a good restaurant in the town I need to check out," he said playing along. Elena smiled and hooked her arm with his.
Elena took Marcel to the Grill, showing him all of their little downtown along the way.
"The Mystic Grill," Marcel read overhead as Elena opened the restaurant door for him. Elena waved to Matt behind the bar and took him over to one of the high tables. A waiter came by with some menus and took their drink orders.
"Huh, this place isn't too bad," Marcel said glancing around and taking in the atmosphere. It was a mix of new age and quaint. There was a pool table, dart board, and a bar, which were all pluses to him.
"It's about the only restaurant that serves decent food in town," she taking off her jacket. Nodding over to the pool table, she wondered if he played.
"Oh, you are about to get your ass handed to you," Marcel grinned, taking off his own jacket and walking over to the table.
Elena racked up the balls as Marcel chalked up his stick. Setting it in its place, she took of the triangle and let him break.
"So how did you figure out where I was?" Elena asked. He wasn't kidding when he bragged about being good. He had already gotten three balls in the pockets without her even taking a turn yet.
"Do you know everyone around here knows who you are?" Marcel asked her, looking up from his shot. Another ball in. "All I had to do was walk up to a stranger and asked if they knew Elena Gilbert and where she may be."
Hitting the cue ball, he missed the shot.
"Small town," Elena answered, looking to the table for her shot.
"Anyway, they directed me to Whitmore college," he told her. Elena hit a ball in. "Once I got there, I asked around. No one had any idea who you were."
Smiling, she hit another ball in. That was something she loved about college. She was just another girl on a big campus. Lining herself up, she got ready to put another ball in the pocket.
"So, I walked around for a while, looking like an absolute fool, until I started asking people if they knew where I could find a Mikaelson. Immediately everyone started talking about Kol."
Elena laughed, screwing up her shot. Kol was the infamous party boy on campus. It was no surprise everyone knew his name.
Marcel smiled and went to take his turn at the table. "People raved about the man for a good 10 minutes before I was finally able to ask where I could find him. They gave me directions to his dorm and Kol told me where I could find you from there."
"He just told you?" Elena asked skeptically as Marcel his two balls in the pocket.
"No," he laughed. "He was pretty shocked I was at his doorstep. After slamming me into a wall and giving me endless threats, I told him I needed to speak to you. He wasn't happy about the idea but I told him it was important."
Elena raised an eyebrow. And with another ball in the pocket, Marcel had just the 8-ball left.
"Elena, are you guys ready to order?" Matt asked coming to their table. Smiling, she hugged her friend.
"Matt, right?" Marcel asked coming to shake the man's hand.
"Yeah," Matt smiled, now recognizing the guy's face. He was Elena's friend in New Orleans. "Marcel, right?"
"Good memory," Marcel smiled.
"Are you guys ready to order?" Matt wondered to him and Elena. While Matt liked the dude, he was curious what he was doing in town.
Marcel looked to Elena for guidance on what would be good. Taking two burgers, Elena thanked Matt and went back to the game. Marcel had already put the 8-ball in. He smiled at her and grabbed the triangle to set a new game.
"So, what's going on, then?" Elena wondered sipping her soda. If he wasn't here on social call, what was he doing here.
Marcel walked over to her. It probably wasn't best to talk openly about this over a large pool table. "Did you know Klaus's hybrids went rogue?" He wondered.
Elena nodded troubled. "They unsired themselves," she sighed. "One of the first hybrid's Klaus made was a guy named Tyler. He learned how to unsire himself. He unsired Hayley and they must have unsired everyone else." Elena thought back to laying on the tomb's floor. She paled.
"Well, it's more than that now," Marcel told her cautiously. "Not only have they stopped obeying Klaus, but they've gone completely out of control. It's chaos in New Orleans right now."
Elena looked to him nervously.
"Look, I hate Klaus. I hate what he did to me, to you, and to pretty much everyone he's ever touched. What he did in making hybrids was nuts. But at least they were under control. His ungoverned hybrids are now running rampant, ruining my city and all I've built. They're out of control, killing whoever they want, whenever they want. He's about to start a war against witches and hybrids, without even doing anything."
The news was really big.
"I don't like Klaus and honestly, I wouldn't have bothered to tell him the news. But I like you. I enjoy our friendship and I know you care for Klaus," Marcel told her.
It wasn't just Klaus that Elena liked. It was peace. It was Marcel.
"Are you safe?" she wondered to her friend. If his town was on an uprising and in the chaos he was describing, people would look to their leader.
"I'll be fine," he told her. "Just watch your back. If Klaus's hybrids are coming for him, they'll be coming for his entire family and the one that made it possible to create them."
Elena swallowed hard. So, on top of a virus, they now had a war coming.
Matt brought their food over, looking to a pale Elena. "You okay?"
Nodding, she went to sit down.
"I didn't mean to freak you out," Marcel said after Matt left them. "It's not that bad. It's just…tensions are getting higher and I figured you deserved the warning."
"Thank you," Elena breathed.
She knew how much Klaus had hurt Marcel and all he did to rebuild his life after Klaus left. He didn't have to tell her a thing. Marcel changed topics to lighter matters. He only planned to stay for a day or two, so that he could deliver the message to Elena. He figured it was best in person since it was a serious matter and trust was hard to come by right now. Elena tried to convince him to stay longer. He needed to get the full small-town experience.
"Nah, I can't," he said with a small laugh. Mystic Falls was a very small town.
"Fine, then we will have to document the day," she said pulling out her phone and snapping a picture of him smiling at the table.
After the Grill, she showed him around the town, picking up coffees as they walked through the chilly air. She showed him her infamous school, the park, and back to Whitmore campus to introduce him to Caroline.
Where are you? Kol wondered telepathically. Showing him Caroline's room where Marcel and her were talking, she felt his energy
I'll meet you there.
"Uh, Elena?" Marcel asked bringing her attention to the present.
"Her eyes do that," Caroline answered for him when he saw Elena's eyes glow purple.
Elena explained her link with Kol to Marcel, trusting him with the information. Afterall, he had come all the way to Mystic Falls to tell him about the hybrid war.
Hearing a knock on the door, Caroline answered it. Kol.
"Perfect timing," she told him as she let him in. Kol came bounding towards Elena, slipping an arm around her as he sat down next to her on Caroline's beanbag chair. He did not like the idea of Marcel hanging around his friend.
"It's fine, Kol," Elena spoke softly to her friend. He was glaring daggers at Marcel. She set a hand on Kol's leg.
"Let's go clubbing," Caroline claimed to break up the tension. "It's a perfect night. It hasn't snowed yet and!" she exclaimed. "We have a guest to show around." Smiling, she sat down next to Marcel. He was easy to get along with, much different to Klaus.
Elena wasn't really in the mood for clubbing, but didn't dare speak it. Caroline was bouncing with joy at the idea to get dressed up for the night and go out.
"I'm game if you are," Marcel said looking from Caroline to Elena. A night out sounded good.
"Okay," Elena said giving in. Caroline squealed.
"Count me in as well," Kol said smirking to Elena. He would figure out what Marcel's real intentions were.
Coming out in a cropped, black long sleeve wrap sweater and jeans, Elena scrunched her freshly dyed hair a bit more and looked to Caroline.
Wearing a low-cut white spaghetti strap top and super short black skirt, Caroline was busy putting on her shoes.
"Are you serious, Elena?" she whined, looking at her friend. It was as if Elena wasn't even trying for their night out. While she looked cute and kind of sexy, it was not the super-hot, flaunt-what-I-got, vibe she was going for.
"Care, it's winter out. You are going to freeze in that," Elena said, feeling very blah compared to her friend.
"We will be inside most of the time," she replied. "And I'm a vampire. I'll be fine." Crossing her arms against her chest, she disproved the look. "At least put on some heavy makeup. You look good when you do that edgy look."
Elena sighed and turned back around to the mirror. Caroline was taking this night way too seriously.
"Ready?" Kol and Marcel asked coming back into the girl's dorm. They had gone out for a bite to eat and to clear the air before hanging around a club together.
"Wow," Marcel said looking to Caroline and Elena. They were gorgeous.
"Darling, where is the rest of your top?" Kol asked, noticing a lot of Elena's midriff as she turned to them.
Elena stuck her tongue out at him, making Marcel laugh.
Caroline thinks I'm not dressed well enough Elena told Kol telepathically. She felt nervous.
You aren't covered enough, that is for sure Kol thought to her. If his brother saw he was letting her walk around with most of her stomach showing, he would injure him.
But you look sexy as hell, Elena. Don't worry about what Caroline thinks. She is going to freeze going in what she is wearing.
Kol looked back to the blonde trying not to shake his head. There was not much left to the imagination. Kol was at least thankful Elena wasn't wearing that and was being smart about her clothes. It was winter time and getting fairly cold in the area.
Elena looked at herself one last time before slipping on her high heel boots. With her smoky makeup and freshly done hair, Rebekah would be proud. Elena had even gone by herself to the salon and gotten her hair re-cut. It was now wavy and had some lighter brown highlights.
"Let's go!" Caroline exclaimed happily.
Grabbing the last of her things, Elena picked up her ringing cell phone. Elijah.
"I-I'll meet you guys," Elena told them as they went to walk out of the room. Her friends turned back to her. Staring at her phone, she felt torn.
"Go, Care," Elena instructed. "I'll catch up with you guys. I'm sure you'll be walking slow in those heels anyway," she joked to her friend. Caroline had some very high stiletto shoes that were sexy, but were not made for moving in.
Disappointed but agreeing, Caroline left with Marcel and Kol.
I'll wait outside of the building for you, Kol told her telepathically before leaving her be.
Elena hit the accept button on the video chat.
"Hi," he said gruffly, surprised to see her so dressed up. It was around 3:00am in London and he couldn't sleep. He hadn't talked to Elena for about a week and it was killing him.
"Hey," she said to him, sitting down on Caroline's bed. He looked tired.
"Am I interrupting something?" Elijah wondered. He could tell from the background she wasn't home, and usually she wore dark makeup when she was going out somewhere.
"No," Elena quickly rushed out. "I-…Caroline is dragging us out for a night of clubbing. Marcel is in town and we wanted to show him a good time."
"Marcel?" Elijah wondered suspiciously.
She could see his jaw set as the light of his phone hit his face. "He was just here to give us a warning about what is going on in New Orleans. Klaus's hybrids are acting up now that they are unsired. He was worried for our safety. That is all. He leaves tomorrow."
Elijah tried to control himself. His head was buzzing with jealousy. "Who else is going?"
Elijah hoped Kol was with her. He could call Kol as soon as he was done talking to Elena to set the record straight. Marcel was to keep his hands off and Kol was to make sure Elena was safe at all times. He'd murder his little brother if anything were to happen while he was gone.
"It's just Caroline, Me, Marcel, and Kol."
Success. Kol was going.
"I should let you go then," he told her trying not to let jealousy get the best of him. He stared at her gorgeous face with longing.
"Please, don't," she rushed out quickly. She didn't want him to leave. Staring at him on her screen, her heart clenched. She really missed him. "How have you been?"
"We're getting close to being able to get what we need," he sighed. It was a very long process and he was itching to be home.
Elena stared sullenly at him. She could only imagine the red tape he was having to go through just to buy the stuff and bring it home.
"I miss you," he sighed.
Elena gave a soft smile at that. "I miss you too. A lot."
Elijah felt comforted by that. She looked like she was doing fine without him. She looked different, her hair now carrying light brown highlights.
"You look beautiful," he told her as they stared at one another.
Elena let out a little laugh, shaking her head. "You should have seen the look on Caroline's face when I was finished getting ready. She had me put on makeup so I at least looked edgy."
Elijah smiled, listening to her soothing voice as he laid in bed.
"It's freezing here and Caroline is dressed like it is summer."
Elijah wondered what she was wearing. He could only get a half glimpse of it. "Well, send me pictures of your night."
Elena nodded, her smile fading. "I wish you were here."
"Soon," he replied feeling the exact same way.
Another call appeared on Elena's phone. Caroline.
Sighing, she rejected it.
"Go," he instructed. Wanting her to do the exact opposite, he had a difficult time leaving their call.
"Yeah, I should," she said not moving an inch to do so.
Another call from Caroline. Elena sighed, swiping it away.
"I love you, Elena," Elijah spoke, knowing he needed to be the one to let her go. "I'll see you soon." With that, he hit the end button and rolled onto his back. His heart felt empty.
Kol had waited for her like he said. Elijah had texted him, warning him with death threats and instructions to keep Elena safe. Kol answered with a thumbs up before Elena came out from the dorms.
He intended to keep his promise to his brother, but he also made sure his best friend was to have a good time. She had walked out looking heartbroken, so Kol did everything he could to cheer her up. And that included lots of shots. They clubbed until 3am, taking Marcel and Caroline back to the mansion.
Marcel was hesitant at first, not wanting to be near Klaus, but his only other option was the dorms and he wasn't about to share a bed with Kol or Caroline.
"Marcellus," Klaus said surprised when Kol, Elena and Caroline came stumbling in the house laughing.
"Klaus," Marcel said sobering up.
"What are you doing here? What is going on?" Klaus wondered to all of them. They smelled intoxicated. Elena ushered Kol to take Caroline and Marcel up to the spare rooms and help them get settled.
"Klaus, Marcel came here to warn me," Elena told him. "Your hybrids are out of control down in New Orleans. They're attacking witches, among other people in New Orleans."
Klaus immediately put it together. "Starting a war."
Elena nodded.
"And he told you?" Klaus wondered suspiciously.
"Who made it so that they could transition to hybrids?" Elena asked her friend. It was her doppelgänger blood that turned them to the lifestyle.
"Does Elijah know?" Klaus wondered, looking back to where Marcel last was.
Elena nodded in confirmation. Leaving him be, she went to sleep the day away.
"Klaus?" Elena asked as she got to the steps. "Make up with Marcel already. You both miss one another. Just…do something about that."
Elena padded her way up the steps. Pushing her way into Elijah's room, she got ready for bed and changed into one of his shirts. Putting her head on his pillow, she wished for him to come back to her soon.
It was a week after Marcel left and still no Elijah. The first snow had already fallen, blanketing the town with inches of white heavy dust. Kol had woken her up in the early morning, rushing home from the dorms like a little kid, and dragged her outside for a snowball fight.
Elena loved this time of the year. It made Mystic Falls even prettier in the winter. The snow covered the trees and land. It made it look magical against the lights the town hung up all around. She had wished so badly for Elijah to be with her, especially on the first night it snowed. But he was still stuck in London, hopelessly trying to get the flowers necessary for Stefan and Damon.
Venturing around the Mikaelson property, Elena found a bench near the back-land's fountain. Brushing off the snow, Elena sat down with her blanket around her shoulders and opened her notebook. Christmas was coming up which meant a big dinner. Klaus insisted on getting it done professionally this time, so Elena was in charge of getting the guest list, dinner and drink menu to the catering service.
Making a list of everyone invited as her fingers slowly froze, she was too preoccupied to hear as shoes crunched against the snow. Caroline, Matt, Stefan…she hoped that he would be out of the tomb in time. Damon, Sheriff Forbes…
Feeling a cold kiss to her cheek, Elena jumped away startled.
Elijah.
He stared, with his hands in his black coat pockets, beaming at the sight of her.
Elena squealed. Dropping her things, she quickly jumped off the bench into his arms. He was home!
Elijah caught her with ease, pleased with her reaction, and held her close. Bringing his lips to hers, he kissed her long and hard. He had never been more content with her in his arms in his life.
"You're home," she breathed, parting from him so she could make sure he was real. Her cold fingers on his cheeks, she stared into his eyes.
"I am." He grinned at her disbelief. It had felt like the longest flight home. He couldn't wait to surprise her.
Elena leaned in and kissed him again. He was back. He had come home to her.
"Why are you all the way out here?" Elijah asked once they pulled away, breathless from their kiss. He had looked all around the empty house for her. He was about to leave to go to the Grill and see if she was there when he caught a glimpse of her navy coat from the window. He gently set her down, but kept her close in his arms.
"I like the snow," she put simply, enjoying how it was still lightly falling.
Elijah couldn't believe how much he had missed her. Just being back in his presence uplifted his spirits greatly. He kissed her once more, pushing her hair back from her face.
"You know," Elijah said looking up thoughtfully. "Niklaus and Hope are gone for the day Christmas shopping, Rebekah is off to see Matt, and Kol is at the dorms…"
With a twinkle in both of their eyes, they grabbed Elena's things and rushed inside.
Elena squealed when Elijah picked her up. Just barely getting her winter boots off, he scooped her up and rushed her to their bedroom.
There were too many layers to pull off each other. With their winter jackets still on, scarves and gloves, both were on edge by the time their clothes came off and nothing was left in between them. Elijah picked her up, setting himself inside of her as he carried her to bed.
He missed those little gasps he could make escape her lips.
"Elijah," she moaned as her back hit the bed and he began moving inside of her.
Elijah groaned as he pulled himself from her tightness. She was so wet for him. Grabbing her leg, he hiked it above his shoulder and slammed back inside her. The change of angle had her arching her back in pleasure and he devoured her nipple with his lips.
"Yes," she hissed out.
Elijah moved up, sucking and kissing her neck as he pounded himself inside of her. He could feel his desire growing and his fangs appearing.
"Elena," he groaned into her neck. He needed to bite her. He wanted to taste her.
"Do it," she gasped to Elijah sensing exactly what he needed as he thrusted himself into her. Pulling his head back, he bit his own wrist, offering it to her as he bent down to take her neck. He listened as she let out a long moan as he drank from her. Feeling the sucking sensation on his skin, he groaned.
The pleasure was incomprehensible. From being inside Elena's tight walls as she orgasmed, to her blood on his lips, and her mouth on his skin. Elijah let the high take him and he gave a final thrust inside her, penetrating her with his seed as she continued to come around him.
They were breathless when they finally parted from one another. Elijah let her leg down from his shoulder but didn't dare leave her warmth. He never wanted to part his body from hers.
Smiling down at her, he kissed her lips and rubbed her hair back from her face. "I missed you."
"I missed you," she replied happily as he laid on top of her. Bringing him down for another long kiss, she ran her hands across his body. It felt complete to have him here in bed with her.
"We should clean up." There was blood and fluids from both of them on the sheets.
Elijah grunted at the idea, hanging his head against her chest. Chuckling, Elena pushed him off of her, gasping as he left her body. She didn't want anyone coming home and having his bedroom smell like sex.
With other ideas in mind, Elijah caught Elena's hand and twirled her to him. Kissing her lovingly, he guided her to the bathroom. Starting the shower, he held her against the counter as they waited for the water to warm.
"I just want you in my arms a while longer," he murmured to her, leaning down and kissing her again. Elena couldn't contend with that. Wrapping her arms around him, she felt the exact same way.
When the water warmed the two stepped in. Soaking under the heat, the stayed wrapped in one another.
Elena laid her head back against Elijah's shoulder as he stood behind her, kissing his way down her neck and across her shoulder. She missed his lips on her skin and the feel of his embrace. Humming in happiness, she wrapped her arms around his on her waist and tilted her head to kiss him.
His lips met hers and they battled for dominance. Turning in his arms, Elena held him close as their bodies stood away from the spray of water. Parting slowly from him, her lips attached to his neck and made their way down his solidly built chest. Listening to him groan and grasp at her, she slowly made her way to her knees on the tile floor. With her hands trailing down his torso, she kissed his erect tip and watched as he twitched.
Elijah gave a sharp intake of breath at the feeling of her lips. Fisting her hair in his hands, he let out a guttural groan as her mouth went around him, sucking him like he enjoyed.
"Yes," he hissed. Her head bobbed against his shaft, taking him deep in her mouth.
Elena looked up at him, breathing hard as she sucked him. Using her tongue, she swirled and teased his tip before diving him back into her mouth. He groaned at the sensation, thrusting his hips against her face as he pushed himself for more.
Giving into his desires, she stood on her knees, with him in her mouth. Sucking hard and licking all she could, she massaged his balls and pumped the rest of him with her hands. He was so big and thick.
"Elena," he breathed, tossing his head back. Holding her head in place as he pushed himself against her lips, he practically lost it when she moaned with him in her mouth. The vibrations were bringing him to the edge.
"I'm…gunna…." Elijah was so close. Tugging her to come up so that he could shove himself inside her, Elena held onto his driving hips tight against her face. She encouraged him to finish in her mouth. She knew how much he enjoyed it when she sucked him, and while she was dripping for him, she wanted to give him this. He could always pleasure her later.
Elijah groaned at the thought of spilling himself inside of her mouth. Bowing his head down to watch her, he clenched her hair. She was peering up at him while her mouth on his thick member. Rubbing her tongue against his shaft, he watched as her head resume a fast-paced bob. With just a bit more, Elijah felt his tip hit the back of her throat and lost himself. Climaxing hard, jets of his hot seed shot into Elena's warm mouth.
Elena continued to blow him as he finished. Sucking hard, she slowed her pace and swallowed what she could of him.
"I'm never going to be able to get that out of my head," he groaned as she stood back up. Some of his cum was still on her lips, and he hardened at the reminder of her mouth. Brushing it away with his thumb, he spun her around and plunged himself inside of her. Pleased at her long moan, he pushed against the cold shower wall, pumping himself deep inside of her.
"That's it," he grunted, as he held her one of her hands up above her head, with her face against the tile. Taking their other hands, he brought them down and used them to pleasure her together.
Rubbing her clit with their fingers as he thrusted himself deep inside her, he watched as she unraveled. "Give it to me, Elena," he grunted, as he pushed himself hard inside of her. He could feel her body tight against him. She was right at the edge of orgasming. Using their fingers to rub her clit with a bit more pressure, he finally felt as her body gave out with overpowering pleasure. "Ah," Elena whimpered, as felt her body uncontrollably gush fluids.
When Elena was able to calm down from her high, she turned back around to Elijah. Smiling, the two kissed. "I missed you," she mumbled against his lips.
"I missed you," he said as he held her.
Elena and Elijah made dinner together with chatter flowing between them. He told her all about their trip and the struggle for the Franklin tree. There weren't too many seeds left in the world. He had gotten his hands on enough of the flowers though, to hopefully create a remedy.
"Well, I'm glad the trip was a success. Your bed was much too lonely without you," she smiled as she chopped some vegetables for the salad.
"You could move back into our room permanently, you know," Elijah tried to nonchalantly suggest, as he went looking through the fridge.
"Right," Elena said with a laugh, thinking he was being lighthearted with her.
"I'm serious," he replied. Looking at the refrigerator, unable to remember what he was getting, he shut the doors and went to stand next to her. He had been wanting to broach the topic for a while now, but he didn't want to spook her. "Move back into our room with me. We can put your clothes back in the drawers where they were and transfer the things in your bathroom to mine."
There really wasn't much to move besides those items. All of the fuzzy blankets Elena loved to sleep with were already in his bed. The girl loved to sleep with a heap of them. Whether they were next to her or on top of her, she had a few favorites that she loved to wrap herself in.
Being away from her made this idea so much clearer to him. It'd be easy to go back to how it used to be between them. He hadn't put any of his clothes back in their old place from when she left. The spots he made were for her, and when she moved out, he couldn't bring him to think of it differently. The room had become theirs when she moved into it. He couldn't change that back.
Elena looked over at him with a curious expression. He really was set on the idea. The only question now was, was she?
His heart was pounding, waiting as Elena stood pensive, her lip between her teeth in a nervous tell.
"We can make this work, Elena. If my trip to London has taught us anything, it's that we are stronger together."
"You gave us meaning, Elena. Your choice to save us, led us here," she remembered Kol telling her. She thought back to that drawing. She kept it in her side drawer in Elijah's room. "Okay," she agreed.
Elijah thought he was going to have to convince her further until her voice hit his brain. "Okay?" he asked.
"I'll move back into your room with you," she nodded. Elijah brought her into a strong loving kiss.
"Our room," he corrected her as he raised his hand to run through her hair. "You'll move back into our room." Kissing her again, he thought he was going to burst with happiness. Elena was there to stay.
"Our room," she revised in agreement, enjoying the smile permanently placed on his face.
Elijah insisted moving in her things back into their room after dinner. Practically dancing with joy, he helped Elena grab her things and settle back in.
"And what are you two love birds doing?" Klaus wondered after putting Hope to sleep. They were going back and forth across the hall with handfuls of random objects. Quickly answering his own questions, by the giddiness of Elijah's attitude, he smirked. "Back to sharing a room then?"
"That we are," Elena said, letting Elijah take her pillows from her arms. Klaus put an arm on her shoulder, appreciating his brother's happiness. Smiling to him, kissed his cheek and he let them be.
Laughing as Elijah met her to take another trip, they walked hand in hand down the hall to get more of her things.
