Another chapter of TGT is coming your way. Tensions are beginning to bubble over, but Mr. Wonka does not seem to be doing anything right now. That's going to keep the remaining guests on their heels.

Chapter 11: Working Television
Charlie was just trying to stick close to the people he really thought were the friendliest of the bunch...which turned out to be Sofia and Wendy, since they were both nicer than the other kids. But even he noticed that something was bothering Wendy, but didn't know what to say.
I just hope she opens herself to me soon about what is bothering her. I don't even know if Sofia's seeing the expression that Wendy is highlighting. I am sure she will realize something is up soon.
Meanwhile, Wendy was just looking at Charlie, continuing to keep glancing at Charlie whenever she got the chance to. Sofia seemed just right for Charlie, and he probably was thinking the same thing.
Why is it that when I'm not inside my dad's facility that I have to be awkward around others my age? It just doesn't make any sense. Well...at least I made some progress with Charlie.
Mr. Wonka finally began to make his way along with the rest of the group to a giant door that looked as if it was an elevator. Most of the guests that were still left were getting tired of the tour going in circles.
"Mr. Wonka, what is it now? I know, this place is really amazing. But, hasn't this tour gone on long enough? I mean, we've already been here for almost on two hours now." Mrs. Pots said.
"I agree. We should be out and about already. Just tell us who the winner is already." Mrs. Beauregarde said.
"Yeah, this is starting to get annoying." Mike said.
"Hold on guests. We haven't even gotten past the halfway point of the tour. There is still so much to see here. Like this elevator for example." Mr. Wonka said.
"Mr. Wonka, there's no way that's an elevator...right?" Mr. Teavee asked.
Mr. Wonka pressed a button, and when the doors opened, it indeed turned out to be a elevator...and not just any old, elevator, a glass one. Where you could see on the outside. This caused some of the guests to look at Mr. Wonka like he was crazy.
"You...can't be serious right?" Violet asked.
"I'm not getting in there." Mike said.
"Do you want the prize? That's why all of you came here in the first place right? It's all right, it doesn't have a crack...yet. Anyways, come on all of ye landlubbers!"
Yoshi had to cringe at the wording. Mr. Wonka, he now realized, was a social newbie, who had no idea how to interact with people at all. It was no wonder why Mr. Wonka was getting rid of some kids...they were coming down to who was the smartest among them. And he knew that the remaining kids weren't going to fall for the easy tricks like Mr. Wonka had situated the first four times.
You're going to have to be cleverer than that to get me out of this competition. Less you want me to come out on top without a challenge in the slightest.
Mr. Wonka and the group all entered the elevator...which was really cramped since there was thirteen people inside the elevator. Charlie was scrunched up against Wendy and Sofia, Violet was next to Yoshi, everyone else was just moving around to get more comfortable. When Mr. Wonka pressed one of the buttons, many people expected the elevator to just go either up or down. Instead, the elevator moved to the left, knocking people into one another, while Mr. Wonka just watched with amusement.
"Ouch, who stepped on me!" Mr. Morikawa asked.
"Sorry, My bad." Mrs. Pots said.
"Stop pushing, I'm trying to move here." Mrs. Beauregarde said.
"If you would just give me a chance-" Mr. Stein said.
The elevator then stopped suddenly and then began moving backwards. This caused the group to clump up near the front of the elevator. After a bit, the group got up and looked at where they were. They all saw a large mountain with a bunch of Oompa Loompa's using pickaxes to take some pieces off the mountain.
"Wait...that's a chocolate mountain?" Mr. Morikawa asked.
"Sure is. My workers do this a bit when we're trying to create chocolate. Say hi everyone." Mr. Wonka said.
Charlie helped up both Wendy and Sofia, and then they saw the group and waved at the group. They then stopped suddenly, with no one falling down this time. And then, they went downwards, in front of some cannon's that was shooting out fireworks. Mike was starting to get impatient.
"What is this a game to you? This is all ridiculous. Chocolate is a waste of time!" Mike said.
This caused Mr. Wonka to have his eyes go big, and he was once again zoned out again. Most of the group just tried to get used to the sounds around them as they continued to fall further and further down around the cannon. Mr. Wonka, after a bit of daydreaming, finally came back to reality.
"I want to pick a room." Mike said.
"Go right ahead." Mr. Wonka said.
Mike shoved a couple of people out of the way, including knocking Sofia to the ground. Charlie went over and helped Sofia up, with Wendy looking at the two with some jealous eyes. Mike then saw a button for a TV room. Mike decided to press the button, and the elevator suddenly stopped, and it went to the right, pushing people a little bit. After a couple, more seconds of the elevator moving, it suddenly stopped next to the room. The group eventually got out, and they saw a room that was completely covered in white paint, with Oompa Loompa's wearing white jumpsuits. The group then noticed Mr. Wonka put on a large pair of goggles, so they put them on. It made the room look even darker than it was, which made the group question why they had the goggles on. But when they saw the room in large, they saw giant projectors and a large platform in the center. There was also an individual Oompa Loompa watching Television on their chair.
"Welcome to the room. This is where I've come up with very new technology which I'm pretty close to releasing. I call this...Wonka Vision." Mr. Wonka said.
"Really? Putting your name on the product. That's just-" Mike began.
"MUMBLER!"
Everyone just looked at Mr. Wonka at the loud exclamation.
"I'm sorry I can't understand a word you are saying. Anyways...bring out the chocolate."
The group saw about six Oompa Loompa's bring out a huge Wonka bar, which made Sofia confused.
"Mr. Wonka...why make the Wonka Bar so big?" Sofia asked.
"Oh, I'm going to be sending it to the television. Don't want a super small Wonka Bar in the screen now do we?" Mr. Wonka said.
"Mr. Wonka...you're saying you're going to send that large Wonka bar into the Television...that can't be right, tech like that hasn't been created yet." Mr. Stein said.
"Well...it does now. Just look and see."
The Oompa Loompa's placed the huge Wonka Bar on the platform, and a couple of them are working on the cameras that are situated above it. Mr. Wonka pressed a button that was at the center of the machine. The group heard a whirring sound, and they saw the huge Wonka Bar being raised in the air. A glass container came down from the top of the room, and it encased the Wonka Bar over it. The Camera's then turned on, and a bright flash of light filled the entire room. The goggles made the light less bright, and when it died down, the Wonka Bar was nowhere to be seen. Most of the guests were shocked at what they saw, but Mike still looked unimpressed, which irritated Yoshi.
Can he at least appreciate what Mr. Wonka is doing, even if he isn't at all right in the head.
Mr. Morikawa then raised his hand from the group.
"Mr. Wonka...where did the Wonka Bar go exactly?"
"Oh, it's in the air right now flying above our heads in a million pieces. Come on, let's go." Mr. Wonka said.
Mr. Wonka headed down to where the television was, and the group followed Mr. Wonka to the television set. They were all currently watching a program that looked like it was from the beginning of 2001: A Space Odyssey. There were multiple monkeys out there moving around quite a bit. Most of the group didn't really understand why they were looking at this screen.
"What's the point of this?" Yoshi asked.
"Just watch the screen." Mr. Wonka said.
The group keep their eyes tuned in on the screen. Mike was about to jest about Mr. Wonka, when everyone saw something materializing before their eyes in the screen. After a couple of seconds, it turned out to be the Wonka Bar that Mr. Wonka had made vanish. It was suddenly on the screen.
"So... anyone want to reach for it?"
Everyone looked at Mr. Wonka like he had just lost his mind.
"No... that shouldn't be possible anyways." Mrs. Pots said.
"Yeah...science like that doesn't exist yet." Mr. Stein said.
"Not doing that." Mike said.
"Alright...Charlie, why don't you go ahead and take it." Mr. Wonka said.
Charlie looked a little hesitant to follow through with what Mr. Wonka was asking him to do, but eventually he went up to the screen. Sofia was trying not to sound panicked for Charlie, while Wendy couldn't watch. Charlie held his hand out and put his hand through the television screen. Charlie then grabbed the Wonka Bar from inside the screen, and he pulled his hand out of it. Charlie and the others looked on in Wonder, not believing what they were looking at.
"Try it, it tastes like the real thing." Mr. Wonka said.
Charlie opened the bar, and took a small bite out of the Wonka bar.
"It's delicious." Charlie said.
"It's incredible." Grandpa Joe said.
"It's a miracle." Mr. Stein said.
"Wait...so you're saying you had this technology the whole time? Why not release it?" Mike asked.
"Well...there is still some tests that need to be done...and of course, I hope to release these to every household eventually." Mr. Wonka said.
"Hold on...if you can send Wonka bars to this television set...why don't you just send people?"
"People...I haven't thought of doing it...well, I mean it would be possible, but I think it best we sent chocolate."
"Oh, here we go again, saying that this doesn't help, or this thing isn't ready yet. Why do you always do this? All of you think he's a genius, but he's an idiot. Not using this technology makes him look stupid. But for me...I'm not dumb."
Mike suddenly rushed past Mr. Wonka and headed to the control panel. Two Oompa Loompa's were confused as to what was going on, but were pushed aside by Mike.
"Hey little boy...I wouldn't do that if I were you." Mr. Wonka said.
"And... here we go again." Yoshi said.
Mike didn't listen to what Mr. Wonka had to say, and pushed the red button on the panel and then jumped onto the white platform. Once he hit the platform, he began to rise in the air. He did not react at first, but then did a couple of poses in the air, and waved to his father. Mr. Teavee was horrified at what he was looking at. Then, in an instant, Mike was gone in a flash of light. Everyone in the room seemed shocked at what they had just seen. But Yoshi rolled his eyes at this.
Really? Again? This is starting to get way too predictable...Wonka, it's obvious who is the next one out, even by your standards...just make it discrete so I can worry about winning or not.
"Where did he go?" Mr. Teavee asked.
"Oh, he's up their floating among the millions of pieces in the air. We should watch the screen to see if all of him makes it." Mr. Wonka said.
"What do you mean by 'if all of him makes it?'"
"Oh...sometimes not everything comes back."
Mr. Teavee eyes went wide, and everyone else crowded around the television screen to see what would happen. Sure enough, the channel had been changed to an Oompa Loompa doing a news broadcast, with Mike appearing soon after, but smaller than what he was on the platform. The channel then changed again into an chef making breakfast, two robots fighting one another in a ring, a shower being turned on, a rock group preforming, in which Mike was thrown around the area and him hitting the ground. He then went through the motions again, trying to avoid being crushed or hit by various objects in the television, before being slapped with a couple pieces of paper from the news reporter.
"Ewe, someone grab him." Mr. Wonka said.
Mr. Teavee took the lead and put his arm through the television screen to grab a miniature Mike, careful not to actually crush him under his fingers. He had shrunk to about a tenth from about what he was.
"Just put me back the way I was." Mike said, albite in a squeaky and tiny voice.
"How do we fix this?" Mr. Teavee asked.
"Well...if we consider all of the circumstances, then the best solution would be to stretch him. Which would mean going to the taffy puller." Mr. Wonka said.
"Taffy puller!"
"Yeah, well, go on. Go right ahead."
Mr. Teavee looked at Mr. Wonka as if he were nuts, but he followed the Oompa Loompa while carrying tiny Mike. Mr. Wonka then looked at the remaining kids, and was glad that these five kids were the last ones left. They were the nicest of the bunch, but he still knew that he needed to whittle down the rest of the kids to have his winner come out on top.
Violet and Yoshi both looked over at Charlie, Wendy, and Sofia. They knew that those three were in the way of the two of them coming out on top. So, they would do anything to get them out.
And that is the end of this chapter. With half the field gone, one of the remaining five will come out on top. But who will do that? Anyways, see ya.
