The next morning, you go downstairs to find Sharon sitting at the table having breakfast with the other Avengers. 'What is she doing here?' You ask Steve. 'Wasn't yesterday enough drama for you bitch? Wanted to come back for round two? I've got a lot more energy today, I will fight you.' You grab a bowl of cereal and sit down opposite Sharon, glaring at her while you eat.
'Look, I'm not here to cause trouble Mia, I'm here to apologise to you. What I said last night was out of line and I don't know why I said it. I don't think you're lying about your pregnancy; I know there are women that get really sick when they're pregnant and then get better. I didn't mean to upset you and I'm sorry that I did.' Sharon's apology seems thinner than paper, but you are in no mood to argue this morning, so you accept it and move on.
Bucky squeezes your hand, and you smile at him slightly before going back to your food. 'So, what's everybody doing today? Anybody wanna go baby shopping?' You laugh at everyone's reactions, mostly groans from the men (mostly Tony, who knows he's the one paying for it) and squeals of excitement from the ladies. 'Great! Nat, Wanda, Hope! You're my baby squad. Let's go buy me some cute maternity clothes and our baby needs some adorable onesies as well.' You say with a smile. 'Boys, you can buy the big things for me if you like? We've got until three. Got another ultrasound then so I wanna be back in time for that.'
'Awesome, when are we leaving? Guessing after breakfast?' Hope asks you. 'Also, am I wearing heels or is this gonna be a sneakers thing? I've never been baby shopping; I don't know how much running around there's going to be.' She says giggling. 'I'm excited to find out though, with my future sister in law.' Hope moves her hair out her face with her left hand and flashes a ring on her finger.
'Oh my God wait what? Hope! When? How? What? Ahhh Hope I'm so happy for you!' You jump up and run to hug her. 'Tell me everything! How did my butthead of a brother do it? We can wait to go shopping; this is more exciting!' You are so excited you don't notice the boys slipping away, including Bucky. All the girls except for Sharon huddle round and listen to the engagement story.
'So, we were celebrating our anniversary, we'd gone out for dinner at that new steakhouse that opened up a few weeks ago. We were having such a great time, talking about how excited we were for you and Bucky to be starting your life together, and then out comes dessert. Scott wouldn't let me order the dessert, he said he'd heard the lava cake was good, so we were having that. Out comes this beautiful plate with this dessert that, not even kidding, looked like a work of art. Gold leaf, roses all over it, covered in cocoa powder… A little velvet box on top.' You all squeal and giggle at the mention of the little box. 'So, he started saying how much he loved me and how he realised the moment he found out about you're engagement, he realised he wanted that with me. He took the box, kneeled on the floor in front of me, nearly ripped his pants' she giggles 'and he asked me to marry him. I didn't even hear what he said until the end, I was in shock. But I said yes and the whole restaurant cheered for us.' You are in tears at this point and hug your future sister in law.
'Oh, Hope I'm so happy for you! This changes everything! We're not going baby shopping; we're throwing an engagement party for you two! TONY!' He comes back in the room. 'We're throwing a party for these two! Will still be going shopping but for cute outfits for all of us. You're in charge of actually throwing the party, leave the rest to me. It's gonna be tonight after our ultrasound. Got that? And somebody bring my big brother in here so I can give him a hug!' You get up slowly and walk towards Tony. 'I trust you're comfortable with throwing a party Tony? I'll get the happy couple to create the guest list, it's up to you to invite them.' You say with a smile. Scott walks in and you run to him and hug him so hard you think you might break him. 'Eeeeek Scotty I'm so proud of you! I'll get you something handsome to wear tonight. Ugh I love you big bro! Right girls, let's get ready for shopping!' You all go to your rooms and start to get ready. Bucky walks in with a smile on his face. 'What?' You ask.
'Nothing, it's just really good to see you happy and excited again. I haven't seen your beautiful excitement smile since we found out we were having our baby. God you're so beautiful. Want me to come shopping with you? I can be your personal chauffeur?' Bucky asks you with a smile.
'No that's ok my love, Nat is driving. But thanks for the offer. I'll make sure to get you something for tonight. And maybe a little something for the both of us tonight.' You wink at him and giggle. 'If you're nice to me of course.'
Bucky laughs at you. 'Hey, I'm always nice to you doll. Hey sweetheart, can I ask you a favour? Can you bring Sharon along with you? I think she really wants to apologise, and she looked like she felt left out while you girls were talking about how Scott proposed.'
'So? After what she said to me, she's lucky she's even allowed back here. I will let her come because you asked me so nicely, but one shitty comment and she will be left on a street corner. Agreed?' Bucky nods. 'Good. Now what should I wear? Everything I own that fits me isn't suitable for day wear anymore. Even the dress Nat got me for when you proposed is too small for me. I wouldn't be surprised if Doctor Twohigg said there's twins inside there, I'm growing so fast.'
'Oh, wow that would be another surprise we would have to be ready for. Whatever happens we'll get through it. Just put on clean sweatpants and your Nightmare Before Christmas shirt. It still fits you and its your favourite.' Bucky kisses you before leaving the room to let you get ready. 'I love you doll, never forget that.'
