A week later at your gender reveal

You and Bucky have decided to have a joint twin pregnancy reveal and gender reveal party. Your idea for both reveals is a cake, the top tier will say 'baby A' and the bottom 'baby B' with the reveal of the wording just before the cutting of the cake. The afternoon starts out like a normal gender reveal party, with games and food.

'Before we cut the cake and reveal the gender, I would like to say something on behalf of Mia and I. Thank you to everyone that has been there for us through all the bad times in this pregnancy as well as the good times. More good times lately, and there is more good to come for our little family. So, without any ado, let's cut the cake.' Bucky starts to turn the cake around so everybody can see the lettering on it.

'NO WAY!' Scott realises what it says and gets excited and shocked at the same time. 'You're having two babies? Amelia Kathryn Lang how did you keep this a secret from your own big brother?' Everybody gathers round and hugs you both, offering congratulations and smiles. 'Thank you, guys, we found out at the same time as we found out the genders and we were searching for ways to tell you all without just blurting it out over dinner. Yes, we are having twins. James and I are very excited and even more so when you find out the colours of the cake.' You grab the knife with Bucky and slowly begin to cut the first tier. It is bright pink, which makes everyone excited. Mostly Cassie and the rest of the girls.

'YES, one more for team girl!' Nat and Wanda squeal. You laugh and begin to cut the second tier, another pink one, which excites them even more. 'Two girls! Mia! Congratulations girl! Two more female Avengers on the way!'

'Whoa wait a second, our girls aren't joining the team anytime soon. Let them be born and get training first! Then we'll talk, right Mia doll?' Bucky laughs happily. 'Our girls are first and foremost gonna be just that. Our girls. Our little princesses.' He pulls you in closer for a kiss, which everyone applauds, and you look at him like you are the only two people in the world.

You are approached by a vindictive looking Sharon. 'Congrats.' She says sarcastically. 'Now you're having two new rugrats to love, you won't mind if I steal away your old love, right James?' She looks at Bucky seductively.

'First off, who invited you? Second, nobody but Mia calls me James. And third, I would never even spit in your direction so please leave me, my fiancé and our baby girls alone.' Bucky replies before grabbing your hand and pulling you towards Tony and Steve, who are sitting on a bench by the pool. 'Hey guys, who brought Sharon here? She upsets Mia and she's just not a very nice person. I know I can speak for the both of us when I ask for her to be removed please guys.' He asks. Steve nods at him before getting up to walk over to Sharon. He says something to her, and she leaves with a devious look on her face.

'James I'm a little tired and uncomfortable in this dress. I'm gonna go get changed and grab a drink on my way down. Want anything while I'm at the bar?' Bucky shakes his head and kisses you as you walk away towards the stairs. You head up towards your room and grab something to get changed into. Suddenly, there is a noise coming from behind the closed door, so you walk over after you get changed to check it out. 'Sharon, I know its you. What do you want? I really don't care what you have to say to scare me, just go away.' You grab the handle and turn it to open the door and reveal Sharon standing behind it. She jumps in your room, shuts the door behind her and pulls out a gun. 'What are you doing Sharon?'

'What does it look like? I've got a gun pointed at you so I can threaten you into breaking up with Bucky. Duh.' She laughs at you long enough to scare you and points the gun at your stomach. 'Now, which one of your precious babies should I kill first? Maybe this one.' She points at the left side of your stomach. 'Or this one.' The other side. 'Or… What about both? Break up with him. He should be mine. I love him more than you ever could, I would give him the world and I wouldn't soften his mind by making him think he wants to have babies.' Her voice starts to get louder, which causes tears to form in your eyes and before you know it there is a knock at your door. 'Find out who it is and get rid of them.' Sharon snarls at you.

You cross over to the door and open it a crack to see who's behind it. 'Are you ok Mia? I felt like something was wrong, so I came to check on you. Bucky is still downstairs, its just me.' Wanda is standing there with worry in her eyes, focused on the look on your face. 'You're crying, what's happened? Shall I get Bucky? Is it the babies?'

'No, it's fine Wanda, just feeling a little tired and emotional. Can you tell Bucky that I've gone to bed early please?' You look into Wanda's eyes, praying she hears your internal cry for help. She seems to understand and nods at you. 'Thanks sweetie, I'll see you in the morning.' You say, forcing a smile. 'Goodnight, thanks for helping us so much the past few days. It means a lot.' You smile at each other in understanding and shut the door. 'Ok she's gone, now what is your plan from here? If you hurt either, or both, of my babies Bucky will never forgive you and he will never want to be with you. If you hurt me, the same thing will happen only he will only ever see you as the girl who took his family away. I can only see this ending badly for you so what did you think was going to happen? So, you love him, great. I can see why, he's a wonderful, loving, funny, kind man. I also love him, and he loves me in return. Put the gun down Sharon, you don't want to do this.' Your voice gets more and more desperate as you go on. All of a sudden, Bucky, Tony, Steve and Wanda burst into the room, which surprises Sharon. She lets a shot off but is rushed by Tony. 'J-James.' You say weakly as you fall to the floor.
