Uzumaki Clan Village

The Land of Whirlpools wasn't as one would imagine from the name a single island but rather a small cluster of islands surrounding one large island, in-between these islands where the whirlpools that the area was famous for. It was the central island where the Uzumaki Clan made their home it was a nice tropical island surrounded by warm ocean currents and occasionally got cold winds from the ocean, the central island was split down the middle by a mountain, on one side the eastern half was a heavily forrested area and the other western half is where the Uzumaki had built their village it mainly comprised of tall spiral shaped buildings with the largest being where the Clan Head resided which is a huge tower emblazoned with the Uzumaki Clan Symbol in a rare red rock from off the islands.

Naruto jumped in the air dodging the kick that was coming for his face, but that was a mistake he was punished for as a fist struck out and smacked straight into his stomach sending him flying back skidding across the ground ripping up grass in the process. He looked angrily up at the man, his bright scarlet hair flashing in the sun, with violet eyes and dressed in a light blue kimono that was decorated with small red swirls the Uzumaki Clan symbol.

Naruto was dressed more simply, with blue sandals, black shorts and a dark blue shirt which of course had a giant red whirl on the back, the Uzumaki signature.

"Not good enough Naruto, you should have gained distance by leaping backwards out of my range and reevaluated your options." A harsh male voice scolded him.

"How am I supposed to know that if you don't tell me." Naruto shouted angrily back at him.

"You're slacking of on your studies again." He accused pointing angrily at the blonde haired boy. "Return to studying at the Clan library, we shall continue your Taijutsu training tomorrow." He commanded before turning on his heel and walking away.

Naruto slammed his hand into the ground in anger and let out a pained grunt as he slowly pulled himself to his feet standing up alone in the empty field, beaten, muddy and most of all embarrassed.

"Gotta get home." He said angrily and took off into trees in order to get back to the village.

If was a short run from the training ground where Naruto had his beating, to the outskirts of the Uzumaki Clan's Village which was on the eastern half of the island, the western half was mostly untamed with a forest as well as a few large lakes and a beach on the edge of the island, the Uzumaki's home was small but very well defended. Considering that pretty much every person on the island either is a Ninja or is a former Ninja so each person could defend themselves when needed, but what made Land of Whirlpools truly impenetrable was obviously the natural whirlpools that form between the islands created from the rivers of the mainland flowing into the ocean, and the Uzumaki would take inspiration from the area where they lived and created their Hiden Jutsu the Uzumaki Jutsu which they would use as a first line of defence, the second line was the numerous hidden outposts that were positioned on the smaller islands which would contain a full squad of Ninja, but that was mostly a smokescreen as the Uzumaki's hidden weapon was their extremely powerful Sensor-Nin who they had kept secret at all costs, let the rest of the world fear their Fuinjutsu and powerful Suiton Jutsu while they would never know about the Sensor Ninja who would pick up any infiltrator's and attack force sent by other clans.

This is Naruto's home the place where he was born and has never left in his 12 years of life so far, the village was more well off than most other Clans in the world since it was pretty isolated and full of Uzumaki Clansmen making it one of the safest places to live in the entire world.

It only took Naruto around 5 minutes to get home the house was tall like every other building in the Uzumaki Clan Village since they didn't have a lot of room width wise they had to build every building tall making it look like a village of spires, the largest was the Clan Head's building which is a huge tower that went high in the sky and emblazoned with a giant Uzumaki Clan Crest.

"I'm home." Naruto called out in the entryway kicking off his blue sandals.

"Welcome Home." A cheery female voice replied from the kitchen.

Naruto came in and sat down and began to sulk to himself frowning at the floor trying to burn a hole through with his glare.

The woman came out from the kitchen, she had of course the bright scarlet hair and bright violet eyes signature of the Uzumaki Clan, she was dressed modestly with black sandals, dark blue pants and a long sleeved white shirt, she had an apron over that which was white and spotless and of course it had the Uzumaki red whirl emblazoned on the front of it.

She is Uzumaki Chinami, Naruto's aunt sister to his own mother Uzumaki Kushina, she had married young and to another distant cousin in the Uzumaki Clan called Uzumaki Kai who was deployed on a mission at the moment.

"Oh, Naruto-Kun was Arashi-San being harsh again?" Chinami asked kindly as she sat next to him, and began to pat his head to comfort the young boy.

"He's an asshole." Naruto grunted out angrily.

Chinami pulled his ear for that one, "Naruto-Kun, that is not very nice Arashi-San does have your best interests at heart." She chided standing up and returning to the kitchen, "We're having Miso Ramen tonight." She called which made Naruto perk up, Miso Ramen is his favourite meal, he remembered when mum would make it for him.

There was a few minutes of silence as Naruto calmed down and just sat thinking but then his concentration was broken when the door opened and a loud voice rang out.

"I'm home." A cheerful voice called out.

"Welcome home." Chinami replied just as cheerfully.

And in walked his cousin Uzumaki Karin who was the same age of him, she had the same hair as her mother but with crimson eyes matching her hair, she was wearing the traditional outfit for Uzumaki Sensor-Nin a light blue battle kimono decorated in red swirls. Once she saw Naruto sitting looking down she smirked slightly at him.

"Well well if it isn't Naruto, did Arashi-San kick you around in the dirt again." She taunted him.

"Screw off Karin." Naruto replied right away, looking angry now.

"Well maybe if you were a better student he wouldn't have to spend so much time with you." Karin said to him in a factual manner.

Naruto didn't even reply to that, he just stood up and stormed up the stairs leaving Karin alone who sat down in his place.

"Karin." Chinami said angrily as she swatted her daughter's head.

"That was not a nice way to talk with your cousin." She scolded the young girl.

"But Mom he's so annoying, he doesn't read anything and Arashi-San is always talking about how disappointing he is as a student and he doesn't even look like us." Karin complained to her mother who's frown deepened with everything she said.

"Karin, Naruto has lost his mother and I lost my sister, he's still grieving for her just like I am, so just have patience and help him if he needs it, even though he has blonde hair he is still an Uzumaki just like Kushina was." Chinami explained gently.

"Okay." Karin said lowly hanging her head.

"Good, now we're having Miso Ramen today." Chinami smiled and stood up and went back to the kitchen.

Naruto went right to his bedroom and flopped down onto it, he stared at the wooden ceiling for a few moments before bringing his arm up and covered his eyes.

Naruto had heard what Karin had said to Aunt Chinami, and on some level she was right.

His Father was someone who Naruto had never met and only ever heard the occasional rumours about the famous Namikaze Minato, who had earned an S-Rank designation as well as being nicknamed the 'Yellow Flash' for his immense speed and recreating the late Senju Tobirama's Hiraishin Jutsu from mere fragments that he got after working with the Senju Clan itself one of the most powerful Clans in the world, his Father had got very famous after that and earned the ire of the Senju Clan as he had essentially stolen a Hiden Jutsu from the famous Clan, and yet he was still alive and free, his Mother had often talked about him and always looked starry eyed and happy, it was Minato's blonde hair and blue eyes that Naruto inherited making him stand out from the rest of the Uzumaki Clan and pretty much an outcast as a result.

His Mother had been a high ranked member of the Uzumaki Clan, she was well regarded due to her inheriting the unique Chakra of the Clan as well as being one of the best in Fuinjutsu, even her unique Ninjutsu despite not being orthodox was worthy of respect among the entire Clan, the main thing he had inherited from her was a large amount of Chakra.

Naruto knew deep down that the unskilled child born of skilled parents was true on some level since his Taijutsu was more like a brawler than the smooth flowing movements of the traditional Uzumaki Taijutsu. His Ninjutsu is his best subject he had mastered the use of all the basic Suiton Ninjutsu that was taught to every soon to be Uzumaki Ninja. His Genjutsu was non-existent, he could identify if he was caught in one and release himself from it but that was all he was capable of in regards to the art of illusions. His Fuinjutsu which was the pride of the Clan was merely average, he was not amazing at it like either of his parents but he wasn't terrible at it either merely average and normal.

He could understand why Arashi was so hard on him since two years ago his son had died on a mission outside of Land of Whirlpools and ever since the warm Arashi had become hard and cold, he was determined in not sending out any Uzumaki children without being prepared because of this attitude he was well regarded by the adults for his harsh training which churned out fully fledged Ninja but he was feared and sometimes even hated by his students for just what he made them do and how hard he would push them to do it, Arashi was a harsh man who expected perfection from his students and it showed in his results, his weaker students were given to other teachers in order to at least make them competent enough to live through more than one mission outside of the safety of the Land of Whirlpools.

Naruto really just wanted to sleep this year away, so far it's been nothing but horrible.

"Naruto, Dinner's Ready." Chinami called from downstairs.

Naruto let out a sigh, well at least there was still a few things too enjoy, Aunt Chinami's Ramen wasn't as good as his Moms but it was close enough, he stood up and trudged downstairs to eat the meal.

Next Day

Eastern Forest

Naruto had tried to stay in the library he honestly did but it was so boring reading about how the Uzumaki fought with 'grace' and 'precision' and to mimic the 'fluidity' of water with their bodies.

So instead he had looked around for any new Fuinjutsu which he was okay at and learned how to make his own Explosive Tags which was very cool to do, he would definitely have to practice that alone and probably away from anyone else. There was no new Ninjutsu that he could of learnt though most of the Ninjutsu in the Clan Library was just the basic stuff all the more advanced stuff was taught from Sensei to Student so he had no luck in that subject and obviously he didn't have any talent for Genjutsu so he didn't even bother to try.

After quickly exhausting his options at the library Naruto decided to practice his new knowledge of making things explode and went to the eastern half off the island for some privacy.

Naruto found a nice hidden clearing at the bottom of a large rare rock formation surrounded by trees, it was very small but there was a tree stump he could sit on and a lot of small rocks to experiment with his newly learned Explosive Seal.

He carefully traced out the seal onto a small rock being careful that no ink was running and that there was especially no crossed lines touching each other that would be really dangerous and probably blow off his hand and his arm if he pumped enough Chakra into it, Fuinjutsu was fun but very dangerous usually he was not allowed to practice it alone and should have had constant supervision while he was doing anything related to Fuinjutsu in order to avoid accidents but he was sick of everyone in the village at the minute so he'd just have to take that risk.

"Yeah that looks good." He said to himself looking over the completed Explosion Seal nodding his head.

He didn't create a full blown Explosive Seal rather he did a weaker version which had not even a 1/10 of the power of a normal Explosive Tag that the Uzumaki Clan produced in the hundreds each day, some of them were sold to other Clans most are stockpiled just in case and the rest are distributed between all the Clan members.

Naruto gathered some Chakra into his finger and pressed it to the seal of the rock and infused the Chakra into it causing the black seal to softly glow blue as the Chakra flowed into it and began to activate the seal.

Then it started to crackle and hiss, it was at that moment Naruto realised he messed up and evenn worse he knew what he did wrong, he had put to much Chakra into the seal even though it was a tiny amount the seal he had created could not take even that much without becoming unstable so Naruto solved the problem in the best way he knew and promptly threw the hissing rock at the rock face that was near him.

It exploded with more force than what he was expecting, the force of the explosion blew him of his feet and sent him over the tree stump were he was sitting to write the seal.

"Ow damn it that sucked." Naruto complained as he stood back up brushing dirt and debris of himself.

"Oh shit." He gaped at the now huge hole in the giant rock formation he threw his own exploding rock at, it had created a giant hole that looked like cave.

"Wait a minute that is a cave." Naruto exclaimed aloud to no one but himself.

It seemed like someone had used a Doton Jutsu to cover the front of the cave in order to hide it, now Naruto's curiosity got the better of him and he had to see what was inside now.

So he went inside the dark cave, there wasn't much to see at the entrance just the typical cave that could be found on some of the islands within the Land of Whirlpools.

But as he ventured deeper the natural rocky surface gave way to smooth polished rock which meant that it was not naturally occurring someone had made this cave with Doton Ninjutsu. Naruto knew that he should have gone back the village and told someone, he knew that it could be dangerous the worst case would be that it's a hidden base from an enemy Clan which would definitely get him killed.

He went further and further in and just when it got too dark for him to see the cave itself began to light up, Naruto realised to late that the entire cave was covered in Fuinjutsu because it was so dark and the Seals themselves seemed to react to his presence and the walls started to glow softly filling the dark cave with light and it seemed to guide him forwards as when he got past certain points in the cave the lights behind him would go off.

"What the hell is that?" Naruto asked himself as he came to the end of the cave.

It was a giant door made of steel from what Naruto could tell, the steel itself seemed rusted and gave it a red colour which was fitting because of where it was.

"How the hell do I open something like that." Naruto scratched his head, and began to pace back and forth in front of the red door.

"Maybe give it a push." Naruto concluded even though he obviously did not have the strength to make it even budge.

Naruto went up to it and pushed on it with both of his hands trying to open both doors but it was useless, "GRAH!" Naruto shouted out pushing as hard as he could closing his eyes in exertion, then he had an idea and began to pump his Chakra into his arms to increase his strength.

"Oh that's can't be good." Naruto commented when he opened his eyes and saw the door begin to glow as the Seals obviously put on the door lit up blue, Naruto quickly stopped pushing and stepped back from the door as it began to hum, he could see the Chakra course through the door and hit each different sealing array like locks being undone with a dull thudding click.

Then the doors began to screech loudly as they opened up, both huge steel slabs dragged across the ground, the doors swung slowly inwards and revealed an actual corridor looking like a building rather than a cave.

"Is this a secret base or something." Naruto questioned as he looked at the doors and the sharp change from cave to building, "Well might as well finish exploring." He said to himself with shrug of his shoulders.

Naruto walked into the corridor and almost jumped when all the lights went on suddenly and lit it up, the corridor was plain and unadorned apart from the lights on the walls, it was entirely white but he could see lights at the end so this corridor wasn't as long as the cave before it.

He quickly made his way down the corridor and came out into a huge laboratory which was filled with jars and other weird equipment that Naruto had no clue about, but what drew his eyes was a huge container at the opposite end from where he entered which had tubes coming out of it and down into a huge chair and then Naruto realised there was someone sitting in it, they looked extremely thin and had bone white sickly looking hair and their eyes closed pretty much a corpse.

"So you have finally found your way here young Uzumaki." A extremely raspy voice rang our echoing in the lab, it sounded to Naruto like the person hadn't spoke in years.

And then the corpse opened it's eyes to reveal a starting dark purple eye colour, "Come let me see you." He half commanded half asked.

Naruto jumped down from where he was and approached the obviously ancient man, as Naruto got closer he could see that whatever was in that container is plugged directly into his back feeding some red liquid into him, Naruto really hoped it wasn't blood.

"Ah you are an Uzumaki but you lack the hair colour, how unusual normally the red hair gene is dominant in regards to inheritance." He said to himself more than Naruto, looking over him with a critical eye.

"Yeah I haven't heard that one before." Naruto bit out annoyed.

"You take it as an insult you should not, change is a good thing even among the insular Ninja Clans." He exposed as his ancient face broke into a sickly grin.

"Who are you?" Naruto asked in a straightforward manner like he usually would.

"I am one of your kinsmen, Uzumaki Hiruko though I like you was born different." He introduced himself still remaining completely still only his mouth and eyes really moving.

"I've never heard of you." Naruto said to himself, he really hadn't heard of any ancestors or missing grandparents named Hiruko, hell he hadn't even heard of anyone in the clan with the name Hiruko at all.

"Of course you wouldn't have, I left behind no descendants or legacy for the Clan, I said I was born different do you know what that difference is?" He said with a dusty chuckle.

"No." He answered shortly.

"I was born with a weak body and Chakra, an exceptionally rare occurrence for our clan whose ancestor is Kushinadahime." He explained looking a strange mix between angry, sad and regretful.

"Kushinadahime?" Naruto said with an up tilt at the end of his sentence, that sounded similar to his mum's name but sounded older he had never heard who exactly founded their Clan that was for the Clan Historians to know.

"Oh they do not even tell you that now, hah fool." He said bitterly, "Kushinadahime was the daughter of the Sage of the Six Paths, his only daughter, while his two sons fought over inheritance and ideals his daughter saw their folly and instead came here to the Land of Whirlpools and founded her own Clan away from the fighting brothers and maintained neutrality between matters of her family." Hiruko explained to him, Naruto gaped at the man he had never heard that kind of story before.

"Wow." Was all he could say dumbly.

"Indeed." Hiruko agreed with him.

"So why are you here, I mean even if you were born weaker than everyone else, you could have joined the historians or even the Fuinjutsu Development Team?" The young blonde asked with a confused frown.

"I did do exactly that, the historians was were I learned the truth and it was in the Fuinjutsu Development Team that I created my only Jutsu." Hiruko answered simply.

"Oh, What is it?" Naruto was curious now.

"The Chimera Jutsu." The old man answered in a short manner.

Naruto had never heard of that even in the whispers he sometimes got floating down from the top echelons of the Uzumaki Clan.

"Now my turn for questions young one, what is your name and how did you find this place?" He questioned.

"Well I'm Uzumaki Naruto and I found this place after accidentality blowing up the entrance because I was messing about with the Explosive Seal." Naruto explained slightly embarrassed scratching his head.

"I see." Hiruko said lowly and seemed to go into thought.

Naruto stood awkwardly as he watched the ancient man seem to debate with himself, mumbling far too lowly for Naruto to catch anything.

"Well I suppose it's time." He finally said aloud which Naruto caught.

"Uzumaki Naruto come here." He commanded and lifted up one of his ancient hands.

Naruto really didn't want to but did so anyway and lifted up his right arm and placed it on the open hand, Hiruko tightened his grip and Naruto could feel the man's Chakra run up his arm and spread throughout his body.

"Ow." Naruto let out a small grunt of pain which flashed through his body very quickly.

"Ah I see." Hiruko muttered and let go, Naruto immediately brought his arm back and held it to his chest.

"What the hell was that?" Naruto near shouted indignant.

"I was scanning your body, I wished to gain an understanding on your abilities, stamina and of course Chakra." Hiruko explained with a strange gleam in his eyes now.

"You have an exceptionally resilient body and very strong Chakra despite being so young, indeed I would say that you are a near perfect example of what the Uzumaki Clan could be." Hiruko said eyes alight and a very upbeat tone in his voice.

"Okay..." Naruto mumbled now he was right back to being scared and confused.

"I will tell you about the Chimera Jutsu." Hiruko revealed.

"What why, after you acted so weird and avoided talking about it." Naruto demanded an explanation.

"Because the Chimera Jutsu requires the user be strong in body and Chakra, my state now is the result of using it with a weak body but you on the other hand could master and complete it." Hiruko revealed smiling.

Naruto was gobsmacked at that announcement, this old man was dead and seemed to require strange medical machines to stay alive and that was because of his Jutsu.

"The Chimera Jutsu operates on a simple principle; to take anything beneficial and fuse it with your body, it is the answer I reached after despairing about my weakness and lack of unique factors, this Ninjutsu is the ultimate fusion of Fuinjutsu, Medical Jutsu and of course Regeneration Jutsu. It is a Kinjutsu of the highest order when I revealed it to the Clan Head all those years ago he called me a monster and forbid me from ever using it." Hiruko ranted.

"Woah." Naruto said aloud shocked, that was a lot to take in this dude invented a Jutsu so powerful that it had been forbidden from what Naruto had learned there were only a few Kinjutsu actually in the world, the most famous being Senju Tobirama's Edo Tensei which was reviled all over the world and the Senju were forced to seal it away after multiple Clans over the world threatened to destroy them if they continued to use it.

"My Chimera Jutsu was created in order to give me Chakra and uniqueness, as such the main effect of the Jutsu is the complete absorption of a person's Chakra and taking their Kekkei Genkai." Hiruko explained grandly lifting his withered arms up in exultation.

"You can steal Kekkei Genkai!" Naruto shouted in absolute shock.

"Oh yes young Naruto my Chimera Jutsu absorbs a person's Kekkei Genkai and also absorbs their Chakra and adds it to your own capacity, it is the ultimate strengthening Jutsu unsurpassed in any way." Hiruko boasted bringing his arms back down.

"With your body I have no doubt you would be able to complete the Jutsu and take in 5 Kekkei Genkai, unlike my weak body it could only handle a single Kekkei Genkai and the Chakra I absorbed crippled me." Hiruko told the young boy.

"5." Naruto said dully like all his surprise had left his body.

"Indeed, I only managed to absorb the Jinton (Swift Release) and it near killed me to do so and left me in this wretched state." He said bitterly looking disgusted at the machine above him.

"So if it let's you absorb good things why didn't you use it on me and get a strong body?" Naruto asked with a confused frown.

"Hahahaha," Hiruko laughed before descending into a coughing fit, "I cannot it would kill both of us, I am too old and too weak to even attempt such a thing, there would be no point." Hiruko explained as he managed to get his coughing fit under control.

"And now you want me to learn it." Naruto said skeptically.

"Yes, you shall be my legacy upon the world. I shall teach you the Chimera Jutsu and you should go out into the world and complete your body it it's maximum potential, after all you have the ability to take in 5 Kekkei Genkai which would no doubt make you if not the strongest in the world at least one of them, having access to all 5 basic Nature Transformations as well as the Kekkei Genkai themselves will make you dangerous to anyone." Hiruko said trying to bait the boy into taking the offer.

"Woah." He muttered, eyes far away as he thought of the possibilities.

"Indeed, this will be the Jutsu that will take you to the heights of being a Ninja." Hiruko said gently.

"Okay I'll do it." Naruto decided, he'd been the laughing stock of the Uzumaki Clan for far too long, he gotten sick of the unimpressive child of impressive parents that a lot of people said behind his back, no more he'd be better than all of them.

"Fantastic!" Hiruko exclaimed and sat up straight from his slouched position.

"The Chimera Jutsu was difficult to create due to the complexity required but since I've had about 40 years to think about it and how to refine it, I should be able to teach it too you in around a month." Hiruko explained.

"What that's a long-time for a single Jutsu." Naruto complained.

"This is an S-Ranked Kinjutsu that was created from the knowledge of 3 different Ninja disciplines, of course it will take time to learn and master." Hiruko scolded the sulking young boy.

"Well we might as well get started now then." Naruto said resigned to his fate for the foreseeable future.

"Well now the Chimera Jutsu involved inscribing your own body with Fuinjutsu, this is to streamline the entire process and avoid a time wasting ritual, here is the what you need to learn and perfect." Hiruko explained and he unsealed a scroll from his own skin, it appeared in the palm of his hand.

"Okay so this is step 1, what happens next?" Naruto took the scroll and began to read it over.

"The next step would be going over the Hand-Seal sequence and then of course practicing the Jutsu without true activation as the Chimera Jutsu activates in stages." Hiruko explained watching Naruto read the scroll with a smirk on his ancient face.

"So what are these stages then?" Naruto continued prodding for information paying half attention while most of it was on the scroll.

"Stage 1 is scanning, the person's body is scanned and the information is fed directly too you through the Fuinjutsu on your body, Stage 2 is the absorption of Chakra you literally drain the entire body of it's Chakra, this process destroys the victims Chakra Coils and Chakra Circulatory System, the 3rd and final stage is the absorption of the DNA and Genes needed in order to use the Kekkei Genkai after than the victim's body is destroyed completely in the process, it decomposes at an extreme rate." Hiruko expounded proudly puffing his thin chest out.

"What that's dark and really weird." Naruto seemed to realise just what Hiruko was telling him.

"Not really there is no ingestion of material's it's done purely through Fuinjutsu which is made up of my knowledge of Medical-Ninjutsu, I told you this is a complex technique and creating it required a massive amount of knowledge across a broad range of subjects, the Chimera Jutsu is the most distilled and pure that I could have made it, there is no complete absorption of the body like there was when I first created it, now it only requires physical contact with a body that has Chakra within it." Hiruko scoffed at Naruto's discomfort.

"Wait does that mean I can use it on a dead body?" Naruto questioned with a small frown.

"Only one that has recently died and still has Chakra within the body, when a person dies their Chakra basically evaporates into thin air after death, I estimate that the Chimera Jutsu would have to be used within an hour of the person dying." Hiruko answered simply.

"Gross." Naruto commented childishly.

"This is the world we live in, and no matter what we have to make the best of what we are born with, this is my solution because in this world of Ninja power is everything without power you cannot protect anything let alone your life." Hiruko said with passion.

So Naruto went about studying the scroll in detail and asking Hiruko for details occasionally this was how he spent the rest of his day right up until Hiruko said to him that it was dark outside and he should head back to the village.

Naruto trudged back to the village, he was very tired physically and mentally, Hiruko was not a forgiving Teacher he demanded perfection from Naruto and had him read the scroll and practised the Fuinjutsu over and over again, his wrist is aching from the massive amount of writing practice he had to do, the Fuinjutsu used in the Chimera Jutsu was completely unlike any other Seal he had ever seen, it was massively compressed and as a result was extremely intricate and had to be done perfectly or else the Jutsu would at best fail or at worst go very wrong, Hiruko had said that it would be better to die than to live with the results of a failed Chimera Jutsu.

Naruto sighed and kicked a pebble on the rough footpath he was travelling up, then his senses screamed at him and he spun around with a punch that was easily caught and his arm was wrenched up nearly making him scream.

"Naruto!." The voice said in shock obviously male, "You're alive." He continued on still shocked and not letting go of the boy.

"Yeah it's me, what's wrong with you." Naruto shouted as he struggled to get out of the man's grip.

"We thought you'd died or been taken by another Clan." The man explained and let go of his arm.

Naruto brought his arm to his chest and rubbed it, grimacing in pain, "Why the hell would you think that."

"We need to take him to Shingen-Sama." Another said walking up behind Naruto who turned his head to see who it was.

Naruto recognised every man here, Kenryu, Souta and Youta they are apart of one of the many defensive teams stationed on the island they called home.

"What's wrong with everyone, why'd I have to see the Clan Head." Naruto complained as he kept rubbing his throbbing arm.

"We need to go now." Youta said lowly as his eyes scanned from left to right constantly.

Kenryu and Souta grabbed onto one of Naruto's arms and made a single Hand-Seal for the Shunshin and then the world blurred together.

Uzumaki Head Tower

Naruto was roughly forced into the Clan Head's main office, it was extremely well decorated and showed the true wealth of the relatively small Clan, tapestries of past Uzumaki Leaders as well as paintings of the great battles the Clan had won and of course a set of dyed red steel samurai armour that the one of the earliest Head's personal armament which was probably worth more than anything else on the island.

"Uzumaki Naruto." The dark foreboding voice of Uzumaki Shingen rang out in the well lit office.

Uzumaki Shingen was a true rarity in the Ninja World, an old Ninja, a grandfather the famous bright scarlet hair had streaks of white through it even though his face was still relatively young, looking like a man in his 40s rather than the 80 year old man he was. Clad in a bright scarlet kimono which was of course decorated with their Clan symbol, it was one of the oldest relics in the Uzumaki Clan supposedly it was what their founder wore when they arrived on the island, Naruto now knew that it was a women's kimono since it was Kushinadahime who founded the Uzumaki.

And of course next to him was the next leader of the Clan, Uzumaki Nagato a man in his 30s who looked 20 he was clad in a simple black kimono and of course peering out from his bangs were the famous and mythical Rinnegan, they seemed to emit a dull grey glow from his place in the dark of the office.

"Shingen-Sama." Naruto greeted the old man bowing low at the waist.

"Rise and explain yourself." He demanded the young boy.

"I- I don't know what you mean." He answered with a slight stutter looking truly nervous now.

"You went missing after leaving the library, last seen exiting the village going into the eastern forest, then after leaving there was a pulse of Chakra released over the island that was picked up by every Sensor-Nin in the village, so I order you to tell me what did you do, what happened?" Shingen was merciless in his questioning and his tone was harsh.

"I just went out to practice in the forest, I don't know anything about a Chakra pulse." Naruto exclaimed loudly and quickly.

"Do not lie to me boy, Arashi had ordered you to practice Taijutsu but you were seen in the Fuinjutsu section of the library." Shingen shot down any excuse Naruto sent his way ruthlessly.

"I learned about the Explosive Seal and went it the forest to practice it, I was drawing it on rocks and throwing them to blow them up." Naruto said slower and much quieter this time.

Shingen's white eyebrow raised and his expression seemed to loosen slightly as if he was just told something extremely stupid, "So you a mediocre practitioner of Fuinjutsu learned a Seal above your level and then went out to practice in secret."

"Yes." Naruto confirmed hanging his head.

"A clear and blatant violation of the rules." Shingen said to himself though it was said rather loudly.

"Shingen-Sama." A soft voice spoke up, and Naruto looked up to see Nagato had stepped forward now, "Naruto-Kun here is young and brash perhaps a small punishment is due and a harsh reprimand." He offered to the old man.

Shingen regarded the suggestion with a nod and debated with himself for a few moments before speaking up, "Very well, you are the future of the Clan, Nagato I shall leave it to you." He announced with finality.

"Come Naruto-Kun." Nagato ordered the blonde boy as he walked past him.

Naruto followed silently, they left the room with door shutting with a dull thud, they went into the hallway and walked in complete silence, it was only when they left the building into the empty streets that Nagato finally spoke.

"Naruto-Kun you really shouldn't do things like this, it causes problems for more than just you." Nagato scolded gently coming to a stop and turning to face him.

"I know but sometimes..." Naruto trailed off uncertainly, unable to look Nagato in the eye.

"Sometimes you just want to run away and have time alone." Nagato finished the sentence and had a kind smile on his face.

Naruto just nodded.

"I know how you feel Naruto but this is the world we live in, the Clan must come first especially it's defence. So all you have to do is the best you can." He explained gently.

"It shouldn't be." He responded petulantly.

"I know." Nagato agreed nodding sadly.

"Well Take this as your reprimand and your punishment shall be cleaning duty for the week, no training until you finish cleaning." Nagato said to the boy.

Naruto just nodded and began to run home, "Thanks Nagato-Sama." He said as he went.

Nagato watched as the blonde child ran off into the darkness of night with a sad smile on his face, 'In another world...' He thought to himself.

Nagato turned and went back the large spire that he now called home, the night was cold and empty and he felt a dread seep into his bones with the cold night wind.

"Something's coming." He muttered to himself as he went home.

Well this is Chapter 1 of Naruto the Chimera, this is a combination of two seperate Ideas I've had for fanfics for years, the first is having Naruto use the Chimera Jutsu to get multiple Kekkei Genkai and the second is having a story set in an AU where the Hidden Village System never happened.

This actually works the best for this story since I couldn't figure out a way for a Konoha Ninja Naruto to go around the world and taking other people's Kekkei Genkai. Of course it also makes the story more fun and unpredictable since there is now no Canon to follow or adapt.

I should say as well that this story was inspired by two others on this website the first would be Naruto Makaze: Birth of a Legend by djghostwriter18 and Naruto: Great Clan Days by Kenchi618. Both are great stories that you should read. (Though Naruto Makaze is a bit dated now, I still really like it and the ideas present within)
