Author's Note: And here's stage two! We are getting pretty close to Sanae finally meeting the SDM residents for the first time! There's also a humorous reference to baka's most prominent weakness in easy mode of Touhou 6 in this chapter. Without further ado, please enjoy the chapter.

Sanae, after the delay, finally arrived at the Misty Lake.

However, she wasn't exactly thrilled to find out that because of the combination of the both mists, red one and regular one, it was impossible to see anything in front of you.

The wind priestess recalled that she also could investigate the mansion, it would be the best shot for now, since investigating the lake in this mist would be like finding a needle in a haystack.

The mansion was to the east of the Misty Lake, so since she came from the Youkai Mountain, she should head west.

And so she did. She wasn't also thrilled to learn that a ton of fairies gathered here, so she once again had to fight through swarms of fairies. This time they weren't that much of a pushover, they did have more complex patterns of danmaku than previous ones. It didn't also help that her visibility was severely limited.

But she managed somehow to get through that hell without getting hit by anything, she was also challenged by some kind of green fairy during her flight.

She was much stronger than a regular fairy, but still a fairy is a fairy, they aren't that much of fighters in general.

Finally, she could see the horizon in the distance, she just had to push a bit more, and she would arrive at her destination.

When suddenly an icicle flew past her.

It was extremely close, if she wouldn't dodge it at the last moment she would have been impaled by it.

She turned around and saw ice fairy, floating in the air, a small distance from her.

She had aqua-colored eyes and hair. Furthermore, she was wearing a blue ribbon, light pink blouse, blue jumper dress. She also had icicle-shaped wings.

She had hands on her hips, she looked irritated.

-You! Human! Why are you here?

-Um, I'm just passing through? Is that disallowed here?

-It is! You tried to run away from the fight with the strongest fairy!

-Erm, and who is that "the strongest fairy?"

The ice fairy pointed at herself.

-Me, of course!

-Really? You don't look the part, though.

The fairy was fuming at this.

-How dare you think of me as weak! I will show you, just how strong I am!

The ice fairy then declared her spell card Ice Sign "Icicle Fall"

The danmaku started forming and falling on Sanae like a snowstorm.

The wind priestess, however, did the unthinkable.

She just floated straight to the front of the ice fairy.

The danmaku kept completely missing her.

The ice fairy was completely baffled.

-Why did you move right in front of me!?

Sanae scratched the back of her head and smiled sheepishly.

-Ahaha, I thought that this spot would be good for dodging, and turns out, I was right. Your spell card has a dead spot right in front of you. The bullets never travel through that spot.

The ice fairy then pouted and dissolved her spell card.

-No, it doesn't! I just took a pity on you because you seemed weak!

-Um, I'm thankful that you took pity on me, I guess?

The ice fairy once again put her hands on her hips and puffed her chest in pride.

-You better be! I won't be that merciful next time! Alright, then it's your turn! Declare the strongest spell card you have! I will show you how strong I am at dodging!

The wind priestess was baffled at this.

-Are you absolutely sure about this?

The ice fairy nodded.

-One hundred percent! Throw it at me!

The wind priestess slowly nodded.

-Okaaaaaay. Just don't say that I didn't warn you.

Sanae concentrated and declared her spell card Great Miracle "Yasaka's Divine Wind"

The danmaku flew everywhere from the wind priestess at extremely high speed.

The ice fairy's face of confidence quickly turned into a face of distress at sight of this, she didn't have even chance to dodge any single bullet.

She just disappeared in a pichuun explosion.

Sanae dissolved her spell card, she felt bad for the fairy, but then again, she warned her.

Well, at least fairies don't die permanently, just need time to regenerate.

The wind priestess decided to continue ahead, she hoped that she would find some clues in the mansion on the horizon.
