Chapter Ten

Kurt was even more riled up when they returned to the theater for the adult show. He'd managed to get through the family show just fine, but he was concerned that he was not going to be able to focus. So much so that he even considered asking Elliott to fill in for him so he could have the night off, but decided against it. The adult only show was the only time in public he was able to flirt with Blaine because it was part of the act.

"Are you okay?" Blaine whispered to him when the two of them were alone backstage, prepping for the start of the show.

The blue eyed man knew better than to lie. The magician would see right through it. He shook his head. "No," he said honestly. "It bothers me that no one else said something about that tweet. Do you think they all misread it as not having any weight?"

Blaine sighed. "I honestly don't know. But I think it's more likely that a lot of people just missed it. You know how fast those tweets fly out after shows."

Kurt let out a snort. "Why do you think I call it the after show chat stream?"

"Do you want to take this show off?" Blaine asked gently. Kurt shook his head.

"I thought about it, but no. Elliott is the only other person who knows about that delivery this morning and I don't want the others asking questions right now. Besides, it's the only time I get to act like your boyfriend in public."

Blaine couldn't help but smile at those last words. Not wanting anyone to come by and see them hugging when they were supposed to hate each other, he opted to reach out and squeeze Kurt's hand.

"It's going to be okay, Kurt," he said. "I promise."

"I hope so. In the meantime, I think maybe I should stay off of social media."

"Maybe we should all stay off social media for a while. At least our public accounts," Blaine said. Kurt shook his head.

"I think we need to have Wes and the lawyers at least keeping an eye on the stream just in case."

"If DisillusionBlackwell666 is smart enough, they'll stop threatening by tweet when they see we aren't posting," Blaine said.

"Maybe," Kurt said. He picked up his cell phone, which was sitting on the prop table they were standing beside. "You better go get into place, honey. We're about to start and well, the entry won't go so well if there's no magician to appear."

Blaine chuckled. "We'll just say I made myself disappear."

Kurt playfully rolled his eyes. "Have a good show." Blaine started to head off to get into position. "And Blackwell?" The curly haired magician looked back over his shoulder. "I hate you."

Blaine grinned. "I hate you too." He walked away towards the stage.

The show had been going a lot smoother than Kurt had anticipated, and he got into position for his next performance as the curtains opened to reveal Blaine and Quinn centerstage, dressed like they were going to the beach. The set showed sort of the back wall of a building, like they were in a back door alley. There was a dumpster and what looked like pieces of old store mannequins lying about, an arm sticking out of the dumpster.

Music started and Blaine and Quinn danced around each other for a moment before he grabbed her by the wrist and made a show of telling her something. Quinn's delighted expression changed to one of anger and she stage-slapped him before turning in a huff and marching off the stage.

Blaine fell into a sad puppy pout expression and the audience let out ahs. He looked around, before putting up a finger like he had an idea.

The magician made his way over to the dumpster and pulled on the arm, and an entire mannequin was lifted out. It looked a bit worn but still good. He danced with the mannequin, causing the audience to laugh.

Blaine elapsed into a silly kind of waltz before he stood the mannequin up on the stage and appraised it for a moment. It was male and it was...a very detailed, but very naked mannequin. The magician looked at the audience and raised his eyebrows suggestively, making them laugh again.

He danced over to the beach bag he'd been carrying and made a show of digging around inside it, before he produced a pair of tight black swim shorts. He danced back over to the mannequin and carefully slid the garment onto it. He looked around again before another idea struck him and he ran offstage, returning a moment later pulling out a bench that was draped with a curtain.

Blaine picked up the mannequin once more and stood it on top of the bench. He stood back to admire it, the tight black swim shorts hugging the mannequin's physique just right. And again, he raised his eyebrows suggestively.

And then the magician took a step back and put his hands out, raising them into the air. The curtain on the bench rose, hiding the mannequin from view. He only waited a moment for suspense and then reached his hand out and yanked the curtain down. Now, instead of the mannequin, Kurt stood there in the exact same pose, wearing those tight swim shorts and nothing else.

The audience applauded and Blaine wrapped his arms around Kurt's waist and lifted him off the bench, spinning in a circle and lowering him to the stage floor. Kurt's eyes were locked on his and he raised a hand to slide down the magician's cheek. Blaine felt the fire in his body and that all too familiar urge to kiss this beautiful man on stage was there, but then, Kurt danced away from him.

As Kurt danced in a contemporary yet seductive fashion, Blaine again ran offstage. He returned, rolling out a high, wide platform and a stagehand followed with a set of steps. Blaine made his way back over to Kurt, offering his hand and gesturing up the steps.

The assistant glanced from the magician's hand to the steps, and back again, before he slid his hand into Blaine's and allowed himself to be pulled up the steps.

The music churned in a passionate beat as they danced together on the platform, Kurt showing off his incredible flexibility as he made shows of bending back and wrapping his leg around the magician's. Their faces came dangerously close to kissing several times until Blaine, waved his hand over Kurt's face and the assistant went limp with feigned sleep.

Blaine scooped him up and laid him down on the platform. He then placed his hands above Kurt and raised them up. Slowly, Kurt was pushed up from the platform on rising spouts of water and the audience applauded and cheered.

The passion in the music rose as flame jets burst on the corners of the platform and Blaine continued to wave his hands over Kurt's body. The water rose and lowered until the magician stopped manipulating it about the height of his waist.

He bent over, waving his hand over Kurt's face again and the assistant opened his eyes, seeing how close the magician was to him. He stretched his leg and arched his back just a bit, moving in the water he was floating on. Blaine's eyes remained on his, the fire in them stronger than ever before and their faces became impossibly close. But the magician managed to refrain from what he truly wanted to do. Adult only show or not, physically kissing his assistants was not part of the choreography.

Instead, he pulled back a little, sliding his hand from the side of Kurt's face, slowly down the assistant's body and it was a testament to Kurt's acting skills that he didn't shudder or let the moan in the back of his throat come out. Blaine's hand came dangerously close to his most intimate body parts as it slid down his body.

A stagehand appeared, handing Blaine a large silver hoop, which he used to pass over Kurt's body, the metal temporarily breaking through the jets of water. He handed the hoop back to the stagehand and then raised his hands back above Kurt and made a swirling motion. The assistant's body wrapped tightly around Blaine as it moved in a small semi-circle and back again.

Once more, Blaine leaned in close, hand resting on Kurt's cheek. After another moment of staring, he waved his hand over his face and Kurt went back into the trance once more. Blaine stood above him and used his hands to lower the jets all the way back to the platform, before waking Kurt up once more and offering a hand.

The audience burst into applause as the magician and the assistant resumed their passionate dance, back down the steps and once more towards the bench, where another stagehand had replaced the curtain.

They danced around each other, Kurt pressing his body against Blaine, eyes half-lidded and full of lust. Blaine ran his hands down the front of Kurt's body, stopping just shy of his groin and picking him up. He spun him around again and stood him back on the bench, where Kurt danced a moment longer before resuming the pose of the mannequin.

Blaine looked up at him, seeming sad, before again, he turned to the audience with an idea and climbed up on the bench beside him. He wrapped one arm around Kurt's waist and with the other hand, raised the curtain once more, hiding them both from view.

When the curtain fell a moment later, Kurt and Blaine were gone. Instead, seated on the bench were two mannequins dressed in bathing suits, locked in a passionate kiss. The audience erupted into cheers as the final beat of the music rang out.

Backstage, Elliott handed Kurt a towel. "Why is it you'll let Blaine ruin your hair with the water on stage, but you throw a fit if anyone touches it off the stage?"

Kurt just smirked at him and whispered, "I let Blaine mess up my hair off stage, too."

grlnxtdr29: Oh my god! Those pictures someone leaked tonight! Is it my imagination, or did Blaine have a little wardrobe issue down below? Please tell me those were NOT socks in his pants!

blaineys-boogie-shoes: He wasn't the only one! Kurt had something going on in the hot zone as well! Damn, do you think they were getting hot for each other?

IShipBlina: You all are delusional! BLAINE LOVES TINA! You'll see when she comes back on Monday, I guarantee Blaine will be all over her!

klainedreams34: My cousin was at the show tonight, and she swears they actually kissed at one point, although it was just a brief brush of the lips!

DisillusionBlackwell666: You will burn for that!

BlaineKurtElliott: DisillusionBlackwell666 reported you for threatening posts.

Taplove2015: Is someone threatening Kurt?

IStanKlaine: If anyone lays a finger on my Klaine, I will shred them!

coffeegleek: Oh hell yeah, those pictures are H. ! But what's this about someone threatening Kurt?

yadivagirl: I always thought Kurt was secretly in love with Blaine. He looks at him the way he looks at Raja! And if someone is after Kurt, I hope Raja bites them in the ass!

coffeeorderwrites: They better not touch Kurt!

kurthummeldeservesbetter: I don't care who you all ship, They better keep Kurt safe!

lucy8675309: Please stay safe Kurt!

klainetkm (Formerly Kina4eva): After seeing those pictures, I've given in to the inevitable! Damn, that was smokin hot!

Blaine was prepared for Kurt to have another cranky morning as it was breakdown night again, which meant they didn't get back to the hotel until the wee hours of the morning. And just like when they left New York, they had to be back on the bus at eight in the morning. It wasn't that Kurt wasn't a morning person. It was that he didn't fare well without a sufficient amount of sleep.

"I need my beauty sleep, Blaine," he'd told the magician once.

So, despite how needy for his boyfriend to give him that release, Blaine ordered Kurt to go right to bed as soon as they got back to the hotel room.

"Blaiiinnneee," the assistant whined, sliding his arms around the other's neck as soon as the door was closed.

Blaine pressed a sweet kiss to the other's lips. "Believe me, love. There is nothing I want more than to ravish you right now. But you know how cranky you're going to be in the morning without us doing anything tonight. I just want to make sure you get the maximum amount of sleep you can right now."

Kurt was already drifting off, standing there with his arms around Blaine's neck, and his head lulling against his shoulder, his eyes nearly closed.

"I just want to be with you," the taller man mumbled. Blaine chuckled and pressed a kiss to the top of his head.

"I know, baby. Come on, let's get you to bed." He expertly scooped the man up, pulling a surprised yelp from Kurt and carried him over to the bed.

"Is this how we'll enter our hotel on our honeymoon?" Kurt asked. Blaine paused.

"Honeymoon?" he said in surprise. But Kurt had already fallen back into his previous drowsy state and hadn't heard him. He decided this was definitely a conversation they would need to have when Kurt was fully alert. He may not have even realized what he'd just said.

Blaine laid him down on the bed and pulled his shoes off before tucking him under the covers. He then kicked his own shoes off and slid under with him. He didn't care they were both still dressed. It would make it easier to get out to the bus quickly the next morning.

"Goodnight, love," Blaine whispered to Kurt, pressing a kiss to his temple. The other's only response was to curl into his arms and nuzzle his head against his chest. Blaine let out a soft chuckle and pulled him closer, before letting his own eyes drift shut.

Blaine had been right when he said that Kurt would be cranky the next morning, but in all honesty, it made him laugh.

"I hate the sun. I hate daytime. I hate alarm clocks. I hate morning breath. I just hate," Kurt mumbled, dragging himself around the room to gather his things.

The curly haired magician chuckled again. "You can get more sleep on the bus, baby. Rest up while we're on route to Albuquerque." Kurt snorted, though not in that adorable way he did when he was quietly laughing.

"Who the hell named that city anyway?" the older man asked.

Blaine shrugged. "I don't know, why?"

It was Kurt's turn to shrug as he focused on tying his shoe. "It's too much to say when you're tired." Blaine just laughed.

"Are you ready then, love?" he asked.

"Mm," Kurt hummed. "Kiss me first?" Blaine knew they could have all the kisses they wanted on the bus, but they would only be semi-private, so he moved forward and leaned down, pressing his lips to the other man's firmly and sweetly, and with all the love he could muster into that one simple action. "I may hate a lot of things, but I love you," Kurt said against his lips.

"I love you too, honey. Come on. Let's go before Wes comes pounding on the door with yells to hurry up." Kurt groaned, rolling his eyes and taking the hand Blaine held out to him.

"Raja, come on boy," Kurt said sweetly. "Time to go." The big tiger lept from the other bed and padded after Kurt and Blaine as they left the room.

When they boarded the bus a few minutes later, Elliott looked up from where he was munching on an eggo waffle. "Is he a zombie again?" he asked, looking from Blaine to Kurt and back again.

Kurt threw Elliott his bitch glare. "I am not a zombie. I just hate the sun and daytime right now."

"Maybe a vampire then," Elliott deadpanned. Kurt glared at him again and made for the berths on the bus.

"Glitter rock vampire," Blaine sang.

"Gonna bite yeh," Elliott finished before the two of them burst into laughter and Blaine followed his boyfriend to the berths, not ready to part from him just yet.

Quinn and Wes boarded the bus then, the latter's eyes on the clipboard he held in his hands. "Is everyone here?" he asked.

Elliott nodded and Raja let out a mewl from where he'd stretched himself out on one of the couches in the front of the bus. "Kurt and Blaine are going to get more sleep, I think."

Wes rolled his eyes. "Kurt needs it, but sometimes Blaine gives me the impression that he never needs sleep." He turned to head back off the bus so he could continue his head count before going to his own bus.

"Kurt said he hated the sun and days today," Elliott said. Wes rolled his eyes again.

"And next time it will be he hates working," Wes said.

Elliott laughed. "We know he doesn't really hate any of that. He's just really cranky from lack of sleep." In his head, Elliott added an afterthought, Not to mention what's been happening the last couple days. But he kept that to himself, because he wasn't sure whether Kurt wanted Wes to know what else had been going on.

"Honestly," Wes said before stepping off the bus, "I'm always surprised when we learn something that he actually does hate."

It was Elliott's turn to roll his eyes. "Whatever you say boss," he said. Wes threw him a look and disappeared out the door.
