Notes:

Ah, this chapter is a bit earlier than I thought it would be, but I really wanted to work on it some more!

I was surprised to see the reaction to this fic, and I'm really happy people like it.

I got some nice reviews, and one in-depth one that I would like to respond to now:

Xedornox - 1. The Uchiha clan exists here separate from the Naruto-Verse, however, the Naruto-Verse does exist and will be mentioned from time to time, I have little intention to bring Madara or Obito in at any point, I do have some fun ideas however, who knows how they'll show up. Time shall tell. :) But it does seem Sasuke breaks these rules, no?

2. The first part of this question is answered in this chapter, with much more building upon it later. As for being OP, I did try to curb Chakra a reasonable amount, without making it a fodder ability, since people do this FAR too often in fics, it will definitely be a step above any quirk. This is why he will probably only get Lightning release, and basic chakra skills, maybe a summon. Obviously, he won't be able to react to All Might for example, just because he sees a few fractions of a second ahead, doesn't mean he can react to him.

Sasuke actually directly states similar thoughts while fighting Naruto in the Valley of the End when Naruto has a Kurama amp. The Mangekyo... may be a bit different, no one else will be getting chakra besides Naruto characters and 4 Uchiha clan members in MHA, I strongly dislike when people give MHA characters Chakra for no reason so I won't do it. But there will be very easy ways to disable Izuku, so simple that I feel people will miss it. Feel free to guess though!

XenonKirito - For a summoning scroll, I've thought of multiple ways to have one show up, the reason I didn't specifically mention it was due to me assuming most Naruto fans would just assume I had that planned out. That was my bad. :p

ProjectIceman - Thank you! I had the thought to add the words right when I was finishing the draft and thought, 'This fits perfectly here!'

Now with those longgggggggggggggg notes out of the way, please enjoy this chapter! :)

Izuku woke up feeling… heavier, for a lack of a better word. His eyes opened before he could begin to move his body, as unresponsive as it currently was, only allowing his eyes the slightest amount of movement without being able to swivel his neck.

What he could see was a mostly square-shaped room, at least he figured by the parts of the ceiling and wall he could see with his limited vision. He could tell he was laying in some type of liquid, it was unmoving, or it felt like it at least, with it not lapping at his skin and… outfit?

His clothes felt different, heavier, most likely being the reason for some of his reduced movement. Other than that he couldn't see much of it, the only thing he could feel was that he had some type of open coat on, not much else.

After another few moments, or minutes, he couldn't really tell with how disoriented he was, so he began to sit up slowly. As he reached a full sitting position his eyes exploded with a familiar pain that blinded him for what felt much longer than it probably was. Even after the pain subsided the pressure remained, like a slowly building water main behind his eyes.

"You need to calm down."

A voice, somewhere off to his right. Izuku turned, wincing in pain at the sudden movement, what he saw was a bit unexpected. It was a man, or a teenager at least, he didn't look quite old enough to be an adult. But there were people with quirks that could hide their true age.

'You're thinking of quirks at a time like this?'

He had to admit, for once his line of thought made much more sense than usual, doing away with his usual journal first, safety later. His whole analysis shtick could wait until later when he wasn't with a strange man.

The man(teen?), was tall, much taller than he was. Although maybe a bit shorter than his mother, who he assumed was around 5'8, his hair was similar to his own. Onyx Black and long enough to touch his shoulders, with bangs hanging over his eyes. He was… strikingly similar to himself, or what he thought he may look when he got older. Those black eyes bore into him like he was peering into his soul.

The man spoke again, with a slightly softer voice than before, "You need to calm down, you're continuously pumping chakra into your eyes and it's damaging the nerves."

'How can he say that so casually?!' Izuku screams internally, not helping his effort to calm down at all.

He remembered when he was younger, not long after he had been diagnosed as quirkless, something his mother had taught him.

"Izuku, your life is going to be hard, people will judge you for what you are, and what you'll become."

She stroked his hair gently, speaking softly.

"We Uchiha feel more than most people, feel deeper, but you can't let those feelings consume you. For if you do, those around you will be in danger. So, I'm going to teach you something your father taught me. Now, breathe in…"

He breathed in like he was taught, feeling the beat in his ears and the pressure behind his eyes reduce to nothing. Izuku sighed in relief, he was beginning to think the pain would never go away, even an aspirin wouldn't fix that.

"Good, faster than most." The man made his way towards him, walking in slow strides that didn't disturb the water beneath him as much as it should have.

'How-?'

"I don't have a lot of time here, for now, so I need to make this quick. So in the short time we have, I'll be explaining everything." The man's eyes turned a crimson red, with three tomoes spinning on a ring around his iris.

"My name is Sasuke Uchiha, and we have much to talk about."

Izuku woke up in his room feeling refreshed, it was quiet, and night. Evidenced by the lack of light from his large window, and the dim candle lit on his bedside table.

He sat up, almost jumping out of his skin at the sight of someone at the edge of his bed. After he took a moment to actually see who it was, he saw it was only his sister. He breathed a quiet sigh of relief, she was sleeping and hadn't seen home wake up.

He looked around his room again, he didn't see his mother anywhere, most likely sleeping in her own room, or writing in her study. Izuku knew he should probably go and see if she was awake, but…

He made his way to the bathroom instead, making sure not to wake Suna, quietly opening the door he stepped inside and latched it again. He flicked on the switch and looked into the mirror.

He looked the same, nothing was out of place, but he knew something was not the same. He could feel it, and that man- Sasuke, an Uchiha, had told him exactly what he was, and what would become of him.

As painful as it was, he thought of Bakugou, his harsh words and actions, the doctor, and his dismissive words. With a familiar Shing! and slight dizziness, he saw them again. The very thing that would change his entire way of life.

The same red eyes that Sasuke had- blood, blood, so much blood, his legacy as it had been called. What he assumed his mother had mentioned all those years ago, he should be happy. He finally has the means to be a hero, and if Sasuke was to be believed, one of the strongest people on the planet.

But he felt… angry maybe? it wasn't any specific thing, just angry. Maybe sad as well, he felt confused.

'The Sharingan is no quirk, it is a bi-product of the Uchiha clan's bloodline, our Kekkei Genkai, the first in the line of the strongest doujutsu.'

This was NO quirk, it was some form of mutation in his blood, something only his family had, something only his family had any information about. This nagged at him, in the corner of his mind, but he couldn't grasp the thought for long. He kept growing distracted by the mesmerizing eyes.

His were different than Sasukes, with only one tomoe in each eye, looking at them in the mirror made him feel a bit disoriented.

'I'll have to mess with it later.' He thought.

Now though he wanted more answers, Sasuke had only told him about the Sharingan in minimal detail, leaving more complicated talks for 'a better time' and that he needed to 'gather more chakra before they could talk again.

That itself was interesting, it seemed his sister was also misdiagnosed, it made sense looking back on it, she had no detected quirk gene, and yet she could still dispel that small blue energy from her palm. If that was the case, and chakra and the Sharingan were mutations then-

'No one in this family has a quirk.'

How did no one know about this? How did they not have the entire government coming down on them for this knowledge? Why weren't they all stuck in labs?

And why had he never heard of the Sharingan before?

If someone had such powers surely they would have helped people before?

The only people with answers were his family, and Sasuke-

Izuku stopped momentarily on his way down the hall.

'I guess he is family.'

Whatever he wasn't available currently, and he didn't know how to access that headspace, or whatever it was called. So for now he went to the only person who had any answers for him, and this time, he thinks, she may actually give them up.

He had been right, the light in his mother's study was indeed on, he didn't bother knocking as he opened the door, she always had an uncanny way of knowing where he was at all times.

She was facing away from the door when he entered, hunched over some papers and muttering something he couldn't quite hear. After a few seconds, he cleared his throat to announce his presence, his mother must have been much more distracted than he thought judging by the way she jolted at the sound.

"Izuku? You're already awake? Are you ok sweetheart?" She got up and made her way over to him, getting on her knees and pulling him into a tight and warm hug.

Never let it be said that Kagami Uchiha didn't love her children immensely.

"I'm fine mom, I feel pretty good actually." Izuku smiled at his mom's antics, returning the hug before they separated and he took a seat in one of the chairs in front of her desk, with her returning to her desk chair.

He tried to make out some of the papers on her desk, but he only saw scribbles and blotches, nothing legible.

'Confusing, to say the least.' Izuku couldn't help but think, 'why would she pour over something that she couldn't even read?'

She pushed the papers into a drawer in her desk before he could think further, "So, Izuku, I have a feeling you're not here just to tell me you're ok." She said it matter-of-factly as if she knew why he was here, and to be honest, she probably did.

"I- You're right, I have questions if you'll answer them, mom."

She motioned for him to continue, he thought of what to ask first.

'Sasuke, maybe? No. Something else…'

"Why didn't you tell me more about our clan?" He felt this was more appropriate, it covered more ground than a one-way question. Izuku had always been smarter than the kids his age, only Bakugou came close. Some adults who were still slightly nice to him, called him a prodigy, prodigy, he hated that word.

"That's a bit broad-"

He cut her off, "I know about the Sharingan now or the basics of it at least. What I wanna know is why you kept it hidden from me?" He felt confident that she would answer his questions, but the look on her face at the Sharingan made him shiver in fear.

Well, it wasn't her face, mostly, her face held a very calm expression. His hands clasped in front of her chin, it was her eyes. Those cold calculating eyes that were usually an onyx black like his, but were now blood red with the same three tomoes.

Beyond that, the very air around her felt heavy, making it hard to breathe for the young boy.

A moment later it was gone. As if it had never been there in the first place, her eyes, however, remained the same as they had been, Sharingan active, with the tomoe now spinning.

"Izuku," She spoke calmly, slowly, "Who told you? You shouldn't even know that name."

Ah, he hadn't thought of that. In his defense, he was seven and he didn't really think that through. Racking his brain he couldn't find a way to explain without mentioning the other teen. He had never heard of the Sharingan before that, and he was a bad liar in general. So, he told the truth.

He explained what had happened in the dream, he didn't know how to describe it, but he didn't think it was a dream. Especially when his mother stiffened at the name, Sasuke Uchiha like it was a name she thought she would never hear again.

He couldn't remember the entirety of the visit with Sasuke, so he told her as much as he could, with him explaining the very bare minimum about the Sharingan and what he told him about the clan. Which wasn't much, admittedly, just that Izuku should, 'Ask your clan head for more details, it's not my place to tell you our history.'

And that had been that, he was pretty sure he had woken up shortly after.

When he finished, she remained silent, her eyes staring him in the face, after a moment she sighed deeply. Like someone who had just been told they had extra work to perform.

"Go wake your sister, I don't want to explain twice, and she deserves to hear this."

Izuku stared at her dumbly, that had been easy. He stood up and skedaddled out of the room, walking quickly down the hall to wake his sister and bring her to the main living room.

"The Uchiha clan was a once proud clan, one that held much renown in the world as it is known." His mother started, staring out of the window and gassing upon the moon.

"Our clan has a special power, Chakra, and by extension, The Sharingan, contrary to what people would think if they knew of us, these are not quirks."

Izuku shook with something akin to excitement, Izuku, and Suna love quirk theory, and to discover that a power existed outside of quirks was fascinating.

'But also terrifying.'

"I see you understand," Their mother continued, "A power outside of quirks is unheard of, and that is why we have never let it come to light. Our clan has lost much of our renown and power since the feudal era of our country."

"I can't do much to explain the fall of our clan, but I can explain our greatest power. As Izuku found out, the Sharingan is a Kekkei Genkai, also known as a Bloodline Limit, and it can only be activated with chakra and the sense of deep loss."

Izuku and Suna listened with rapt attention, while they both wished the history of their clan was known by their mother, they would settle for what they could get.

"When an Uchiha feels great emotional pain or something strong enough to match it, a special type of chakra flows through the brain, causing the nerves to change and alter the eyes."

She pointed at her own, the Sharingan slowly spinning,

"Since our founding, we have called these eyes many things, one was always thrown around more than the others, 'The mirror that reflects the heart', because the Uchiha feel love much deeper than any other person, but also hate."

"It is also known that among our clan, no member has ever had a quirk."

Izuku looked at his mother with surprise, "Never had a quirk? How is that possible, surely there must have been at least one!"

She nodded, "One would think so, however, some… overzealous members of the clan found a reason for this many, many years ago."

She tapped the side of her skull, "The Sharingan alters a part of the brain, the same place a quirk would be controlled by the mind. Think of it this way, you have a steering wheel in a car, it controls the car, if you take the wheel, nothing can control the car. Simple right?"

Izuku and Suna nodded, slightly confused by the analogy, but deciding to roll with it.

"Now, imagine slotting another wheel in that spot, this is the Sharingan, you can't control a quirk while having a Sharingan because that part of the brain is used for the Sharingan." She took a breath, letting their minds work as they took in the information.

Everything made sense, but… That begged a new question from the young ravenette.

"So… can I still… be a hero if the Sharingan isn't public knowledge?"

His mother smiled and shook her head at his question, "Of course, in fact, there's one member of the clan, albeit a distant one, that is a very successful underground hero."

"Who?!" Both children asked, eager to meet another member of their dwindling clan.

"Well, you didn't think Eraserhead had a red-eye ocular quirk for no reason did you?"

They both sat dumbfounded, and then they both spoke at the same time, "Why haven't we met him?!/Can we meet him?!"

They both had stars in their eyes at the thought of meeting not only a hero but possibly one of the only remaining members of their clan. Kagami smiled at the two, standing up and moving to leave the room, the sun slowly rising outside, "Well, I will need someone to train you two, and…"

She picked up the phone hanging on the wall, dialing a number, "-I think it's time you meet your godfather."

On a rooftop overlooking the city, a man with shaggy black hair and a dirty scarf, sat watching the small number of people milling about at the early time of morning. His patrol shift was almost over, and he would need to get some sleep. He groaned when he realized he wouldn't see his girlfriend again today.

He stood up and made his way to the edge of the roof, casually stepping off, and when he neared the bottom he shot out a material similar to his scarf from his wrists, catching a lamppost in a perfect arc and landing on the ground.

It was a few minutes later when his mobile rang, he pulled it out, confused because only a few people had his mobile number, those being his friend, girlfriend, and…

Looking back at him was the one number he never expected to receive a call from.

One name stared back at him from the screen, his thumb over the 'accept call' button.

-Kagami-

He took a breath and pressed the button, holding the phone up to his ear.

"Mrs. Kagami, I can't say I expected a call from you." He spoke nonchalantly, even though the woman scared him slightly.

"Shouta, hun, I told you to call me Kagami, we are family after all." Her tone sounded jovial, but he had learned nothing great ever came from business with the matriarch of the Uchiha clan.

"Sorry, Kagami, what can I do for you?"

"I need someone to help me with a specific issue."

"And why me? Surely someone else would be better for whatever it is you need?" He just wanted to sleep, and he had a feeling he wasn't going to get it.

"Fine, I'll cut to the chase, I need someone to train my son, and I think it's time for the twins to meet their Godfather."

Shouta stopped walking, a surprised look spreading over his face, before transitioning into a slight smile. Something many people would pay to see.

'Maybe something good can come from dealing with my family after all.'

"About damn time, I'll see you in ten."

Shouta's smile only grew wider as he started making his way to the old compound.

Author's notes:

Wow.

I had a blast writing this chapter and Izuku's reaction to the Sharingan and having another living clan member. It was a lot of fun!

If you're wondering why I skipped the talk with Sasuke, it was intentional, I will be bringing it up again later and the reason why he doesn't remember much of it.

As for Aizawa, I'm going to explain a bit here so people don't get too heated about the decision:

Uchiha main members, let's say 50% Uchiha blood, can't have quirks. But Aizawa is a very distant member, although Kagami is an excepting person and has him in her circle of trust.

Now, his quirk, which he developed due to having less Uchiha blood, The Sharingan, is a red ocular power, Erasure is a red ocular power.

The Sharingan can cast illusions, so, erasure, his quirk, is a bit of a lie to hide the truth, it doesn't get rid of a quirk factor while he looks at them but it puts them under the illusion that they cant use their quirk. Similar to a genjutsu, this will also explain his slightly better reaction time and hand-to-hand. It's not a Sharingan, but a derivative of one.

I hope people like what I did with him and his relationship with them! He's probably my favorite character in MHA so I like including him. :)

Also, for those wondering, and deep in the Naruto-Verse, their mother, Kagami, is not the Kagami from the anime. I just liked the name and used it, sorry for any confusion. :p

Finally, I'm not too sure about how much I like the final product of this chapter, feel free to provide feedback because I feel it could definitely be fixed in some spots.

Until the next chapter!
