Summer and Jaune helped a lot of people get to safety. Some of those people were Yang, Blake and Weiss. When the teammates met with each other, Yang and Blake can see that Weiss had a weird look on her face. It was as if she had seen a ghost. They approached her and asked what was wrong.
"Uhm…Weiss, is there something wrong?" Yang asked.
"I'm confused. You told me that your and Ruby's mother, Summer, was dead, right? Summer Rose is supposed to be dead?" Weiss asked.
"Ouch! Way to hit a sore spot, Weiss," Yang said.
"Are you sure she's dead?" Weiss asked.
"Yeah. We even had a funeral for her. Why are you asking all these questions?" Yang said.
"That's because I just met Summer Rose. She looked exactly like Ruby, just more mature looking," Weiss said.
"Weiss? Are you okay? Are you sure that you didn't just see Ruby?" Yang said.
"Maybe you're right. Except for one thing… she told me that Ruby was her daughter!" Weiss said.
Yang was about to say something to Weiss to calm her down, but a portal opened with Yang's uncle Qrow, Glynda, General Ironwood, and…Summer Rose.
"Mom?!" Yang shouted. She then ran towards Summer to hug her.
"Hello, Yang," Summer said. She then opened her arms to hug a Yang that was running towards her.
"How are you here?! We all thought you were dead!" Yang shouted.
"I'll explain everything to you later. For now, we need to help all the people that are injured. Plus, it would be easier to explain it once with everyone, rather than having to explain everything over and over again," Summer said.
"See? I told you she was here. I'm not crazy," Weiss said.
"Weiss…No one thought you were crazy," Yang said.
"Lies! I can see it in your eyes, Yang. You thought I was going insane," Weiss shouted.
"Okay, maybe I did think that for a second…But to my defence, the idea was crazy," Yang said.
"She's right there!" Weiss shouted.
"I can see that now! I didn't know earlier, okay," Yang said while crossing her arms.
"That's…reasonable," Weiss said.
"Yang? Where's Ruby?" Summer asked. She knew for a fact that Ruby was at Beacon. Weiss said that she was her partner. So, she was worried that something might have happened.
"I don't know," Yang said. She didn't know where Ruby went.
At the words of Yang, Summer got worried. So, she spoke to Jaune telepathically.
'Jaune! Where are you?' Summer asked.
'I'm in some sort of underground tunnel under Beacon. Summer, is there something wrong?' Jaune replied as he heard Summer had a worried tone in her voice.
'I've searched everywhere for my daughter, Ruby. But I can't find her anywhere. I found Yang, but she told me she wasn't aware of Ruby's location,' Summer said.
'Alright. Just give me a moment. I'm just helping a young woman in a pod, she got half her soul ripped out of her, but I solved it. I just need a moment to help her get on her feet,' Jaune said.
'I understand. Please, just get here as soon as you can,' Summer said. She was truly worried for her daughter.
'I will. And Summer, don't worry. We will find Ruby,' Jaune said.
After Jaune's telepathic communication with Summer, he concentrated on helping Amber get on her feet. For some reason, Ozpin, Jeanne and Pyrrha weren't helping him. They were just staring.
"Do you mind helping me help her up? Instead of just standing there staring at me with wide eyes?" Jaune said.
"Sorry!" Pyrrha said, and she started helping Amber up, just like Jaune.
After they got Amber out of the pod, Jaune conjured some clothes for her. He can't have her walking around half-naked. He then opened a portal to Summer's location. There he saw the people hurt from the event that Cinder caused. Countless people were injured, and hundreds to thousands died because a woman was hungry for power. As soon as Jaune exited the portal, Summer ran towards him.
"Jaune," Summer said. She saw that Jaune and another person was holding onto a young woman who looked injured.
Ozpin, who was with Jaune, was shocked to see Summer. After the information of Summer's death, he scoured half of Remnant to find even a trace of her, but alas, he found nothing, except for her broken weapon and cape.
"Summer? Is that you?" Ozpin asked.
"Hello, Ozpin…" Summer said. She then proceeded to punch Ozpin and the face. She couldn't believe that the man she trusted would keep information from her, the fact that the enemy that they were fighting against was immortal. And for getting her daughter, Ruby, involved when she is only fifteen.
"Ugh! Why did you hit?!" Ozpin said while holding his bleeding nose.
"That's for keeping important information from me and for getting Ruby involved when she is only fifteen," Summer said.
"I understand you hitting me for getting Ruby involved, but what do you mean I kept information from you?" Ozpin said.
"You know exactly what I'm talking about," Summer said in a serious tone with a bit of anger laced on it.
"You know! How did you find out?!" Ozpin asked.
"How I found out doesn't matter. What matters is that I'm going to kick your ass," Summer said in a menacing voice that gave Ozpin shivers down his spine.
"Summer. You can kick his ass later. But right now, why don't we look for Ruby?" Jaune said.
"You're right. I need to keep my priorities straight," Summer said.
"Okay. I need a strand of your hair," Jaune said. Summer then gave him a nod, and he plucked a single strand in her head.
Jaune then proceeded to use a spell to locate Ruby through her biological connection to Summer. It took a moment for the magic to find her. But it did. When the spell was successful, it created a thin fiery line made of Extra-Dimensional. It was heading to a bullhead in the air.
"It looks like your daughter is on one of those bullheads," Jaune said.
"What in the world is she doing there?!" Summer asked.
"I don't know, but I'll go ahead and bring her here," Jaune said. He then took off flying. He was following where the Extra-Dimensional energy.
When he got there, he saw someone that looked just like Summer. He put two and two together and figured that the girl with red hair is Summer's daughter, who seems to be fighting a man with heavy make-up on his face. Though, Jaune can admit that he looked pretty good with that bowler hat.
"You got spirit, Red. But this is the real world!" Roman shouted, then whacks Ruby with his cane, sending her back a few feet.
"The real world is cold! The real world doesn't care about spirit!" Roman continued. Ruby then kicks him in the knee, causing him to lose balance as he prepares to hit her.
"You wanna be a hero!? Then play the part and die like every other Huntsman in history! As for me, I'll do what I do best. Lie, steal, cheat, survive and join the winning side!" Roman shouted.
"The winning side is it. Then I'm sorry to tell you that you're on the wrong side. Tell me, Roman. Is the mastermind of this chaos that raven-haired woman named Cinder? If so, then she already lost. I suggest you surrender now, or I can do what I did to Cinder, to you," Jaune said with a bit of a threatening voice while he floated down.
"I don't know who you are. But I doubt you could beat that psycho. She is more powerful than any Huntsman or Huntress I've ever met," Roman said.
"True…she was quite powerful, but she wasn't powerful enough to beat me," Jaune said. He then proceeded to use Crimson Bands of Cyttorak on Roman so that he can't escape. While Jaune bound Roman using the Crimson Bands of Cyttorak, they got surrounded by a flock of Griffon.
"Ha-ha-ha! What are you going to do now? You are but a single person," Roman laughed. But he was then silenced at the sight of Jaune's prowess.
When Jaune saw that a flock of Griffon surrounded them, he did some hand signs and used a spell known as the Images of Ikonn. It is a duplication spell. Jaune made over a dozen duplications of himself. Each of these duplications used Bolts of Balthakk, killing the flock of Griffons without any problems.
"Whoa! How did you do that?!" Ruby asked.
"Not the right thing to ask right now, Ruby," Jaune said.
"How did you know my name?!" Ruby asked in shock. She's never met someone like Jaune before. And she would never forget him because he is so cool.
"You will find that out later. There is someone on the ground that wants to meet you. I suggest we go and see her. And I bet you would too if you knew who it was," Jaune said.
Jaune then created a portal to Summer's location once more. When Ruby saw Summer, she didn't have any words due to her shock. Nonetheless, she ran towards her and hugged her mother with tears of joy in her eyes.
