Pairing: TFP Shockwave/Vehicon

Rating: Mature

Details/Themes: Admiration, crush, secret/implied masturbation

Power was not something a Vehicon normally had. A Vehicon commander was illogical.

"Shockwave, that is The Matriarch," Megatron said.

The scientist couldn't silently scowl fast enough. A Vehicon commander who was bold enough to call themselves a king as a nickname. Oh, the ego.

"The Matriarch, what did they do to earn that name, I wonder?" He scoffed.

Megatron then held a smirk, "She was given the name by her own soldiers and it stuck. She is responsible for training the troops and is an expert in close combat. If you have a problem with her weaponizing the nickname she received, go take it up with her. Just try not to get killed, won't you?"

The idea alone did nothing to change his opinion of her. Shockwave all but blew off the notions. A Vehicon commander was still absurd. That opinion ended up...changing somewhere down the line.

The Matriarch was everything Megatron described. The scars she held even rivaled his master's own. She was tough, brutal and somehow, he could only stare at the illogical commander as she took out Insecticons like they were mere foot soldiers in training. Every time she came to the main deck, he watched her like a hawk. Her aggressive mannerisms fascinated him and she had the brass to stand up to Starscream's idiotic torment of those he considered less, something that even Megatron was a bit taken aback by and The Matriarch made him regret immediately.

He wouldn't say he was obsessed. It was nothing of the sort to him. All it was, all it seemed to him at least, was a study of oddity among the ranks. It was perfectly normal to see what was up with this Vehicon commander, and it was nothing short of acceptable that he made sure she wasn't any trouble.

Shockwave found himself one day staring down a training session like it was better than the Pits of Kaon gladiatorial fights. He stood stunned as The Matriarch roundhouse kicked another Vehicon straight into unconsciousness, barely moved an inch otherwise. The Vehicon was out cold and The Matriarch looked like a monster standing over their body. It was magnificent. The blood she spilled would be logical to his fascination, a beauty on her frame if the rumors of her darkest achievements were true.

Shockwave had a good feeling they were. The image of her blood-stained and rage-filled swarmed his processor to the point where he retreated to a lesser monitored area of the training room and leaned against the wall. He didn't feel bad spying on her while she taught Vehicons various techniques in fighting and letting himself go in the process.

He could only imagine what he could do to her. His body flared each moment he was there hidden and coaxing out his own needs without her even realizing it. The release was well worth it. He could only imagine what she could do to him or better yet, what they could do together against the Autobots.

Then one day, he had a chance to meet her up close and personal, the days of watching her from afar with his fantasies over with. The Matriarch did have a regal aura but it was more like Megatron as a warlord personality. Whether his master realized yet about this was unclear but if she posed a threat, he would have done something already.

"Are you going to keep staring or do I have to take your only optic out of commission?" The Matriarch suddenly spoke.

The voice was dark but feminine, the body was a typical Vehicon grounder frame so it was unexpected. She turned towards him with the same cold stare most Vehicons had but hers chilled him down to the spark.

"I was merely curious-"

"About what?" She tested, coming up to him fearlessly. "I've seen a lot of idiots look at me like I'm nothing but cannon fodder, but I find it funny that I tend to outlive each and every one. My rank might not be much but I like where I stand, makes it much more amusing watching you higher ups tumble and fall. It's not quantum science to figure out the larger the pride, the more delicate the ego. I know what you've seen, don't think I don't monitor my own training barracks."

Attitude, strong-willed and clever. Shockwave found that combination illogical; he liked her foreign nature, kind of a rival of his own. Maybe it was the thrill of the danger she possessed that was revving him up, not that he would admit it.

"My ego is big because I know what I do is beyond the capabilities of the norm, something I have proven for years," he bit back.

"You want to see my proof, step into my room one of these days. I never told Lord Megatron about what happened to several of his so-called perfect soldiers when they got in my way. My trophy case hasn't seen a new addition in years. I would introduce you but your still useful in Megatron's eyes so no point in causing any disturbance between my good standing with our leader...yet."

Shockwave said nothing as she walked past him.

"If curiosity is worth dying for, you're one hell of a martyr. Also, for a bot as smart as you claim, you're pretty stupid with common sense, but maybe that's why I can't help but respect you. Just don't push your luck, science geek."

As she left him there, he stared...again. Her feistiness certainly had its charm but there was obvious danger in it, danger he yearned for. Maybe he was a sucker for punishment in his darkest thoughts but he had to give it to her, she was a queen. A queen needs a king, doesn't she? What if...he became her king, not that he was foolish enough to try and make her submissive. No, she was entirely her own entity and to be feared as such, and he would gladly follow behind in her shadow if he could bear witness to the destruction she brought on all her opponents regardless of faction.

Prior to what he thought long before, The Matriarch was indeed worthy of her title. So much venom in words she barked out unfiltered; it was a reminder her bite was a lot deadlier. She was a challenge. Shockwave wanted to study her and he would be damned if he was going to let her warning stop him. He already disregarded Megatron's warning to stay away from her.

Shockwave then muttered at her among himself, "Don't worry, I don't intend to act on simple luck to win you over."

AN: The Matriarch became one of my favorite Vehicon OCs so I figured since it's hard to just play with normal Vehicons without seeming repetitive, Vehicons and canon mook soldier OCs (like the Decepticon soldiers from WFC/FOC) are the only type of OCs I will allow to be shipped with canon characters. That's my new rule.

I quite honestly found her best match to be Shockwave because they are both stern but kindred. I may write a spin-off of this. I really want to now.
