As Ruby and Summer were having their moment. A loud thunderous roar was heard in the distance. This caught the attention of everyone, from civilians to Huntsman and Huntress in training and Professors. They looked at the area where the roar originated from, and they saw a giant Wyvern Grimm spawn lesser Grimm.
"What the hell is that?! And is it spawning more Grimm?!" Blake shouted.
"That's a very old Grimm. I believe it is called a Grimm Wyvern. Unlike other Grimm like a Manticore or a Sphinx that can make poison or fire, a Wyvern can spawn lesser Grimm," Oobleck said.
"What are we going to do against something like that?!" Jeanne asked.
"Leave that to Summer and me," Jaune said.
"Kid, you can't be seriously going to go against something like that?" Qrow asked.
"Ohhhh. He is serious. I can tell from his facial expression. Plus, that Wyvern isn't much for us to deal with," Summer said.
Qrow was about to say something, but he didn't have that chance when Summer and Jaune face the direction of the Grimm. Everyone was starting to panic as the Grimm was heading their way. But Jaune and Summer were calm. They stared at the Grimm before they both smiled at each other. They didn't even have to communicate through telepathy to know what the other was going to do.
Everyone was staring at the duo. They saw Jaune made a hand gesture that created lines in the air. Those who have seen Jaune fought before knew that this wasn't just a special effect. He was planning to use something. And they are right. Jaune is preparing a spell that can kill the Grimm Wyvern in an instant. The magic that he intends to invoke is quite hot.
"By the Flames of the Faltine!" Jaune shouted to invoke the powers of the Faltine.
As Jaune fired the spell, Summer created a portal that sent the Flames of the Faltine in front of the Grimm Wyvern, completely incinerating the Grimm to nothingness. When everyone saw this, they started cheering for the duo.
Meanwhile, Ozpin's inner circle members were shocked. They just saw Summer and Jaune use powerful abilities that didn't require any Dust or Aura, and they can only compare it to magic. It was then that they realise that Jaune and Summer may have been using magic all along.
"Summer? How the hell are you both able to do that?" Qrow asked.
"Qrow. I told you, I'll explain everything to the relevant people later," Summer said.
"Whoa! Mom! How do you and that guy make that sparkly thing?!" Ruby shouted. Summer didn't answer her. Instead, she just patted her in the head.
"The name's Jaune Arc, by the way. Jeanne Arc is my older sister," Jaune said.
"Really?! No wonder you look similar to her. Same blonde hair. Same blue eyes. And same facial features. You look like a manlier version of her," Ruby said.
"Thanks for saying that I look manlier than her. Oum knows how many times people thought that I was her younger sister when we were younger," Jaune said. This got a chuckle from Jeanne, who wasn't far away.
"Do you guys want to see a picture of Jaune when he was younger?" Jeanne asked.
"Oh! Yes, please!" Summer said.
"No!" Jaune shouted. He can't believe that his wife will see pictures of him when he was a child. That's not even the worst part! The worst part is that he wore a girl's dress in most photos because his mother thought they had twin girls. After all, they had multiple girls, so they thought Jaune might be a girl as well.
"Too late!" Jeanne shouted while having her scroll out with a bunch of Jaune's pictures.
"Ohhhh! Look! Jaune, you look so cute!" Summer said. Jaune was embarrassed that his wife saw those pictures of him. Oum knows what other pictures she might see when she meets his parents. The idea was horrifying to think of.
"Ha-ha-ha! These pictures are hilarious!" Yang shouted.
"Is that so, Vomit Girl," Jaune said.
"Hey! Are you going to call me that from now on?!" Yang shouted.
"Maybe. Maybe not. Who knows?" Jaune said teasingly.
Jeanne and her team and their sister team were looking at the photos of a young feminine Jaune with Summer Arc-Rose. All was going well until something that Summer said.
"Uhm? Mom? Can you repeat what you just said?" Ruby asked.
"What? I said that my husband looked cute when he was a child. Why?" Summer said.
"Uhm? But this is the picture of Jeanne's brother, Jaune. Not dad's," Ruby said.
"I know that, Ruby. Because Jaune is my husband," Summer said.
"Say what now?" Yang said.
The following day, Jaune and Summer was sitting at a table with Ruby and Yang. They haven't returned to Patch even after everything settled down. But one thing the sisters did was call their father, Taiyang Xiao Long.
Tai was worried about his little girls but relieved when they called him and said they were okay. Although, he was confused after Ruby and Yang asked if he was ever married to Summer, which he told them he wasn't. Now, he was on his way to meet his girls as he missed them, and the fact that he was so worried he nearly passed out when he heard about the attack.
When he arrived at the place his daughters told him to meet, he didn't think he would meet someone he hadn't seen in a long time. It came as a shock to him, but he was glad that she was back. But just like the others, if thought the same thing that they did.
"Summer! It's great to see you again," Tai said, and he hugged her.
"It's good to see you too, Tai," Summer said.
"Who's the kid," Tai asked. He was talking about Jaune, of course.
"His name is Jaune Arc. He happens to be my husband," Summer said.
"I see. So, you finally found someone you were willing to settle down with. Back at Beacon, you didn't even bat an eye at anyone. What happened between us was just for one night," Tai said.
"Tai. It was a one-night stand because you didn't want anything to happen between us, even after I had Ruby. Do you know why? Because you were still very much in love with Raven at that time, and I can see that you still are," Summer said.
"I know. I've tried to get over her, but no matter what, I still love her. I even told myself that she abandoned Yang and me, but that didn't help," Tai said.
"So, you guys have never been married?!" Ruby said.
"No, Ruby. But there was a time I was infatuated by Tai, except he always had his eyes on Yang's mother, Raven," Summer said.
"Does that mean that I have to call Jaune Dad?" Ruby said.
"No! You don't have to. And please, as much as I will care about you as a stepdaughter, please, never call me Dad or Daddy. I beg you!" Jaune said.
"Okay? But why? Isn't it just right to call you that as my stepfather?" Ruby asked.
"It would be fine if I weren't just two years older than you," Jaune said to Ruby.
"Oh, my Oum! You're just seventeen?!" Tai said.
"Yeah, why?" Jaune said.
"Are you okay with that, mom? You're like twenty-one years apart!" Yang said.
"Hmm? No, we're not. We're only nine years apart," Summer said.
"What? But you should be thirty-eight this year!" Tai said.
"I'll explain that later. For now, tell me everything that I missed," Summer said.
From there, Tai told Summer about Ruby and Yang growing up. Oh, Summer was angry after she found out about his breakdown after her death. And how he neglected Ruby and Yang to the point that they nearly got killed by a pack of Beowolf if Qrow wasn't there to save them.
Tai tried to run away, but that was useless as Summer made an Eldritch Whip to catch him. Summer then proceeded to nag him, but it didn't last long as she realised that she wasn't there for her daughters when they were growing up. Summer made a promise to herself that she wasn't going to miss any more moments of her daughters' life, and an Arc never breaks their promise. That's right, daughters. Just because Summer didn't give birth to Yang or the fact that she wasn't married to Tai doesn't mean she doesn't consider Yang as her daughter.
