As Optimus and Megatron headed back home with their ten new sparklings they had just adopted, Orion was heading towards Magnus and Starscream's place to retrieve Starshooter. Orion knew his mate wanted to visit and had set it up so that Topaz and Garnet would help Shooter safely travel between the two places. Orion just hoped that Starshooter wasn't mad. Orion sighed. Having a sparked mate was a new experience to Orion and he hoped he wasn't failing at his job of being the supportive and loving mate.
Orion soon reached the door and knocked softly. Sapphire was the bot who answered the door. "Are you Orion or Taurus?" She asked, still having trouble telling the difference between the two.
"I am Orion. I understand that it can be difficult to tell Taurus and I apart. I would say a good way to tell the difference is that Taurus has more silver covering his chest plate than I do" Orion politely responded, trying to help sapphire remember who was who. He was trying to help her.
Sapphire blushed, feeling a bit embarrassed about the mix up. "Thank you" she replied.
"You are welcome, Sapphire. And don't feel bad, I know many still have trouble telling us apart. It takes time. I wanted to help give you something that might help you tell us apart, not embarrass you. Forgive me" Orion said, wanting her to not feel so bad about all of this.
Sapphire smiled at that. "You and Taurus both take so much after your mother, from what I have learned" Sapphire answered and allowed Orion into the home. Orion thanked her and entered, hoping his mate was doing ok.
Starshooter saw his mate and ran carefully to the bot, hugging him tightly. Orion was a bit caught off guard but smiled and hugged his mate back. Orion seemed glad that Starshooter didn't seem to be angry. "I'm not angry, love" Starshooter suddenly stated, his spark having felt what Orion felt. Orion looked to his mate, curious and worried. "Love, My parents explained to me how vulnerable a bot is when sparked and how even our leader Megatron never goes anywhere alone when sparked. It made me realize that you were just trying to keep my safe, not restrict my comings and going's."
Orion smiled in relief when Starshooter said that. Orion realized that he wasn't a bad mate, just young and inexperienced but he was already acting like a good mate. "I am glad to hear that, my love" Orion relied, "but I am wondering if you are ready to head for home."
Starshooter had to think for a minute, as he enjoyed his visit here. But he soon realized that he was tired, and so he agreed. "Yes, I am ready to go home" Starshooter replied and soon the two headed out. Starscream and Ultra Magnus smiled, as Orion truly was being a good mate to Starshooter. The older bots hoped that things would continue to go well with the young bots.
