Megatron woke the next day, and found that his mate was still deep in recharge. Megatron felt extremely bad for the way he had acted and the way he had treated his mate and his son. Megatron was pondering these things when he thought of something – Optimus had probably gone to his mother's place for the time Megatron was not himself. Megatron sighed. He knew he was lucky that Crankcase listened to Optimus or Megatron would have been offlined by the bot.
Megatron, feeling like he was having a good day, slipped out of his mate's loving arms. He didn't like leaving the bot, it Megatron hoped that the effort he was making would be worth it. Slowly, Megatron stood up, his ancient systems silently groaning under the increased weight. It took a minute for Megatron to get his balance now that his center of gravity had changed due to the developing sparklings.
Once Megatron felt like he had his balance and such, he carefully headed to the place where they kept the regular and sparkling approved energon. Optimus had done this so many times for Megatron, Megatron hoped he could make his mate feel happy by being the one that brought the energon this time. Megatron carefully made his way to where the correct energon was stored and carefully removed two cubes for him and his mate. Megatron grabbed one of the sparkling approved ones for Himself and one of the regular cubes of energon for Optimus.
Aware that he could be unsteady at times, Megatron asked Tuarus to help the old Tyrant make his way back into the room he and his mate called their own. Taurus, seeing what his father was trying to do, was as helpful as he could be and helped his father make it back to the shared berthroom. And it was just as Megatron entered the room with energon that Optimus woke.
"Hon?" Optimus asked, not quite fully online just yet.
"I'm here, my beloved" Megatron replied and then showed the energon he had brought to the room.
Optimus smiled, feeling touched by the small act. "Thank you, my love. That means so much to me" Optimus replied, wanting to pull his mate close, but stopped as Taurus was still behind Megatron.
"This is an A and B conversation, I will C my way out of it" Taurus piped up before leaving. Megatron and Optimus laughed softly.
"So, do he get that from you or me?" Optimus asked, having an idea what Megatron would say.
"Definitely you, as I am still trying to work on my sense of humor" Megatron answered. Optimus smiled and they both just spent time together, sipping their energon and talking like the bonded couple they were.
