Author's Note: So, this is the last chapter I have pre-written, but I should have another written and published in the next week or so. Thank you for reading.
"What happened?" Cissy asked.
"Is she coming back?" Sirius asked, hopefully.
"We can't be here if she comes back," Bella whispered to Cissy.
"You can't be here if she comes back. I'll stay here for a little while."
"Perfect timing, the Dark Lord is calling," Bella said, her expression growing more mad than normal. Bella used the power of the Dark Mark to teleport to his side.
"What happened to her?" Sirius asked, pointing at Hermione, his voice flat.
"I will work on healing her as much as I can, then I will have to leave. Is there a room I can bring her to? She will need to rest."
"Follow me." Sirius brought Cissy to Artemis' old room, which had previously been hidden.
"Sirius?" Hermione questioned faintly.
"Get some rest," he told her softly but warmly.
Cissy worked on healing Hermione giving her various potions and healing charms.
"I believe that is all I can do. In twelve hours, give her two vials of this potion. After that whenever she wakes up for the next week. Goodbye Sirius."
"How did I get here?" Hermione asked Sirius when she woke up. "And where is here?"
"Bellatrix and Narcissa brought you here. I don't know where you were before that." Hermione nodded with understanding.
"Do you want to tell me anything else that happened?"
"Not right now," Hermione said quietly, her left arm beginning to shake remembering what happened.
"That's alright, can I get you anything?"
But before Hermione could respond, Sirius heard a voice downstairs.
Artemis last remembered Molly Weasley casting the spell that trapped her in the Black House Tapestry at Black Manor. She was now coming out of the tapestry at Grimmauld Place.
"Hello!?... Mother? … Anyone?"
"Artemis!" Sirius was coming down a staircase.
"Merlin, you look older! How long has it been? Have you found her?"
"That would be because I am older, older than you in fact. It's been almost sixteen and a half years. And sort of?"
"Sort of!? How can you sort of find a person?"
"Hidden in plain sight and I just realized who she was about an hour ago, that's how. She was raised by muggles in Kensington and has been named Hermione Jean Granger."
"Jean? That's Lily's middle name."
"Who is she?" Harry asked, pointing at Artemis, having just apparated into Grimmauld Place.
"Harry," she stared at the son of Lily with an awed expression.
"No, he's Harry, your name is Artemis," Sirius explained slowly then broke out into a grin.
Artemis rolled her eyes at her brother.
"What? All of the name jokes are targeted at me, it was your turn," he said petulantly.
"Who are you? I got the name, but…"
"Lady Artemis Black, his older sister."
"I didn't know you had a sister."
"Neither did he for a while."
"She went away one day, I assume into the Black House Tapestry thing, and everyone forgot about her until today."
"My spell was used against me, a few of my spells actually. One that made everyone forget me, and one that trapped me in the tapestry. I assume everyone forgot about me until undeniable evidence to the contrary was given, thus seeing me on the tapestry reminded you," she pointed to Sirius. "I was trapped in the tapestry until the other spell was released as the two were bound together to conserve the power of the witch that did this to us," her voice turning cold and hateful when talking about Molly Weasley.
"Us?" Harry asked.
"She kidnapped my daughter, too. But she is safe, she's here, it will be okay," she told herself.
"Wait! Hermione?"
"Yes," a smile growing on her face. "Can I see her, Sirius?"
"Of course, she's your daughter and this is your house."
"How did mother die?" showing curiosity, understanding what Sirius meant when he stated this was her house.
Sirius chuckled at her response.
"You're happy that your mother is dead?" Harry asked, hopefully.
"Who wouldn't be happy that Walburga Black is dead? You know, I think she killed father. And Arcturus too. We both know about Alphard."
"Nothing seems impossible when talking about our mother."
"You put her in my room?" Artemis asked when they reached the door to Hermione.
"I assume that's okay with you," he said with a knowing smirk.
"Is she awake?"
"She was when she sent her Patronus."
"What do I do?" realization dawning on her.
"Introduce yourself," Sirius offered. "Hermione is one the kindest witches I've ever met. You should hear her talking about creature rights, but she can tell you all about that."
"She sounds like Lily. Harry, you're here, are Lily and James out of hiding?"
"Lily and James Potter are dead," Hermione said softly and confused, having just opened the door of the room she was staying in.
"What?"
"They died the night you disappeared coincidentally enough," Sirius said sadly.
"What happened?"
"I'll go fetch Remus and we can catch you up downstairs."
"If you wanted to play fetch, all you had to do was ask."
Sirius stared at his sister, then transformed into Padfoot.
"If you don't mind my asking, who are you?" Hermione asked shyly.
"Artemis Black."
"I thought it was Lady Artemis Black," Harry smirked at her.
"That works too, so does Lady Artemis Dolohova née Black, but that's a bit of a mouthful."
"Dolohova? Like Dolohov?"
"Let's start walking, have to meet Sirius and Remus," Harry tried to keep the peace between the two witches.
"I am married to Antonin Dolohov, I am also your mother," she said cautiously as she was walking down the stairs.
"How did you know about Dolohov?" Harry asked, surprised.
"Dolohova sounds Russian, and Russian names are patronymic, so there would be a different version for males and females."
Hermione, who had been the last of the three of them, stopped. "Did you say you were my mother?"
"We can talk about that downstairs, with Sirius and Remus."
"Did you know, Harry? That she was my mother!"
"Not much longer than you have, I thought she deserved the chance to tell you herself?"
"Artemis, it's good to see you again," Remus greeted his friend.
"Remus, I'm glad to see you again."
"It's been too long."
"For you, perhaps. Personally, I saw you a few days ago. I believe you were snogging my brother," she smirked at the couple.
"I believe you are correct," Remus said, blushing.
"I know I'm correct. You came over for our New Moon parties. I went to get drinks so we could reminisce about everyone we were missing, but when I got back, the two of you were snogging."
"That seems like a good starting point, would you like to explain what happened the next few days?" Harry asked, looking between Artemis and Sirius.
"Sirius and Remus were two of the three people I regularly saw at that point, the other being my husband in Azkaban. My daughter had been kidnapped, Lily was in hiding, James too, Cissy was busy with Draco, Bella was on missions, and Dromeda was in hiding with Ted. But on the thirty-first, Molly Weasley came into Black Manor. She wanted revenge for her brothers' death, admitting to kidnapping my daughter. I'm not sure what her plan was at that point, but she saw some of my spells written down on the table. The first one made everyone forget about whatever the spell hits, but it hadn't been used on much, never mind a person. She found one that somehow stuck me in the tapestry. I'm not sure how, but she linked the spells together. Those spells were nowhere near ready to be shown to anyone. I woke up about an hour ago in the tapestry until I figured out how to get out. I think you can put the rest together."
"The same day that you disappeared, James and Lily's hiding spot was attacked. He killed James, then Lily. Harry somehow rebounded the curse, he was gone. I went, saw everything, Hagrid took Harry. I confronted the traitor, he made it look like I killed him and twelve Muggles. I went to Azkaban for betraying my best friends," emotion clear in Sirius' voice. Artemis hugged her brother.
"What happened?"
"I didn't get a trial. I saw Pettigrew in the Prophet, so I escaped. He was pretending to be the familiar of Harry and Hermione's friend. Where is Ron?"
"He left a few weeks ago," Hermione told them.
"He went to look for Horcruxes on his own," Harry insisted.
"How many Horcruxes does Voldemort have?" Artemis asked.
Hermione grabbed Harry and apparated away.
"There's a taboo on his name," Sirius informed his sister.
A few men in mock-Death Eater robes appeared next to them in Grimmauld Place.
"What business do you have saying the Dark Lord's name?" one of them asked.
"That's Sirius Black and Remus Lupin," another one said.
'Why didn't you leave?' Artemis projected to her brother.
'Neither of us has wands, I can explain later,' Sirius projected back.
"And you'll be leaving them alone."
"Why would we leave them?" the first man sneered at her.
"I assume you've, if not experienced, have heard of Bellatrix Lestrange?" Sirius asked the three men.
Each one nodded, memories flooding their faces.
"She taught Bella all she knows."
"So you'll take me to your Dark Lord, and leave them alone?" Artemis asked, smirking at the men.
"Yes," one of them said.
"Find your Godchildren, bring them to where I was living last. I'll see you soon," Artemis smiled at her brother and friend.
"Lady Black, it has been a while."
"Lord Voldemort. I assume that our alliance continues. Speaking of, I seek to call on said alliance to rid your ranks of a traitor."
"A traitor, you say?"
"Peter Pettigrew, he betrayed by brother. By doing so, he betrayed my House."
"He followed my instructions; do you question my authority?"
"Perhaps our interests are no longer aligned enough to warrant an alliance."
"You are aware that if our alliance were to end, you would become an enemy."
"I believe I have more allies amongst your ranks than you are aware. Assume you can kill me, what then? My House would be led by my daughter."
'Carina Hermione Dolohova,' she projected to Voldemort.
"I assume you can see the ramifications?"
"And if I kill her as well?"
'You'll have a harder time killing her than you did Harry Potter,' Artemis projected.
"The House would go to my husband."
"One of my Death Eaters."
"Who would have just seen his wife and child murdered."
"What do I need your House's support for anyway?"
"Every Death Eater and ally you have is a Black."
"And how far back would you need to go?"
"Not really an issue for the witch who was trapped inside the Black family magic for sixteen and a half years."
"Who is after your husband in the House?"
"So you do plan on killing me?"
"Nagini," he ordered his snake. Nagini began wrapping around Artemis.
"Sirius then Bellatrix."
"Sso ssnake are you going to kill me?" Artemis asked in Parseltongue while removing a vial of basilisk venom from her robes.
"Perhaps," the snake responded.
"You speak Parseltongue?" Voldemort asked.
She poured the vial on the snake.
"Not naturally." Artemis pointed her wand at Voldemort.
"Avada Kedavra."
"Does anyone take issue with what I just did?" Artemis addressed the hall of Death Eaters.
"And if we do?" Malfoy asked though Artemis was sure he didn't.
"You will be removed from the House of Black."
"Is that all?" one of the Death Eaters asked.
"I thought you were more attached to your magic?"
"You said the House of Black," a new voice pointed out.
"I did. Suffice it to say, we are the Noble and Most Ancient House for a reason."
After letting that resonate, she gave her first request.
"Now, I would like to see Peter Pettigrew. I would be ever so grateful if he was brought to me." Over the next few minutes, most of the Death Eaters left. Some went to hunt down Pettigrew, while others went to their families.
"It is good to see you again, Artemis," Bella added.
"I'm sorry for how that went, Bella. I know you enjoyed following him."
"My loyalties have always been to this family."
"I have never questioned that. It's been too long since I have seen any of you."
"I am glad you are back," Cissy told Artemis. "You should meet Draco, well, re-meet him."
"Does that mean I have to talk to your husband?" Artemis complained.
"Yes, Black. It does," Lucius told her.
"Malfoy, how have you been? I have no idea how to address you, so I'm going to use that as an excuse as long as possible."
"It's Lord Malfoy now, my father died ten years ago."
"She didn't know grandfather died?" Draco asked, suspicious.
"She disappeared about seventeen years ago," Narcissa informed him.
"You look like your father did at your age."
"Thank you."
"Your father and I were in the same year in Hogwarts. We were something of rivals if you will. Though, I'm not sure if Malfoy ever won. I mean there was our duel first year, I won that. Then, of course there was-"
"I think that is enough, Black," Lucius stopped her.
"If you insist. I do have a rat to deal with, but first I have to introduce myself to my daughter. Cissy, bring Draco by Black Manor some time. We need to catch up."
"Black Manor? I don't think I've been there," Draco told his mother.
"It's near our Manor, but we've all forgotten anything to do with Artemis until she reappeared."
