"Ow, ow, ow!" Peter winced, snapping his eyes shut as Bruce's hands examined his definitely dislocated right shoulder.
"I thought you were on house arrest, why were you in the suit?" Bruce's voice hit his ears, and he opened his eyes to see the face of the man who at this point, should just get a M.D and make it official.
"Well, Mr. Wilson and his friend Torres, they got me out of it till my trial, and my lawyer said it was okay for me to use the suit if I didn't do anything to smear my reputation any more, which isn't really fair, since this whole mess isn't my-" Peter got cut off from his rambling by another hiss of pain, this time from his probably broken nose.
"Fault?"
"Yeah, that," Peter blinked away the stars that had clouded up in his vision, "and I didn't do that, I just got into a fight with those bank robbers. They weren't happy to see me."
Bruce passed him an ice pack, "hold that on your shoulder. I'll be right back to set your nose and realign your shoulder, I've just gotta take care of someone else."
"You replaced me in the six months I was out of commission?" Peter gasped dramatically, putting his left hand on his chest, "I'm hurt, Dr. Banner. Emotionally and physically."
"You spent too much time around Tony," Bruce sighed before looking over at Peter, "with everyone recruiting teenagers left and right, you're not the only person I have to patch up with my lack of a doctorate."
"Wait, who else are you patching up?" Peter questioned, letting his curiosity get the better of him as the ice pack slid down from his shoulder.
"Hawkeye brought her in. Her name's Kate Bishop. She's a couple years older than you," Bruce explained before gesturing to the ice pack, "ice pack, shoulder. She's fully human as far as I know, so I'll fix you first, but I gotta make sure I don't need to call Helen for back-up."
Peter returned the ice pack to his right shoulder to appease Bruce, although it actually felt pretty good, before asking. "Can I meet her? After we're both...you know."
"If she's up for it, yes," Bruce nodded before getting up, "stay here. Let FRIDAY know if you need me."
Peter nodded, waiting until Bruce left to transfer the ice pack from his shoulder to his face and relaxing as soon as the cold touched it and started to numb the pain. "That's so much better." He mumbled to himself.

"Another burning building?! You jumped out of it?!"
"Look, I was just trying to help those people!"
"And now you've got enough injuries to rival Cooper after a baseball game! Which I was at until you jumped out of a burning building!"
"Can you just listen to me?!"
"I'm the adult, you're the kid! And this conversation is over!"
"I'm an adult too- oh, turning your hearing aid off, real mature." Kate sneered as the man reached up to his ear and flicked the device off as the doors opened to reveal Bruce Banner. As much as Kate wanted to fangirl, however, the definite broken knee and her anger towards Clint was keeping her from doing so, "he turned his hearing aid off to get out of a conversation."
Bruce nodded, signing something to Clint before turning to Kate, "you should learn ASL if you're gonna keep working with him. Helps you win arguments even if he wants to cut it off."
"We weren't arguing! He was getting pissed off at me for no good reason!" Kate defended herself as the man gently examined her left arm, making her wince.
"Burning building," Clint enunciated the words before adding, "I turned it back on so you couldn't say something that wasn't true."
Kate sighed, shaking her head which sent a searing pain to the burn on her forehead, before turning back to Bruce, "how bad is it?"
"You've definitely got a broken wrist, a broken knee and a second degree burn on your forehead. You're fully human, right?" She nodded in agreement, making the burn light up again, "Okay, depending on what the x-rays say, this is gonna take six to eight weeks to heal."
Kate groaned as she saw Clint smirk out of the corner of her eye, "just say it. I'm an idiot for jumping out of a burning building and you're gonna drill it into my head every day while I heal."
"There will be plenty of time to do that during your recovery time," Clint shrugged before holding out his hand for her to hold onto to, "besides, we've all done stupid things to save people. No one died, thanks to you."
Kate couldn't stop from smiling at the rare praise. Bruce fastened a splint to her arm, and she realized right then and there that it was the reason Clint had offered his hand. "Ow!"
"Okay, you're gonna get some x-rays, and I've gotta patch up another vigilante," Bruce rubbed his eyes before standing up, "but if you're up to it, he wants to meet you afterwards."
"If you let Spider-Man rub off on you, you're gonna kill me before I'm fifty, do you understand me?" Clint demanded, but Kate was more focused on the fact that she was in the same building as Spider-Man.
"I'm up for it! I'm one thousand percent up for it!" Kate nodded furiously, hearing Clint groan as she focused all of her attention on Bruce Banner.
"We've really gotta stop recruiting kids."

"Alright, Peter," Bruce smiled as he tightened the sling, "you are good to go. Or to see Kate, who is very much interested in meeting you. Seemed like a big fan."
Peter nodded as he stood up, making a mental note not to do that in order to irritate his nose any more; at the same time, however, his stomach was fluttering. He had never met another superhero who was excited to meet him aside from Tony, and definitely not one who was around his age.
He followed Bruce to the room down the hall and into the room, watching as one of the other doctors on staff, whose last name was Rodriguez, finished bracing Kate's knee.
Speaking of Kate, despite the burns and broken bones, she immediately looked up with a smile when her gaze met his.
"Hey, S-Spider-Man," she stuttered before clearing her throat, "I'm Kate. Kate Bishop. Big fan."
"More like a big pain in my side." He heard Clint mumble under his breath, but ignored it in favor of offering his hand out to Kate.
"Peter Parker," Peter offered her a fistbump due to both of them having injuries to their arms before sitting down next to her, "so, you're like the new Hawkeye, right?"
"If she stops acting reckless and forcing me out of retirement."
"He's angry at me," Kate waved him off, "because I saved lives in the city."
"You jumped out of a burning building."
"You sound like Mr. Stark," Peter turned to Clint before turning back to Kate, "I've been doing this for a couple years now, I'm happy to give pointers that don't sound like an overbearing father."
"I'm totally down for that," Kate nodded before hissing as soon as Bruce Banner started to clean the burn on her forehead, "but, it'll have to be awhile. We're both kinda busted at the moment."
Peter couldn't stop himself from laughing, even though he knew that he would be healed in a matter of days while Kate was going to be injured for a lot longer.
"Later, then."
