Mount Justice, Day…
It had been several days now since the medical emergency, and Cameron had finally been given a clean bill of health.
"The infection is gone, your injuries have healed nicely, and your body temperature is back to normal for you." Black Canary nodded. "That means you're in the clear."
Cameron ripped his sheets off and stood up. "Finally."
"If you start feeling sick again, you need to tell me straight away, alright?" Black Canary warned with a hard look.
Cameron nodded without really paying attention. "Alright, time to get some grub!"
He promptly jogged towards the kitchen causing Canary to shake her head. "Kids."
As he jogged down the hall, he nearly bumped into Ben. "Whoa!"
He managed to twist around him just barely avoiding the guy and regain his balance.
"Cameron? Are you supposed to be out of bed?" Ben questioned.
Cameron smiled. "Just got the release papers this morning."
"That's great to hear." Ben nodded. "Maybe they'll let you take the collar off soon to." Cameron's smile fell slightly as he glanced down at the black collar around his neck. "Look, they've not done it to be mean."
Cameron sighed. "I know. It's just that…"
"It's just what?" Wonder Girl asked sharply as she walked towards them.
Cameron narrowed his eyes at the demigoddess. "It's none of your business, so leave me alone."
He brushed past Cassandra.
"Dude!" Ben yelled, but Cameron continued his brisk pace down the hall.
"Your business becomes my business when you're a threat to my team!" Wonder Girl called out.
"Cassandra, you're out of line." Ben stated firmly.
"What!?" Wonder Girl asked shocked. "I'm out of line?"
"Yes, you're out of line." Ben retorted. "I get that he was a criminal; however, that's all he'll be unless we give him the chance to change." He flashed his Omnitrix. "I mean, just look at me. Remember the day we meet. Remember what I told you."
"That's different…" Cassandra argued feebly.
"I'm not arguing that his and my situations aren't different." Ben lowered his arm. "I'm only arguing that people who mistrusted me still gave me a chance. I wasn't bombarded every chance they got with negative emotions. Those aren't going to help.
Additionally, I know you learned I knew about the mole situation; however, I don't hold any of that against you. To me, you had every right to be just as angry as anyone else. That means you can take it from me when I say you aren't being fair to Cameron."
"Fair?" Cassandra asked. "You want me to be fair with him?"
"What I want is for you to stop jumping him every chance you get." Ben stated. "By this point, if none of us knew nothing about him, I'm certain we'd know he was a criminal." He took a deep breath. "Cassandra, if you expect the worst of someone, that's what you'll end up getting."
Ben then walked away.
With the Rest of the Team
Despite the Cave's size, only one room was suited for training. That, coupled with the team's growing numbers, meant they had to rotate into two pairs every half-hour. Currently, Dick was dueling Ryuko while Kyle was squaring off with Gwen.
Conner, M'gann, and Wally were watching from one side of the room while Captain Marvel, with Zatara, observed from the other side. Cameron walked in just as the current pairs were wrapping up their sessions.
"Hey guys." He greeted.
"Hey." Robin greeted back.
Superboy approached him. "Did Black Canary deem you healthy?"
"Yes mom." Cameron rolled his eyes. "She gave me the thumbs up." Superboy smiled as the former criminal noticed an enormous, white wolf enter the room. "Can I ask what in the heck that is?"
"Oh, that's a wolf mutated by Neo Venom." Superboy replied. "I met him on our last mission, and we ended up bonding. Now, he's my pet named Wolf."
"Considering what I've heard some of the other things in this place called, that name checks out." Cameron commented.
"I know, right?" Kyle grinned as he joined them. "Odd thing is, Conner wasn't even the one to name the four things we got with such names."
At that moment, Ben and Wonder Girl walked into the room with the latter having a disgruntled expression about her. She then glared at Cameron. Her glare eventually turned to the mentors nearby.
"If Zatara is our babysitter, then why is he still here?" Cassandra asked pointing to Captain Marvel who was eating a bag of chips. "Also, why is he eating my snacks!?"
After Red Tornado's betrayal, the league had begun rotating one of its members to watch over the team weekly; however, Captain Marvel was here most days. Even during weeks where he wasn't scheduled, it wouldn't be odd to see him at least three days a week.
Cameron couldn't help but snort loudly which earned him another glare. "Serves her right. I suppose karma had to kick in sometime."
"Recognized: Batman A02"
"Computer, national news." The Dark Knight declared as he entered the Cave.
Immediately, a holographic screen appeared showing Metropolis. More specifically, it showed a giant plant toppling a building in Metropolis. Superman and several members of the Justice League were quick to arrive and destroy the plant; however, two more sprouted up.
The image dissolved into chaos, and Superboy's fist tightened at his sides as he not only witnessed his city getting attacked, but also a fleeting image of Lois Lane-Kent, his mother, dodging a falling piece of debris. He calmed down as he saw Superman rescue her.
"Over the last several hours, these plants have attacked cities across the world." Batman began. "They started with cities known to have superheroes based there. While there have been no deaths, property damage and injuries are high."
"Are we getting sent out with the League?" Robin asked eagerly.
Most of the team were making their excitement show. The thought of finally getting to fight alongside the Justice League was something that enticed them. Well, Cameron kept a cool head since he didn't think Batman would let him fight.
Much to their disappointment, the Dark Knight shook his head. "The League has the situation in hand. I have a different mission for you. According to your intel, Sportsmaster supplied the Cadmus Blockbuster-formula to the Forever Knights."
A picture of Sportsmaster, Blockbuster, and the Forever Knights appeared with red lines that connected the three.
"They combined that formula with Bane's Venom to create Neo Venom." Wonder Girl summarized.
Cameron's eyes widened. "If what I've seen in prison was anything to go by, those are some heavy-duty steroids. I suppose I can at least be thankful that these collars suppressed that type of strength in certain people."
"The Brain used this Neo Venom to create his animal army." Bushido continued.
"As well as upgrade Wolf." Superboy added while patting his new pet on the head affectionately.
"First, he had to modify it for use on animals." Robin interjected. "The original Neo Venom was specifically designed to affect Human physiology."
"The Brain also used inhibitor-collars." Miss Martian continued. "Exactly like the ones at Belle Reve."
Cameron shuddered as the collar he was thankful existed mere seconds ago suddenly felt very cold against his skin. "If you really wanted to, you could make anyone your slave with these things."
"If you're bringing this up, is it safe to say another version of Neo Venom is being used on those plants?" Lucky Girl guessed.
Batman nodded. "We ran an analysis, and that is the case."
"That makes sense." Miss Martian stated. "If The Brain could change Venom to affect animals, why not plants?"
"The odds of all these unrelated criminals working together by chance is extremely unlikely." Ben stepped forward. "Even less so when spread across the globe like this."
"Exactly." Batman stated. "It's almost certain that our enemies have joined forces to create a secret society of supervillains. I'm almost positive that this won't stop at cities with heroes alone."
Batman was going to continue until every screen was suddenly awash in static.
"What's happening?" Kid Flash asked.
Robin was typing furiously at his holo-computer. "Someone's cutting into the satellite signal… all the satellite signals!"
After another second, the screens revealed an image, but not the ones of cities being attacked. Instead, each screen showed a Transylian that Gwen and Ben were familiar with. Dr. Viktor. He wore the cloak of the Werewolf and bandages from the Mummy strategically around his body.
"People of earth and those unaffiliated with us, we bring you a message from the Injustice League." Dr. Viktor declared.
The camera was moved to show six additional figures. The first of these was Black Adam. He is a muscular powerhouse with short black hair and pointed ears. He wears a skintight black uniform with yellow boots, a sash, and a golden lightning bolt insignia on his chest.
Next was Poison Ivy who has long red hair, green eyes, a pale green skin tone, and wears a green outfit that resembles a one-piece bathing suit. Third was Sorcerer Wotan. He has light blue skin and red eyes with black sclera. His hair is black as is his pointy black beard.
Wotan's clothes are red, and he wears a black cape with gold accents. Then, there was Cheetah who was a genetically modified human/cheetah hybrid. The fifth was another person Ben and Gwen were familiar with in the form of Rojo.
She wore strikingly similar armor to the Forever Ninja; however, her face and hair were revealed with only a knightly head piece around the face. Lastly, there was a regal man with white hair. He wore black, green, and gold clothing while carrying a gold-topped cane.
"We are responsible for the attacks on your cities." Count Vertigo declared. "These attacks will continue until we are paid ten billion American dollars. Delivery instructions have been sent to the United Nations. There is no time limit; however, the longer your governments delay…"
"…the more fun we get to have tearing through your homes." Rojo finished.
The screens dissolved into static once more leaving the cave filled with unsettled heroes.
Robin used the Cave's computers to rewind the broadcast and zoomed in on the villains.
"Black Adam." Captain Marvel declared with a scowl as he had a deep dislike for his evil counterpart.
"Cheetah." Wonder Girl frowned. "Wonder Woman wondered where she ended up disappearing to."
"Dr. Viktor." Ben commented. "I thought he was lost to space after our last encounter. Guess not, and now we know what seems to have happened to the Werewolf and Mummy."
"Poison Ivy." Ion said. "That does explain the plant aspect."
"Rojo." Lucky Girl supplied. "I'd heard she broke out of jail a few years back."
"Don't forget Wotan." Zatara informed. "His magic is quite dangerous compared to charlatans like Abra Kadabra."
"Besides them, there's also Count Vertigo." Robin said. "If the information we got from Ben and Gwen is correct, that's seven heavy hitters. They must be responsible for everything we've faced since Cadmus."
"Why would they come out of hiding now?" Miss Martian asked.
"Probably so that the team or the league couldn't hit them first." Bushido reasoned. "After India, they might have thought that now was a good time to step out of the shadows."
Batman turned to the team. "The only way these plants could be attacking simultaneously is with a central-control of some kind. Your mission is to find and destroy it."
Zatara looked at Batman apprehensively. "You know what they'll be up against, right?"
Batman nodded. "They're ready."
"Ready for what?" Kid Flash asked.
"Just think about it." Ben replied. "If the league is fighting the plants, who do you think we'll be fighting?"
Understanding dawned in Kid Flash's eyes. "Oh…"
Zatara sighed. "Well Batman, I trust you are correct."
"I trust you can locate the enemy." Batman replied smoothly.
"Indeed. Wotan's involvement suggests that sorcery is involved in how the plants are controlled." He turned to the boy wonder. "Robin, if you would provide the holo-map. Etacol retnecipe fo yrecros!" A dot appeared on the East Coast. "That is where you'll find the Injustice League."
"Coordinates locked." Robin confirmed. "The Louisiana Bayou."
"That means we're on our way." Ben declared.
"Before you go, you'll need all hands for this mission." Batman walked over to Cameron. "This will be your first mission on parole."
He reached up and pressed a button on his collar. Cameron gave a soft gasp as his collar hissed and cracked open before slipping from his neck and into his out stretched hands. A sensation like a cool breeze rippled across his skin, and he looked back up at Batman.
"You can't trust him Batman!" Wonder Girl argued.
Batman paid her no mind. "The newly dubbed Omni-X, Ben, will be acting as your parole officer. Do what he says when he says. Understood?"
He walked back to the Zeta Tube with Zatara and Captain Marvel following.
"U-understood." Cameron stuttered in shock.
Batman nodded before all three were engulfed in golden light.
Happy Harbor
Unbeknownst to the covert ops team, plants had sprouted up the moment they left Happy Harbor. As plants attacked the city, people were panicking. Fortunately, two young heroes were quickly on the scene to fight them and save lives.
The first was a teenage, Russian male with buzz cut blond hair and blue eyes. He wore more casual, green Russian fatigues with a red star on the front. The other was an African American teenage female who wore a black suit underneath orange armor.
They often didn't have much reason to be heroes considering Happy Harbor was usually a calm city, and other crimes out there were handled by the other heroes. When they were needed, these two never shied away from their duty. They were Red Star and Naomi.
The latter's name worked so far since no one really associated this Naomi with her civilian self. Red Star took to firing his fire like energy down on the plants, withering them, while Naomi ripped the plants from the ground depriving them of their source.
Bioship
In the spirit of his new name, Omni-X had ditched his body suit in favor of blue jeans, a black shirt, and a green jacket with white accents. A matching, white x was on the right side. He figured if Superboy could pull off just changing clothes, he could do the same.
Though, he had also considered Omni-10, but his watch had more than just ten aliens. As such, he figured the X could be used as the stand in for the number of aliens he may end up having. As for Cameron, he wore a black tank top and matching jeans.
Speaking of the former criminal, he was twitchy. To be fair, they were off to the Louisiana Bayou to face off with some of the most dangerous criminals to some of the strongest heroes. None of those heroes would be there. Nope, that was up to this team which he was part of.
"Holy Crap, I'm going against every single thing I've ever been taught!" Cameron screamed internally.
Robin noticed his current state, so he reached over only to retract his hand when Cameron generated an ice spike. "Woah!"
"God, you scared me!" Cameron gasped.
He placed a hand over his now racing heart and let the spike crumble off his shoulder.
"Sorry about that." Robin stated genuinely. "I was just trying to tell you you're getting frost all over the seat."
He pointed down at the floor and surrounding area that was now dusted with snowy patterns.
"Oh." Cameron sighed as he brushed some of it away only to notice Robin looking at him. "What?"
"You seem anxious." The boy wonder stated bluntly.
"Oh really? I hadn't noticed." Cameron muttered.
"Listen, when it comes to missions, you can't be distraught." Robin replied simply. "You have to get traught."
"Much easier said than done bird brain." Cameron grumbled as he ran his hand through his snowy hair.
"Trust me, it'll be much easier when we get there." Robin stated as he clasped a hand to his shoulder before moving back to his seat.
Cameron rolled his eyes. "We'll see about that."
Louisiana
Rojo was taking some enjoyment from causing so much chaos. Granted, she'd prefer to be out there causing it, but this was a close second. Several screens showed the fruits of this team's labor, and you couldn't really argue with that.
"This isn't half bad." Rojo stated joyfully.
Behind her, Count Vertigo chuckled. "It's exactly what we need to do."
"Yes, but we're putting considerable strain on my baby." Poison Ivy stated.
She used her powers to strengthen the roots of the Master-Plant which filled most of the base.
"We will keep her healthy, Ivy." Wotan promised. "Still, she requires more power. Dr. Viktor, charge up the batteries again."
"Understood." Viktor stated firmly.
The Transylian walked up to a large, metal device that was hooked up to the plant before discharging his electricity into it. A few seconds later, the circuitry woven into the plant began to glow.
Count Vertigo watched as the Master-Plant swelled with power. "It's amazing what a little teamwork can accomplish." The base began to ring with proximity alarms. "Intruders have arrived!"
Black Adam cracked his knuckles. "Finally, something to kill."
Louisiana Bayou
The Team was tense as the bioship flew them, plus Wolf and Sphere, into the lion's den. Eager to take his mind off the fact that he would be in the fight of his life, Kid Flash looked around for a conversation starter.
His eyes eventually fell on what lay at Omni's feet. "Dude, what's in the duffel?"
"It's something I worked out with Superboy and Ms. Martian." Omni replied. "It's also why Sphere is here. From prior experience, I know how strenuous fighting a group can be. That's why we got backup." Ms. Martian groaned and reached up to rub her head. "What's wrong?"
"Dizzy." She murmured while looking confused.
"Martians get air sick?" Robin asked with a cheeky grin.
"She does look a bit greener than usual…" Wally commented.
"Not me, the bioship." Ms. Martian explained. "She's trying to shield us but…"
Suddenly, something struck the ship from below sending them pinwheeling wildly through the air.
"Everyone, hold on!" Omni shouted.
With a jarring crash, the Bioship slammed into the bayou. the team quickly recovered, but before Omni could ask how everyone was doing, a tearing sound was heard above them. It was revealed to be Black Adam who tore open a hole in its back.
Superboy acted by jumping and slamming his fist into Black Adam's face knocking him away. Now that he was gone, vines wrapped around the Bioship dragging them down and letting water rush into the ship rapidly.
"Alright, time for the first portion of our backup." Omni declared. "Ship, do your thing! Ms. Martian, help with the shift and get us out of here."
The doglike, Galvanic Mechamorph came from the duffle bag and instantly merged with the Bioship. Ms. Martian held onto the controls and helped Ship bring out blades that tore through the vines. Then, Bioship sped to land while ejecting the water.
"Miss Martian, link us up! Ship, be ready to fully imitate back up on Ms. Martian's command." Omni yelled as he began looking for an alien to use, but not transforming just yet. "Everyone, get out and stick to the plan!"
The Bioship opened its back hatch allowing the team to pile out. When they stepped onto solid ground, they were greeted by Count Vertigo, Black Adam, Cheetah, and Rojo.
"Robin, Miss M, and Bushido, disappear!" Back on the ship, Omni had chosen a Thep Khufan and now slammed the face plate down. "Snare-oh!"
Black Adam came in swinging at Ion, but he managed to ascend in time to dodge. Seeing a threat to his 'pack', Wolf jumped forward and clamped his jaws onto Black Adam's arm. Despite his physical resistances, Wolf had been strong enough to hurt Superboy.
As such, the mutated animal's jaws broke skin. Black Adam screamed in pain and backhanded Wolf into a tree. For his part, Wolf took a piece of his costume and drew blood before being knocked out.
"Superboy, you and I will take Black Adam." Omni stated. "Lucky Girl, you take Vertigo. Wonder Girl, you and Ion got Cheetah. Kid Flash and Cameron, take down Rojo."
Furious that Black Adam hit his wolf, Superboy charged at the villain who prepared to knock him away. Snare-oh was there to wrap his bandages around the villain holding him in place.
"This is for hitting my wolf!" Superboy snarled.
He punched Black Adam in the face sending him flying. Snare-oh held his bandages tight before slamming him into the ground. Superboy lept into the air and came down hard on the man's stomach with both feet. He then hammer fisted into the man's head rendering him unconscious.
Snare-oh then tied the man's body while ensure his mouth was covered. Basically, he couldn't say that magic word to revert to his normal form and wouldn't be escaping unless someone let him out.
Lucky Girl squared off with Vertigo who attempted to use his Vertigo Effect on her, but the magic user's eyes glowed golden. "Sorry Vertigo, but spells meant to counteract negative bodily affects were among the first my mentor taught me."
She approached the villain who growled as he moved to club her with his cane. "That's Count Vertigo to…"
Lucky Girl slipped past his guard and elbowed the man in the gut winding him. She then grabbed the man by the arm before flipping him over her shoulder and into the ground. As a final touch, she kicked the man in the head rendering him unconscious.
"Anyone who uses their power the ways you do doesn't deserve the tittle." Lucky Girl declared.
Kid Flash ran at Rojo only for her armor to plant her firmly in the ground. He didn't even move her, and he was sent reeling back from the impact. She then lept forward planting a powerful kick into his chest sending the speedster hurtling into a tree.
"Kid Flash!" Cameron yelled.
Rojo was in front of him with a smirk. "He got off easy compared to what I'll do to you."
Cameron just barely managed to stumble back before Rojo removed his head with a nasty haymaker. He then let his ice erupt over his skin producing his natural armor.
"Let's see how that fancy suit of yours deals with some ice!" Cameron shouted.
He gave a blast of ice at Rojo, and while it was roughly point blank, she was still able to avoid the full blast. Her entire right arm fell to her side though coated in ice. Kid Flash then came back around and jumped planting both his feet firmly into Rojo's chest sending her into a tree.
The pair then approached with Cameron icing over her suit to render it useless. "I hope that suit of yours is heated; otherwise, you're going to have a bad time."
"You're a traitor just like I heard Icicle Jr." Rojo stated.
He punched her lights out. "Tell that to someone who cares what you think."
For Cameron, this felt pretty good. Usually, he never got the leg up on his opponent even when he 'worked together' with another villain. Look at this. He managed to take out an opponent and unintentionally set her up to be taken down.
Cheetah growled, like the animal she had merged with, and stalked towards the remaining young heroes. "You may not be related to Wonder Woman, Wonder Brat, but taking you down will still hurt her." She charged in. "That's good enough for me!"
"Bring it on Cheetah!" Wonder Girl shouted as she charged to meet her.
Almost immediately, Wonder Girl was put on the defensive as she had to use her bracers to block the rapid flurry of claw strikes. Ion was floating around them trying to get a good angle to strike as he didn't want to hurt his teammate.
Eventually, Wonder Girl managed to knock Cheetah back, but she deftly landed on all fours with a grin. "I nicked you."
Wonder Girl looked at her right arm to see a single scratch that was bleeding. Suddenly, Cheetah was ensnared in a sphere of will energy.
Ion floated on down. "True, but I also got you." Cheetah snarled as she begam scratching at the sphere. "Let's finish this Wonder Girl. Get ready for the spike."
Wonder Girl grinned. "You are reading my mind."
She flew into the air and Ion shot the sphere up to her. At the last moment, he removed the sphere allowing Wonder Girl to punch Cheetah in the face sending her hurtling to the ground unconscious.
With Robin, Bushido, and Ms. Martian
The three young heroes moved through the swamp with the latter two following Robin who had his holo-computer out for directions.
"Check it out." The boy wonder pulled back a couple of palms. "Injustice League HQ."
Bushido and Miss Martian looked at a domed building that had vines growing all over it, and a massive plant sprouting from the center.
"That plant must be like an antenna." Bushido said. "It's probably broadcasting commands to the other plants around the world."
"Ms. M, I think it's time we bring in that backup Omni spoke of." Robin stated.
Miss Martian nodded. "I'll get in contact with and tell them to lock onto me."
Suddenly, roots sprouted up from the ground and wrapped around each of them. "Well, hello…" Poison Ivy stepped into the fading light and waved her hand causing three more roots to sprout with ends as sharp as knives. "…and goodbye."
The roots moved to strike them, but Miss Martian used her telekinesis to drag them down cutting through the roots that held them.
"Oh, no you don't!" Ivy shouted.
She dragged up more roots to send at them; however, Robin and Bushido managed to cut them with shuriken while Miss Martian shielded herself with telekinesis.
"You two go on ahead!" Bushido drew both his katanas and duel wielded them. "I'll keep her busy."
"You sure?" Robin asked.
Poison Ivy was part of Batman's rogue's gallery, so he knew how dangerous she could be.
Bushido used his normal katana to knock a root that was coming for him into the air. He then jumped onto it and sprung off it using the momentum to land a powerful kick on Ivy's head.
"Yeah, I'm sure." Bushido stated.
"Understood." Robin looked at Miss Martian. "Let's move!"
As they ran, Miss Martian called in their backup.
With Omni's Group
Snare-oh had just finished binding up the rest of the villains when the Bioship/Ship combination began to morph. The whole group could hear Ship, Bioship, and Sphere making their sounds as they morphed together.
"Don't worry." Miss Martian informed them. "We're fine."
"What's going on?" Cameron asked. "Why did Miss Martian just tell us that?"
"It's just our back up." Snare-oh informed as he transformed normal. "You guys are going to get a kick out of this."
All the mass and abilities between the three ended up producing a Galvanic Mecha.
"Is that a giant, fighting robot?" Kid Flash asked amazed.
"Yep." Omni smiled. "We figured out that sphere could become this really cool bike, and eventually ended up coming up with the idea to combine them."
The mecha took off into the sky and flew in the direction of Ms. Martian.
"I think I get it." Lucky Girl stated. "Bioship has the ability to shift beyond what Ship can manages alone, so they can push through the limits both have. By adding in sphere, you give it a little more mass and technology to work with."
"Exactly." Omni passed some bandages connected to the four villains to Superboy. "Drag them along, and let's set out to meet up with the team."
Injustice HQ
With Rojo having gone to take on the intruders, Wotan had taken over control of the plants with Dr. Viktor still supplying power. At that moment, the team's new mech, which generated its own sword, sliced clean through the plant with one fell swoop.
"What on earth was that?" Wotan questioned.
"It must be the intruders." Dr. Viktor declared.
Suddenly, the doors were blown open by exploding birdarangs drawing the pair's attention. As they walked towards it, Viktor was picked up by telekinesis and knocked into Wotan before the sorcerer could utter a spell. He was out could as Viktor got back to his feet disoriented.
The Transylian looked up just as Robin jumped down from the hole above with Miss Martian. "Inconceivable. Another plan foiled by mere children just like Tennyson. Well, this is not the end!"
"You're right." Robin crossed his arms as the mech's arm crashed through the dome grabbing Viktor. "Now it is."
Viktor let loose with his electricity, but it just wasn't enough. The mecha pulled him out of the observatory before smashing him into the ground. He then pummeled the Dr. into unconsciousness.
With Bushido
Ivy could feel her plant die. "My baby!"
Bushido used the distraction to slam the handle of a katana into her head heard enough to knock her out. "In battle, distractions should be kept to a minimum."
He then picked up the unconscious villainess and moved to meet up with his teammates.
Louisiana
The team came back together with all seven villains packaged for transport.
Omni-X smiled at his teammates. "The day is ours."
At that moment, the Justice League arrived and were stunned to see the team lounging victoriously around the wreaked control center with the Injustice League subdued. Each member was assigned a leaguer to immediately take them into custody.
"We're done here." Batman stated gaining the young hero's attention. "The Villain's secret society has been neutralized. As for your performance… " He trailed off, and Cameron stiffened, waiting for the verbal blow. "… it was satisfactory."
Cameron exchanged a look with Superboy who grinned with a thumbs up. "That must be Batman's way of saying good work."
Suddenly, the former criminal felt like he could belong somewhere if he really wanted to.
Unknown Location
"It seems Ben Tennyson isn't the only danger present on that team." Sevantis narrowed his eyes. "With a team like that, the Coming Storm is more of a danger than I ever thought."
"Well, we have all been known to underestimate this younger generation. Even your mole was just a precaution." Ra's Al Ghul sipped from a cup of wine. "That creation of theirs is quite the powerful tool."
"Lame." Klarion whined from his slumped position on a couch. "That mech wasn't nearly as destructive as it should have been!"
"Gentlemen, please." Vandal Savage entered the room with Albedo on his left and the Brain on the right. "Our proxies have been defeated, and while they may have been useful pawns, their sacrifice means that the Justice League will cease its search for our 'secret society'."
Queen Bee and Lex Luthor both joined the gathering villains.
Then, Cyrus stepped out with Ascalon sheathed at his side. "Now, let the night pass, for with the dawn comes… The Light."
For this chapter, I did not like the version of Joker we got, so I ditched him. Then, I did some replacing and changing to the roster to come up with the team you saw in this chapter. That doesn't mean a team of seven is going to stack up all that well against this version of the team. Ben and Gwen have prior experiance taking on a whole group of ten. Additionally, they are fairly strong people with a wide arsenal to draw from.
As for Snare-oh being able to restrain Black Atom, in Ben ten proper wrapping like this could hold back Omniverse's Ben 10K's fused Humungasaur and Four Arms. While I think Young Justice's Superman could still break out, I think it'd be more than capable of holding Black Atom. If he had time to say Shazam, then Black Atom would have been able to continue the fight; however, a stronger Superboy didn't really give him that time.
We come to the Galvanic Meha. Ben did the exact same thing using just Kevin's car in Omniverse, so it stood to reason that Ship could pull of the same with a little extra mass and help. Hence Sphere and Bioship's inclusion here. Both of those can change as well, so it made sense in my mind. Anyways, I do hope you enjoyed this chapter.

Afan: Wonder Girl was mad because at the time she didn't know if Ben knew about there being a mole. At the time, she just assumed he may not have taken anything from what Sportsmaster said. As for her knowledge, only Ben and Bushido knew she knew. Bushido isn't inclined to speak about it against after seeing how much trouble Ben got for that whole business. Ben's feelings about it are made clear this chapter.
