CH 06 Homecoming
They were greeted with balloons and a cake
"SURPRISE! HAPPY BIRTHDAY AJAX!" Everyone yelled
Lumine asked Tartaglia "is it your birthday?"
Tartaglia laughed and smiled "My birthday?"
He then remembered "Oh yeah! I forgot it was my birthday today... But you know.. Even when it isn't my birthday they always do this whenever I come home, they throw a big welcoming party since I always leave for very long trips. They are always afraid of me not coming back so they always throw these parties just in case one day..."
He was interrupted by a sudden hug from Tonya
"BIG BROTHER! BIG BROTHER! YOU'RE HOME! My brave knight is home" Said Tonya with cheer
"Yes, I am my darling princess." he said as he picked her up
"Remember, a brave knight never breaks his promises" he says proudly as he gives her a present
The little redheaded girl was beaming with joy "For me?" he nodded as he proceeded to put her down
"Of course my sweet princes" he bows
Lumine can't help but to smile at the sweet interaction between Ajax and his little sister, she is then distracted by two running boys that push aside the little girl
"BIG BROTHER! BIG BROTHER!" both say in unison
"what about us?!"
Ajax was a bit overwhelmed by all the attention he was getting from his little siblings, it did made him happy but at the same time he felt really drained from it.
"One at a time please, I'll get to you all"
An young adult woman with gorgeous light orange hair, she is of fair complexion with freckles on her face appeared, she smiled.
"now now children leave your brother alone, can't you see he is tired. A knight also needs to rest children..."
Tartaglia smiled at the young adult female
"Oh come on big sis! they can't help to miss their awesome big brother"
Another tall young man with a built physique and gorgeous bright copper hair wearing heavy winter clothes approached Ajax and shoved him in a brotherly way
"Don't flatter yourself little man" he said as he laughed at Ajax
"BIG BRO OLEZKA! and..." The young harbinger said with a big smile on his face
Patricia became distraught when she saw the other man Olezka came with
Ajax continued
"VIKTOR! It's been so long!"
Viktor smiled "Well I couldn't miss my little brothers birthday I-" he was then interrupted by Patricia
"What?! Viktor is... Viktor... is your brother!? Sylvana why didn't you tell me this!" Said Patricia with agitation in her voice
Sylvana started laughing "You never asked..."
Viktor noticed the panic in Patricia's eyes, with such a deep desire to take advantage of this situation he approached the now timid Blonde woman
"Patricia... Fancy meeting you here"
"Viktor..." She said trying so desperately not to look at him
He noticed her clear discomfort due to his presence and he said in a mocking tone
"Still picking up scraps our majesty throws at you like the dog you are..."
Patricia blushed in shame and Sylvana right away came to her defense
"Viktor I am so glad to see you, you're my flesh and blood and I know you are one of our majesty's favorites alongside the" she noticed Teucer was listening, she stopped herself, watched her words and continued "The "toymakers" but I am not going to let you treat my friend like garbage, come on Patricia let's go"
Sylvana takes Patricia with her
"Must you always be such an asshole, Vik?" Olezka asked Viktor while making a disapproval gesture
"I dislike her, she is such a leech and she has the nerve to show herself here, she seriously didn't knew I was your brother... She knows she is nothing compared to me I bet our majesty keeps her around because she feels sorry for the poor bitch" He said as he laughed in a mocking way.
Tartaglia followed "well you did change your last name and pretty much all your identity to the point of dying your hair black and wearing dark brown eye contacts"
"You know why I did this, Tartaglia..." Responded Viktor in a more serious tone
Tartaglia faintly smiles to try and hide the sadness that started to invade him "I know..."
Olezka staring in disbelief "It's always the same thing... Last year one of Viktor's crazy exes came and tried to..." He stopped himself noticing that the children were still around and said "His crazy ex tried to take all of the toys that Ajax was supposed to sell, So big brother Viktor had to stop her..." before he could continue he asked
"Lidia...?"
"Yes master?!" The pale green haired servant responded
"take the children along with Miss Lumine and her little friend with you." He then approached the three kids "Miss Ekaterina along with Miss Lidia are going to get all the other nice things big brother Ajax, Viktor and myself brought, and once we are done with the boring adult talk we will join you, now run along"
The kids said in unison "YAY! you promise?"
Olezka shows his pinky finger "That's a pinky promise!"
One by one shake pinky fingers with Olezka and leave to accompany Ekaterina and Lidia to get the stuff they brought for them.
Lumine smiled and said "I guess I'll see ya later, don't take too long Ajax"
He smiled at his beloved blonde and said "Don't worry I'll be there with ya soon girlie"
As they saw the children along with Lumine and Paimon leave they continued their talk
Viktor lit up a cigar and sat down in a red velvet chair
"So where were we?"
Ajax smiled "Well we were talking about how one of your crazy exes tried to to ruin last years reunion, poor thing what did you to her man?"
Viktor smirked "I can't help that women are naturally attracted to me, Although there's only one woman I want..."
Olezka started laughing "Wow... you really think you have a chance with her you fool... After all these years and you still think she is going to look at you differently, wow delusion is one hell of a drug, are you hearing this shit, Ajax?"
Childe couldn't help but to smile, he found the thought of his brother being in love with The Tsaritsa quite endearing at the same time sad
"Well one can always dream, but... She is immortal and you... are a mere mortal, how will that work"
Viktor blew some smoke and huffed "hmph! You guys are just jealous..."
Olezka replied with sarcasm "Oh sure... we are totally green with envy"
The three of them started to laugh

Teucer asked Paimon
"How come you can fly Miss Paimon?"
Paimon proudly answered
"Well you see little one... Paimon is a magical and powerful being, I am a powerful goddess but I have to hold my powers back or else you will be sooo scared that you will pee your pants"
Lumine along with Ekaterina and Lidia couldn't help but to laugh at the little fairy's comment.
Paimon noticed and she blushed "HEYY! PAIMON IS SERIOUS!"
Lumine stopped laughing but still trying to hold back from chuckling even more she responded "Alright Paimon we believe you, right ladies?"
The other two trying their mightiest but with no success to hold back the laughter responded with a faint "yes"
Lidia stopped laughing and asked the kids "Okay children who wants to open a present first"
Teucer responded "Let's have Tonya open hers first after all she is a lady and big brother Ajax says that honorable knights let ladies go first"
Anthon replied "That's not fair!"
Tonya smiled "I don't mind if Anthon wants to go first"
Anthon then huffed "Never mind! You go first sister Tonya"
Tonia with a big smile said "Thanks" she then proceeded to open her present
One by one the children opened all their presents, Lidia had a tiresome look in her face thinking of all the mess she is going to clean after the kids were done, she then proceeded to say
"Children Mrs. Olga is going to be here soon for your lessons, please proceed to get ready to see her"
The children with disappointment in their face started to gather their toys, Teucer replied to Lidia "Do we really have to today? it's big brother Ajax's birthday, can't we get the day off today"
Lidia shrugged "No can do young master, Master Olezka is going to let both me and Mrs. Olga have if it you don't do today's lessons, come along young master"
Tonya with defiance said "It's not fair big brother Ajax just arrived and we can't even hang out with him because he is out there with the adults... Now that he may finally come to play with us we won't be able to because we will be stuck with these boring lessons, NOT FAIR!"
Ajax finally entering the room says "What's with all this complaining?"
All the children said in unison "BIG BROTHER AJAX!"
Tonya in a spoiled bratty tone says "These awful ladies don't want us to hang out together big brother, it's not fair! we barely get to see you... Big brother Olezka is also a meanie!"
Olezka started laughing as he heard what his little sister said "Oh come on now Tonya... I am preparing you and our younger siblings for the future, perhaps you may not understand me nor Viktor now but someday you will"
Anthon agreed "He is right Tonya... Big brother Olezka only wants the best for us"
Olezka smiled "Tell you what...once you guys are done with the lessons ill take you all to Schastlivyy tomorrow, I know you guys love that place! deal?"
Tonya with a reluctant look on her face she agrees "Fine you better not lie this time Big brother..."
Olezka smiled "I promise! Also I haven't forgotten our promise to play with you guys, once your lessons are done we can play together, btw..." he then faced Lumine "Miss Traveler how is your stay in Snezhnaya so far? are you enjoying our region?"
Lumine smiled "Yes everyone has been so nice and welcoming"
Viktor then huffed "Yeah all except the roach... I noticed how she was treating you, Lumine was it?"
Olezka shrugging "You really can't give her a break huh, don't mix the traveler with your petty drama with Patricia"
Viktor smirked "I am not mixing anyone in any drama, I just noticed how Patricia was looking and treating the traveler here"
Ajax then interfered "Her name is Lumine..."
Lumine not wanting to be the center of any drama, changed the subject "So... what is this Schastlivyy place?"
The young harbinger responded "Well you see its basically an amusement park but with a contemporary circus, where the only performers are humans. It's usually targeted towards an older audience while the rest of the park is aimed towards kids, But Anthon really enjoys but both Tonya and Teucer fall asleep. Whenever we go I usually go with the kids to the amusement park area while my older siblings go to the contemporary circus part, I love both to be honest. I am a big fan of the opera act they have at the circus."
Lumine smiled "Sounds like fun!"
Paimon complained as she yawned "Sounds boring... Paimon wants to go to the amusement park and eat all the treats!"
Lumine laughed "I don't mind either way... Both sound like a great time to me!"
She then remembered once upon a time in a distant world how her and Aether saw a beautiful opera act in the middle of an infinite starry sky, it was the story of two lost stars that found their way but in the end one of the stars dies while the other star kept going till the end of time, tears started forming in her eyes. She stood up and started to walk towards a window that was far on the corner of the living room that they were all in, Ajax right away noticed this and walked towards her.
He grabbed her shoulder "Hey girlie, is everything okay?"
She faintly replied "Yeah..."
He then held her "You know you can tell me anything..."
Viktor then coughed "AHEM..." noticing the two of them were together in the far corner of the room "There will be plenty of time for that later, Ajax..."
Ajax embarrassed, smiled faintly "Right..." he lets go of Lumine and says "We will talk about this later..." he then kissed her forehead...
He then grabbed her hand and they joined the rest of the family.
