Before this place was used as a base of operations for Azur Lane it used to be a radar station for the Eagle Union back when we were fighting the Crimson Axis, the facility is no longer in use but the building is still located towards the middle of the woods around the edge of the main base, the only reason we knew it existed was because the commander had met someone who worked there when he was on leave and casually mentioned it to his secretary one day. It has been long since abandoned, with thick vines covering most of the structure, save for a few bits of concrete at the top and the tell-tale signs of recent hacking towards the area around the front entrance, I slowly made my way inside.

The inside of the building was fairly barren save for a few items littering the floor: Akashi's missing juicer filled to the brim with a brown liquid, a pile of full course meals and drinking glass, stained brown lying on a blanket beside it, and even better, the commander, tied to a chair and with a length of duct tape over his mouth. Against every instinct I slowly walked towards him, as much as I wanted to rescue him as quickly as possible, I knew I might miss something important if I ran. The commander's eyes widened a bit before muffling something incoherent, I stopped for a moment, before rolling forward as something flew over the top of my head between my horns, if I'd been standing it would have gone through my chest. I slowly stood up. "It's all ove-" I had barely turned around to face the kidnapper before she rushed forward, grabbed be by the throat and slammed me into the concrete wall. "G…gugh…g…give…give it up Junyou…" The blue haired aircraft carrier tilted her head to the side as if I just asked where her second head was. "Gugh…I…gugh… know…gugh…everything…"

"Oh~? Really ~?" the crazy kidnapper replied quietly.

"I know you volunteered to join every commission that Taihou and Atago participated in… I know that you used that opportunity to copy Taihou's writing and make friends with Atago…I know that you stole a piece of paper from Atago's room while she was having a shower yesterday morning and forged Taihou's writing to pass suspicion on her…" Scared? I was absolutely terrified, the crazy look in her eyes made it clear that she was planning to keep this as quiet as possible or kill everyone that came near to discovering the truth, or both if she was in a really angry mood. Furthermore, I couldn't summon my rigging without Junyou popping my head from my shoulders, yeah, I was stalling for time, hoping that someone would arrive anytime soon. Junyou squeezed my throat gently, which for me seemed like I was getting closer and closer to having my windpipe crushed. "It…was…a pretty…gugh…a pretty…gugh…pretty good…gugh…plan…" I choaked, I could see spots start to appear in my vision, this was bad, it wouldn't be long until I'd fall unconscious. "Gugh…b-but y-you…gugh…y-you made a…gugh…a c-couple of…gugh…mistakes." Junyou smiled gently, as this was all a very amusing game to her.

"Oh~?" She pried nonchalantly.

"Y-gugh…you…gugh… mentioned…gugh…gugh…that…the…gugh…c-commander…gugh…had d-diss…gugh…disappeared…gugh…gugh…b-but we…gugh…we…gugh…we never…gugh…m-mentioned his…gugh…gugh…d-d-dissapearance…" My head felt as though it would pop from my neck, it felt like all the blood had rushed to my head and got blocked there. "y-you…gugh…you were…gugh…gugh…a-also rel…gugh…gugh…reluctant…gugh…t-to call…gugh…to call him…gugh…your…gugh…best friend…gugh…y-you s-see…gugh…see your…gugh…y-yourself…gugh…as s-someone…gugh…gugh…gugh…c-closer…gugh…d-don't y-you?" The aircraft carrier smiled.

"Yes…I am Shikikan's childhood friend, and now that we've grown up, we can legally get married." The commander might have mumbled something, but I couldn't tell, I was too busy staying conscious. "I'll make sure that no harm comes to my childhood friend, and anyone who threatens Shikikan's safety can just go and die. I needed to keep him safe you see, away from those crazy stalker girls."

"Y-you…gugh…y-you won't…gugh…g-get a-away…gugh…get away…gugh…w-wit this…gugh…I-It won't…gugh…it won't…gugh…it won't take l-long…gugh…b-before m-my…gugh…my partner…gugh…f-figures o-out…gugh…w-what…gugh…w-what has h…gugh…happened…" Was the room always this dark? Somewhere in the back of my mind I knew I was blacking out, and the fact that I couldn't do anything about it scared me even more so.

"Well then~ I'll just have to kill her as well then." She brought her other hand around my throat and began to squeeze with all her might. "Right after I kill you~" I was blacking out, the whole world just suddenly turned black.

Was I asleep? Awake? Alive? I wasn't sure, I felt like I was awake, but I couldn't open my eyes, was I sleeping then? But how could I still think? I was sure that there was something I was doing before, but I couldn't remember what. What should I do? Luckily the answer came to me in a flash of light, everything suddenly turned white as I saw these two warm friendly arms reach out towards me.

"WHAT?" Junyou yelled letting go of my throat and dropping me to the floor, I fell on my backside, gasping large gulps of air, still disorientated, it took me a moment to figure out what had happened before I fell unconscious, once I remembered I quickly summoned my rigging throwing one giant hand into her stomach before using the other one to uppercut the restrained girl, causing her to fall to the floor. A large commotion to my left signalled the arrival of the Royal Knights as they took over from restraining Junyou from my saviour, I weakly stood up on my legs, using the wall for support before taking large gulps of air.

"You took your time."

"You were the one who said 5 minutes." Hornet countered. To my right Myoukou was busy helping Duke of York untie the commander, I looked towards Junyou who was seething.

"Did you really think I would just walk into a kidnapper's lair and rescue the commander without waiting for backup?" I taunted; the crazy carrier was livid.

"NO! I WON'T LET YOU TAKE SHIKIKAN AWAY FROM ME! I NEED TO PROTECT HIM! I NEED TO PROTECT HIIIMMM!" she yelled kicking and screaming as she was dragged out by King George V and Prince of Wales.

"Mighty fine work deputy." Hornet said giving me a thumbs up.

"JUST A MINUTE!" the uncooperative midget yelled "How did you know it was Junyou who had kidnapped the commander?"

"Full course meals." I shrugged.

"Huh?"

"It's the commander's favourite meal which she knew considering they used to eat lunches together, any other of the 'big three' would have tried to win him over with home-made cooking.

Junyou was sentenced to a year in jail, only to be released on bail in emergency circumstances. Needless to say, after that incident the commander was inundated with offers to help him relax by Akagi, Taihou and Atago. As such they were promptly sent back on commission while the commander organized a months leave with his superiors.
