When we got to the records office the person waiting for us there was not pleased to see us. "Oh, great, now what do you want?"

"Good afternoon to you too Amazon," I tried to say with a light-hearted tone "Where's Langley today?"

"She's on break." Came the blunt response

"Is that so?" I said "Well, we came here today-"

"No!" Myoukou was taken aback by the bluntness of it

"Excuse me!? She yelled.

"You heard me, I'm sick and tired of you coming in here, taking what you want and undermining the Royal knights! It's a huge insult to the law enforcement here!"

"We're not undermining the Royal knights, (they do that themselves), no, we're just looking for something to read."

"Go to the library!" she scoffed.

"Actually, we're more interested in recent commissions, you know to learn from past mistakes right Myoukou?"

"Uhhh…?"

"And the library doesn't have a contemporary history section? C'mon get out before I throw you out!" Amazon shouted.

"Ahem" A voice coughed from behind us went, we turned around to see Langley standing behind us "I do hope you're not preventing people from accessing these records out of spite Amazon?" Amazon was looking slightly flustered.

"I'm doing nothing of the sort, I just don't want them to misuse the information in these files, there's some rather sensitive information held here." Langley rubbed her eyes in annoyance and gave a sigh before asking us.

"What is it that you wanted to look up?"

"The records of who have had leave to the east coast of the Eagle Union" Myoukou answered before I had the chance to open my mouth.

"Is that so…" Langley turned her attention back to Amazon "You see, there's nothing sensitive to see in those files, now, off you go it's you turn for lunch break." Amazon looked annoyed by this, but there was nothing that she could do anyway.

"Fine!" she yelled "But I'm keeping an eye on you!" she huffed and made her way out of the records department. Langley gave a sigh and shook her head.

"If only she could be a little more open~" she sighed as she went back to behind the counter.

"Thank you Langley, could you direct us to where the files we're looking for are?" I asked, Langley took a book out from under the counter then leaned on it and opened it to a certain page before replying.

"Yes, of course, just find the aisle where Hornet is and you're there!" We stood in silence for a moment.

"Wait…?"

"Hornet senpai is here?"

After walking along the many aisles of the records department, we eventually managed to find Hornet off in the distance down one of the aisles.

"Oh, hey rookies!" she greeted as we approached her.

"What are you doing here Hornet senpai?"

"Well where else would you find records?" she replied "I managed to find the section we're looking for."

"But there's hundreds of records here senpai!" Myoukou moaned.

"We don't have to go through all that lot" I replied, "We just need to find the records of who had leave in the east coast in the last few days."

"No we don't, we just need to find out who had leave in New York over the last few days." We both stared at Hornet.

"How the heck do you know that?" I exclaimed.

"Didn't you look closely at the dress that Cleveland showed us yesterday?" Hornet asked before she started explaining her deduction "That was a handmade dress, the stitching wasn't as uniform as it would be if done by a machine, and the material was of a higher quality than any ready-made shop dresses. And the only store that makes handmade dresses on the east coast that can do next day delivery is Thornebrookes, a large independent store in New York."

"That's amazing senpai!" I have to admit, even I was nodding my head in approval, I wouldn't have noticed the stitching on a dress.

"Right, now then, now that you know what you're looking for, I'll leave it in your capable hands." We looked at Hornet confused. "Hey, when you've got to go, you've got to go. And I really need to pee."

"And you can't come back later?" I asked

"You know how Langley works, if you want to look for something you don't come back out until you've finished, if you leave, she won't re-admit you till the next day. Besides, I'm 92% sure I know who her supposed stalker is, now if you excuse me, I feel like I'm about to strike oil~" Hornet gasped as she rushed down the aisle

"Well," I said, "I guess that we'd better get to work."

A pile of files was now surrounding us as we tried to find the paperwork authorising the culprit's leave to New York about a week ago. "Hey, senpai?"

"Don't call me that…" I mumbled

"…Do you have any idea about who this stalker is?"

"Well," I paused as I carefully grabbed another file from the shelf "It's more likely to be someone that she knows, a close friend perhaps…"

"What?" Myoukou yelled "Why would they do something like that?"

"It's probably a misunderstanding, they might have wanted to give her a gift and they might have ordered too many."

"But couldn't it be someone pulling a cruel prank on her?"

"I doubt it, it's highly unlikely that a serial prankster would spend all their money on high quality dresses just for a prank, they'd more likely buy a $5 bottle of hot sauce and put it in a drink than pay hundreds of coins for a handmade dress to launch psychological warfare on their victims. Besides, Cleveland doesn't have any known rivals, unlike say Enterprise, or those two black and white destroyers from your faction, who keep trying to one-up each other."

"Oh, you mean Yukikaze and Shigure"

"Possibly" I replied, not really paying attention to the complicated names of the Sakura Empire as I flipped through the file in my hands "Aha! Found it!" Myoukou closed her file and walked over to me and peered over my shoulder, her eyes went wide when she saw who else had booked leave in New York on the same day that Cleveland was there.

"W-wait a minute, isn't she-" I held up my hand to silence her before she got too carried away.

"She is the most likely suspect, but it could be the case that our culprit might have ordered that dress up to a year beforehand and that this could be a huge coincidence."

"Well, what do we do senpai?"

"(Stop calling me that), well, what we'll do is you continue to search these file to see if anyone else had leave in New York over the past year to see if there are any more likely suspects, and I'll pop over to Akashi's shop to see if she can find out when Shiranui received that first dress."

"Wait a minute, why do I have to search all these files?" Myoukou cried

"Because Akashi doesn't trust you as much" And there was good reason for that statement too, I already imagined Myoukou pinning Akashi to the ground trying to handcuff the cat eared capitalist while reading her rights, while Akashi was flailing about and meowing at the top of her voice.

"I'm not going to do anything to her!" Myoukou countered

"Sorry but that's final!" I shouted back, "You are my junior, and you take orders form me, do you understand?"

"Yes Senpai!" Myoukou groaned, I wasn't one who'd use their rank to achieve something, normally I was indifferent about most things, but I knew that Akashi was a valuable source that we didn't want to lose, especially by someone so by the book like Myoukou. "And remember what Hornet said, don't come out until you've finished!"

It was now evening, and I had been sitting on a bench for the last 15 minutes before Myoukou exited the records building. "Any luck?" I asked getting to my feet.

"I've been through all the files senpai…" Myoukou replied sounding rather exhausted, I've told you not to call me that "And these are the people who have had leave in New York in the last year…" she passed me over a piece of paper with a handful of names written on it, I skimmed through the names, and then listed them off one by one.

"No, no, no, unlikely, not in a million years, no, no…" I handed the list back to Myoukou, "Sorry about that Myoukou, but it looks like our original culprit is the one that we are looking for."

"Well, what are we waiting for senpai, let's go and get them!"

"(Stop calling me that!) No, not yet, there is just one question that I need to ask Cleveland directly, but that can wait till tomorrow"

"Why tomorrow?"

"Because tomorrow Cleveland will barge into our office with an angry face and another package under her arm that no doubt contains another dress" I explained, before I headed off towards the Cafeteria for some dinner.
