Alice was really fucked this time, and she knew it. Watching as the big burly man stepped into the diner, she knew he was one of them, and in her vision she saw him flash a photo of her. A photo she had no recollection of ever being taken, and she couldn't understand how they even had gotten access to it.
But it didn't matter what had happened, the question was what Alice was supposed to do, as she hadn't been given as much time as she thought. This golden eyed giant was standing by the door, waiting for Denise to talk to him, and from her visions Alice knew she would recognize her in the picture.
She could only be thankful he hadn't looked in her direction yet.
Alice tried to remain somewhat calm, trying to convince herself there was a way out of it, although her visions tried to tell her otherwise.
Because all Alice saw at first was herself, being held tightly by this gigantic man, as she kicking and screaming was carried out of the diner and thrown into his car. A large Jeep by the looks of it.
At first glance this was everything Alice could see, and the visions continued, showing how she would be locked inside that car as the gigantic bear drove her away. She could see how she tried to hit him, and do anything possible to distract his driving, but none of it seemed to work.
And at the end another blond vampire with surprisingly kind eyes would inject something into her arm, and the vision ended… either because Alice died or because nothing had been decided.
Taking a deep breath as she sunk further into her seat, trying not to be seen by this scary looking man, Alice tried to see another option, because anything would be better than that.
The first question was whenever she was able to sneak out of the restaurant without being noticed? The front door wasn't an option, as her visions showed this beautiful large creature would catch her immediately. Another option was to try and get out of the window, but it would cause far too much attention, and Alice would never get outside before this man hauled her back in.
Alice knew the kitchen was straight behind her, and through her visions she noticed it was possible to go through the kitchen's backdoor, under the right circumstances.
She grabbed her backpack, knowing her chance of escaping was small, but this was her best option, and she would have to be prepared. It was actually only because of her visions she knew just when, as a man was about to sneeze, while another woman would manage to spill her drink at the same time, distracting everyone in the diner. Including the large monstrosity.
And so Alice waited, counting the seconds, until the moment arrived, creating the chaos she needed to get out of there.
But it did exactly what Alice had planned, as everyone stared at the man as he coughed loudly, followed by a small surprised scream from a woman who spilled her hot coffee on her own lap.
"God it burns!" the woman complained loudly, causing everyone to look further at her, while Denise ran toward her, hoping to help somehow.
"Oh my… are you okay?" she asked worriedly, and had forgotten the man for a second. Far too concerned about her customer.
And the man had barely managed to finish his sneeze, before Alice, like a shadow moved from her booth and took the five required steps into the kitchen. Once more using her visions for guidance.
Her visions quickly made it clear she wouldn't be able to get out if the cook saw her, as he would yell for her to get out of his kitchen, exposing her to everyone. Including the burly man. And from the door he wouldn't be able to see her, while Alice searched through all the different scenarios, trying to find the best way out.
And in the end she realized her only chance of getting out would be as soon as he turned to flip a burger patty, and Alice readied herself, knowing her window once more would be short. She could feel how her heart was beating in her chest, as she counted the seconds, until he did just as she had predicted.
"Always look on the bright side of life…" he hummed, as he turned around to flip a patty, clearly not aware of Alice's presence.
Like a quiet shadow she jumped from her hiding at the door, and tried to run for the door, although she wouldn't be as fast as she wanted to be. But from her visions this man was only getting a chance to talk to Denise now, and Alice would be given a few seconds to spare as Denise looked at the photo. But she would in the end recognize Alice.
Alice wasn't sure why, but instinct told her it would be a good idea to grab the nearest sharp knife, wondering if it could be used for self defense. But she didn't have time to think too much about it, running out of the kitchen and out onto the parking lot.
Her first instinct was to grab her motorcycle, and get the hell out of there, but instantly her visions warned her of that idea. Showing images of her being chased by a green Jeep, who at last managed to catch up to her, and even worse cornering her till she was forced to stop. It was either that, or being involved in a crash, and Alice began to realize she had to do something.
A part of her wondered if her best option was to run into the forest, hoping he wouldn't follow, but another vision told her just how stupid that idea was, and Alice closed her eyes for a second, trying to focus.
But her visions only showed Denise, now recognizing the photo and pointed toward Alice's empty seat, with a map left behind. She could see the man walking toward it, looking at the spot with some irritation, before walking straight toward the kitchen.
And if Alice didn't do something soon, she would be in deep shit.
Without thinking too much Alice looked at the sharp knife, and then at the green Jeep, an idea forming inside her head. After checking her visions, she realized it would work, and without seconds thoughts she sneaked over to the gigantic Jeep. A small part of her wondered if that was the only car a man like him could fit inside.
She knew it was wrong, illegal even, but it was her only chance of getting away, and she was going to take it. Another part of her actually felt it was rather fair, because this was hopefully going to send a warning to these people… but she wasn't sure whether they would understand it or not.
"Good luck chasing me now," Alice muttered to herself softly, as she cut into the tire without any guilt, using all of her power to cut a large gash to ruin it. Repeating the same process with the tire behind.
And like the rebel she was, she decided to give the car the finger, before running toward her motorcycle knowing she didn't have much time. Throwing the knife off the pavement, as it wouldn't serve her any longer.
Just as Alice reached the end of the parking lot, she could hear a door being opened from the restaurant, and a desperate male voice yelled her name, but Alice never turned to look. Already knowing who it was.
"We just want to talk!" He tried to plead, but Alice scoffed, knowing he wanted to do anything but talk. She didn't even try to get a glimpse of him, knowing from her visions he intended to chase her in the car, but would have to give up on that soon.
But another vision appeared of him as well. A vision of him running at an insane pace, like something that wasn't humanly possible, as he flashed over to her and stopped her motorcycle… but that wasn't possible, was it? It confused Alice, but she could then see he changed his mind a second later, just as Alice saw all the guests at the diner stare in amazement of his speed…
But did that confirm it was real? Could he really run that fast?
No matter what he never did it, and Alice began to breathe once more as she drove down the road filled with cars, knowing she was safe for a short while. But this experience had just proved her enemy was closer than she thought, and Alice couldn't feel safe any longer… making her wonder how she was supposed to get rid of these people.
And what did they even want?
So i know Emmett in theory should have sensed her through smell, but it would like to think her smell was somewhat hidden among all the greasy and smell of old people!
