Just a quick note. I will not be spamming statistics just to pad out my word count. This will be a story that has its gamer mechanics as actual part of the story, not as part of a game. By that I mean if you have read other gamer fix, you may have noticed that you'll see constant updates of their stats and skills. That does not happen in this gaming engine, so you'll see more of the story plot then you will the gamer mechanics. Also just as a note the character sheet is not complete. There is information that I have currently hidden, but will be exposed as that particular mechanic comes up.

Hogwarts school of witchcraft and wizardry, black Lake, 10 minutes after jasmines disappearance
By the Black Lake a portal opened up with a clap of thunder. This was unusual as there were no clouds in the sky, and unfortunitly no one was out to see it.
As the portal opened a young woman stepped out far different from what she had been before hand.
When she had first walk through the portal, to her 10 years ago, she had been small for her age. She had only stood at 5 foot one, when she had seen her parents in the mirror of erised her mother had stood at no shorter than 5 foot eight. Jasmine now stood at a respectable 5 foot six, war a faded yellow sundress, a necklace of pearls, and two bright yellow bracelets on her wrist. One would be safe in assuming that she had taken some of her new appearance from her mentor back in the elementals world. At least those who knew she had even gone to the elementals world.
However unlike her mentor Pre-, she did not wear the ring that gave pre-her elemental powers over earth. Instead Jasmine wore a set of fingerless gloves. She had not yet earned the right to wear her boxing gloves, and she prayed that she would be soon given the quest she needed to earn her beginner set.
Reaching into the dimensional space that pre-had taught her to make, Jasmine pulled out the notebook that pre-had given her that first day in order to write down objectives. Flipping it open she turned to the first objective page and glanced at what she needed to do in order to get started.
"First objective find a party member that can assist you in the game."
Pre-had explained to her the party system that the elementals game engine that she was using ran off of. A party could consist of no more than six people, and you could have no duplicate elements in your party. Because of that Jasmine new she could not entice any other earth elementals into her party, and she was pretty sure that Neville one of her best male friends in the whole school was also in earth elemental. Because of that she knew she could only have him as an advisor, not invite him into the game. It was unfortunate too, because she was pretty sure that he would have some great advice for working with plants and other forms of nature.
She flipped back a few pages to look at some of the mechanics that she would now be dealing with.
"Dungeons, and quests. Dungeons can only be found by finding dungeon type artifacts. As you well know the world that you were in normally is static. Things cannot be moved around, and mostly once they are built they stay there. And this is almost true with the gaming system active. However because of the game system you can actually decide where dungeons, towns, and other sorts of places go. Even if they were already static in your world you can add artifacts to your world map which will add, or move buildings into place. Remember that only master dungeon artifacts can actually be removed from your map, and remember that you also have limited space. Because of this you need to be very careful of how you set up your map. If you do not wish to move anything that is already present in your world, do not search for its artifact. Once you find its artifact if you do not want to use it do not place it on your map.
Remember The size of your map is onl grid. And you cannot remove town-based artifacts.
Quests on the other hand unlike dungeons are fluid as water. Quests can happen in a dungeon, in a town, or if you are very unlucky even on your world map. Once a quest is started it will be added to your quest log which can be accessed through your main menu. When a quest is actually completed it is recommended that you open your notebook and flip to the quest page. At which point you may tap the quest, and little notes will be added so that you can show it to other people who you might take advice from, or who you might want to add to your party later.
Quests will always result in anywhere from 1 to 6 elemental points, which are needed to level up. It is true that the game system calls these elemental experience points, but we just shorten it to elemental points when speaking.
A quest consists of finding a person or object, defeating a specific enemy. Or supplying a person with a specific amount of items.
Quests have almost no limits on what can occur, so always keep your eye out for the golden rings that you will be able to see above people, or places on the world map."
Jasmine now flipped to her quest page in order to look at the quest that pre-had told her would show up as soon as she returned to her own world.
"Tri-Wizard tournament
You have been selected as an unwilling participant in the tri-Wizard tournament. It is up to you to make it through these three tasks not only a life, but with fairly good scores.
Objectives: place at least third place in each of the first two tasks.
Place at least second place in each of the first two tasks.
Take first place in each of the first two tasks.
Get to the tri-Wizard cup 1st in the third task, and claim your prize.
Rewards:
5 elemental experience points.
10 elemental experience points
100 elemental experience points, one diamond, one emerald, one sapphire, one onyx, 10 topaz, one Ruby.
Jasmine blinked at her first quest goal. She had to place at least third place in each task with the exception of the final one. And she wasn't even sure what those tasks would entail yet.
Sighing Jasmine looked around, took note of the fact that no one had come out to see what that noise had been, and with another sigh started walking up toward the castle.

Hogwarts great hall
In the great Hall the students had gathered together so that the heads of house could do account, and make sure nobody else besides Jasmine was missing. They have been mulling around in the hall now for six minutes, and the volume was just starting to rise when the doors opened and Jasmine sontered through. Everyone stopped and stared at what Jasmine was now wearing. It was quite different from what she had been wearing when she left the common room of Gryffindor tower, at least according to lavender and Parvati who had seen her.
It would've surprised Jasmine to note that that not only the boys were staring at her with a lot of lust running through there brains, but so were a good number of the girls.
Headmaster Albus Dumbledore looked up in surprise and pleasure as Jasmine strolled into the hall.
"Miss Potter" he said clapping his hands in pleasure. "We were worried when you disappeared from the grounds."
Jasmine tilted her head and puzzlement. "What do you mean headmaster? I didn't leave the grounds, I simply went down to the black lake."
Dumbledore hid his confusion well. It would not do to let others know that he had instruments tied to tracking his most important pong.
"Is that a fact? I was told nobody saw you on the grounds for the last 10 minutes."
Jasmine look thoughtful for a minute. "It's possible that nobody did see me" she said tapping her fingers gently against the necklace she was wearing. "After all I do have a spot near the black lake that no one has really found me at before."
Lavender and Parvati could no longer contain their excitement at what they saw. To Albus's annoyance, the two of them rushed over and started talking to Jasmine.
"Where did you get the necklace? Is that a new dress? Are you taller?"
Jasmine laughed at the gaggle of questions that the 2 were throwing at her. These two have been sort of friends on and off throughout her last three years. It had been lavender who had helped Jasmine figure out her actual color scheme, and Parvati had been the one to help her so more than one dress together.
Jasmine had a sudden thought. Was it possible that the game system had picked up on what she, lavender, and Parvati had been doing in their spare time? After all she liked wearing yellow, and her elemental color according to the character sheet was yellow.
Smiling she pulled the two girls into a hug. "Calm down girls. I'll answer all your questions, just not here where other people can over here."
The two squealed, and wrap their arms around her and started to steer her towards the Gryffindor table.
Ron, Hermione, and Ginny were staring in flat amazement. This was not the Jasmine who had walked out of the common room 10 minutes ago. For one thing she was at least 7 inches taller. For another there was far more confidence in her stance and walk in there had been when she left. The final thing that hammered home at least two Hermione and Ginny were the new dress and the pearl necklace she wore. She didn't have those when she left, and so where did she get them?
Jasmine sat down with lavender and Parvati with plenty of people between them and her former friends.
"Before we get into any secrets though, can you tell me what's been happening the last 10 minutes?"
Lavender and Parvati started telling Jasmine about the argument that had been sparked right after she left. About how Hermione and Ron had tried to get her expelled out of the common room, and out of Gryffindor house all together. However it had been her statement before leaving that had suede 9/10th of the house to her side, and so she was in no danger of being ostracized out. Ron Hermione and Jeannie however were just on the knife edge of being ostracized, and even possibly required to change houses. Jasmine listen to everything the girls were telling her, and even in gendered a suggestion here or there about what could be done. She actually did not want these three kicked out of Gryffindor. If they were, there was no telling where they would go, and what damage they could do if they were sent to another house. So knowing it might look like she was trying to help them, she was instead trying to protect the other three houses from what she knew could be real problems.
After all Hermione Granger had no tact when it came to telling people her opinion. Whether someone wanted to hear it or not. This had been plainly obvious to the entire school when she had learned about how cells, and decided to inform everyone within earshot that what the wizards were putting houseelves through was nothing worse than slavery.
Ron had the worst table manners in the whole school. Also his intelligence made it impossible for him to be in any house other than Gryffindor, and he would pull any other house down with his nonexistent worth ethic, and bullying personality.
Ginny as Jasmine well-knew was nothing more or less than a fan girl. It was lucky that Jasmine herself was a girl, otherwise she would worry about Ginny trying to sneak into her room in the fourth your dorm, and try to make off with soiled undergarments. She had heard of girls that did this to other boys, and when she had discovered some of this in Gryffindor tower her third year, had really put her foot down with those third years.
She had almost put Parvati to tears, until Jasmine had explained what she had been doing, and why Parvati was strained very close to breaking the law.
That had been the start of a great friendship between the two, and it had only been time that had not allowed it to mature beyond its beginning. Lavender had come along for the ride, and between the two of them had started to help Jasmine update her wardrobe.

Hermione Granger stared in surprise at Jasmine sitting down near the middle of the table. Jasmine as far as Hermione new had never given lavender or Parvati the time of day. Certainly not in the dorm where Hermione could see. However her change in looks and personality could not be disguised, and Hermione knew for a fact that this was not how Jasmine had acted 10 minutes ago. What had happened to the girl who had been her friend before the drawing of the names for the tri-wizard tournament? Where had she gotten that dress, and why was she wearing a pearl necklace around her neck?
Even more importantly why had Jasmine lied to them? She knew for a fact that Jasmine would have put her name into the goblet of fire, Albus Dumbledore had told her so. After all she was a Potter. And the potters could not stay out of the spotlight no matter how they tried.
So she thought it quite reasonable that instead of letting somebody else do it for her this time around, Jasmine would have gone forth and put her name in the goblet of fire. She knew that Ron didn't care that Jasmine actually was in the tournament, all he cared about was the fact that she hadn't told him how she was going to do it and had not shared with him. After all it was quite obvious that he himself wanted to enter the tournament so that he could rub it in when he won the thousand galleons. Not that he would be allowed to keep it, after all he couldn't save money to save his life.
Hermione skowled as the three girls chatted away down the table. Every time Hermione tried to get close to where Jasmine was sitting somebody else was in the way. And people would not move and let her get close to her former friend. Couldn't they see that Jasmine was fooling everyone? After all she was very powerful. Hermione knew this for a fact because of the patronus that Jasmine had been able to cast at the end of third year, and so it was very probable that Jasmine had found a way to get across the age line.
Hermione had a sudden thought. What if Jasmine had simply removed the age line, and then after placing her name in the goblet put the line back. She knew that Jasmine didn't know anything about Arithmancy, or rooms after all Jasmine hadn't taken those two classes, but she simply had enough power to make her magic do what she wanted and it was certainly possible she had use that to put her name in the goblet of fire. She would have to talk to the headmaster and run this past him. After all that would be proof that Jasmine had put her name in the goblet, and that would get her Ron and Ginny back into the good graces of the griffin doors. It would also probably get Jasmine kicked out of the Gryffindor tower, where Hermione could start her campaign to start taking over the house.

After they had finished eating their dinner, Jasmine, lavender, and Parvati tripped up to the Gryffindor tower and entered their own dorm. Ignoring Hermione who had entered behind them, the three quickly ran over to Jasmine's bed, and pulling the curtain shut cast silencing, notice-me-not, and sticking charm so that they wouldn't be disturbed. Plopping down on the bed the two girls looked at Jasmine to answer their earlier questions.
"OK, first things first. Even though I know it has only been 10 minutes for you between when I left the tower and when I entered the grade hall, for me it was actually 10 years. While I was sitting down by the black lake which is where I did go, a portal opened up and allowed me to get to another world to get some training for the tournament. In that world I discovered six people who control power over six elements of nature. There was only one male, though he was the leader of the group, and there were 5 women.
The mail was the master of light, his name was Lightning. His wife the master of air was named Satellite. They had adopted two twin orphans the first one was named Rain who was the master of water. Lightning had 2 sisters. The first named Shadow, and the second named Pre. Rain's younger twin was named Heart. She was the master of fire. I forgot to say pre-was the elemental master of earth.
To my surprise they offered me training for this tournament. Well sort of training. Their idea of training was to give me access to their gaming system."
To Jasmine and Parvati's surprise lavender spoke up. "You mean like those video games at the muggles like to play?"
Jasmine shook her head slightly. "Not exactly Lav. Their gaming system is more along the lines of what would be called in the Muggle world a table top RPG. They have character sheets, which hold all the stats that they work with. It's a little different from the character sheets that I've heard about when I was staying in the Muggle world however. It revolves around the six powers of nature, and you can only have six people playing with you at any one time. I was trained by pre-because when I took on the power of the game I became a princess of earth."
Those words made both Parvati and lavender snort.
"Princess is right" lavender said. "You've been the princess of Gryffindor ever since first year."
Jasmine grinned at that. "I was hoping to leave that particular title behind" she said shaking her head and laughter. "In any event there's more to it than that however."
To lavender and Parvati's puzzlement Jasmine reached into what looked like nothing, and pulled out a small board. "This is my overworld map" she said pointing to th square grid. "I am able if I can find the right artifacts to rearrange the world around me as I see fit. This is also how I am subpose to find dungeons that me and my party are allowed to explore. However I have to be careful whom I invite to the party. I'm only allowed to have one of each element along with me, which means I'm not allowed to invite any earth elementals to my party. Although I can get their advice, and or training if I run into one far more knowledgeable than what I have."
At once lavender and Parvati looked at one another and with a smile said "Neville".
Jasmine smiled at the girls. "I thought of him too when I first came through the portal back to our world" she said smiling at the two girls. "But since I'm pretty sure his expert knowledge in herbology means his element is earth, I'm not allowed to invite him to the party. It doesn't mean I can't seek his advice, but I think will need to drag him out of his low confidence before he's willing to do that."
Parvati looked thoughtful. "How do you determine what element you are?"
Jasmine smiled at the girl. "I would need to invite you to the party, and you would need to set up a character sheet if you want to participate."
Looking at both girls seriously she asked "are either of you interested in helping me. I have one long-term goal that I need to overcome and I don't expect it to be easy even with the power boost I've been getting with this gaming system."
Parvati and lavender shared a silent conversation as Jasmine waited patiently. There were nods, shakes of the head, smiles, frowns, and even a quiet mutter or two as the two thought it over. Finally it was lavender who spoke up. "I think I would want to wait a little bit, because I would like to see how my best friend, and I would say now my new best friend handled Any responsibilities at this gaming system brought along with it. It doesn't mean that I'm saying that I will never join your party, but I don't think I want to do it right now."
Jasmine reached out and hugged lavender. Then turning to Parvati she raised an eyebrow.
"I would love to join you" but I have no idea how I could help you Jasmine. "What do I need to do to join your party?"
Jasmine smiled, pulled her hand free gently, and raising both hands said in a language that the two had never heard before, "invite party member, Parvati Patel".

dextarity: 5
Constitution: 5
Charm: 5
Mana: 5

Parvati read the screen in front of her in puzzlement.
"Why is my class given a question mark?" She asked pointing to the words on the screen.
Lavender was looking on in puzzlement. She couldn't see anything new in front of her, but Parvati evidently could. Maybe this is what they meant about the gaming system when Jasmine was talking about it.
Jasmine smiled. "The game does not assign you the class that you want to play as" she said pointing to the particular words that Parvati asked about. "Depending on what element you actually are, and that's determined by the color attribute, you have access to different classes. According to your character sheet, your color is green. Wich means that your element is air."
Lavender had to speak up at this. "What do you mean air" she asked shaking her head and puzzlement. "I thought air would be represented by blue or maybe even yellow."
Jasmine however shook her head at this. "Not in the elementals gaming system" she said. There are six colors in the elementals gaming system. White represents light, green represents air, blue represents water, black represents shadow, and no shadow does not mean evil. Yellow represents earth, and fire is represented by red. I myself and earth elemental, and that means that my color is yellow. This of course means that you and I are opposites, which means we need to be very careful that we do not come in contact with one another spells."
Parvati tilted her head. "Why is that" she asked tapping her fingers against her cheek.
Jasmine giggled slightly. "It's because if we do will end up taking double the damage we normally would from that particular spell."
Parvati shuttered at this. Then decided to get back on track. "So if I'm allowed to select my class, what do I have to pick from?"
Jasmine sat up straight, and adopted the same pose that Pre had used when Jasmine had asked the same question. "As an air elemental you are mainly a rranged fighter. You start with a bow, though it can be upgraded to other fire type weapons. And no I don't mean weapons that actually have flames, I mean weapons such as the muggles guns. Because of this you're starting classes revolve around it. You have access to the archer class, the scout class, the agent class, the marine class, the scientist class, and squad class."
Parvati looked at Jasmine wide-eyed. "That's a lot of classes to pick from" she said shaking her head and surprise. "How do I know which one to pick from?"
Jasmine smiled at Parvati, and put her hand on her shoulder. "What you choose is actually just what you're starting with" she said patting the shoulder she put her hand on. "Once you've mastered the class you select, you may either upgrade the class if it's possible, or you may choose another allowed class. Once you've mastered every class that your element is allowed, you may actually choose other classes that the other elementals have access to."
Parvati looked puzzled. "That still doesn't help me decide which one to pick first."
Jasmine smiled. "I had the same problem, even though I had fewer classes than you did to pick from. One option you always have if you can't decide what you want to pick is random. To do this all you have to say is dice role, and the game system will choose your class for you."
Parvati paused. "Do you know anything about these classes I have access to?"
Jasmine shook her head. "I'm afraid not" she said. "I don't have access to any one of these, so I don't know what benefits they will give you. I do know that the classes do not have a drawback associated with them, and so you can't go wrong with whatever class you pick."
Parvati thought about it for another few minutes, and then decided that she would not want the role of the dice to decide what her first class was. Thinking it over she decided that since she was starting with a bow it might be better to go with the archer class.
"Class select archer" she said turning to face the blue screen in front of her.
`class selected.
Class: archer
Class set. Distribute attribute points `
As lavender watched Jasmine explained to Parvati what each attribute did, and to lavender surprise explained that because she was an air elemental she would actually be losing 5 points of strength regardless of what she did after completing her sheet. Jasmine had also explained that to offset that she had actually placed 5 extra points in the stat she was going to lose points from when she was setting up her points. However she explained that because of her life experience her attributes had actually been altered. Jasmine did not know if the same thing would happen to Parvati, and Parvati wasn't interested in finding out.
Parvati had decided that she would be keeping her stats as balanced as she could for right now, so she had placed 10 points in her intelligence, constitution, charm, and Mana. She had placed 5 points in her dexterity, and 15 points in her strength.
When the prompt came up to conferm if this was her final decision she had tapped yes on the screen.
`Attribute points set, character sheet generation completed.

AN and this is where I'm going to end the second chapter. Yes if you have been reading between the lines of what I wrote here, lavender will be joining them later. However she will not be the next party member to join their party, instead we will be getting somebody from a different house. However that won't be for a little bit yet, as I want to show what the world map will be like, and the two will be running through their first dungeon. We'll see what it's like when an earth and an air elemental who need to stay out of one another's way try to fight off enemies.
Also don't worry about the tournament tasks. We will be getting to those, after all their quests that Jasmine will have to go through.
In any event that's the end of chapter 2, and I'll be seeing you next time for chapter 3.
