An: really quick, I forgot to put an ability Jasmine has access to on her character sheet last chapter. I wanted to give a sneak peek at something she will be using this chapter, but I didn't realize I'd forgotten it until looking over this chapter. Also I just noticed a problem with Jasmine's abilities. I accidently gave her the same abilities as Parvati. I corrected that in this chapter.

`spell creation `

`enter the name of the spell. `

Parvati Patel looked thoughtfully at the screen in front of her. "Does it matter what I Collett?"

Jasmine shook her head. "It's simply so that you know what spell to cast."

Parvati nodded, then blinked as a thought occurred to her. "Espresso."

`spell title entered.' Espresso' `

`select spell type. `

Parvati looked at the screen and puzzlement. "What does it mean by spell type?"

"It wants to know if it's a damage type spell, healing type spell, or status type spell."

Parvati blinked. "What does that mean?"

Jasmine lent against the wall. "A damage type spell is like our stinging hex" she said settling into what she had started calling her lecture mode. "It deals damage to the target that it's fired at, and it may have other effects."

"Healing type spells are just as the name says. It will heal the target certain amount of health."

"Status type spells are similar to the imperious curse. They're actually supposed to inflict changes to the target. An example is if you want to poison a target, freeze a target, or burn a target. These are considered status type spells."

"As an air elemental you get mostly damage type spells normally. So that's what I would focus on here."

Nodding Parvati turned back to the screen. "Damage" she said.

`damage type spell selected. `

`select damage amount. `

Parvati looked at Jasmine. "What is it asking me for now?"

"There are 3 ways for a spell to determine damage" Jasmine said. "You can have the game system roll dice to select damage. in which case you simply tell it the number of dice and the number of sides the dice have to work with for the spell. However, you are currently limited to one die because all we have is 18 experience points to work with. I'm not certain how many sides you're allowed to pick for your elemental alignment."

"The second type is to give it an exact number. For example, you could say that it deals 10 damage plus its spell modifiers. You don't have to say plus the modifiers that's automatic. Our spell modifiers are determined by our intelligence rating, so I don't know how powerful that'll be."

"The final type is known as a damage table. This also uses dice, however it's not the dice itself that shows the damage. You have to fill out a table of 20 values. When those spells cast the system will roll a 20-sided die, and whatever comes up will determine which value is added to the spell. I actually use one of these with my level one spell that I created before coming back."

"What spell is that, Jasmine?"

Jasmine smiled. "I created a spell called light Lance, which uses a damaged table to determine how much damage it does. Just for ease of figuring it out, I assigned each value going up by 2 every time the die went up by one. By that I mean if I rolled a 1 then when casting the spell, I would do only 2 damage. If I rolled of 2, I do 4, 3 6, 4 8, etc."

"Any limitations when it comes to the damaged table?"

Jasmine nodded. "The maximum amount that you're allowed to have the damaged table is 60. For every amount above that you'll need more experience points. I actually think that it is possible with 18 EXP to get up to 70, but I've never actually tried it."

Nodding Parvati turned back to the screen. "Damaged table" she said.

`damaged table selected `

Please fill in the following table. `

On the screen a table of 2 columns and 10 rows appeared.

"How do I assign values to the table" Parvati asked Jasmine.

Jasmine pointed to the table that was displayed on the screen below the spell. "Simply tap the number that you wish to assign a value to, then speak the value."

Parvati straightened her shoulders, and turning to the screen she reached out and tapped one.

Jasmine and Parvati walked back through the Corredor until they reached the intersection they had come to when they first enter the dungeon.

"Should we continue straight ahead to that corridor that turns, or should we turn towards the T intersection Jasmine thought allowed scanning her mini map.

Parvati tapped her fingers together. "I think we should continue straight ahead, and continue exploring these shorter corridors before we get into the T intersection."

Jasmine looked at Parvati in approval, nodded, and the 2 girls continue forward past the intersection and into the short Corredor. As they continue forward, they reached the corner, and Jasmine nearly jerked up right as her mini map came alive with enemies around it.

"Looks like we've got another battle on our hands" she said.

Parvati looked excited. "I'm looking forward to trying out my new spell" she said nearly clapping her hands in anticipation.

Jasmine had to caution her. "Don't forget, you have limited MP right now. I have just as little as you do, and I have to be careful with my spell as well."

"By the way Jasmine, I thought you were an earth elemental. How is it you have a spell called light Lance?"

Jasmine giggled. "Remember I said you can call the spell anything you like. It is an earth type spell; it's just called light Lance."

Parvati giggled along with her. "Do you think we can get the drop on these enemies?"

Jasmine crouch down, and peeked her head around the corner of the hallway. To her surprise halfway down the hall she saw a group of what looked like a dozen bats clinging to the ceiling. Their eyes were closed, but she knew that bats didn't you cite to get around, instead they used sound. It was possible that they were asleep, but there was no way for her to tell.

"Our next group of enemies are bats it looks like" she said. "I can't tell if they're asleep or not, so I don't know if we can get the drop on them."

Parvati looked thoughtful. "Is there any way for us to tell what element weakness they have?"

Jasmine went ramrod straight at that question. "I forgot entirely" she said pulling up her character sheet, and flipping to her ability page. "I forgot I have the scan ability. I can determine an enemy's elemental affinity, so long as the enemy is not 5 or more levels higher than I am."

So, saying Jasmine tapped the scan ability on her page, then tapped the group of enemies on her mini map.

`scanning `

`enemy determined, sky that. Element air

Weakness earth.

Status asleep `

Jasmine growled. "Well, this is certainly a fix" she said nearly slapping herself in the head. "There a week to my element, but I don't have any spells that can land on them."

Parvati was giggling at jasmines state. "What will happen to them if I hit them with one of my spells?"

"As you and they share the same element, you'll deal half damage."

"What about our Hogwarts spells?"

Jasmine smiled. "As far as I know those don't have any elemental effects. Unless it's one of the elemental spells such as Incendio they would be neutral."

Nodding Parvati took Jasmine's arm, and the 2 of them walked around the corner being as quiet as they could. It seemed though that one of the bats was only faking sleep, as it flew at them screeching. This woke up the entire group, and they all flew it Parvati and Jasmine.

`combat start `

`Jasmine's turn `

Unnerved by the swarm that was coming at them jasmine instead of casting a spell, or even Rasing her wand, lashed out with one of her fists. To her surprise it connected with one of the bats and sent it flying into the Stonewall to the right.

`Skybat 1 defeated.

For experience gained `

`Parvati's turn `

Jasmine stared in amazement at what she had done with a simple punch. "I didn't think I was that powerful" she said looking around in surprise.

Parvati instead of trying to comfort or console Jasmine, raised her wand, took careful aim at the center of the swarm, and cast "impedimenta".

The spell rocketed out of her wand, and slowed every one of the bats down.

`slow status inflicted on Skybat 2.

Slow status inflicted on Skybat 3

Slow status inflicted on Skybat 4.

Slow status inflicted on Skybat 5.

Slow status inflicted on Skybat 6.

Slow status inflicted on Skybat 7.

Slow status inflicted on Skybat 8.

Stop status inflicted on Skybat 9.

Jasmine grinned as she saw something Flickr on the map, and the turn order in the upper right corner of the screen changed.

`Jasmine's turn `

"that's a perfect example of a status spell" Jasmine said clapping Parvati on the shoulder. "Slow status makes it harder for their turns to come up, and stop status stops him in their tracks."

Parvati smiled back. "It's your turn now" she said. "Why don't you take out some more of those bats."

Nodding Jasmine raised her wand. "Bombarda" she said casting a spell. The explosion rocked the whole tunnel.

`Skybat 2 defeated

Skybat 3 defeated. 4 experience gained.

Skybat 4 defeated. For experience gained.

"Wasn't that a little overkill?"

Jasmine smiled and she giggled. "Perhaps" she said. "But I got the job done, didn't I?"

Parvati giggled, and taking Jasmine's hand the 2 of them continue down the Corredor.

"For a chamber of secrets this place is sure empty" Parvati said as they cleared another room in the dungeon.

Jasmine nodded. "It's a lot bigger than the one that I visited before getting the gamer power, but it's just as empty as the original."

Parvati nodded, glancing at the mini map as they walked back towards the T intersection once more. "We've explored the shorten Corredor, the longer Corredor leading back to the entrance, and we've explored half of this T intersection. Where else can we go?"

"Well, we still have one more corridor to follow."

"Yeah, but let's hope it doesn't lead to a dead end like the last 3 did."

Jasmine nodded as the 2 girls approach the T intersection ready to continue forward.

`warning, structural integrity in danger. Time limit placed.

Time remaining before collapse, 20 minutes `

"Looks like casting that spell wasn't such a good idea after all. Parvati said tapping the message so it would disappear.

"I hear you Parvati" Jasmine said sighing. "I guess I got a little carried away."

"Although" Parvati said softly, "why is it just now giving us this message. It's been more than 10 minutes since you cast the bombardment spell back at the bats."

That stop Jasmine short. "You're right" she said. "I wonder why the structural integrity is now in danger."

Parvati shook her head.

"Let's hurry, maybe will find out if we can get to the door before the timer drops down more."

So, saying the 2 girls ran to the T intersection, and ran almost headfirst into a creature that had been waiting just out of sight.

`combat start.

Ambushed. `

This message was accompanied by a red swirl that in case both girls from head to toe. Unlike the other battles that they had participated in, this time the red swirl did not dim in any way shape or form. It was also evident what the system meant by ambush, as the creature struck out with a mighty fist towards Parvati who was in the lead.

Unwilling to let her friend get hurt, Jasmine dove in front of Parvati pushing her back at the same time.

' SWAC'

`Jasmine takes 10 damage. `

Jasmine was sent flying by the fist. She landed against the wall hitting her head.

`warning knocked out.

Jasmine is knocked out for this battle, and cannot take her turn without being healed. `

Parvati stared at her friend in surprise, then turn to the creature in anger.

"So that's how it is" she said narrowing her eyes. "Let's see how you deal with the power that I can wield" she said

The creature identified as a golem by the system screen, roared in challenge.

"Espresso" Parvati said casting her newest spell at the golem.

As Parvati's blast of wind slammed into the golem it was picked up, and flung along the corridor. It's slammed headfirst into the wall, where it started to break apart. Parvati was surprised as the creature seem to be made entirely of Rock. Perhaps that was why her spell did so much damage? In any event it looked like she had defeated it with a single spell.

`earth golem defeated.

20 experience gained. `

Dismissing the popup that had appeared, Parvati hurried over to Jasmine to check her over.

groaning Jasmine sat up. "Holy cow" she said. "What hit me?"

Parvati was still checking her over. "You ran straight into the attack from what I would only assume is an earth golem" she said. "It knocked you out, forcing me to take it on by myself."

Wincing Jasmine glanced at her hp on the screen. She lost 10 hit points doing that, but it would've been a lot worse if that attack had connected with Parvati.

"Are you OK Parvati?"

Parvati giggled as she finished checking over Jasmine. "I'm fine" she said. "I took it out with one cast of my new spell."

Jasmine smiled, and applauded Parvati's move. "Let's see what that guy was guarding anyway" she said getting to her feet.

"By the way Jasmine. How do we know how much damage we can take?"

Jasmine paused, then slapped herself on the side of the head.

"You check your combat stats" she said pointing to Parvati's character sheet.

Parvati frowned as she searched for her health.

"I don't see it" she said.

Jasmine giggled, and pointed to Parvati's hp.

Blinking Parvati saw a set of stats she hadn't noticed when setting up her character.

– Separator –

Hp: 30

Mp: 30

Spell bonus: 30

Resistance: 30

Attack Combo: 4

– Separator –

"How did the game arrive at these values?"

Jasmine smiled.

"Hp is determined by adding your primary attribute to your dexterity.

Mp is determined by adding your primary attribute to your mana.

Spell Bonus is used when casting our elemental spells. It is added to the roll for hitting with a spell. it is determined by adding your primary attribute to your intelligence stat.

Resistance is the counter to the Spell Bonus. A spell caster will need to overcome their target's resistance to connect with a spell.

Resistance is determined by adding your primary attribute to your charm stat.

Finally, the Attack Combo tells you how many physical attacks you may perform in 1 move.

For example, my attack combo is 6, so I can unleash 6 punches once I find a pair of boxing gloves.

Attack Combo is determined by adding your primary attribute to your dexterity, then for every 10 points in the result you add 1 to your attack combo."

Parvati studied her stats.

"So, I would add my dex to my dex giving me 30, and for every 10 points out of that 30 I would add 1 to my attack combo?"

Jasmine nodded.

"Ok. I think I understand. I think."

"Don't worry about it too much Parvati. The gaming system will take care of the calculations for us."

Parvati nodded to jasmine, and the 2 of them walked down the hallway glancing around not only at their surroundings, but the mini map as well. Neither one wanted to get caught off guard again by an enemy that they would've seen if they hadn't been running. They followed the corridor all the way to the end where they found another door.

"Well, it looks like this is the last room we can check" Jasmine said reaching for the door handle. And she tugged on it and then noxious gas started to fill the Corredor.

"Cough, cough, what's happening?"

Jasmine drew her wand and quickly cast a bubblehead charm over them both. "Looks like a gas trap" she said tugging on the door handle again. The gas seemed to get thicker, but thanks to the bubblehead charm the 2 girls were still safe from the gas.

"OK that's it" Jasmine said losing her temper, she pulled back her arm and slugged the door with her fist as hard as she could.

To Parvati's surprise the door was sent flying by Jasmine's punch heading into the room. Their mini map came alive just as the door had flown off its hinges, however whatever had been in there was smashed by the door slamming into the back wall. The blips on the mini map had blinked out as soon as that occurred.

"Well, that's one way to take out the trash" Parvati said pointing to the mini map.

Jasmine blushed. "I keep forgetting that I have pretty good strength" she said looking down. "I wasn't expecting the door to fly like that."

"Don't worry about its Jasmine" Parvati said putting 1 arm around her. "At least we don't have to fight whatever was in here."

The 2 girls enter the room, and blinked at the sight of the chest that was sitting on a platform in the center of the room.

"OK," Parvati said looking puzzled. "How is it that the door missed the chest, but slammed into whatever enemies were in here?"

Shaking her head Jasmine responded, "no idea. Although it looks like the chest wasn't in a straight line from where the door was, so that might be why."

With a shrug the 2 girls walked over to the chest and examined it.

"Think this one is trapped like the door was?"

"No idea" Jasmine replied pulling out one of her hair pins.

"What's with the hairpin?"

"No idea if the chest itself is locked. And one thing I learned from the Weasley twins is how to pick a lock."

Before Jasmine could see if the lock needed to be picked, Parvati reached out and lifted the chest lid.

"Well, that answers both questions" she said looking in at the chess contents.

The chest contained 4 items. There was a leather bag that contains some type of gems at least from what Jasmine could tell. There was a key ring with a single key on it, which Jasmine was sure was the boss key that they've been searching for. There was a sword, which she knew neither one of them could use although it would be useful when they got a light elemental on their team. And finally, there was an actual short bow sitting at the chest bottom.

"Hey Parvati" she said pointing to the bow. "Looks like you found a weapon."

Parvati nodded, smiled, and reached out for the bow. Picking it up a message appeared on her screen.

`New weapon obtained.

Equip short bow? Y/N `

Tapping the Y on her screen, the short boat disappeared from the chest, and appeared in a slot above her on the screen.

"How do I use it if it's up there?"

Jasmine smiled. "The items equipped. All you have to do when combat starts are select an attack instead of using your spell. Unfortunately, you'll have to put your wand away in order to use the bow."

Nodding Parvati opened her inventory page that Jasmine had shown her during their exploration, and placed her wand into one of the empty slots. As soon as she had, the bow slipped out of the slot above her, and landed in her hand.

"Well At least I have a weapon for when we take on the boss now" she said as Jasmine picked up the other items in the chest.

"You sure do Parvati Jasmine said as the chest lid closed. "Let's make our way back to the boss door" she said pointing to the timer still ticking down. "We've got less than 10 minutes to get there.

The 2 of them scampered out of the room, ran back down the Corredor towards the T intersection, and turning ran towards the long Corredor that led to the boss door. As they arrived in front of the door, they noticed the timer starting to tick faster.

"We need to get in there before that timer hits zero" Parvati said pointing at the timer that had gone from 5:30 to 3:01.

Yanking the key ring out of her inventory, Jasmine jammed the key into the lock. Turning it not only did she hear the door click, but she saw the timer freeze.

"Well, it's time for our first boss fight" she said wiping her sweaty hands on her skirt. "I have no idea what's in there, so let's be prepared."

Nodding Parvati stood beside Jasmine as she pushed open the door. The 2 girls were sucked in through the door way before the door slammed shut and vanished into the Stone wall.

– Separator-

The 2 girls found themselves in what Jasmine recognized as the original chamber of secrets. The statue of Salazar Slytherin was still there, it's mouth wide-open just as it was when she had left the chamber 2 years ago. The dead basilisk corpse was still laying where it had fallen when she had plunged the sword through its mouth. However, unlike the last time she was here she found 3 people standing in the room.

"And here I thought our task would be uninterrupted" a man in the middle-said leering at the 2 girls.

"What are you so worried about Mark" The man on the right said also leering at the girls. "We've got 2 unguarded girls here who will provide us some entertainment before we harvest this basilisk and get plenty of money."

Both Jasmine and Parvati stiffened at the man's words, but looked over to the third individual who seem to just be leaning against the wall. This person wore a cloak that had their hood pulled up over their heads, and didn't seem to be speaking. In fact, this individual didn't seem to be taking any notice of anyone at all. Was it possible that he was an Inferiss, under another type of spell, or was he just not aware of what was going on around him?

"We may not be guarded" Jasmine said raising her wand, "but that does not mean we are helpless."

The 2 men laughed. "Oh, so you're using a wand" the man on the right said leering even more at the girls. "You'll find that that's going to have a hard time hitting us."

The man in the middle snickered, then raised his own hand and fired a blue beam at them.

`Boss Fight

combat start `

Jasmine and Parvati simply side stepped the beam as it was coming at them.

`Jasmine stern `

to Jasmine's surprise, the 2 men seem to know about the gaming system. After all they took note of the message that had showed up on the screen.

Jasmine made a gesture with her wand that actually made both men stiffen, until she said something else "light Lance ".

Both men snorted, that is until a small stone spear rocketed out of Jasmine's skin and slammed into the man in the center.

`Marcus Roland takes 8 damage. `

`Parvati's turn. `

Parvati raised her short bow and fired a bolt very quickly.

Neither man head been prepared for this attack, and the bolt slammed into the chest of the man on the right.

`Jamison Roland takes 3 damage. `

`Jamison's turn `

Jamison pulled the bolt out of his chest wincing at the pain. Scowling in fury he raised his hand and lunged forward with a punch.

Jasmine wasn't fooled for a minute. As an earth elemental she knew what a punch actually looked like so she pulled Parvati out of the path of whatever he was actually trying to do.

`Stone gays, missed `

`Marcus's turn`

Marcus scowled and turned towards the man who was leaning against the wall. "Deal with these intruders" he said pointing at the girls.

The figure leaning against the wall stirred and opened his eyes. his eyes were shining a bright blue color, and seem to be implanted with some type of sapphire. Jasmine wondered who he was, or even what he was. He didn't look like any human she had ever seen before in her life, and that wasn't saying much since she had been gone for 10 years according to her.

`Sapphire golem has awakened `

`inserting Sapphire golem into turn lineup.

Turn order determined `

`jasmines turn `

Jasmines eyes widened at the message that appeared on the screen. She'd heard of Sapphire golems before, but she wondered what Marcus was using to control 1. So far as she knew golems did not like being controlled, and would go on a rampage if the control was broken. They had to take out the 2 controlling this golem, and then hope that they could survive the rampage itself.

Raising her wand Jasmine looked towards the golem. "Duro" she whispered swinging her wand to point at Jamison before either could react. The spell slammed into Jamison turning him to stone.

`Jamison defeated.

Experience to be determined at the end of the fight `

Marcus stared in shock. His brother had just been turned to stone by the bitch who was still wielding her wand. He could still take out the girls though. After all he still had the Sapphire golem on his side.

`Sapphire golems turn `

This creature focused its eyes solely on Jasmine.

"This isn't going to be good" she thought preparing herself for the golems attack.

They golem lashed out with a fist, but to Jasmine's surprise the first opened at the last instant, and grabbed Jasmine around the waist. Jasmine couldn't move, meaning she was a sitting duck for any physical, or even spell type of attacks.

Parvati watched on in shock as Jasmine was easily captured. "Is this going to happen all the time" She asked herself.

`Jasmine is grappled.

Movement reduced to zero. `

Marcus smiled as he saw the message pop up. She would have no chance of dodging any attack he sent it her now. He just had to worry about the other girl. That bow gave her a pretty good range, and who knew else what other tricks she had upper sleeve.

`Parvati's turn `

Parvati acted as if she was drawing back her bow again. Marcus prepared to step out of the path of her shot. After all, as a shadow elemental, he was quite a tank, but he wasn't invincible.

However, to Marcus's surprise her bow vanished and her wand was in her hand. "Bombarda she whispered sending a spell at Marcus.

Marcus simply attempted to sidestep the spell, except that he hadn't been her target. The wall behind Marcus exploded sending rock chunks into his back doing significant damage to him.

`Marcus takes 55 damage.

critically injured. `

Marcus fell to his knees in pain. He had never experienced that type of attack before, and he didn't know how to deal with it. As a shadow elemental he didn't have access to any healing spells, and he knew the next attack would really hurt him.

`Marcus's turn `

Painfully Marcus got to his feet. Raising his hand, he called out his own spell.

"Shadow beam"

He ignored the message that it popped up just as he was about to cast a spell.

`warning, warning

Spell will exhaust mana reserves, and deal direct physical damage to caster `

It was unfortunate that he ignored the spell message, as the beam left his hand he cried out in pain as 17 damage was Delta him.

`mark is defeated.

Experience will be determined at the end of the fight. `

As Marcus fell to the ground, the spell that was keeping the golem in their room dissipated. The golem looked around in fury, noticed that the 2 that had taken control of it were either turned to stone or on the ground, and that they were no longer controlling him. The 2 girls looked scared as a beam rocketed toward them.

The golem noticing, he had one of the girls in his own grip moved out of the way of the beam so as not to get hit by it. Parvati followed so as not to be hit by the shadow beam. It was a good thing too because the beam tore another chunk out of the wall, causing one of the snake statues to crash to the ground right where the girls had been standing.

`combat complete

Experience for Boss Fight, 300.

Experience for secret objective: deal no damage to the summoned golem 500.

Reward for Boss Fight: one pair of silver gloves. `

As the golem released Jasmine from its grip She turned and bowed to the golem. She now understood how this Sapphire golem had gotten trapped in here, and there was no way she was going to prevent the Sapphire golem from leaving. She was glad to receive the silver gloves. Because she had skipped right past the leather gloves which she knew Pre had to start with.

~Thank you for releasing me from control of those things ~

Jasmine and Parvati stiffened in surprise as the golem's voice reverberated throughout their heads.

~I will be returning to my home now, however when you are powerful enough you may summon me to Ade you in combat~ the golem said while looking at Jasmine.

Jasmine bowed, then pausing walked over to where she noticed the snake statue fall. Examining the statue, she found exactly what she was looking for, and tore a sapphire out of the heart of the statue. Walking back over to the golem she offered it to him.

~Take this as an offering of friendship instead of servitude~ she thought holding out the gem.

The golem seemed to smile at the girls, and reaching out with one of his hands took the sapphire gem from jasmine.

~You are a warrior of honor ~it said then turning vanished into thin air.

AN: and at last, I'm done with the first dungeon of the game. Hopefully I won't be putting you through too many of these, after all we're supposed to be showing how she uses this power to overcome the tri-Wizard tournament. However, I do need to put Jasmine at least through 6 of these, because they will be used to get the items that she will need for each task, and yes, the silver gloves will come in handy for the dragon that she will be facing. I don't know if I will be keeping to the order of the dragons that are in Cannon, but we will see when we get there.

This is the last of the pre-written chapters I have, and so I'm unsure what I will be uploading next week, but until then enjoy.

In any event that's it for this chapter, and I'll see you all next time.
