Zuko decides it would be best for Azula if she was treated at home, and he practically turns into one of her doctors, taking care of her 24/7. Sometimes, instead of nightmares, Azula will be sleepwalk, and Zuko is the only one who can wake up her without a problem. Eventually, she'd sleepwalk looking for him, opening his door and laying next to him in his bed without even realizing it. Zuko lets her.
One night, however, Azula is surprised to see that apparently all the stress of being Fire Lord, trying to rebuild a world destroyed by war, AND caring for his little sister finally got to him, and Zuko is the one to just throw himself at her bed in the middle of the night. He keeps repeating that he has to protect her, and Azula just goes with it and lets him stay.
The next morning Zuko is super embarrassed… and then feels really happy when Azula tells him they should just sleep in the same room if they're going to keep looking for each other at night anyway.
