Anon asked: Zucest arranged marriage headcanons please!
Yay! My favorite!
If they grew up knowing they'd marry each other someday, they'd be doing all kinds of cutesy shit: handholding, forehead kisses, "dates" (playing) at sunset, looking at the stars together, calling each other "My Lord" and "My Lady", and repeating every single romantic line from every play they watch together at Ember Island. They'd also sneak into each other's bedroom every now and again, and everyone is losing their minds since these two "want to do everything married couples do" and they momentarily forget that Azula and Zuko are still children and don't know what sex is. When their big day finally came, they'd be super happy.
If they were forced to get engaged (be it during Book 3 'cos bitchlord Ozai wants some super power grandchildren or after the show ended so Ozai's supporters will cut Zuko some slack since he married Azula) they would constantly be at each other's throats…
While also getting really possessive. Zuko would try to use the fact that he is going to be the Fire Lord as a way to force Azula to submit to him, while she would constantly tease him, saying he can stop pretending he isn't loving this, and that she knows he always wanted her. Neither of them caves, and the whole situation just makes them more and more frustrated.
During the ceremony, everyone can see that rage in their eyes, and are terrified one or both of them might snap and attack the other right then and there, ruining the whole thing. Miraculously, everyone survives it, and prays they won't wake up to the news that one of them (probably Azula) murdered the other.
Once they're alone in their room, they're awfully quiet. Slowly, they get close to each other, both visibly nervous. Zuko tells Azula they don't have to do it if she doesn't want to, and she just kisses him. They both lose control after that.
The next morning, everyone in the palace is tired since the angry love birds didn't let them sleep. Neither Zuko nor Azula acknowledge the fact that they're both covered in bruises, small burns, and bite marks.
