"Their relationship is a little rocky" that's a really nice way of saying "Their relationship is a series of disasters, backstabbing, and repressed feelings."
If they knew they'd have to share a bed, they'd be finding all sorts of excuses to stay up a little longer, not wanting to be near each other for obvious reasons. If they had not realized that until they were already tired, it'd be less likely that they would fight before sleeping, but there would still be a very high chance of that happening.
They'd lie down with their backs turned to each other, and avoiding any kind of physical contact. They'd both take a long time to fall asleep, unable to relax knowing the other is so close to them.
Just as the sun started to rise, Azula would wake up, feeling warm and comfortable… and then she'd realize Zuko moved in his sleep and has his arms around her. She almost dies of embarrassment when she tries to move away, and her brother holds her tight… and starting to rub his erection against her.
She'd practically jump out of bed, and immediately start screaming at a very confused Zuko who just woke up. They'd both be mortified and agree to never talk about it ever again and spend weeks avoiding each other… until Azula caves and just walks into his room in the middle of the night and basically throws herself on his bed. He hugs her without a word.
