A/N: This chapter is long and emotional.

Draco held his now five-year-old son's hand as the two walked to Pansy's house. He was still numb after everything happened.

It's been weeks since her death, Draco tried to be strong for Scorpius but at night he would break down into tears. He failed to save her from Amanda, he wished he could have protected her, he couldn't even mention her name without his eyes filling up with tears.

Draco saw Pansy and Blaise sitting on the couch, all of them were grieving in different ways. Draco looked down at his son who was holding a little stuff animal, Narcissa heard the news of her death and decided to buy Scorpius a stuffed animal after what happened. Inside of the bear, there was an enchanted audio recording of Y/N saying; I love you Scorp.

It was hard for Draco to explain to his son that his mother wasn't coming back. They both cried as they grieved for her, one for a mother and another for a love.

Pansy looked at Draco and gave him a sad smile while Blaise's eyes held sadness, all of them lost a friend while Scorpius lost his mother.

"Daddy," Scorpius spoke quietly, Draco looked down at his son. It was the first time Scorpius spoke to someone ever since the tragedy.

"Yes, son?" Draco replied.

"Will I ever see mommy again?" Scorpius asked as tears rolled down his face. Draco hated seeing his son like this.

"You will see her again but we will have to wait until that day arrives." Draco took a deep breath, trying to contain his tears from flowing down his face. Scorpius watched his father, the small boy knew his father was sad over his mother's death.

"Why did she have to go?" Scorpius whispered.

"Because heaven wanted another angel," Pansy replied as she knew Draco could break down at any moment.

"Do you think mommy is a beautiful angel?" Scorpius asked, with a small tear rolling down his face.

"Yes, she is," Draco replied with a small smile on his face. "She is looking over us, she wants us to be strong."

"Do you miss her?" Scorpius asked. Draco nodded.

"We all miss her Scorp but I want you to know that your mother will always be in our hearts," Draco replied. Scorpius nodded.

Scorpius let go of his father's hand and walked towards a picture frame of Pansy and his mother when they were young. He stared at the photo.

"I miss you, mommy, I know daddy will look after me so will auntie Pansy and uncle Blaise...I love you." Scorpius kissed the photo frame before placing it back in its place. He went to Pansy's side and sat on her lap.

All of them talked about what happened and what will they do. They didn't notice that Scorpius had eventually fallen asleep. Pansy looked down to see the sleeping boy on her chest.

"Blaise, can you take Scorp to the guest's room?" Blaise nodded as he got up to take Scorpius' from Pansy's arms and went to the guest's room, leaving Draco and Pansy alone.

"Draco, I have to give you something," Pansy spoke as she took out two envelopes which were written for Draco and Scorpius. "Y/N wrote these letters. One for you and one for Scorpius, I'm not sure if you want to give this letter to him since he is still young but you can read yours."

Draco looked at the two letters in her hands, their names neatly written in her handwriting.

"I will give Scorpius' letter when he is a bit older," Draco replied. Pansy nodded and handed the two letters to him before standing up.

"I will leave you alone so you can read them." Pansy walked out of the room.

Draco carefully opened the letter from the envelope before reading it;

Dear love,

I guess Pansy already gave you these letters, I want to tell you that I'm sorry I can't be with you or Scorpius but don't feel guilty about my death. It wasn't your fault, it was her fault. It wasn't a chance to save myself. I know you are still upset that I went back to the cabin but I had to save you, I would have given my life to save you and our son.

Please don't blame yourself that you couldn't save me. We both knew our fate but we didn't want to accept it. I don't know how will Scorpius feel when he realizes I'm not coming home to you two, he's only four. He doesn't deserve to lose a mother.

Draco, I want you to raise our son. I know it won't be easy without my presence but I will be with you both spiritually. I know Pansy and Blaise will help out and I'm thankful for them.

I also wrote a letter to Scorpius, I want you to give him my letter when he is older. I know he is too young to know what happened to me but when he is older he will understand that I had to save you so Scorpius wouldn't lose a father as well.

I remember those years ago where I had to raise him on my own and how he was fatherless but now he has you. Make memories with him, protect him, and especially love him. I did all of those things when you weren't here but now it's your turn to make these memories with him.

We will meet again my love, we have to wait a little longer. I love you Draco and I'm so glad I met you. We will be reunited again my love in another life, I will be always with you until your final days.

Love,

Y/N.

By now Draco had tears streaming down his face as he admired her handwriting but he knew he had a promise to himself, he had to raise Scorpius on his own. He had to refill Y/N's wishes and he would do that no matter how much her death hurts him.

...10 years later...

"Dad! Were out of bread!" Scorpius' voice echoed around the house. Draco walked out of the living room to find his fifteen-year-old son searching for bread.

"I thought you were supposed to buy it yesterday?" Draco asked as he fixed his glasses.

"Well, I was until I remembered I was busy." Scorpius crossed his arms. Draco couldn't believe it's been ten years since her passing, he still mourns for her but he never fell in love again, even though Pansy tried to convince him to go on a date with someone but Draco refused. His reason was that his heart only belonged to Y/N.

"I will buy bread tomorrow son," Draco replied. Scorpius nodded as he grabbed an apple before sitting on one of the stools. "How's school?"

"Ok, Albus and I are really good friends unlike you and his dad." Scorpius rolled his eyes as he took a bite out of the apple.

"Can't believe Potter's kid is a Slytherin." Draco chuckled.

"Dad..." Scorpius warned. "Mom wouldn't like that." Draco looked at Scorpius, he knew she didn't like it when Draco would be mean to the other houses when they attended Hogwarts.

"I know she wouldn't...she wouldn't even talk to me when I bullied other students because of their houses and blood status but your mother taught me that all of us are the same," Draco said.

"I still miss her." Scorpius looked down. "I still can't believe it's been ten years since she died."

Draco could hear the heartbreak in his voice then he remembered the letter.

"Scorp, before your mother left us she wrote us a letter to the both of us. I read my letter and she wanted me to give you your letter when you were a bit older and I feel like the time is right." Draco spoke.

"I want to read it," Scorpius replied. Draco nodded and went to retrieve the letter from his office. A few minutes later he returned with the letter in his hands and gave it to his son. "I will be in my room."

Scorpius went to his room and closed his door as he sat on the bed. He stared at the envelope, his name neatly written on the front...the letter looked brand new even though this letter was written ten years ago, his father kept it in perfect condition.

Scorpius shakily opened the envelope. His heart was racing as he wanted to know what his mother wrote to him before her death. He carefully unfolded the letter as he was met with his mother's handwriting. He began to read his letter;

My baby Scorp,

I'm not sure when you will read this letter but I want you to know that what happened that day wasn't your father's fault. I knew my fate and I had accepted it, I had to save your father from her. I couldn't let you lose one of us but I sacrificed my life for love.

For the love, I had for your father and you. I knew I was saying my goodbyes to you and your father but it wasn't easy...I'm sorry we couldn't be a family, but remember all the memories we had when we were a family.

I know I won't be with you physically but I will always watch over you, I love you Scorp, my firstborn. I know you must look like your father, I just hope you don't get his attitude...don't tell your father about that. I want you to be strong, I know you can. You brought happiness and joy to my life, You made me smile when I was upset.

In the envelope, there is a photograph of when you were born. It's my favorite photo.

I want you to live your life without worrying about anyone hurting you. I know you will be successful in what you do and remember I will always be proud of you.

Love,

Mommy.

Scorpius let out a sob as his vision was blurred by his tears. He reached for the envelope to find the photograph that his mother mentioned. He stared at the photo seeing his mother looking at him when he was a newborn. He had never seen this photograph before, more tears fell from his eyes as he admired the photo.

He turned the photograph over to find words written on the back.

Scorpius Hyperion Malfoy.

The best gift I received.

Draco stood by the door, he was also crying by seeing his son, heartbroken. He went to his son's side and hugged his son. Scorpius let out his grief while his father comforted him just like when he did when he was a child.

"I miss her dad. It hurts me so much...I hate that lady. She took away my mother." Scorpius cried while Draco cried with him. "I want to see her again, I miss her voice or how she always comforted me whenever I had a nightmare." He let out a whimper.

"I hate her too...but your mother only wanted us to be safe." Draco sobbed.

"And I thank her for that, she always loved us and still does wherever she is." Scorpius wiped away his tears. The two of them let out their pain by their cries. They needed each other, they needed to help each other move on from their grief.

It was a few months since the letter incident. Scorpius and Draco had been able to find peace by visiting Y/N's grave and talking to her, letting out their emotions. It wasn't easy to find that peace that was ripped away from them ten years ago but they managed to find peace.

Scorpius was out with his friends while Draco was at home working on some paperwork when he heard a knock at the front door. He stopped what he was doing and opened the door to reveal an Auror.

"May I help you?" Draco asked a bit curious. The man nodded.

"It's Amanda." The man replied. Draco's blood boil at the mention of her while he began thinking of what she wanted? Could she have managed to escape Azkaban? Was she still the same as crazy?

"Did she escape Azkaban?" Draco asked, fearing about the safety of Scorpius and himself. The man shooked his head and sighed.

"She wants to see you." He responded.

"Me? Why?" Draco asked a bit shocked that she wants to see him after ten years.

"She's dying."

Karma.

Draco nodded and progressed this information. "Oh." He replied.

"She told me that she wants to talk to you before she passes away." The man said. Draco nodded, was he going to meet with Amanda? He wanted to lash out at her for taking away the person he loved. He wanted to let her know what she caused.

"Can I meet her tomorrow?" Draco asked. The man nodded and wrote it down.

"We know what she had done and I'm sorry what happened to Ms. Y/L/N." Draco just nodded. The man bid his goodbyes while Draco let out a sigh.

He was gonna meet Amanda again.

Draco slipped on his coat while Scorpius was watching his father.

"Where are you going?" Scorpius asked while he ate his cereal.

"I have some errands. I won't be out long." Draco replied. "Be good while I'm gone."

Scorpius chuckled. "Don't worry dad."

Draco left his home and went to the place to meet Amanda. He was in mixed emotions, he was angry at her for what she has done. The other was nervous what if she was the same as the last time he saw her. He followed a guard to her prison cell.

"This is it." The guard opened the cell. Draco walked through to see her, lying on the bed. She was fragile and anyone who saw her would have given her sympathy but for him, he had no sympathy.

Amanda opened her eyes to see Draco standing there. He sat down on a chair beside her bed.

"Draco." She spoke quietly as she tried to sit up.

"They told me you wanted to see me before you die." Amanda nodded and looked at Draco, she saw in his eyes held pain, anger, and confusion.

"I wanted to talk to you before I die in here..." She trailed off. Draco nodded.

"What is it?" He asked impatiently. "My son is waiting for me back home."

Amanda nodded and began to think about what she had to say.

"I want to say how I'm sorry for everything I've done to you, Scorpius, and Y/N. I regretted what happened that day. I know you and Scorpius hate my guts and I deserve that. I was angry at myself when you dumped me, I wanted revenge." She confessed.

"You had every right to be mad at me but you took it too far," Draco replied. Amanda nodded.

"I was selfish. I wanted you to myself but I never thought of the damage I've caused." Amanda spoke. She felt tears in the corner of her eyes.

"You took away the person I love. You took away Scorpius' mother...I will never forgive you for what you caused to my family." Draco spat out. Amanda looked down.

"I'm not asking for forgiveness but I wanted you to know that I regret everything I've done. Being in here made me realize how awful I was and when I found out I was gonna die I knew I had to talk to you." Amanda said. "I know I can't bring Y/N back but I hope you understand I carry this guilt every day, remembering I took someone special from you."

"I don't deserve your pity. You ruined my life and Scorpius', you caused a lot of damage...I had to be strong for my son, he is the reason why I'm still alive, without Scorpius I would have died with Y/N as well." Draco's voice cracked. "She was the best thing that ever happened to me, she gave me a son, she showed me, love...I loved her and I still do, I will never stop loving her."

"I know sorry won't be enough but I'm truly am sorry about what happened that day ten years ago. I wish this had a different outcome but I'm serving the time I have left in here." She said, Draco glared at her.

"I can never forget that day, I can't forgive you after everything you did to me...you have no idea what you took away from me. You want to know what I found out what they wrote down in her autopsy report, she was pregnant. She was expecting my child..." Amanda's mouth fell open.

"Draco, I had no idea she was pregnant," Amanda responded, feeling guilty that she killed her and her unborn child.

"I also had no idea as well, she probably knew or not but you just didn't kill her that day. You killed my unborn child." Draco stood up from his chair. "I can never forgive you. You don't deserve any pity, goodbye Amanda. I hope you suffer your last days in guilt for killing the person I love and my child." Draco walked away, no turning back. The guard let him out.

Draco apparated home to find Scorpius reading a book.

"You're finally back, dad." Scorpius closed the book. "Took you long enough." Draco let out a laugh.

"I'm sorry son, I hope you didn't get bored while I was gone." Scorpius shooked his head and smiled.

"I'm going to sleep, night dad." Scorpius got up from the couch. Draco watched his son.

"Night son, I love you," Draco called out as Scorpius walked up the stairs. He turned around to face his father.

"Love you too." Scorpius went to his room. Draco went to his office and sat down on his chair, he loosened his tie and opened up his drawer to find Scorpius' baby photo album. He opened it up and he flipped through the pages from when Scorpius was a newborn until his teenage years. After Y/N's death he continued taking photos of Scorpius as he grew older, he kept every of Scorpius' drawings or every father's day card.

He had fulfilled Y/N's wish and he couldn't wait for what the future held for him and Scorpius. His eyes landed on a photo frame of Y/N and himself when they were in their fourth year at Hogwarts. A smile appeared on his face as he stared at the photo as he remembered what she wrote to him before her death and knew he will see her again but he wasn't sure when. He picked up the photo frame and traced his fingertip over her face.

"We will meet again my love."
