Awn, so cute! It gets even better in a scenario where Zuko is much taller, so he has to hold the umbrella up for the two of them, while Azula is just glued to his side and holding onto his arm with both hands.
Anon asked: I dont think zucest as a fandom discusses the height difference enough. Ursa was much shorter than Ozai and in canon Zuko gets really tall as an adult, so I think Azula either stays her size or grows only a couple of inches more and is much shorter than Zuko and loves it
She DOES love it… but she won't admit it, because she has to win at absolutely EVERYTHING. But it also includes being shorter than him, so she has bit of a problem XD

Dragomer and I once discussed the idea of Azula acting more like a cute little child around Zuko after he became Fire Lord so he'd spoil her and spend time with her… including her pretending she was now scared of storms and lightning so Zuko will be all protective and caring.

(And a touch of a touch of modern AU even though that's usually not my style) Zuko and Azula sitting together on their couch watching TV with the blankets covering their bottom halves. Azula is huddling close to Zuko while he plays with her hair. Azula seems to be interested in what's on the TV, so she's not paying attention to how Zuko is playing with her hair nor is she paying attention to the way he's looking at her. She doesn't know it, but his face shows how this is the happiest he's ever been. In his mind all he can think about is how happy he is to be with Azula and how he happy he is to see that she's recovered. He stopped paying attention to the TV a while ago because he couldn't take his mind off of her. She's unaware of all this until she turns her head slightly to look at Zuko's face. She's not sure what's gotten into her, but seeing him look so happy and peaceful makes her want to cry. So against her will she does. When Zuko asks what's wrong, she doesn't even know what to say. But she still tries to muster up an answer and she says, "You're the only one who's ever made me feel so loved." And he understands what she means and smiles at her warmly. He turns off the TV and they end up falling asleep while cuddling on the couch together.
Great. Now I'm the one who is crying.
