Chapter 58: Disassembling the GUN Part 7: Who are you?

All Events are happening at the same time

Team Sonic are fighting in the black comet

Silver and the boys are looking for the trucks

Shadow

Gun fortress

In the fortress, shadow walks through a section filled with Despara's Wish. The pink cloud is everywhere. It's hard to see. Shadow follows the directions of the map Cal gave him. He see's bodies of the GUN Soldiers. Not filled with bullets.

Shadow: "This gas, it's bad news for everyone else except my kind."

He notices a few black arms down the way. He notices and takes cover behind a wall. They all walk past.

Black arm soldier: "New orders. The emergency ventilation is not to be bothered. It not activated keeps the gas in this base. Expect enemy contact."

Shadow sends chaos blast at the unit and kills them. he goes and runs his way through the gassed up fortress. He feels something on his arm. A glow. He feels something familiar. Something he met.

Shadow: "I don't know who this is listening. But I'm coming for you. it's not too late to stop this."

He skates through the loud fortress. Loud noises can be heard. He grinds on a cable car line that transports through security traps so he doesn't get electrocuted. He hops off and runs around. More black arms, black oaks. Shadow uses the powers and skills he took and learned for the past few weeks and uses them to his advantage. He kills more soldiers standing in his way. He comes across a few GUN Soldiers and agents gasping for air. Their screams are quiet sounding. They all fall either passing out or dying from the gas. Shadow notices one.

GUN Soldier: "H-elp me…."

Shadow blankly looks at the guy in pity. He studies him. his skin is red. His face bloated. He's coughing up blood. Shadow pulls out his pistol and does the unthinkable.

Shadow: "Sorry."

He pulls the trigger putting the man out of his misery. He looks around and notices the gas making things worst.

Shadow: "Amy, you better have gotten out."

Cal

In the generator room, the Guardian Units of Nations barricade the door. The door the black arms are going to push in through. They get their guns ready. Cal is dressed in a dark black, blue and gray suit. He activates. Light brightens the blue part up. Electricity surges around him. His fist glow red.

GUN Soldier: "They're coming. Everyone fall in place."

Cal looks at the camera system from the laptop on the side.

Cal: "Alright. Shadow the hedgehog, hurry up so we can get out of here."

On the other side of the door Black oaks try smashing their way in. Loud banging on the door can be heard. Cal gets ready and talks to himself. A few soldiers look and over hear him. knowing his stories and what he did to earn his name as the oak killer. A lot of men draw their guns for the door. The banging can be heard. They are trying their absolute best to get to through. Cal talks to himself.

Cal: "As the guardians units of the nations. We protect to serve our people. The GUN is to protect. The gun is our sword, our shield, or defenders. We are the way of the bang. The gun is the united parts that built to something fearsome. Something that is used to fire. There are many weapons like us. We stand together using our bodies and souls to fire the bullets. We are not afraid to use it. We will bring the flash that goes bang. The flash of light that will deliver hope. The bullet will go for the future. The future is not our enemy but our choices. Mankind has always been known for its natural ways. Maybe that's why the GUN was made for a reason. To protect and defend ourselves from tyranny. So here we are together we stand. We are the GUN."

Shadow

Shadow: "Section 5. It should be in this area."

He runs through taking out enemy and helping those that have gas mask on. he finds his way to the ventilation and finds someone guarding it. A black oak with saber axes. An idea. He spikes up his arm and charges with his chaos energy. He runs out towards it and the oak gets ready.

Shadow: "Ahhhhhhhhhhhh!"

He charges him and punches a whole through him. It breaks him down and he drops his axes. Shadow lets go and he collapses.

Shadow: "This place should be it."

He walks through the thick pink fog. It's everywhere. Eating away anything that's not black arm.

Shadow: *Grunts* "Dammit. It's hard to see around this cloud."

He walks around through the fog and finds a door. He opens it and finds a pipeline area. He hurries down. He feels the air currents.

Shadow: "I'm getting close."

He hears a large sound. Sounds of air waves. He turns the corner and figures out what it is.

Shadow: "Found it."

He walks towards the controls.

Shadow: "He said the emergency lever could make the whole base air out. Those who are trapped in certain area's can escape and that gas in the upper level from where I came from will clear out."

He reaches for it and gets a major headache. He stumbles back and falls to the ground.

Shadow: *screaming*

Gloom: "Hey. Anyone there?"

His arm hurts too. He recognizes that voice.

Shadow: "What are you doing?"

?: "Yes."

Gloom: "Never mind what I'm doing. Is the job almost done?"

?: "Almost there."

Shadow: "Why? Where are you right now?"

Gloom: "Nowhere you wouldn't be. Hey buddy, get to the presidential palace when you're done. My mission is almost complete."

?: "Understood."

Shadow: "What?"

Gloom: "Hey, if you get out of the fortress alive shadow come find me. There's always room for one more."

He leaves his head. The connection between the three leaves. Everything is smooth and swell again. The pain is gone. He stands up a bit hurt from the pain and is able to control himself. He reaches for the lever and pulls it. the air ducts are changing. the ventilation is louder than ever. Gas can be seen flowing through the pipes. The gas in the area shadow is in can be seen flowing everywhere and down.

Shadow: "Now to get out of here and get back to Cal."

Shadow hurries out and out in section 5. The place can be seen clearing out bit by bit. Everything is visible. GUN Agents and soldiers can breathe again but they keep their gas mask on just in case. They walk out and Black arms come to investigate. Shadow walks out.

Black arms: "It's him! Blast him!"

They all fire at shadow. He teleports away. He uses his skills and makes it to the third balcony they're shooting from. He makes it up there. He dodges their bullets and uses his combat skills to take them out. Another group comes for him and uses his pistol to take them down. He charges in fast using his pistol skills at a degree taking out five of them. He goes back to the balcony and notices a few GUN Soldiers and agents pinned down. He jumps down and sneaks from behind. He teleports and using his skills to knock them out.

Shadow: "It's clear. You all can stand out now."

They all stand out in gas mask. A few hesitate to take them off but they do. They breath in the fresh air flowing in but can still smell and feel the stinging of the gas around them just a bit.

GUN Soldier: "Thanks. That gas was a real killer."

Shadow: "Get out here. Abandon the base. It's not safe here."

GUN Soldier: "Don't have to tell us twice. C'mon guys get to the escape hatches!"

They run off while other GUN Soldiers and agents follow along from hiding.

Shadow: "Lets get back to Cal."

He hurries back to the generator room. He follows back the way he came only this time more visible. He notices the security ziplines and decides to air grind his way up. he hops on a pole facing upwards with his shoes attached and grind his way up. He parkours his way on a ledge and boost his way to the generator. He makes it to the door. He knocks but no answer.

Shadow: "Hey, someone open up!"

A bang happens at the door. A large metal imprint comes from the other side. Shadow gets the idea and chaos blast the door. It blows in. Shadow runs in and finds Cal fighting black arms. a few GUN Soldiers left are fighting off the black arms. Gunshots flying everywhere. Shadow joins the fight. He teleports and chaos spears one. Cal Charges after the black arm and punches him. he uses his fighting skills to use his electric gloves to tase and electrocute his enemies. Shadow teleports and fights off 2 black arms. he grabs a shotgun. He blast 2 to 4 enemies like he was made for the shootout. He drops the gun and looks around him. Cal and 5 GUN Agents alive.

Shadow: "The ventilation is on. it should spread out through the fortress."

Cal: "Good. That should give almost everyone a chance to get out."

Cameras

The place is clearing up. a lot of people are exiting areas they were surrounded by gas. People exit and run. Some try to escape black arm forces. The Gunfire continues through the fortress. The power and electricity are surging. Some places are on fire. The building collapsing at the same time. a lot of people and soldiers scrambling. Havoc has spread through the base. Even if there's a base anymore.

Shadow

He looks around. He helps up a few people.

Shadow: "I gotta go. Get out of here Guys. The presidential palace is under-"

His arm starts glowing. A serge of nerves run through him. he feels something coming. Something not Gloom nor him. he turns around and the mark stops. He sees something the others can't see. A dark phase can be seen heading towards them through the door they burst through. The figure walks through. About the same height as Shadow. He stands there in a suit. His head covered with a tactical helmet. His expression, undefined. He stares at the area around him. Shadow looks at him.

Shadow: …

Cal: "Who the hell are you supposed to be?"

The mystery stands there. He focus his attention on the suit Cal is wearing. He gets ready. A few GUN Soldiers grab whatever gun is on the floor left. He looks up and see's the generator.

?: …

Shadow: "Is it really you?"

?: …

He unsheathes the blitz. Shadow and Cal recognize the blade from the Ark. Its shape and look. Electricity flows around it.

Shadow: "What did you do to Sonic?"

?: "Nothing."

Cal: "I don't care who you are or how you got holds onto the hedgehogs sword. You're dead."

He rushes for him.

Shadow: "Wait, he's not what you think-"

He pulls out the green emerald.

?: "Chaos control."

Time stops. He walks forward for the frozen oak killer. He slashes his muscles. Weaking him. He uses the electricity from the blade to overload his suit. It electrifies him all around. He doesn't feel any of it yet but when time stops, he's going to get a surprise. He walks past him and looks at the black and red hedgehog. He walks up to the red and black hedgehog his partner talked so much about. He lstares blankly at him.

?: "You defeated lord doom."

Shadow: "Yes."

The mystery gets shocked from hearing it. Shadow punshes him right in the face and he gets sent back sliding.

?: "How are you not effected?"

Shadow pulls out the red emerald.

Shadow: "Chaos Control."

Time resumes. The world comes back for the two of them. Cal gets the shocking feeling and everything that the mystery has done to him.

Cal: *Screams*

He falls to the ground. He can't move. His main muscles are cut. He's twitching on the floor. His suit starts to set a blaze. Fire scorches his back.

Shadow: "Shit."

He runs over to him. He uses the power of the emerald to help him. he puts out the fire and tries to take off the suit. He feels the shock but can't.

Shadow: "Dammit."

?: …

The mystery walks over to him. He uses Blitz to handle the electricity. He puts the sword down so the Current cant flow through the blade to take it. He pulls off his suit and he stops twitching but he's still in a severe amount of pain. He stands up and walks towards the generator. The three GUN soldiers there stand back and watch the mystery. He uses blitz and decides to finish the mission he was given until Shadow steps in.

Shadow: "I won't let you."

The GUN Soldiers run for Cal and grab him. They Help him up by the shoulders.

Shadow: "Get him out of here. I'll handle this."

The Gun Agents move him. Cal moans and tries to stand while they help him.

Cal: "Give em hell."

They move towards the way shadow went. To the escape hatches around section 5. He gets on his earpiece and broadcast to all frequencies of GUN HQ.

Cal: "Attention all on this channel. This is Captain Cal Simmons. Our defense network has been compromised. All hands prep for evac. Abandon the base, I say again Abandon the base."

Gloom

He's at the battlefield. The Base is being taken. He stands near a group of dead GUN Soldiers he killed himself and take off one of their helmets. He listens close on the frequencies and someone comes on.

Abraham: "All units. We require immediate assistance at the testing grounds. We have the president."

He crushes the helmet and tosses it aside. He walks towards the training fields near the Testing Labs.

Gloom: "He's there. Remember, bring him in alive. Piece of cake."

He walks towards the building where they test their greatest weapons. While he walks towards the place a ship comes in flying by.

Team Sonic

Tails, Knuckles, and Vector are lying on a few mats. Sally tends to them bandaging them up from their previous battle on the black comet.

Sally: "I hope Sonics okay."

Tails: "Thanks Sally."

Knuckles: "Who's flying the Ship, how did you get the ship?"

Sally: "A black arm helped us. She managed to get us on and help us take off. Espio's flying right now."

Vector: "Good to know, so where are we going?"

Sally: "To GUN HQ."

Espio: "Guys, I think we're be too late."

Sally stands up and limps towards one of the windows.

Sally: "Oh no…"

The base is on fire they fly around blending in without anyone bothering them. Units of black arms and GUN are out there fighting each other. They have the GUN Falling back. A lot of them head to the training fields at the testing labs. Espio turns on the frequencies of the GUN Channel on the radio and sally pulls out Nicole and overhears it all.

Cal: "Attention all on this channel. This is Captain Cal Simmons. Our defense network has been compromised. All hands prep for evac. Abandon the base, I say again Abandon the base."

Sally: "Dammit. We were too late."

Tails: "So what's going on."

Espio: "The base is under attack."

Knuckles: "Well lets get out there and help them."

Frequencies on the channel start colliding. Commander Abraham comes on.

Abraham: "All units. We require immediate assistance at the testing grounds. We have the president."

Sally: "Lets go help them."

Espio: "Roger."

They fly towards the testing field and Tails comes in.

Tails: "Where are we heading now?"

Sally: "New plan. We're gonna help the president."

They fly in and notice someone walking there.

Sally: "Who is that?"

They fly closer and closer.

Espio: "Wait a second…"

Tails: "Is that?"

They get a good look of him. He looks back to see the ship closing in and past him.

Tails: "THAT WAS HIM!"

Sally: "And he's heading to the same direction as we are!"

Espio: "Hold on."

They fly towards the training fields.

Shadow

Shadow and the mystery stand face to face. He scans the man in armor, holding the blade of his rival, Sonic's.

Shadow: "Is he alive."

?: "Yes."

Shadow: "So where is he?"

?: "He has a mission to capture the president alive. He's at the presidential palace at this moment."

Shadow: "Of course. In guess I have no choice but to take you down."

?: "We don't have to fight."

Shadow: "You're right. We don't."

He teleports behind him.

Shadow: "But we don't have to listen to him."

The mystery back jump kicks but shadow blocks it. Shadow grabs him by the legs and sends him flying for the generator. He smashes into it and feels 4000 volts running through him. The machine overloads and blows up smoke shutting down. The place lights go off and it's pitch black. The back up lights come on and the mystery falls down. He picks himself up and notices Shadow is gone. He disappeared. He pulls Blitz out and looks around. He can't see him but he knows he's still here. A chaos spear is sent for him but he dodges it. He runs around and sends a electric slash for the direction it came from. He keeps his awareness up. he scans everything. No sign of movement. A dark figure comes from the corner and stands behind him. the mystery senses him there and slashes whatever is behind him. nothing but the air. A punch hits him from the side and a kick to the leg unbalancing him. He stands up slashing, punching, kicking everything around him but nothing. He gets hit with a chaos blast that knocks him off a bit. He decides to unleash Blitz true power. He pulls out the chaos emerald. He channels the energy of the emerald to him he charges his blade. The electricity is starting to make it glow a little. He raises it in the air and a surge lining of lightning starts to expand across the area. Everything starts glowing blue. Shadow can now be seen. He decides to let loose. The lightning blows across the area making an earthquake. Feels like a storm is brewing. A hurricane with no water.

Shadow: "He's stronger than I thought."

His arm starts glowing and he decides on instinct to teleport. He grabs the handle of the blade, the mystery tries to fight for it. they both tug as the electricity in the room still grows rapidly. They fight and tug for it like children when it's their turn for something. The emeralds start to glow and grow powerful around them. The emeralds shadow has emerge from him. Red, Blue, and white emeralds float in the air away from Shadow. The green emerald does the same thing away from the mystery. The two can feel the energy and power. The mystery starts to breath heavily from the inside, never feeling this amount of pressure before.

?: *Moaning*

Shadow: "You feel that too?"

The electricity from the sword Explodes. It blows a whole through Gun fortress from above. It falls down landing standing up. the two are separated lying on the ground. Two emeralds fall to the black arms. Shadow gets up and notices the green and blue emerald. the mystery Picks up the red and white emeralds. Shadow stands. The black aurora surrounds him. his eyes turn hazy yellow again. his teeth Venomous. His conscience is still intact.

Shadow: "Stand down now, I can help you."

?: …

Two dark pin print pupils fire up from inside the mystery's helmet. The dark aurora grows around him as well. He doesn't understand this feeling but something is telling him to defeat him. He crouches and leans forward. He touches the ground and a burst of energy surrounds him. His stance is like a track runner ready to run a relay. In a flash, he charges Shadow. He grabs the sword along the way and impales him. He charges through the walls with him leaving the generator room.

Shadow: "Agh!"

He holds on to the sword will he does it. he uses his immense strength that he has and holds his ground at a different area. He blasted through a lot of walls of the GUN Fortress and now at a large cargo area. The mystery has speed comparable to sonics.

Shadow: "This guy is fast. Fast as sonics most likely."

Shadow teleports and sends chaos spears for him. a few black arms over see the fight.

Black arm: "Isn't that?"

Black arm: "It is. And he's fighting the new guy."

The mystery swift dashes cutting across Shadow's chest. Shadow teleports where the mystery stops and grabs him by the shoulder. He slams him in the ground. He tries to curb stomp him but he rolls. He rolls back and windmills on the ground tripping him. he stands and side flips trying to hit shadow. He teleports away. Shadow starts glowing red a bit and chaos blast. He charges for him and grabs him by the neck. He slams him through the walls like he did running the Fortress. They turn up into a meeting lounge that's empty. They fight across the table. The black hedgehog kicks him into a chair sitting down. He pushes away from the table and grabs a stapler. Shadow runs for him and decides to use his stronger arm. It glows and it smashes the wall missing the man in black. He staples his for head.

Shadow: "OW!"

He staples his leg, arm, and body.

Shadow: "Ow! YOU SON OF A BITCH!"

He punches him through the wall and now they're outside on the battle field. Shadow picks all the staples out of him and walks outside.

Shadow: "You're better than this. I know you are."

He picks the last one out and tosses it away. The mystery grabs blitz out and decides to do what he was ordered. Head to the White house.

He charges up and shadow knows. they blast off away from GUN HQ. The base is under fire. The fight is getting worst and worst. They run out towards central city. A race for the white house. Shadow is on the mystery's tail.

Shadow: "What's under the helmet. What are you hiding?"

The mystery send Lightning bolts from Blitz to him. He dodges it and the mystery picks up the pace. he runs like hell depends on it.

Shadow: "Where are you going? Tell me!"

?: "Presidential palace!"

He runs ahead through the ruin city. He gets the idea.

Shadow: "Shit, the president."

He runs for him. He runs trying to catch up to him but he parkours and free runs a lot better than sonic. He uses the emeralds power and it gives him a boosts like sonics.

Shadow: "How the hell is so fast? But not just fast but better at it?"

He swings upon edge and grinds upon the powerline while shadow catches up using is air shoes. He skates hurrying past the explosions, laser fire from the army of black arms and bullets from GUN Soldiers. The street blows up with a wall of fire and the mystery jumps over it bouncing over a car. Shadow runs through the wall of fire. He turns into an apartment complex and shadow follows his trail. The mystery has backup in. A black oak stands in his way as his master runs through the apartment complexes. Shadow teleports above him and sends a spike right through the Oaks head. He follows the mystery to the direction he went up the flight of stairs. He turns and find the mystery running out towards the street. He follows the balcony path that leads to the parking lot and runs out to a gas station. The mystery manages to grab a couple grenades and drops them on the ground in the middle of the parking lot. Shadow comes up and notices them.

Shadow: "Shit! Chaos-"

An explosion happens with shadow in the middle of it. The mystery takes cover in a ditch and the flames fly past above him. a giant mushroom cloud happens. The mystery stands up and looks back. he gets up dusting the dirt and mud off him and looks at the fire. He stairs at the fire to see nothing, thinking He's dead.

?: "…S-sorry."

He looks ahead to see nothing until a few spikes come out and impale him in the harm and left chest. Shadow comes out from the blaze. A green shield protected him. the chaos emerald.

Shadow: "Gotta try harder than that."

The mystery backs away and continues running away. Shadow follows him. He comes towards a mall that on fire. People are in there looting and stealing whatever they can. The mystery burst through the glass doors. He runs towards the escalators and grinds down them. Shadow is in hot pursuit. He follows the path he was taking. The mystery runs for a balcony that leads down near a skateshop. The kids were looting it and taking whatever that was left and the mystery grabs one off the teenager along while passing by them.

Kid: "HEY! THAT'S MINE!"

He ignores him and starts riding. He ollies on an escalator and grinds upon the rails. He goes down and inward heelflips off. Shadow still chases after him. He goes down the escalator fast. The mystery skates towards an elevator and hops on. he drops the skateboard and leaves it there.

Shadow: "Don't underestimate me."

Shadow looks at the Balcony's above and notices chandeliers. He hops above and parkours his way up. he swings upon the ropes holding them up. He jumps high towards the other balcony's and making his way up a set of stairs trying to catch up to him. he uses the best routes heading up. He makes it up the elevator and it's still going.

Elevator

?: "He's persistent. Never been hunted like this ever since-"

He stops right there remembering his past but lets it go.

?: "He was right. We're almost exactly alike."

The elevator to the number he pressed is about to reach it's destination.

?: "That blue hedgehogs sword comes in handy."

The elevator stops and the doors open.

Shadow: "Hey."

?: "Hi."

He presses the highest number and Shadow gets in the elevator. He stands in front of the mystery.

Shadow: "You're fast. Did Gloom train you?"

?: "He taught me a few tricks."

Shadow: "I see you know how to use chaos control."

?: "That power. These emeralds. Where do they come from?"

Shadow: "Hard to say. But they serve a master. All seven of them."

?: "So what happens if all seven were to be together?"

Shadow: "The greatest feeling that I can't even describe. A miracle happens."

?: "No wonder he wants to collect them all so bad."

Shadow: "The other two, give them to me."

?: "Im afraid that I can't do that."

Shadow: "Knew you'd say that."

The elevator numbers are almost starting to reach the highest point. The top floor but not the roof.

?: "Seems we are almost at our destination."

Shadow: "Are you still gonna run?"

?: "I was given orders to head to the presidential palace."

Shadow: "What do you need from the president?"

?: "I don't know. I was never told that plan."

Shadow: "Hmph. So why not take off the mask?"

?: "I'd rather not."

Shadow: "I deserve to know who you are. Who are you?"

?: "I… don't know."

Shadow: "Oh. I think I have good guess."

The elevator stops. It opens to an area. A few stores are around. The mystery decides to do something he wouldn't expect. He looks up to see the hatch of the elevator. He jumps up breaking the hatch fast. He notices the cable exterior and powerlines connecting it. Shadow looks up to see what he's doing. He unsheathes blitz.

Shadow: "You wouldn't dare?"

He cuts the elevator lines and it begins to fall. The mystery hops on the cut line of the elevator and goes up. He hops off and onto a metal bar near a vent. He looks up to see the counter lines falling and machine parts of the elevator. The elevator falls down. A long way down. He hops onto the vent and breaks it.

?: "Gotta keep moving."

He crawls through the vents he follows a path that goes up. He uses his skills to climb up and go out the vent that leads to the roof. He makes it and is on top. He looks around and notices. He gets a contact in his head.

Gloom: "Hey. You almost there?"

?: "No. Not yet but im on my way there."

Gloom: "What's going on?"

?: "I was dealing with Shadow. He was really persistent."

Shadow: "I'm still here."

He sounded so close. The mystery looks behind him and notices the glass roofing and him standing there.

Shadow: "Got off the elevator before it started falling."

?: …

Gloom: "Hey. Can you hear me too?"

Shadow: "Yes. I'm not gonna let you kill the president."

Gloom: "Who said anything about killing him?"

Shadow: "Kill or capture. Not on my watch."

Gloom: "Well you make shitty promises because I'm about to go face him and this big robot. Destroying everything. Oh and you're buddies put up one heck of a fight trying to face me."

Shadow: *Grunts*

Gloom: "Hey Terios?"

?: "Yes."

Shadow: "Terios?"

Gloom: "Kill him."

Terios: "Understood."

Gloom leaves both of their heads.

Shadow: "You don't have to do this."

Terios: "I'm sorry."

He throws a combat knife towards Shadow. He catches it. The mystery named Terios in a flash comes in. He grabs shadows hand and stabs him in the lag.

Shadow: "Ah!"

He tries to punch him but he disappears.

Shadow: "He's fast."

He runs behind him and kicks him in the back. He disappears again. he's so fast. He attacks him from all directions. Shadow can't even see him.

Shadow: "Alright pal you asked for it. Chaos Control!"

Time slows down. The mystery is slow coming in for a punch. He walks past him and roundhouse kicks him in the head. (Remind you of something)

The mystery falls to the ground with a cracked helmet. the mystery notices it. He looks back to see him and decides to charge for him. He runs and disappears appearing behind Shadow.

Shadow: "fool."

He teleports before he could he could land an attack. Shadow appears behind him and grabs him by the leg while the mystery is in the air. he slams him on the ground back and forth. He spins with him and tosses him near the edge hitting the curb of it.

Shadow: …

He stands up with a cracked helmet. the glass of it falls apart. You can see his eye. They look hazy yellow with a green turning darker. His check of yellowness can be shown. His hair showing a bit. he looks a bit mad and evil looking the way it is shown.

Shadow: "You look handsome."

Terios: …

He looks over the edge to see a few black wings flying in. He looks back at shadow and takes a leap of faith. Shadow runs to the edge to see Terios on a black wing. He flies off towards the direction of the white house controlling it. Shadow gets the same idea and jumps down latching on a black wing. He flies off towards him. he follows him until suddenly the sky starts to get bright. brighter and brighter.

Shadow: "What the-"

Beams of light fall from the sky. The Hellstorm. Silver and the others completed their mission. The beams across the city fall from the sky striking down squads and enemies.

Shadow: "About time they used it. Why didn't they use it earlier?"

The beaming lights fall from the sky. Shadow and the mystery person in front of him are trying their best to not be vaporized. The grounds and everything including the buildings are being carved. With Gun's greatest weapons name on it. They fly through the ruin city heading towards the white house. The mystery takes different routes trying to shake off Shadow. He flies through and past the tall buildings. They make their way through central park. A statue of the city founders is still standing but a few chunks of it have fallen off. They fly past it and go through a road that was being held for construction. The mystery tries to outsmart Shadow by heading into a hellstorm beam that stops for the mystery to past. Shadow gets the idea of what he's trying to do and decides to go around it to avoid the beam from space blasting him. He catches up to Terios and the presidential palace is in sight. Shadow gets closer and closer and decides to hop off and attack Terios. They fight for control over the black wing. Terios lets go and the black wing starts spinning. They flip and fall off. Towards the white house grounds as the black wing crashes into something else. Shadow and Terios land separately like 15 feet away from each other. Shadow lands in a big fountain of water while Terios lands into the trees and bushes.

Shadow's conscience: "It's him. It really is him. Docter Gerald Robotniks failed experiment. He's different from Me and Gloom."

The mystery walks from the trees and bushes he landed in and is at the front of the palace. Black arms are moving stuff, taking prisoners, and guarding. A few outside notice the two fall. They see Terios walk. Some run over and help him but he looks at them with a death glare. They stand down and walk away as he limps for the place. Shadow comes from above the water in the fountain and looks around. He notice Terios and Shadow steps out.

Black arm warrior: "It's him."

Black oak: "So he's the one?"

Black arm warrior 2: "Pictured him much taller."

Whispers and chants go around. They all look at the two. It's like a gift. No one has ever seen Terios face beside from Gloom one time. And everyone sees the ultimate lifeform that defeated Black Doom.

Inside White House

Amy sits with rouge. They both watch the tv and talk about stuff that happen in the past. Amy looks at the doctor sitting at the bar.

Amy: "I'll be right back."

Rouge: "Okay. Try not to get into trouble."

Amy: "Yeah, sure… Whatever."

She stands up and walks to the mustache menace drinking and reading a book one of the black arm guards gave to him from the presidents office. She puts her hand on top of his book and lowers it so he can get a good look at her.

Dr. Eggman: "Just for the record, it was not my plan."

Amy: "How could you do this? I mean knowing how low you would go for world domination, you would betray your own people?"

Dr. Eggman: "Meh, they wanted my expertise. I assure you little lady, I had no intention for this."

Amy: "Yet you're helping them."

Dr. Eggman: "Yes I am. and for the record I was forced to."

Amy: "Somehow, I feel that you're enjoying this. what's your slice of the pie?"

Dr. Eggman: "Hehe. That's a real good question. I have no idea but it's good. So, so good."

People and black arms rush to the windows. A loud commotion is happening all over the place.

Rouge: "Amy, you might want to come take a look at this!"

Amy scurries over as Eggman closes his book and drink the last of his drink. Amy goes out to the window and see's Shadow the Hedgehog about to face of with someone.

Amy: "SHADOW!"

She runs off past the black arms. The Doctor follows her walking with his hands behind his back. Rouge hurries limping with a crutch to see closer. She burst through the doors and looks from some stairs.

Amy: "Shadow!"

Shadow looks to see Amy alright."

Shadow: "hm…"

Terios looks towards the direction and sees the Pink Hedgehog, standing before them.

Terios: "It's her. she's… Beautiful."

The mad doctor emerges from the door and gets a good look.

Shadow: "Of course you're in on this."

Eggman: "Hmmm? It seems that the two are finally united."

Amy: "What do you mean by that?"

Eggman: "Just watch and observe."

Shadow looks back at Terios.

Shadow: "Hey, You!"

Terios: "Hm?"

Shadow: "Please, I beg you. take off that helmet. Please? I want to finally see your face. I want to know what the doctor's been hiding this entire time. Show me."

Terios looks surprised. He looks down to the ground and looks back at Shadow. He looks at amy and back to Shadow. It's like a cowboy showdown. The two face each other. The mystery contemplates in his head whether he should or not. He remembers not to take it off but it's no use now. The supposedly new leader is his superior, if he actually is depending on Gloom but. Second in command is second in command. He doesn't just do it because he is told to do it. he does it because he knows what shadow is to him. his heart races for a moment as he reaches for his cracked helmet. Shadow's eyes open wide as they can be. He closes his eyes and slowly takes it off. Some hair falls back along with some quills. He thinks about when he first saw his reflection for the first time and thinks to himself. "Who Am I." he lets that thought go. He removes the helmet. Shadow breathes in hard and exhales slowly. Every black arm in site is shocked. They drop everything. Their guns and weapons. They don't care about anything else except this very moment.

Amy: "What's going on… *gasps*"

Eggman: "I had a feeling, but it's all so clear now. Grandfather you mad genius, you are."

Rouge: "Whoa…"

Shadow crouches down and stands up he walks back and forth rubbing his face. he's used to it at this point. Seeing reflections of himself is nothing new to him, but this moment is like something he has never felt before. He remembers the day when Gloom came into the picture. It was a feeling of readiness. He was afraid when Gloom would come back. Now, he's mixed with a whole bunch of feelings he doesn't know how to let out. He stands back before him and looks a Terios.

Shadow: "Brother."
