Act 1: Chapter 2: Where are we?
Slam
"HOW IN GIRATINA NAME DID YOU LOSE THEM!?" A furious Tony shouted at the four friends and slammed his fist on the table.
"W-we don't know, when we got back with some snacks, they weren't there!" Arthur explained.
When the four got back to their spot, they found that Talisman and Glaceon were not there. Thinking that they just went to have a look around they waited and waited and waited. The friends were now starting to get worried and went looking for them. Becky got out her Talonflame to go look for them from above. They looked everywhere for the two asking anyone it they had seen them, they would say no or sorry they haven't seen them. Pearl tried calling him on her phone but got no answer, they continue their search for their missing friend. Talonflame had no luck finding them. Not knowing what to do the four headed to his house to tell his dad that Talisman and Glaceon were missing. And here they were in the living room staring at a furious Tony who was giving the four a cold glare.
"You were supposed to keep an eye on him!" He angrily shouted at the four.
Michael who had his arms crossed spoke. "Look I get that-" But was cut off by Tony. "I told you from the very beginning that him going was a bad idea, you keep telling me that he'll be fine that he's got his pokemon and friends with him, and look what happened! I should have never let you talk me into letting him go!" He said angrily with a glare.
"Okay I get it you're worried and pissed, we all are, but taking it out on them ain't going to solve anything, you need to calm down."
"Calm down! Talisman and Glaceon are missing because of them and you want me to FUCKING CALM DOWN!" He shouted pointing at the four.
"Wait what! How is this our fault?!" shouted Ethan.
"Let's see, the fact that you all took your eye's off my son and him going missing makes it your fault!"
"So just because we went to get some snacks make's it our fault! And you know you haven't exactly been dad of the year with all these bull shit rules!" He said giving him a glare.
"What the fuck did you ju-"
"THAT'S ENOUGH BOTH OF YOU!" Michael shouted getting between the two before they do something they'll regret.
Just then they all heard a knock on the door Tony rushed to the front door hoping it was his son, he open the door to reveal a women who wore a white shirt with a tie and a light blue vest. On her wast was a black belt, she had a dark gray skirt with black seed through tights and black boots. On her head was a light blue and black hat and had white gloves. Her heir was a greenish blue color, her eyes were brown and she had red lipstick.
"You made a call about a missing person?" Said Officer Jenny.
"Yeah, please come in." He show her to the living room with the others. Once she entered the living room she saw four young people, two male and two female who looked to be eighteen or nineteen, all sitting on a sofa.
Behind them was an older man who was in his thirties, and the man who showed her in was standing right beside him.
She pulled out a pen and notepad to take their statement. "Now one of you called about someone going missing?"
"Yeah, my son Talisman was seeing the meteor shower with his friends." He explained.
"And I take it you five are his friends?" She turns her attention to the four friends and the older man.
"Oh no, I was here having some beer with Tony. These four were with him and told us what happened." said michael as she turn to the four friends.
"So you were all with Talisman at the time he went missing?" She said writing down the information on her notepad. "Can you tell me exactly what happened and the time he went missing."
"We all went to get some snacks while Talisman waited at our spot, when we got back it was about 8:46 when we found him gone, at first we thought he went to look around, but after waiting a while we started to get worried and went looking for him, but we never found him." Arthur said looking down, as she was writing down what he told her.
"Did he have any pokemon with him?" She asked.
"Oui, he has a Glaceon he keeps out of her pokeball, and an Absol and Goodra. Oh! I almost forgot Glaceon has a crystal snowflake collar with a blue sapphire on the center." Said Pearl.
"And a Goodra, Absol, and a Glaceon with a crystal snowflake collar with an sapphire on the center, and is always out of it's pokeball." She mumble to her herself.
"Does he have a phone with him?" She asked.
"He does, but they tried calling him but got nothing." Said Tony who was getting more and more worried for his son. "Officer Jenny, when are you going to start looking for my son?" He said in a worried tone.
Jenny saw the worried look on his face. This isn't the first time she dealt with an missing person and having to deal with parents worried for their kids going missing, for a number of reasons. She can have a search party out looking for him when she get's back to the station and even make some calls to get some pokemon rangers to join in the search, but she needed more information about his son. But first she needed to put his mind at ease.
"We can have a search party out looking for your son now, but i need more information on him. Like what's his wearing? Or is there anywhere he would go?"
Tony thought hard on where Talisman would go. The only place he knows is the old tree house him and Michael built when they were kids. When Tony and Michael got older and stopped going, they let Talisman and his friends use the old tree house.
The second and unlikely place he would go, is his mother's grave that he'll only visit on her birthday, that's the only places he knew.
"The only place I know is the old tree house not far from here, or his mom grave..." He said remembering the argument and the last thing he said to Talisman as he was hit hard by a wave of guilt. He felt like punching himself for what he said to him and losing his cool, he pinch the bridge of his nose. No, this was not the time to start beating himself up over what he said his son and Glaceon was missing, he needed to have a cool head he looked back to Jenny and spoke.
"And he was wearing a black t-shirt and jeans with a white jacket with two light blue stripes, black fingerless glove. His shoes are white blue and black, and he has a dark blue necklace that is shaped like a tear." He finished as she put away her pen and notepad.
"I think that's about everything, but there is something I need to help with the search..."
"Of course anything to help find my son." He said eager to help in anyway.
"I'll need something of your son and his pokemon for are Stoutland to pick up their scent."
"Yeah I'll go get one of his shirts and Glaceon's bed." He went up to Talisman's room, then later came back down with a green shirt and Glaceon's bed.
"Hears their things..." He handed them to her and she took them from him.
"Thank you, this will help us out a lot. And sir please rest assured that we'll do everything we can to find your son and his pokemon." She said determined. "We'll let you know if we find anything, good night." And with that she takes her leave. As they heard the door open and close, then a sound of a bike engine roaring to life and the sound slowly start's to fade. They all stood in silents which seemed like forever, until Becky broke the silents.
"Now what?" She asked turning to Michael.
"For now we should all head home and get some sleep and help out with the search first thing in the morning, you're fine with that Tony?" He asked his childhood friend.
"No..." He said coldly to them. "After what happened today you'll only making things worse. I think it's best that you all leave..."
Ethan was about to reply, but was stop by Michael, who had his hand on his shoulder and shook his head.
"Come on, it's best that we all leave..." They all began to leave, Ethan gave Tony a glare then left. Michael took a glance at his life long friend, then left.
As soon as he heard the front door shut, he fell on the sofa his mind on his son and Glaceon. "What, could have happened to them?" He said quietly to himself, he felt a pit form in his stomach, his mind going over the what if's.
what if someone took them? what if they went to look around and got lost? what if they got attacked by a wild pokemon? what if they were hurt somewhere and his phone was broken or out of power? what if, what if, they were dead...? An image of Talisman and Glaceon lying dead on the ground their eye's lifeless. His blood runs cold and his stomach turning like he was going to be sick just by the thought of it.
Getting up from the sofa, he went to grab the photo frame of him, Emerald and a younger Talisman and Eevee, as he sat back down on the sofa and stared at the phone.
When he lost his wife Emerald, he made a promise to himself that he'll do whatever it took to keep his son safe, he thought maybe letting him go out late at night to see the meteor shower with his friends wouldn't hurt. And look what happened, his son missing. When they find him and Glaceon he's going to make some serious changes to the rules. He knows that Talisman is going to hate these new rules, but he's gonna do what's best for him and to keep his son safe.
Just outside, Ethan was fuming as he kicked the tire of his truck to vent his anger. Becky went to calm her hotheaded friend down. Pearl try's to call Talisman's phone again hoping this time he'll pick up, only to get no answer again and sigh in defeat as she put's her phone away. And Arthur seems to have his mind on something.
"Damn it!" Ethan yelled giving the tire one last hard kick.
"Who the fuck does he think he is?! Telling us we can't go looking for him, whats next he's gonna tell us we're not allowed to be his friend anymore!" He raised both hands up in the air in frustration.
"This is all my fault..." They all turned to Arthur who was looking down at the ground.
"It's my fault that Talisman and Glaceon are missing! If I had one of us stay behind none of this would have happened." He said not taking his eye's off the ground.
"This isn't anyone's fault."Michael steps in, the four friends turning to him completely forgetting that he was hear. "No one could have known something like this would happen, so don't go blaming yourself for this. And as for Tony don't let what he said get you down, he's just worried about Talisman like all of us. Maybe tomorrow he'll have a clearer head." He said to Arthur and his friends.
"So I take it you're still going to look for him?"
"Of course we're gonna still look for him! We all made a promise to watch out for each other and we're not going to let Tony stop us. Said Ethan.
Hearing this got Arthur to snap back to reality and remembering the promise they all made. He's our best friend and he's missing, and blaming himself won't fix anything. "That's right, we look out for each other no matter what."
"Oui we won't rest until we find him!"
"Yeah even if it mean's going to the Distortion World."
The four friends had determined looks on their faces, eager to find their missing friend. Michael could only smile at the four.
"Well I can tell you that Talisman is lucky to have good friends like you."
They couldn't help but smile at that, but Arthur seems to have his mind on something.
"There's something that's been bugging me for a while..." All eye's were now on Arthur.
"What could of happened to Talisman?" He said to his friends. They all started to wonder the same question as well. Where was he? Was the question on everyone's mind, unaware that him and his pokemon are in a different world.
Eostia -forest-
The sun shone high up in the sky and illuminated the land with it's bright shine. Below was a forest, the leaves blocking the sun's glare, some rays of sunlight were shining down through gaps in the leaves onto the grass and an unconscious young trainer and the fresh snow pokemon.
Glaceon's ears twitched, upon hearing the sound of chirping and she starts to regain her consciousness. The ice type pokemon slowly opened her eye's, and then her eye's shot wide open remembering what happened. The first thing on her mind was Talisman, she jumped to her paws and finds him lying on the ground beside her.
"Glac!" She cried out as she ran to him and started to nudge him with her paws.
"Gla glace glaceon!" She cried out with a worrying look on her face, she keeps at it into she hear's a groan from him as he starts to regain consciousness.
Sighing in relief she jumps onto his chest, he open's his eye's and was staring at his pokemon.
"Glaceon?" He muttered getting up as she jumped off him. He places a hand on his head still half out of it and trying to remember what happened.
He and Glaceon saw a light in the woods and went to go check it out and found this sphere, and then... His eye's go wide as he jumps to his feet remembering what happen.
That sphere made a humming sound, and then it turn into a portal sucking them in and waking up , wherever they were...
He looked around his surroundings, they were in the wood but not the one in Kalos, wait Kalos.
"Oh shit! Dad, everyone!" He exclaimed startling the ice type pokemon who turned to her partner who was pacing. There was no doubt that dad was out turning the whole of Kalos inside out looking for him and Glaceon, and the others are probably wondering where they were and are worried sick. He couldn't help but feel bad for just going without telling them, or leaving a note saying that him and Glaceon went to the woods.
The young trainer got out his phone deciding to call dad first knowing he was going to get an ear full from him, and then he'll call his friends next.
Once he dialed his dads number, he was expecting to hear a furious or worried dad, but was instead met with a beeping sound he look at his phone and saw no signal.
Glaceon watched as he puts his phone away and let's out a frustrated sigh. "I got no signal..." He places a hand on the back of his head. "Man we really got ourself in a big mess huh." He said to the ice type pokemon who cried out in agreement.
"Well, we should probably get out of here and find a town or city. There's just one thing, which way do we go?"
The two observe their surroundings. Trees, no matter where they look there are only a endless sea of trees. He looked up to the sky that was blocked by the leaves, how he wishes he had a flying type pokemon, he could use one to find and show them a way out of this forest.
He could have caught one in Kalos, it's just didn't come to his mind with him being busy with the ice sculpting, or trying to figure out how to leave without his dad getting suspicious, for when his ready to go on his own journey, and him training his pokemon.
He decided that standing around won't solve anything, he's just going to have to take a chance, so he decided to head to the direction they were faceing he turned to his partner pokemon.
"Alright, I guess we go that way." And so the two started to head out to find their way out of this forest.
They have been walking for about two hours now, in this endless maze of trees it felt like no matter how far they go all they seem to find is nothing but trees, trees, oh and more trees and did I mention about that tree over there he thought sarcastically. He began to think that going this way was not such a good idea.
His feet started to feel tired and Glaceon started to feel the same as well, but still they continued on.
While they were walking, Talisman was deep in his own world of thoughts.
What region did that portal take them to? Unova,Kanto, Johto, Sinnoh, Hoenn, Alola, Galar, or a region he never heard of? As more and more question were racing into his mind, and once they do find a pokemon center and find out where they were and let everyone know that they were alright what next? He wonder to himself.
But... There was a part of him that was actually excited, it was like he was on a pokemon journey of his own, he felt so free he hadn't felt like this since he went to Frost cavern. That feeling of going to new places you never been before and experiencing new things, meeting new people and pokemon, and battling all sorts of strong pokemon trainers.
He couldn't help but smile at the fond memories of him and Eevee traveling to Frost cavern and meeting Absol and Sliggoo.
An idea suddenly hits the trainer as if he was struck by thunder. They were somewhere in what ever region they were at, which means he could just go on his journey and there'll be no dad to stop him.
Now there was just one problem.
Money, he didn't have much on him and all his savings was back at home. He could never have asked his friends if he could borrow some from them.
Plus he also couldn't ask them to get his savings and send it to him in case dad caught them and they get in trouble because of him.
Maybe he can get some money from battling, him and his team could enter a tournament, there's been quite a lot of different tournaments all over in different regions from what he heard from Pearl.
Not just battling but things like rhyhorn racing, the pokemon water race called Tour de Alto Mare he think's that's what they call it in Alto Mare, Vikavolt racing has gotten popular.
Pearl even told him that the pokemon showcase has been getting a lot of trainers from all over different regions, participating in the pokemon showcase trying to have a shot at winning and being crowned the kalos queen. Heck even the pokemon contest has been getting more attention as well.
Back to the idea of making some money, this will also be a goo-
"Glace gla!" His thought's were interrupted by Glaceon who let out a cry, and what he saw was a dirt road and a sign.
"Oh thank Arceus a road and a sign as well!" He cried out in relief, that they had found a way out of this forest.
As they both appoached the sign they saw that the sign said Lana village, and an arrow pointing to the direction of where Lana village was at.
"Lana village eh. Alright, looks like we found a way out of here." He said to his pokemon.
"Glace!" She jumped up happily, glad to finally be getting out of this forest, and so the two started to move out as they headed to Lana village. They walked for an hour in silence until they saw what looked to be an exit.
Once they saw their way out of here, the two ran towards the light getting brighter the closer they got they had to shield their eye's from the blinding light. Until finally they reached the exit and the light was getting less brighter as they were greeted by a grass field, as the sun was shining bright in the clear skies. Talisman and Glaceon had never been so happy to see the sun, it felt like they had been lost in the forest for years and just up ahead was Lana village.
"That must be Lana village, let's go." The two headed to Lana village, the trainer couldn't help but smile that the shooting star he made a wish on actually came true.
What they failed to noticed was that they were being watched by glowing red eye's from the forest they just left from.
Lana village, a town that was usually full of life with the people of this village going about their daily lives, children playing outside with their friends, and shops owners setting up their market selling all sort of items. Despite the long 700 years war the people of Lana village still went on with their daily life.
But instead the young pokemon trainer and the fresh snow pokemon was staring at a deserted Lana village. The two had just arrived in hope to get some anwsers to which region they were at, but that idea was banished as the two stare at the ghost like town.
"Where is everybody...?" Was the big question on their minds, there was not a single person or pokemon in sight.
"Let's go look around, there's got to be at least someone here." The trainer and the ice type went to explore the deserted village to find if anyone was here, or even a pokemon center.
As they looked around, Talisman tried calling out to anyone.
"Hello is anyone there?!" He shouted out loud only to be met with silent, he decided to try one more time.
"HAY! Is anyone there?!" He shouted much louder. "Gla glac!" Glaceon joined in, and was again met with silent. He then decided to check one of the houses and Glaceon follows behind him.
As the two were approaching one of the houses, Talisman begin to notice something odd about the houses.
It didn't cross his mind at first, but once he got closer he noticed that all of the houses seemed to be made entirely out of wood, he was no construction worker like uncle Michael but there was something about not only just the houses, but the village as well... It all felt and looked, medieval.
They both stop at one of the houses, he put that thought about this place looking medieval to the side for later as he went and knocked on the door only to have it slowly open, they turned to each other in confusion that someone would just leave their door half open like that.
Both the trainer and the ice type stare at the inside of the house interior, the two stood at the open door unsure if they should go inside.
"Umm hello? Is anyone in here?!" Said the pokemon trainer.
"Your door was open and I was hoping that you could help us!" He yelled as they waited for a reply, like when they got hear they were again met with silence. He decided to go in the house, he just hoped that if someone was here that they don't get the wrong idea that he was some kind of burglar.
"I don't know if anyone is in or not, but we're coming in!" He shouted as they made their way in side.
Once they walk into the house, the trainer looked around the house. In front of him and Glaceon was a wooden table with four wooden bowls and spoons and four chairs one of them was knocked down on the wooden floor, on the right was a fireplace that had a pot and a cauldron that was hanging by a chain, and on the wall were cooking pans and on the left were a set of stairs that led to the bedroom.
The trainer started to look around the house, Glaceon following right behind him, his gaze caught something in the wooden bowl.
Curious he went to take a look at the content in the bowl, and what he found was what looks to be of a half eaten soup with some vegetables he can make out like carrots, cabbages, and potatoes. Just seeing the half eaten soup made him hungry, in fact they haven't eaten since they woke up in that forest. His thought's was snapped back to reality by a rumbling, which startled the trainer thinking that someone was here. Another rumbling was heard as he turned to the source, it was coming from Glaceon stomach.
"G-glace." Said the ice type with both a embarrassed and an apologetic look on her face, her cheeks turning a shade of pink. He couldn't help but smile at her cute reaction as he got down on one knee placing a hand on her head as both their eye's met each other.
"Guess i'm not the only one who's hungry huh." He said in a humorous tone, then his face changed to a frown.
"I'm just sorry I don't have any snacks or poke puffs with me..." Even though he had no idea of something like this happening, he still should have at least packed a snack for the both of them.
Glaceon place her paw on his hand. "Gla glac glaceon glaceon." She said telling him not to beat himself up over this, and also telling him that she'll be fine until they find a place where they can eat, giving him a reassuring smile. He may not understand what she's saying but he can tell that she is telling him not to beat himself up and that she'll be alright, honestly if pokemon could talk it would make understanding them a whole lot easier.
"Alright once we find a pokemon center or a cafe, I promise the first thing we'll do is get something to eat and I'll even get you some poke puffs." Upon hearing that he was going to get her poke puffs. Her eye's lit up.
"Gla glaceon glaceon glac!" She cried out in excitement. Glaceon absolutely loves poke puffs, he would treat her and the rest of the team on a special day or after a long hard pokemon battle with his friends and would always pick their favorite. Absol loves the Mint with a crescent moon on top, Goodra loves the Citrus with a dried orange slices on top, and Glaceon loves the Sweet love poke puff with a cherry on top.
"And yes I know which one you like." He let out a chuckled getting back up on his feet. "Let's go and take a look around upstairs."
As the two finished looking around, Talisman tried calling out to whoever lived here one more time.
"Hay! Is anybody home?!" Yelled the trainer as they waited for any respond, and yet again they were met with silence.
"Guess not..." He muttered to himself as the two made their way upstairs to a hallway, there they saw only two doors next to each other.
So the two went to the door closest to them as Talisman placed his hand on the door knob, he turned to his pokemon and gave her a nod telling her that he's gonna open the door to which she nods back to him.
The young trainer turned the door knob and pushed it open, the door creaking due to it's old age and the two step into the room.
There in the room were two beds one on the left the other on the right, and right in front of them was an opened drawer and clothes scattered around the floor.
While the two went to have a closer look of the room Talisman felt that he stepped on something. Lifting up his foot he found that it was a doll, that had a white one piece dress and long blond hair and green eye's with a smile on it's face.
He gently pick it up as if he were holding a baby in his hands, but there was something about the doll he was holding as he quickly noticed that It had pointy ears. ' whats up with the ears.' He thought to himself as he tuned his attention back to the scattered clothes.
"Glac glac gla?" Said the fresh snow pokemon as she went looking through the clothes scattered around.
"I, don't know..." He said to his pokemon, his light green eye's scanning the scattered clothes. "By the looks of it, whoever lived here sure left in a big hurry." Any chance of finding anyone here in Lana village were starting to get more and more low and left more question then ever before.
Just what in Xerneas horns happened here? Was what was going through the young pokemon trainer's head as he put the doll on the top of the drawer.
"Let's go to the last room." The two left the bedroom and made their way to the next room.
Talisman had a feeling that there wasn't gonna be anyone in the room, as he push the door open and not to his surprise there wasn't anyone there as they went to look around. There was a double bed on the top center, on the right was a drawer that was open and had some clothes scattered on the floor, and on the left was a small table and on top was a candle, on the center was a small female statue, that had a long dress and hair that looked to reach all the way down to her ankles and she had pointy ears like the doll he saw back in the other room. In her hand was what looked to be some sort of staff she was holding.
Talisman stared at the small statue with great curiosity he walked towards the statue. The wooden floor creaked with each step he took, until he stopped at the small table.
Picking up the statue, he began to inspect it. Just who was this lady? Was she someone important or famous? Was the questions on the trainer's head as he takes a seat on the double bed. Plus, why were her ears like that? Was it a design mistake? Who ever made the statue, if that was so then why did the doll have the ears as well? He doubted it was a coincidence, as he turned his head up to the ceiling. Then something hit him as he turned to Glaceon.
"Hay Glaceon have you noticed something... Odd about this house?" He asked getting her attention.
She thinks over what he said trying to find anything suspicious about this house, she shakes her head at not finding anything odd about it. "Glace?" She asked curious.
"Ever since we went in, I've notice that back downstairs there was no tv. At first it didn't seem odd, then I notice that there was no cooking stove or oven and a refrigerator."
Glaceon felt like slapping herself for not noticing. Of course she knows what a tv and oven is, she remember's her first experience with the tv and how it made her jump, scared thinking that what was on the tv screen was going to come out. After Talisman explain that what she was seeing was not going to come out and what a tv is, he then later show and explain to her what these are and what they do and why we humans use them, it took some time for her to learn, but now she better understand's what all the tools and things that humans use in there everyday life.
"And that's not all. There isn't a power socket or a light switch anywhere in the room, heck there isn't even a Arceus damn bathroom around here." He finished.
Okay, now that was definitely odd as the two went over the discovery they just found. Just what is up with this house? As he got up from the bed and putting the statue back where it belongs. "Okay, if we want answers on what happened here we should go find the pokemon center."
After they finished looking through the room, the two left the house and started looking for a pokemon center. They search every part of Lana village but could not find one anywhere.
And so the two find themselves at the centre of the village that had a water well, the young trainer saw a bench and the two made their way to it and sat down.
The young pokemon trainer let out a tired sigh. He checks his phone only to see a no signal, as he put's it back in his jacket pocket while he tries to gather his thoughts.
There was not a soul here. From what him and Glaceon saw back in the house and the mess they saw, like someone was packing in a big hurry and wanted to get out of here fast, but why? was the question on his mind. But that wasn't the only thing on his mind the houses... No the whole vilage and everything about it all looks medieval, were they in some sort of tour attraction or a movie set? If so, then there should have been at least someone here or cameras's filming equipment and crew. But that seems unlikely and didn't explain why everyone left. He tried to find the answer in his mind but couldn't find one like he hit a brick wall.
And now for the most important question that came to mind, what were they going to do now? And where were they going to go?
He didn't know where to go or where the nearest town was and where were they going to sleep?
He didn't have a sleeping bag with him so they were probably gonna have to sleep out on the ground somewhere. He took of his backpack to see what he had on him. He had about thirty three pokeballs, three great balls, and two ultra balls, so that all comes to a total of thirty eight pokeballs altogether. Next was potion. He had five potions, two super potions,and three hyper potions that all makes twelve. He also had two paralyze heals, two burn heals, one ice heal, one awakening heal, and three antidotes, as he puts his backpack back on. It wasn't much, but he had to make do with what he had until they make it to the next town.
While he was thinking on what to do, Glaceon who was lying beside Talisman was in her own thought of mind. Ever since they got to Lana village, she had a bad feeling about something. She didn't know if it was that this place was deserted, which felt creepy, or if it was just her imagination. She tried to brush it off as nothing, but she still couldn't shake that feeling, so she took her mind to something else.
However her thought's were interrupted by something big that caught her eye. She quickly turned to Talisman.
"Glac glaceon!" She cried out breaking the trainer out of his thought of mind and saw what got her attention.
Just up ahead was someone or rather something was slowly approaching them. It was quite big and muscular that could probably go toe to toe with a Machoke. It's skin was brown and had two horns on top of it's head on each side, it had pointy ears it's eye's were glowing red and had sharp teeth, it was wearing dark green rags and was holding a mace.
Talisman and Glaceon got up from the bench and stared at the strange unknown creature.
"A pokemon? I wonder what it is?" He got out his pokedex to scan the unknown pokemon as he held it up towards it, to let the pokedex search for what pokemon and type it was.
But, nothing happened. He check to see if it was working as he tapped the transparent center of his pokedex making it beep.
It was working just fine so he tried it again and still nothing, not even a no data from it which confused the trainer. Sure he didn't have the national dex, but still if it was a pokemon from Alola or Galar it would of given him a no data.
It stopped as it gazed at the two with a threatening look. And then it let out a roar and started charging towards the two, it's mace raised.
This caught the two by surprise, as they jumped on opposite sides. It's mace landed on the bench smashing it into pieces.
Talisman stared at the now destroyed bench, his eye's wide as it turns to the fallen pokemon trainer with the intent to kill.
Glaceon got up and turns to see that whatever that thing is was approaching Talisman. Her eye's widened upon seeing Talisman in danger as she rush to him. "Glace glace!?" Said the ice type with a worried look on her face. "I'm fine don't worry." Said Talisman, who was now up on his feet. She let out a sigh of relief that he was fine, then she turns her attention to the creature glaring ice cold daggers at it.
No one. And I mean no one trys to hurt her brother and get's away with it. Talisman saw that it was about to attack again. But he was not going to give it a chance to use it's mace.
"Glaceon use ice shard!" The ice type release a sharp volley of ice towards it but what happened next, was something they could never have imagined.
The ice shards pierced into it's chest, some went on it's arms neck and face. It drop it's mace and fell on it's back with a heavy thud and wasn't moving... The two stood there in silence, their minds processing what had just happened, until Talisman broke the silence.
"Xerneas horns..." He muttered the two stared in shock and horror at what they just did... They just killed, whatever that thing was. As they move towards it's lifeless body as blood starts to pour to the ground. And a metallic smell made it's way to their noises making Glaceon winch at the smell and Talisman felt his stomach turn, but his mind was still processing what just happened.
He knew that they were only defending themselves, I mean any trainer would if they were attacked by a wild pokemon.
But that attack shouldn't have broken a pokemon skin. Sure they can take a big hit and get some cuts and bruises battling, but they have their limits. But if a human was hit by a pokemon attacks it would leave serious injuries and even death.
Both Talisman and Glaceon stare at the gruesome dead body and saw that one of the ice shards was in it's eye, he felt like he was going to throw up but he held it in.
Glaceon didn't take her eye's off the dead creature she had just killed. When she first saw it and gazed into it's glowing red eye's, there was something about it that made her fur stand on end... It was like she was staring at something dark and twisted to the very core...
Talisman didn't know why, but there was a part of him that was screaming that they needed to leave here right now. He turned to Glaceon who was in her own thought of mind.
"Glaceon we should leave here now..." And so the two begin to depart the deserted village in silence, their minds still fresh on that poke- no, whatever that thing was. He was thinking if he should tell someone what happened? Just as they left the deserted village the two stopped. What they saw in front of them made their eye's go wide.
Out on the far distance of a wide open field was a hoard of the same creature that attacked them, only some looked different. There were even some that were flying, and they all had weapons and were marching to Lana village.
Fear made it's way to the trainer and ice type as they stared at the marching creatures that were approaching. There look to be thousands of them, there was no way they can take that many on.
"Wait a minute..." He just realised something as he put the dots together. It all made sense now! This was the reason this place was deserted because of the army of those creatures that were marching hear, the trainer turns to his pokemon.
"We need to get out of here..."
His voice filled with fear and the two started running back and through the village to reach the other side of the entrance, that led back to the forest. Just what in Giratina distortion World is going on! The two continue running until they could see the forest from the back entrance of the village.
Talisman smiled as they finally left Lana village, but only to have it fade to see more of the creatures coming out from the forest. He counted about six of them armed with swords, axes and spears. There was no way they could go back to the village, so their only option was to fight their way through.
"We're going to have to fight our way through them, are you ready for this?"
She turns and saw the serious look on the trainer's face, telling her this is going to be dangerous. He didn't need an answer as she got in a battle stance, she didn't know what those things were, but she was not going to let any of them hurt Talisman.
The creatures saw both the trainer and ice type, as they let out a war cry and charges towards the two, Talisman ordering her to do the same.
"Glaceon use ice beam!"
She fired her ice cold beam, as it hit's one of the creatures it was encased in ice. The other creatures stared at one of their own frozen in a block of ice for a second, then they let out a cry of rage to avenge their fallen ally.
"One down five to go..." The trainer said to himself. "Ice shard!"
A volley of sharp cold shards of ice made it's way towards the charging creatures. Her attack was able to hit one of the creatures as it falls dead on the ground, and even manages to get one of them in the arm.
Yet that didn't stop them, even though one of them had three piece of ice shard in it's arm. The trainer couldn't help but winch at the thought of having an ice shard in his arm and the amount of pain he'll be in, as he saw that they were getting closer to the ice type. They needed to finish this quick before the army of those creatures they saw get's hear.
"Glaceon use bliz- dodge it!" The trainer yelled as one of the creatures had thrown a spear high up into the air and was heading down towards her fast, she turns her head up and her eye's widened upon seeing the spear coming down towards her.
The fresh snow pokemon skids to a halt and jumps back as the spear lands, piercing the ground. Just as she landed one of the creatures with an axe leaped to towards the ice type, it's axe raised and letting out a war cry to cut the pokemon in two.
"Dodge it!" He shouted to which she did, the fresh snow pokemon leaps to the right avoiding the axe as it hits the ground.
"Use iron tail!"
She ran towards it, then she jumps up high into the air her tail turning metallic and the ice type spins herself forward.
The creature uses the axes wooden handle to block the incoming attack. Only to have it break in two and her iron tail smash into it's face with great force, that she heard a crack sound as it falls on it's back dead.
Just as she was about to land, she heard Talisman yells.
"Block it!"
She saw one of the creatures was about to swing it's sword at her. So she swings herself back in midair and uses her iron tail to block it's attack, which sends the fresh snow pokemon flying back a good distance which was a big mistake for them.
"Glaceon use blizzard!"
As soon as she landed, the fresh snow pokemon opens her mouth and released a powerful blizzard from her mouth, hitting all three and freezing them instantly.
"Alright that's all of them, let's move before they catch up to us!" Both the trainer and the ice type wasted no time in making a run for the forest. While they were running Talisman would look back to see if those creatures were chasing them, thankfully they weren't... Yet.
They made their way into the forest and were greeted by the familiar sight of trees. He wasn't thrilled to be back here in the forest, after all the trouble they went through to find their way out of here. I mean he really couldn't complain since there's an army of those creatures trying to kill them. As they kept on running the two stop as they saw something blocking there path.
Just up ahead were more of the creatures. There was three of the same creatures they had just fought, the only differences was they had midnight blue skin and one eye.
And behind them were ten small creatures five reds carrying swords, and five green carrying bows and arrows, their eye's were yellow and the green ones had ponty noses.
One of the one eyed creature stepped forward and stopped. Then it's eye started glowing. The trainer narrowed his eye's at the one eye creature as it got more brighter, he stared at it for a moment trying to figure out what it was doing, it look like it was-.
His eye's went wide realizing what it was about to do.
"MOVE!"
He yelled at the top of his lungs, as they both ran at full speed to the right in the thick of trees.
Then it fired a red beam from it's eye hitting the road they were just on, causing a small explosion and leaving a small crater.
As both trainer and ice type ran as fast as they could, while avoiding running into any trees. The trainer turned his head to see if those creatures were chasing them.
Only to have an arrow fly right past him, just barely missing the trainer by an inch and hitting a tree as he saw that they were indeed being chased and the one eye creatures fired their red beam, two of which missed and one hits a tree right next to Talisman. The force of the blast sent pieces of wood flying everywhere and knocking the trainer down to the ground.
Ringing, was all he could hear. As he saw Glaceon running up to him her cry's muffled by the ringing, her face had a look of both worry and fear.
An arrow lands just inches near the trainer's hand. He turned his head to see that the creatures were catching up to them. This got him to jump to his feet.
"Come on! We got to keep moving!" He said to his pokemon as they both ran, while avoiding arrows and the red beams as he's hearing also started to get back to normal.
One of the red beams hit's a tree just up ahead of them as the tree comes tumbling down to the ground.
Both trainer and the ice type did not stop or even slow down, there course set on getting over that fallen tree.
As soon as they were close enough, they both jumped over the fallen tree. But instead of their feet\ paws landing on the grass ground, they instead fell and rolled down on a hill completely out of control.
Everything around them was spinning, like that time back when he was a kid and Glaceon an Eevee. Where mom and dad would take them to the amusement park, eating cotton candy and go on all sorts of rides. But the one ride they would go on the most and their favourite was the tea cup ride.
Oh how he would spin the tea cup as fast as he could, yelling to his mom and dad to help him spin the cup making their whole world spin as the whole family laughed out in joy and fun. Only this time him and Glaceon weren't in the tea cup, they were instead rolling down a hill, running for their live's scared from a army of bloodthirsty creatures trying to kill them wouldn't exactly be called fun.
They finally came to a stop, as Talisman crashes into a tree and then Glaceon crashes into him. Both groan in pain and the two were dizzy, Talisman tried to pick himself up only for him to stumble and place his hand on the tree he just crash into for support, everything still spinning.
Just as he was about to ask Glaceon if she was alright. An arrow hit's the tree that the trainer had his hand on, what also caught the ice type's attention, as they turned their heads to the hill and saw that the small creatures were standing on top of the fallen tree, shooting arrow's at the two,while the one's carrying swords were about to make their way down.
"Ah crap! They just don't give up!" The two continue running from the creatures, who finally made it down the hill were now in hot pursuit of the two.
While they were running, Talisman was thinking on what to do. He knew that they couldn't keep running forever, as he can already feel his legs started to get sore and his lungs felt like they were on fire. Even Glaceon was starting to get tired from all this running.
And there was no were for them to hide. As a arrow almost hit's Glaceon and a red beam shot right past them, hitting a tree and falls to the side.
Okay that's it. They were going to have to take them out but how? They couldn't even get a hit in if they wanted to, with them being shot at nonstop by arrows and those damn red beams.
Unless... A idea pops in the pokemon trainer head. It's a dangerous and crazy idea, but it might just work if they play their cards right. He then turns his head to the ice type, knowing she wasn't going to like this idea.
"Glaceon! I got an idea! I'm going to lure myself as bait and grab their attention, while giving you a chance to attack!"
Upon hearing his idea, Glaceon turned her head to Talisman. "Glac gla glaceon!" The fresh snow pokemon cried out frantically in protest at such a insane idea. He didn't need to know what she was saying, already knowing that she was against this plan.
"Look, I know this isn't exactly the best plan, but we don't have a lot of options and we can't keep this up forever, so are best bet is to take them out!"
She went and though over his plan. Honestly, this is a bad idea as she felt her anxiety for Talisman kicks in. A number of things could go wrong and couldn't bear the thought of losing him. But deep down, she knows that he was right about that they couldn't keep running forever and would soon start to get tired, or if one of those arrows or that red beams hit's them.
Plus by the time she try's to stop to attack and Talisman gives out a command, they'll be skewered by arrows, or blown into pieces by the one creatures. She bit her lip still feeling anxiety about this plan,until finally she reluctantly agree to his plan, she just hope it doesn't end badly.
"Glace gla!" The fresh snow pokemon said, but the worried look still on her face to which he noticed knowing what was going through her head.
"Look Glaceon I-" Another arrow almost hit's him, as it's fly's past the trainer missing him by a hear. "I know your worried about me doing this, but don't you worry I don't plan on dying! And plus I'll guide you on what moves to use and when to use them!" He said trying to help ease her mind, which seems to work as her worried look on her face changed to a serious look.
"Glaceon!" The ice type said saying that she ready to start his plan whenever.
Nodding to his pokemon, he looked back to their pursuers only for him to duck as a arrow flew past him hitting a tree.
"Shit! That was close!" As he turned his head back to the creatures to find the right time to start his plan. And to also find any weakness that Glaceon can use to her advantage.
Narrowing his eye's, the small reds and green's creatures don't seem to haven any that he can see but, he noticed something about the one eye creatures who were far behind the small one's. Then he saw that they stopped moving and then, their eye's started to glow for a second and fired those red beams, all of which missed their intended target and started moving again.
'So the one eye's one can only attack while their not moving and are also slow, but their attacks packs a punch what we need to watch out for.' He said in his head. As he begin to form a plan of attack.
'Let's see... Once I get they're attention I'll have Glaceon attack the one eye creatures first. And as soon as they stop to charge their attacks, Glaceon can use blizzard on all three. Then she can use ice shard on the green creatures with the bows, and the same with the red one's.' He finish his planning and turns to Glaceon.
"Alright, hears what you got to do! As soon as I get they're attention and are far enough away from you! I want you to use blizzard on the one eye creatures first as soon as they stop. Then after you took care of them, use ice shard on the green one's and the same on the reds got it?!"
She reply with a. "Glace!" Understanding on what to do.
"Right, when I give the word we'll split, so you're ready?!"
"Gla!" Said the ice type ready to go any time.
He turned his attention to the one eye creatures as they stop to charge their attack and then...
"NOW!"
Just as the one eye creatures fired their red beam. The two split up in different directions. Before some of the creatures can even think of going after the ice type, they heard a voice called out to them.
"Hay! Hay! Over hear!" They all stop as all their attention were now on the pokemon trainer.
"Come on! I'm the one you want!" As Talisman starts to run. They all stared at the trainer for a second, until one of them let's out a roar which snaps the rest of them out of they're daze and begins to chase the trainer, forgetting all about the ice type.
Talisman turned his head, a small smile on his face that they all took the bait while avoiding whatever attacks they throw at him. 'Now that they're focused on me, it's all up to Glaceon to take them out. I know can do it...'
while the creatures had their blood lust sights on the trainer. They failed to noticed that the fresh snow pokemon was right on they're tail, her first target set on one eye creatures.
All she has to do is wait for them to stop to attack for her chance to use blizzard on them, then she'll use ice shard on the green and the red ones just as he said. But, as soon as the two split both her worry and anxiety return like a bad dark cloudy storm.
Fear of what will happen if she fails, or somehow screws up. A image of Talisman getting hit by a arrow as he fell on the ground, trying to get back up. Only to have the red creatures jump on the trainer stabbing him repeatedly screaming in agony as his pure white jacket was now red of his blood played in her head.
She shakes that thought out of her head and starting to have second thoughts about this and- no... She push all her fears out of her head. Talisman was both counting and risking his life for her to take out the creatures. Getting herself back to reality as she focused her attention back onto the one eye creatures, when she saw that they stopped to charge their attack.
Now was her chance! As she picks up speed and leaps towards them, then releasing an icy wind from her mouth.
Before they could even have a chance to fire their attacks, all three were hit by a vicious blizzard freezing them solid instantly as she lands.
Now that she took care of the one eye creatures, she wasted no time and sprinted to her next target, the green creatures and then after that the red creatures.
Unfortunately, one of the green creatures turned it's head to see why the three behind them haven't been attacking. Only to see that they're been frozen in ice and Glaceon who was coming towards them fast, her forehead glowing.
It called out to the others to warn them, but before they could even turn to the ice type, sharp shards of ice came out of her mouth hitting the green creatures and impaled one of them into a tree. However the one that tried to warn the others managed to jump out of the way of the attack. And the red creatures stopped and turn to see that four of their archers were dead.
But what shocked them the most was three of the one eye creatures were frozen in ice. Talisman turned his head and saw that the creatures had stop chasing him, their attention now on Glaceon as he saw that the last green creature was about to fire an arrow at the ice type. Acting quick he wasted no time in giving Glaceon a command.
"Glaceon dodge it and use iron tail!" The green creature fired it's arrow at the ice type, only to have her jump to the side just barely missing the ice type by a inch as the arrow fly's past her. Then she charge towards it, her tail turning metallic as it tries to grab a arrow in a panic as the ice type was getting closer, but it drops one of the arrow.
Quickly grabbing another arrow and was about to take aim at Glaceon, but was to late as she use the side of her tail cutting it in half from it's torso killing it. Talisman watch as it's upper body was sent flying and lands with an thud, blood starts to pour turning the once green grass red. He even saw it's intestines, to which he turns his gaze back to Glaceon who was now surrounded by the red creatures ready to attack the ice type.
Talisman watch as they slowly circle around Glaceon like a pack of Mightyena, eyeing their prey. Whiles Talisman was thinking on what to do.
Maybe he can have Glaceon use ice beam and- no, by the time she use ice beam the rest will attack, same with blizzard and ice shard.
'Come on Talisman! Think, think!' He desperately tried thinking of an idea.
Just as he was thinking, he noticed that Glaceon tail was still metallic from that green creature she had just killed.
Then a idea hit him. But before he could even go over his idea that just came to him, he saw that the red creatures all turned their heads and nods to each other and they all started to charge at Glaceon at the same time ready to kill the fresh snow pokemon, Talisman acted quick as he shouted.
"Spin attack with iron tail!" Once she heard what to do. She spin herself with great force and speed, her tail straight as she manage to hit all five with her iron tail sending them all flying back with deep slash marks as they're body's hit's the ground, lying in their own pool of blood dead.
Talisman let's out a huge sigh of relief, that they manage to take out all the creatures chasing them. Placing both his hands on his thighs panting heavily, sweat running down his brow and his shirt damp whit sweat from all that running. He was also glad that the spin attack with iron tail work. He got the idea out from the princess and the blue tears. It was chapter four, where sir Maxwell leader of the blue tears and his knights was trying to take back a town that the empire forces had occupied. While he was locked in combat with a empire soldier, where his gazed caught that his Glaceon was surrounded by six of the empire soldiers pokemon, where they all ordered their pokemon to attack his Glaceon at the same time. And that's when he ordered Glaceon to spin attack with iron tail, sending the six pokemon flying back and even making one of the pokemon crush into a nearby soldier and so that was where he got the spin attack from. Even know it might not be useful in a single battle, he still thought it could be useful if they ever got attack by a group of wild pokemon, or double battles or other things and plus, he really needs to come up with a better name but he can worry about that another time.
Right now Talisman legs felt like they were going to collapse and wanted to rest as Glaceon made her way to Talisman and was now beside him.
Just as he was about to sit down on the ground to rest. He then remember the army of those creatures that they saw and were probably at Lana village by now, he weren't sure if they stop at the village or if they were after them.
If that was so then they needed to get moving as fast and far away from those creatures, even know him and Glaceon were tired and wanted to have a rest even for just one minute, but he didn't want to risk letting the creatures catch up to them.
As he was about to speak to Glaceon, telling her that they needed to get moving. A sound of a stick snapping from behind made to two turned, but once they did their eye's went wide in horror at what they saw.
Behind them were more of those creatures, a lot more he weren't exactly sure of how many he could make out but by his guess, there was twenty or more some of them were completely different. The first was what look to have a face of a Tauros, only it's fur was a darker brown and had a longer horn, it had a nose ring and it was standing on it's hind legs and was huge and muscle carrying a hug axe.
And there were some furry creatures ,some of their fur were black, brown, and gray with razor sharp claws but some were carrying weapons and shields, their ears was on top of their heard and had tails.
Growing and glaring at the two with their glowing blood red eye's. Both Talisman and Glaceon slowly back away as more starts to show up, he turned his head back but once he did his blood went cold at what he saw.
Emerging from behind the trees was six more of the creatures.
"G-glace!" Yell the ice type her voice filled with fear what got his attention and saw seven more approaching on the right. He turned to the left for the two to make a run for it, but that idea was thrown out the window as he saw six more. And with them, was huge green creature that towers over the rest carrying a huge wooden culb, as all their escape route block completely surrounding the two.
"Shit! Where they come from!?" He said to himself, while trying to think of someway out of this. Franticly looking for a opening that they could escape from, but couldn't find one causing the trainer to grit his teeth.
"Guess we're gonna have to fight our way through em. Glaceon, blizzard! Then use ice shard from behind us"
She fires an icy wind and managed to freeze all six, then she turns to the horn and furry creatures and fires her ice shards.
However, the furry creatures with the shields ran in front of the horn creature, as they got into a formation and raise their shields blocking the sharp ice shards just in time.
The tip of the shards stop just inches through their shields. One of the shard tip, stab one on the creature in the arm making it cry out in pain, yet it still held it shield. What seems to anger the horn creature as it let out a cry and all the creatures charged towards them.
Panic starts to sink in as they draw closer. Talisman knew he had to do some fast thinking now, or they were as good as dead. As a numbers of of ideas race in his head Maybe he could- no, that wouldn't work or maybe he could- yes! That might just work.
"Glaceon turn your head up and use ice shard!" She was not sure why he wanted her to turn her head up and use ice shard, but she did as he said and fires a volley of shards up in the air while the creatures were getting closer.
Glaceon turned to Talisman. "Glac?" She said with a bit of fear in her voice. "Trust me, any second now." And right on cue, sharp shards of ice starts to rain down everywhere hitting the creatures.
One went right through a creature head to it's mouth killing it instantly. The ones with the shields were using their like a umbrella, while some were trying to avoid the the raining shards of ice only to be hit by the sharp shards and some were even using their arms as shields which did little to help, until finally the raining shards came to an end.
The two looked around their surroundings at all the death that he ordered Glaceon to do. They saw some creatures that had survived, but the right and front side were the frozen creatures she use blizzard on was clear for them to make a run for it. But their eye's was on the horn creature as they stare at it in disbelieve. It was still standing with six shards in it's arms and blood was dripping down on the green grass. It turned it's gaze on the two, the surviving sixteen creatures slowly approaching the trainer and ice type.
Talisman was thinking if they should make a run for it, or finish the rest of them of. If they make a run for it then they're just come after them.
He was interrupted by a loud cry, as he turned to the right and was shocked to see that the huge green creature carrying the huge wooden club with ten or more ice shard on it's arms and back was still alive. Taking him completely by surprise and had no time to react or move as time seems to slow down all around him.
Was this it? Was this how it was all going to end? Die in wherever he was at? There was so much he wanted to do with his life, his thoughts on everyone back home. Dad, Michael, Arthur, Ethan, Becky and, Pearl... As he watch death draws closer and closer, the huge creature ready to end his life with the wooden club in it's hand. However he felt a great force pushed him out of the way as he fell on the ground, and saw it was Glaceon who push him as she took the full blow of the hit sending her flying, crashing through six trees and lands hard on the ground. Talisman eye's widen in horror at what just.
"GLACEON!" He screams running to her as fast as he could, as he runs past the frozen creatures and saw that she wasn't moving, a knot formed in the pit of his stomach starting to fear the worst. "Please be alright." He said to himself as he stopped near her and got to his knees.
"Glaceon!" He cried out placing a hand on her. She turned her head and saw the worried look on his face. "G-glac..." She said in a weak voice, but winched in pain.
A loud cry was heard as he turned and saw that the rest of the creatures were heading to them fast. "Gl-gla-" She tried to speak but was cut off by Talisman.
"Don't try to talk! I'm gonna get you out of here." His voice shakes with fear as he picked her up and then started running from the creatures. his legs felt like they were going to give up on him, but seeing Glaceon hurt made him fight through the pain determined to get her some help, or find a pokemon center otherwise... Otherwise...
He couldn't bear the thought of losing her. He had known her since he was five, they had been through so many good times and hardship together, she was more then just his pokemon, she was his partner, best friend... And his sister. A trainer losing their pokemon is the worst thing anyone could go through, like you lost a part of yourself that can never be replaced. Even if you got the same pokemon that you lost it wouldn't be the same pokemon that you've know your whole life. He already lost his mom he won't lose Glaceon, even if it kills him.
He finally came to a stop as he was standing in front of a river, the current was strong, jumping in would be suicide. He looked around frantically for anywhere they could run to, or even find a bridge they could cross to get to the other side, but couldn't find one and there was no way he could make that jump it's way to far.
And to make matters worst. The creatures were catching up as he turned his attention back on the harsh river current.
So he's got two choices, stay hear and get ripped apart by the creatures, or jump into the river and take their chances. And it was obvious which he was going to do, as he walked back, getting himself ready to jump in the river. "This is a bad idea." He might as well write a book on the numbers of bad and crazy idea he's done in his life, if they survive this.
As he held Glaceon tight, he then ran and jumped into the river and dived underwater. The current pulling them, as Talisman was trying to swim up to the surface while holding Glaceon. He then managed to reach the surface, as he let out a huge gasp for air and held Glaceon on his shoulder for her to have some air. The strong current made it hard for him to swim and stay afloat, then they went underwater again for a second, then surfaced, but when they did the trainer saw a rock. Before he could do anything his head hit the rock knocking him out and the two were carried away by the current.
Kaguya sat in her carriage, staring out into the night sky of her carriage window in deep thought.
The meeting about those new creatures felt like it went nowhere and Alicia and Maia started arguing again, over how to handle the new creatures. Celestine steps in and stops both their argument and the rest of the meeting went on, then she made a suggestion that they should capture one of the creatures alive and explain to the shields that if they can capture one, they could learn a lot from it, on how to better fight back against the creatures and find a weakness.
Her suggestion was met with shock. Alicia objected to this, saying that they can't afford to wast time on something like this. Maia thinks that trying to capture one alive would be impossible, saying that her and her troops couldn't even get close, let alone capture one. The rest seem unsure about this, but Celestine said that she would consider it.
She can understand her worry about trying to capture these creatures, for it will be no easy task. And the rest of the shields have their hands full with protecting towns and their own fortresses, while vult and his mercenaries were still dealing with a horde of orcs somewhere and didn't know when he would be back. She had also heard reports from her priestesses and samurais about the creatures possessing such incredible magical power, unlike anything they have ever seen.
But, there was something about these new creatures that she also heard. They didn't rape or take any of the women, or attack any towns, or when one of her priestesses saw one of the new creatures were looking at her, but it didn't attack her, it just went on it's way.
When news that new creatures have been seen all around Eostia, her first thought was that Origa was somehow responsible for this. But after hearing all sorts of bizzar reports from around Eostia of a farmer seeing a pink cow in his farm, an eye witness claimed he saw a herd of horses, only their mane and tails were on fire, and just an hour ago she saw a giant butterfly fly past. After hearing those reports, she slowly begin to have doubts that these new creatures may not be related to Origa and are in fact a new species that have never been seen before, that was her theory. If that was true, then where do these new creatures come from?
"Lady Kaguya."
A voice took the shrine maiden out of her thoughts and turns her attention to a man and a women sitting in front of her.
The first was a women, who had a long ponytail that reached down to he waist, her eye's were a gold colour with a mole under her left eye and had pink lipstick. She was wearing a top red kimono, only the sleeve were cut off. on her lower part she was wearing a fundoshi, she had white stockings and red sandals. This was Natsumi, her left hand, assistant and advisor.
Next was a bold man in red and black armour, with square armour plating on his shoulders waist and thighs. On his head was a helmet, and on his hip was a sword. This was Saito, her right hand, who command the samurais.
"You seem troubled, did the meeting not go so well?" Natsumi asked.
"Celestine said that she would consider it, while the rest seemed reluctant about it..." She told the two.
"I can understand some of their reluctantly about your suggestion. But you must understand that trying to capture one alive will be nearly impossible." Said Saito, having seen first hand their powerful magic. Him and his samurais couldn't even get close and the ones they could get close to had a strength of ten orcs, luckily there was no casualties.
"I know trying to capture one will be difficult. But we can't keep going head first at these new creatures and we have no knowledge of these creatures or their magical powers." They had tried many and all attempts to stop these new creatures, only to have them end in failure. Seeing that they were making no progress and receiving endless waves of reports about these new creatures, so a different approach was needed. They had to capture one of those creatures alive, to better understand their magic and to find a weakness for their troops to have a better chance at fighting these new creatures.
"But still, how will we capture one?" Natsumi spoke.
Honestly, she hadn't thought on how exactly they were going to capture one alive. She been so focused on all the reports she been hearing about these new creatures and their behavior, she also been busy with her shrine maiden duty and practicing the sacred dance for the summer festival which is coming up soon. And not only that, she also going to have to give her report to the emperor back home, on the progress of the war she write every six month.
"My apology. I haven't thought on how we would plan on capturing one, I will pray to god for answers and will have a meeting on how to capture one tomorrow." She finished and they all sat in silent. But there was something else on Kaguya mind, she didn't know why, but for some reason she could never take her mind of these new creatures, like there was something about them she finds... Curious and interesting but why...? As she was left in her own thought.
Just outside of Kaguya carriage that was being escorted by priestesses and samurais. A women with long brown hair that reach down to her back and had brown eye's and was holding a naginata was nervously looking out for anything that might attack. She had heard story of those new creatures, how one that looks like a mantis can cut a tree like it was butter and a yellow mouse that can shoot thunder. Just the thought of going up against one of those new creatures made her shudder as she turned her heard to a river, her eye's caught something on the edge of the river.
As she stops to get a better look at whatever it was, which one of her fellow priestesses noticed that she stop moving.
"Hanako, what the matter?" A priestesses with short brown hair that reach down to her neck and has gray eye's walks up to her.
"I'm not sure but, I think I saw something over there..." The now name Hanako said. Slowly walks up to whatever she saw. Until she stopped as her eye's went wide and let's out a gasp of shock.
The gray eye women rush to her side to see what's got Hanako shock, only to get the same reaction she had at what she saw.
Lying on the ground was a unconscious Talisman and next to him by his side was Glaceon who also unconscious. The gray eye women turned to Hanako.
"G-g-go! Inform lady Kaguya at once!"
The carriage came to a unexpected stop which Saito noticed. "Hmm, we've stopped." He said getting the attention of both the shrine maiden and her assistant, as he place his hand on the hilt of his sword. Just as he was about to go to find out why they stopped, the carriage door open and saw that it was Hanako who was panting heavily.
"Hanako, whats wrong?" Kaguya asked with a look of concern.
"L-lady Kaguya!" She said out loud still panting. "We found someone unconscious just up ahead on the edge of the river! And that's not all beside him is one of those new creature!"
Kaguya eye's went wide in shock, which was rare to see as she went over what Hanako just told her.
There was one of those new creature here and unconscious, but there was also someone unconscious beside it as well? As many question went through her mind as she got out of the carriage.
"Please show me the man and the creature that you found."
"Right away lady Kaguya." As they made their way to the unconscious man and creature. But what Kaguya didn't know was that she was going to meet the pokemon trainer that would change her whole life forever.
Kaguya followed Hanako, Saito and Natsumi right behind her as she begin to see a crowd of priestesses and samurais were gathered around the river. Her presence was quickly noticed and they moved out of the way for the shrine maiden and bowing to her. As she finally reach the edge of the river and saw the unconscious man and one of those new creature beside him. Three of her priestesses had their naginatas pointing at the creature, not taking their eye's of it in case it wakes up and attack.
Her first attention was on the unconscious creature, as she slowly moves to get a better look at it ,but one of the priestesses spoke.
"Lady Kaguya! You shouldn't get to close to it what if-" She was silence as Kaguya raise her hand and turns to the gray eye women.
"Don't worry Sakura, I'll be careful." Assuring her as she turns her attention back on the unconscious creature. The creature kind of resembled a fox, only it's fur was a light blue it's ears were long. She noticed that it had two dangling flaps on it's head, and a rhombus shapes on it's back, the tip of it's tail, paws and flaps.
It's beautiful... She thought to herself as she got to her knees. It look so peaceful, to think that something like this could caused so much trouble and damaged was hard to believe. She didn't know why but, she wanted to touch it as he hand reach out to feel it's fur, but as soon as her hand made contact with the unconscious creature, it winced out in pain making Kaguya jump and causing the priestesses and samurais to get their weapons out.
"Lady Kaguya! Are you alright?!" Sakura yell both Saito and Natsumi rushing to her side. "I'm alright, I was just startled." Her eye's on where she touch it. 'It seems to be injured, was it in some kind of fight?' She thought to herself, if that was so then she couldn't let this creature die, for a chance to capture one alive and learn about it may not present it self again. Both her hands hover on the injured creature and starts to glow a light blue and begin to healing it.
"Lady Kaguya what are you doing?!" Hanako said
"This creature is injured, we need it alive if we're ever going to learn anything about them." She said not taking her eye's of it.
"What! But lady Kaguya you've heard what they can do! If we bring it back with use to Thorn and it somehow escape there be nothing to stop it!" Sakura protest not liking this at all.
"Sakura, I understand your worries and concerns, but we may never have a opportunity like this again. And I will have a special cage with a magic seal and will take every precaution necessary to make sure that it doesn't escape with, guards watching it at all time." While she was healing the creature, she begin to noticed something odd.
'What... This creature has no mana...' She said shocked in her mind. She couldn't even find a small glimmer of mana anywhere, did it use it all? But if it did there should have at least been some mana, even the non magic users had some small trace of mana in them.
Her eye's then caught something on it neck. It was a black collar and on it was a crystal snowflake and on the center was a blue sapphire.
'A collar? Dose that mean it has a owner?' She turned her head to the unconscious man. could he be the owner of that creature, but how? This left more and more questions as she got to her feet.
"Natsumi please continue to heal the creature while I go tend to him." She turns to Hanako. "Hanako please go get some stretchers and a carriage."
"Of course."
"Yes lady Kaguya!"
As Natsumi went to heal the creature and Hanako with some priestesses ran to get stretchers and a carriage. Kaguya went to the unconscious man to see where he was hurt with Saito and Sakura following right behind her.
At first glance he would have been mistaken for a dark elf, but after a close look he didn't have the long pointy ears you find on elves or dark elves. And the clothes that he wore, they were unlike anything she seen even his shoes, but her eye's caught something. On his belt she saw two small red and whiter sphere like object ,she had no idea what they were or what they did so she decided to leave it for later.
As she found a cut on his head, as she got on her knees and her hands hover over his head and glows blue, as his cut starts to close. After a moment of healing him, Kaguya found something that made her eye's go wide.
'What? How could this be...? He has no mana in him as well.' How was this possible? There has never been any record of anyone born without mana and was unhrard of, even the the ones that can't use magic have some mana in them. Just who was this man? Was this creature his? Was he somehow connected to all of this? leaving her with even more questions.
Just as her and Natsumi finished healing the two. They saw Hanako and some priestesses came back with stretchers and a carriage.
"Lady Kaguya here are the stretchers and carriage as you requested."
"Thank you, please put them in the carriage and be careful with the creature..." Doing as they were told. They first took the man backpack of and put him and the creature on the stretcher and being careful not to wake the creature.
Just as they lifted the two, something fell out of his jacket pocket which Kaguya saw as they took the two to the carriage.
She made her way to whatever fell out of his pocket and picked it up. What she was holding in her hand was a square card like shaped object, that was red with dark red lines on the edge of the sides, on the center was a light blue transparent glass.
"What's that you have there?" Natsumi asked as Kaguya hand touch the center of it what made it beep, which made the two jump.
"What was that?" Natsumi said.
"I don't know, but I think it would be wise not to meddle with any of those items he has." She said as Hanako walks up to Kaguya.
"Lady Kaguya we're finish loading them into the carriage and are ready to move on your command."
"Good, we're head back to Thorn at once. And also do not meddle with any of those items he has, we don't know what they are and may be dangerous."
"Yes lady Kaguya, I shall tell the others not to touch them." As she went of and Kaguya Natsumi and Saito head back to the carriage and made their way back to Thorn.
Author's note: And done! Finally, sorry if I took so long to post this chapter, had some family and real life stuff but things are starting to get back to normal now. So yeah don't worry to those who thought this story dead. I don't plan on giving up on this story, anyway hope you all enjoy this chapter and I'll see you all on the next chapter.
