Sick But Not Twisted
Chapter One: The Shinobi and the S-class criminal
Somehow bringing in the murderer of the Uchiha clan felt somewhat like justice for Obito.
Obito had certainly missed the massacre, but all the same, it felt like justice.
It was hot, a dry day in some village on the far outskirts of the land of Earth, desert sand extended in all directions, and with a kunai pressed against the kunoichi's neck, Kakashi pondered just what the perpetrator of the Uchiha Massacre was doing near Suna dressed in some weird black robes with red clouds patterned around it.
It was a surprise that no one saw them in the middle of the day—and if they had they didn't make it obvious.
Now, she never turned or even the slightest gesture to look at him, yet all the same, she still said his name "Senpai, it's been some time. Not many men are brave enough to step a foot towards me let alone point a weapon at me."
He still had his anbu mask on his face, so he guessed his hair gave it away.
"Well I'm a different type of man, you should know better." He pressed the kunai harder and she didn't even flinch.
His Sharingan was already a dark red.
"Is it your mission to capture me?"
"No, I just happened to see you in the neighborhood and well—I can't just bypass every crime you committed in Konoha."
"Leave—I have no intention to kill you, not when I still cherish our friendship."
"I'm finding that hard to believe—you didn't spare anyone, not even your own parents—well, at least you left your younger brother. Someone you know you could defeat in case you need a new set of eyes." Kakashi deduced, but this was really just his hypothesis.
He searched the girl's slender profile for any indication that what he had said had struck a nerve or merited any sort of truth. The outline of her hips could be seen through her robes—telling Kakahi that she had matured quite into a woman in the time she had abandoned Konoha.
Though as he should have expected from Itachi Uchiha, nothing came from the beautiful yet quiet woman. He couldn't get her to react the way he wanted.
"You don't give me enough credit. Perhaps I left him alive for another reason."
Another reason?
No, Kakashi was a hundred percent sure that's what Sasuke was preserved for. How S-class criminal of a sister would eventually come back to her little brother for his eyes and naturally either Kakashi eliminated her now, before he even became a genin or Sasuke would have to get so much stronger.
"Don't believe me?"
"No, not at all."
A kunai fell from her sleeve and Kakashi only had seconds to react as he went to dive his kunai into her throat.
Atlas, the Itachi he stabbed disappeared into crows before she reappeared behind him and slashed her own kunai, the anbu operative blocking, the screech of metal echoing all throughout the land.
They broke off, looked at each other, and with speed that most humans couldn't comprehend they pounced, blur lines went everywhere as Kakashi swung his weapon intercepting every single one of her swings with his own, yellow sparks morphed with each hit—the two danced as they blocked and dodged each fatal attack with absolute precision.
It all stopped, their blades met and they took a breather.
"If you're alone, I suggest you leave, Senpai. It would be unfortunate if I had to kill you. Who else could train Sasuke?" Her sharingan looked so piercing like she was looking into his soul.
Alluring and crazy…that was all he could say about her.
"It almost sounds like you care for him."
"Hm." but that was the only reply he got before she softly said "Katon: Gōkakyū no—"
Shit!
The air sparked and Kakashi had to force himself out of harm's way, the ball of flames hurled past him, going outwards past the limits of the village and out of anyone's way.
Everything in its path was singed, but Itachi had been surprisingly aware to not throw her attacks at any civilians.
He didn't understand her….he never did.
Before shuriken bulleted his way and had he not been blocked with the swing of his weapon, they would have hit him directly in the throat.
Kakashi then forced chakra to his hand, the sound of a thousand birds was music to his ears and with the chidori Kakashi awaited Itachi's attack and when she did with her kunai drawn and ready to be embedded into his skin, Kakashi threw his attack like a jab, forcing the kunoichi to duck and then tackle Kakashi.
Crash!
The two hit the ground.
Oof!
Dust and sand went everywhere and he rolled with her a bit.
When the dust cleared Kakashi was ready to finish the job and eliminate his former friend and teammate—well that was until he found himself in the most unfortunate situation—
His hand, the placement of his palm, had found its way to Itachi's breast—somehow Kakashi had ended up straddling her with her robe out and almost unbuttoned.
Kakashi understood they were enemies and he had to kill her, but the embarrassment and shame—
"You've evolved from just Jiraiya-sama's books to actually touching a woman."
Was that her attempt at a joke?
What? Itachi didn't joke—at least not that he remembered.
"No, it's not like that in the slightest" Kakashi gave the best eye curl he could "We were fighting—"
"Your hand's still on me." she reminded him and Kakashi actively pushed himself to his feet allowing her to stand.
"Just know…it was an accident. I'm not like that, even towards my enemies." he kept his voice even.
She looked at him and for a moment her impassive face almost looked like it held an amused grin "Hm. Accidents happen."
Right!
But there was something else on his mind, something that became obvious since the beginning of the fight.
He let the silence sit for a moment, both shinobi staring each other down with flames in their eyes.
"I can't figure you out. You could kill me, that much I know and can see. But you haven't… So why? It can't be because you want me to train Sasuke. This can't be some sort of sick game to you!"
"It's simple. I don't want you to die. Mull over that as long as you want."
"But why? You were ruthless to your own kin, why—"
But the copy ninja never finished his statement, because in one swift motion Itachi lifted off his anbu mask and planted her own lips on his so fast.
See, Kakashi was just as confused as anyone else would be.
On one…he had this very beautiful woman planting her lips on his and it was magical.
His body shivered and his skin felt chilled.
On the other hand, this same girl was a cold-hearted murdering criminal with the blood of her entire clan on her hands.
And that fact ate away at him.
She finished and after finishing the girl inhaled deeply and said "Senpai I've had a deep feeling for you for a long time. I've never had such—emotions for anyone else and now that I'm older—only now that I no longer have much to lose, I'm brave enough to tell you it all. So while I'm still on this Earth, I needed you to hear these words—I don't care if you understand."
At first, Kakashi couldn't register what happened.
Then when he finally registered what happened he didn't believe it.
They had always been cordial and friends—and it was most certainly a pleasure to have someone so wise and yet so young at his side.
But how or why would that even made sense?
Kakashi put his hands together "Kai!"
"There is no deception, Senpai."
"Then what game are you getting at her, Itachi?"
"This is no game, I simply wished to confess, while I still had the chance. However, if it's a genjutsu you want…"
Shit!
In seconds his entire vision shifted and turned, swirling even. Before everything faded to darkness before coming back.
Itachi was gone and so was the blue sky, replaced with a deep heated orange glow, Kakashi looked upwards only to watch an enormous meteorite hurtling down towards him.
He went to move, but his body didn't respond….
But before it hit, he woke up on his feet, the sun still blaring down on his back and the kunoichi nowhere to be found.
The sunbeams and the air was arid.
Kakashi touched his lips.
And exhaled air through his teeth.
"What was that?"
Surely it was a trick.
The games of a sick and twisted girl, responsible for murdering her own clan.
The anbu captain decided to return to his team and continue the mission that at that point didn't really seem all that important…
Kakashi still needed to get stronger, if he ever wanted to capture her.
A/N: Maybe this will be multi-chapter, maybe it won't. Depends on if you like it or not, though my first fic takes priority.
