When Peter became Spider-Man, there were only 3 people he told. Uncle Ben, Aunt May and Ned. He lost Ben because he didn't do anything to stop the robber, he could have done something to stop the robber. He should have done something to stop the robber (No Peter, don't think like that =.

When Ben died, May was broken for a time, and in that time Peter vowed to never let what happened to Ben happen to someone else when he could stop it.

Ned was his biggest supporter. Although the boy knew that Peter was eventually going to tire himself out, he also knew that his best friend needed this, a way to make up for something that he saw as his own fault, even in it wasn't.

Because Ned was there for Peter when he needed him, the two went from best friends to an inseparable duo. They told each other everything (well Peter would tell Ned a watered down version of his patrols.)

If something ever went wrong, Ned was the first person Peter went to. That would explain why the teen could be found one Friday evening, out in the rain, soaking wet, on the Leeds doorstep.

"Come on, come on!" Peter muttered under his breath, punching the doorbell for the sixth time in the space of ten seconds.

The door opened slowly, revealing a rather flustered Ned Leeds, who, as soon as caught a look at his friend, immediately turned worried.

"Peter?"

"Hey Ned." He waved awkwardly.

"What are you doing here? It's pouring!" The boy then looked his friend up and down, and his eyes comically widened, "and WHAT are you doing wearing the suit?!"

Shuffling his feet awkwardly, Peter cleared his throat before speaking, "Well, I-uh, I kinda sorta gotshotatandifdadfindsouthe'llkillmeandi'mtoyoungtodie."

The Filipino blinked, because how else is he supposed to react to his friends rambling? "Peter, you need to slow down!"

"I umm, I got shot on patrol, and I can't tell dad because he'll panic, then I'll panic, then everyone will lose their sh*ts and that isn't good, so...and you also have the back-ups back up med kit."

It took a while for Ned to digest what he had just been told but when he did, something stood out very clearly to him. "Dude! Why do you need the back-ups back up?"

"I might have used up the last of the med kit, then lost the back up?"

"Are you asking me or telling me?"

"Telling you?"

Ned sighed before ushering Peter in. "What would you have done if one of my mom's had answered the door? Lucky for you they aren't in by the way, it's date night."

Peter rubbed the back of his neck self-consciously, a manner he had picked up from Tony, "I hadn't thought that far ahead. Tell them there's a Spider-Man look a like contest?"

Looking at his friend dubiously, Ned shook his head and led Peter into his room. As the soaking boy went for a towel to dry off, Ned went into his bathroom and grabbed the med kit saved for just these kinds of occasions.

Walking back into his room, Peter looked a lot dryer, and in the light Ned could make out the darker stain on his friends red clothing. Furrowing his eyes Ned quickly got to work, armed with a med kit, the measly lessons of first aid they were taught at school and his knowledge from YouTube (the all-powerful.)

Luckily the bullet had gone straight through so he only needed to clean, stitch and wrap both wounds.

Peter changed into his normal clothes (he had his back pack with him and miraculously it wasn't soaking wet) then the two boys quickly got carried away with Ned's new Star Wars themed Lego build, and the two almost completely forgot about the reason Peter was there to begin with.

A few hours later, Peter felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. He took out his phone and answered the call without looking at the I.D.

"Hello-" Before he could continue, he was cut off by a familiar and worried voice.

"PETER BENJAMIN PARKER-STARK!"

Cr*p. Full name. Not good.

"Oh, hey dad." At that Ned looked up, then at his alarm and his jaw hit the ground when he realized how late it was.

"Don't you 'oh hey dad' me Mr. Do you have any idea what time it is?"

Looking down at his watch, Peters eyes bugged at seeing the little hand nearly touching the 1am.

"Uh, late?"

He heard Tony scoff on the other end.

"Late? Pete, it's nearly 1am. We had a deal kid, patrol doesn't go past 12, and if it does you let me know."

Looking truly berated, Peter offered his apology.

"Yeah, yeah kid. You know I can't stay mad at you. Just get back here as fast as possible and I won't tell May."

Rushing out his thanks, Peter hung up the phone and hastily said his goodbyes and thankyou's to Ned before grabbing his bag and practically sprinting out the door, which he quickly regretted when his side twanged with pain, reminding him of his stitched up wound.

After that he carefully but briskly made his way back to the tower (he only stopped twice on the way to pet the dogs he passed, (not many being out at this time.)) He arrived back at the tower at 1:23 according to his watch, which wasn't to bad.

Entering the living room, he dropped his bag by the couch before going on his hunt to find his father.

He found Tony in the lab (of course), and as soon as he entered was greeted by his dad.

"So, want to tell me why you were so late?" Tony questioned.

"I went over to Ned's place cause his mom's have date night, so we built his new Lego millennium falcon, it has 7541 pieces by the way, and we got carried away."

Giving him his unimpressed dad stare, Tony shook his head before leading the rambling spider-kid up to his room. Once Peter was seated on his bed, Tony looked him over before asking, "Are you going to tell me why you cut patrol short?"

Playing with his fingers, Peter refused to look at his father, knowing if he did he wouldn't be able to keep anything hidden.

Tony cleared is throat and Peter made the mistake of looking into his fathers eyes.

"Ikindagotshot." He mumbled under his breathe.

"Kid your gonna need to speak up, I'm not old but I certainly don't have any super-hearing like you."

"I got shot. I'm fine though! Ned helped me out!" He hurriedly explained, seeing his dad begin to panic.

"Pete, bud, you need to tell me these things. Remember last time you avoided telling me and you nearly lost an arm! Jeez kid, you can't keep doing this. Were you ever going to tell me?"

Peter didn't need to answer, Tony could see just by looking at his son that if he hadn't asked he wouldn't have been hearing about the injury any time soon.

Shaking his head, the elder stood up and motioned for Peter to show him his side. Peter obliged, removing his shirt and carefully taking off the bandage to reveal a semi-healed wound. After mindful check, Tony deemed the injury to be on the right tracks and let the kid bandage it back up.

Once Peter was under his covers, Tony placed a kiss to his son's curly hair. "I love you 3000." Muttering a response, Peter was out like a light before Tony had even turned around. The man allowed himself a quiet chuckle before turning and walking out the room, closing the door behind him.

The kid was giving him grey hairs, but Tony knew that that kid meant the world to him, and he swore to himself that he would always be there for his bambino, just how he wished Howard had been for him.

A/N: Hi guys. So, this chapter is a little shorter, sorry about that but I'm honestly exhausted and chose to do this instead of Physics homework, we love procrastination! Anyway, I've got writers block at the moment, I know some chapters I want to wright, the classic field trip trope, possibly something happens at school, but I don't want to do those just yet, I want to save reveals and such for later chapters. So, I'm stuck.

If any of you have any suggestions, they would be really appreciated =)

See you guys next time, byeeee =D
