Later, the little group caught up in time to see the battle had already Saurians' warship has begun firing down onto the squadron below.

"Get out of range!"

At Canard's command, the soldiers ran about and ducked for cover. But in the process, five of them were caught up in the shots. No one was killed, but they had wounds in need of tending to.

"You two! Protect the wounded!" The captain ordered Clapper and Danielle. Instantly, the pair of medics raced out into the warzone.

"Okay Angelwing,' Danielle whispered to herself. 'Get a grip, get a grip…"As Danielle helped up a soldier, more shots came down from the warship!

"Angelwing, heads up!" Clapper called out to her. Before she could panic, she activated her ice shield and held it up just in time. Once that soldier was safe, she ran back for the other one. When she got to the remaining soldier, she hoisted the female duck with her legs, helping her toward cover. Once they were back to safety, the Puck Canon battalion lined up and loaded their weapons.

"Fire!" Thom ordered and all at once, tanks and puck canons shot off at the aircraft! The flaming pucks hit the targets.

The loud, resounding booms hurt Danielle's ears. She almost covered them with her hands, but a painful shift from one male soldier stopped her. Retaining her focus, the orange haired female got to work.

"Where does it hurt?!" Danielle didn't like shouting, but with all the pandemonium about, she had to yell tomake herself heard.

"It's my leg!" He shouted back over the booming of explosions.

At once, she got right to the problem. Tending to a gash in the soldier's leg. Danielle worked hard on everyone of the wounded ducks. But once in a while, she'd tense up at the noise. Tempted to covering her ears. Until she had to remind herself, to focus on helping these ducks.

"Pull yourself together, Angelwing." She thought. 'Ignore the explosions."

Danielle was so focused on her work, she barely noticed the saurian warship passing over them. It was changing course, right into the wastelands. Once the bow had passed, there was the middle. And towards the stern, was a generator for the rear turbines. This was it! Thom looked at Canard.

"Alright Captain, it's right over the marker. Target insight and within missile range!"

"Good.' Canard replied. 'Give the order Lieutenant!"

"Yes, Sir! Shoulder launchers ducks!' Barked Thom. All at once, the soldiers got into positions and loaded the tanks. And medics made sure to stay clear of any debris. Then Thom, his brother, the female sniper, and the captain readied their shoulder missile launchers. 'Fire!"

All at once, with loud resounding "BOOMS!" Puck cannons and tanks shot off at the warship. All aimed at the generator. Any shielding the generator had was damaged by the missiles, and the generator itself was destroyed by the tanks. And then, one by one, the turbines exploded. Without the turbines, the ship had no stability. It went down bow first. And once it hit the ground, the warship imploded. The ducks watched in silence. Then Canard turned to his comrades.

"Mission accomplished!"

Everyone cheered, and exchanged high wings. The leading ducks left their post to join the medics. Canard spotted Danielle wrapping gauze around a soldiers arm. His gaze was cut short when Thom stepped forward, causing Danielle and Clapper to look at him."Mission accomplished guys,' Thom nodded at the two ducks. 'Pack it up, and let's get these guys home."

"Yes, Sir." Clapper replied. Danielle noticed Canard looking at her. She smiled at him, shyly."Nice job back there Angelwing." He said.

"Thanks." Danielle replied quietly.

"How are you doing, soldier?" Canard asked Danielle's patient, taking the initiative to help the soldier back to his feet. He accepted the support but still saluted his superior officer.
"Better, thank you sir," he responded, favoring his arm. When he turned to Danielle he nodded. "All thanks to this amazing medic."

Danielle didn't say anything. She just looked away, with her hair hiding her face. But she and the captain helped the soldier to the exit. Once he was with another soldier. Canard asked Danielle. "Are you okay? After all that noise?"

"Well,' she replied. 'It was really loud. But I should get used to this sort of thing."

He smiled, though there was a hint of sadness to it. "You don't ever get used to it, honestly." He looked up into the darkening sky. "You just learn to hide it better."

"Oh." Was all Danielle could say. Then she looked at Canard in thought. He was going through so much to free the planet from the saurians. And he had been doing it for so long. If what he said was true, then he must be hiding a lot of discomfort. And he must be tired of having to do this...But now that things have quieted down, this maybe a good time to tell him about Wildwing. That'll cheer him up.

"Captain-' She was caught off by a loud sound coming from outside. It sounded like a Puck Cannon going off. 'What was that?"

"Wait here." Canard told her, seriously. And he dashed outside to see what the noise was. But what he saw made him stop in shock. There was a fire. A huge one! And it was dangerously close to a building.
