"Stewie!" Lois yelled. "What are you doin' with her?"
Stewie grinned evilly. "Well, I work for Queen Jadis now. She's promised to let me rule Narnia alongside her, as long as I help her destroy you! Victory shall be mine!"
"You don't really believe her, do you?" Peter cried. "She's an evil witch! We're your family, Stewie!"
Stewie laughed, sounding just like Jadis. "Ha! Some family! You wouldn't even give me ice cream! Jadis, on the other hand, gives me Turkish Delight whenever I want it."
"Well, that stuff's okay, but nothing to get worked up about," Chris muttered.
Brian looked sadly up into Stewie's eyes. "Come on, Stewie. Don't you remember me? Your best friend Brian? I know the witch has you under some spell, but the real you has got to be in there somewhere underneath it all."
Stewie scowled at Brian. "Don't even talk to me. I hate you most of all. You abandoned me here in Narnia."
Brian protested, "But I only left you behind so I could come back and get the rest of the family to help save you!"
"I haven't done anything to enchant your friend," the White Witch told Brian. "He's following me of his own free will. Now, enough talk. Get them, Stewie!"
Stewie took a pouch of the monster dust out of his pocket and sprinkled a handful of it onto the nearby Stone Table. The Stone Table began to glow magically as it grew in size and sprouted legs and arms, and an ugly face. Stewie and the witch laughed maliciously as the monster became complete.
Seeing what was happening to the Table, Aslan growled, "How dare you desecrate this sacred site so?"
But now the Table had fully transformed into an enormous stone giant, and it was charging at the Griffins. When it reached Meg and Chris, it lifted them into the air in its huge hands.
"AAAAAA!" Meg and Chris screamed.
"Holy crap!" yelled Peter.
Lois's eyes were blazing. "Get your hands off my babies!"
She and Peter ran at the monster, but it simply opened its mouth and roared at them. When its mouth opened, two big boulders came flying out and Peter and Lois barely managed to throw themselves to the ground and dodge them.
"Ah, man, that thing can shoot rocks out of its mouth?" Brian complained. "That's not fair."
"Fair?" Stewie cackled. "Was it fair when you left me behind?"
But as he said this, he suddenly felt a tug on his leg. Meg had managed to twist out of the monster's grip, and she had made a flying leap for Stewie. Now the two of them were floating in the air, with Meg hanging onto Stewie's leg.
"What the hell are you doing?" Stewie demanded. He started pummeling Meg's head with his tiny fists, trying to make her let go of him. "You're going to make us both fall!"
"I'll take care of her for you," the White Witch said. She raised her wand and pointed it at Meg.
"No, don't!" Stewie shouted. "You might hit me instead!"
But now Meg and Stewie were directly above the monster's head, and it was opening its mouth again. "Now look what you've done!" Stewie screamed at Meg. "He's going to shoot us!"
"Serves you right for making that thing in the first place," said Meg.
But when the monster fired the boulder up at Meg and Stewie, it didn't go high enough to reach them. Instead, it fell back down and smacked the monster in the face. The monster smashed into many small fragments, leaving nothing but a pile of ordinary rocks.
Right then, Meg lost her grip on Stewie's leg and fell back down to the ground. But Peter had gotten back to his feet by now and he was able to catch her in his arms. "You all right, Meg?"
"Yeah," said Meg.
"What about you, Chris?" Lois asked.
Chris was lying atop the heap of rubble that had been the monster. He gave a weak thumbs-up. "Think so."
Up in the air, the witch screamed in fury. "Well, you may have beaten us this time, but you won't next time!" And with that, she and Stewie vanished. The storm disappeared along with them, leaving the Griffins and Aslan's army standing in the ruins of the campground.
"Wow, I gotta admit, that was pretty smart of ya, Meg, makin' the monster destroy itself like that!" said Peter.
"Thanks," said Meg. She was thrilled that her father was actually complimenting her.
Brian approached Aslan. "This is all my fault, isn't it? I should have stayed and tried to rescue Stewie myself instead of going back for the others. If I had, would things have worked out better?"
"My child," said Aslan, "No one is ever told what would have happened. But I can tell you what will happen now. If you obey my instructions, there is a way we can defeat the witch, and save your friend."
"I'll do anything," Brian vowed. "What is it you want?"
"The witch is not a native of Narnia," Aslan told the Griffins. "She came here from another world, just as you did."
Peter scratched his head. "So, you're sayin' the witch is from our world?"
"No," said Aslan. "She's from another world entirely. There are more than just two worlds, you know. She comes from a world known as Charn. It's a very evil place, yet there is a magical artifact there that can bring an end to Jadis's reign once and for all. It's called the Rainbow Stone. It looks like an ordinary rock, except that it is striped with all the colors of the rainbow. I need two of you to journey to Charn, find the Rainbow Stone and bring it back here to me. I would go myself, but I need to stay in Narnia to lead the fight against the White Witch."
"I'll go," said Brian.
"Me too," said Lois. "Anything for my Stewie."
"What about the rest of us?" Peter asked. "Can I join your army and help fight the witch?"
"Certainly," said Aslan. "Every pair of willing hands is an asset." Peter wanted to giggle because the lion had said "asset," which had the word "ass" in it, but something inside restrained him.
"I want to join too!" said Meg.
"Me too!" said Chris.
"Oh, no," Lois said quickly. "You two are much too young to be fightin' in wars."
"Mom, that's not fair!" said Meg. "I wanna help!"
"Yeah," said Chris. "Why can't we fight? Stewie's fighting on the other side and he's younger than us!"
Lois considered this. "All right," she said. "You can join Aslan's army along with Pee-tah. But try to be careful."
