Nezuko felt like she had a burning throat. Cramping legs. Rolling with sweat. Hammering the heart like crazy. "He's fast! Just how old is he? And like earlier i'm not hearing any footstep at all!"

She could already say this was going to be tough. Her determination to face this trial until she bled may not be just her jokingly saying and may soon enough turn into fact. "Ni-Chan, Hang on there. Please be patient!" Nezuko said increasing her speed. "Even though its not your specialty" She giggled.

Nezuko POV

Ever since father passed away. Your always there for us Working from morning to dawn. You won't sleep until you finish every house chores that is available even if mother ask you to. Chopping woods and burning it to produce charcoals that you will sell later. You don't even have time to rest. When we can't sell charcoals, you do fishing, hunting , Anything. You always want to make sure that we always had our fill even if you get hungry at the end.

Your too kind for you own good brother. It's hard right? Even i don't know if i could do what you could. Your much stronger than me. I know that your in pain. Even if you disguised it with you warm smile. I know that your suffering. You always put other before yourself.

You know, i'm always scared that one day we will lose you too. That's why i always help you. I want to do the things that you always did. Day by day you always stopped me.I know why. You don't want us to feel what you always feel. You always want to hide it. You always want to carry all the burden alone.

That's why... I will do my best to not be a burden to you brother. From now on i will do my best to save you. I will find the cure and make you a human again. I won't let you feel the pain and suffering alone. I'm here, i will be with you.I will stay with you. I will help you even if you don't want me to. Ni-chan...Everything you do, I'll be there to help along the way!

End of Nezuko's POV

They finally arrive at the wooden house located in the middle of the forest, "N-now have i past?" Nezuko ask while catching his breath.She mostly wanting to vomit pretty much right then and there. She wanted this run to be the test that Sakonji wanted her to pass. She realized, morbidly, that it wasn't, though. It's not the first exam at all, either. The next moment, after the basket containing Tanjiro had been dropped inside the home, the old man took her to the top of a mountain.

"Don't worry. I'will make sure to take care of your brother for you" Urokodaki said. "I'm exhausted. my leg is starting to buckle" She said as she stopped seeing Urokodaki standing in front of her as the old man turn to her and said "Now you must descend at the house at the foot of the mountain. This time, I will not wait until sunrise or else you won't be my apprentice." He suddenly vanish in the fog without a trace.

Nezuko is annoyed. After bringing her all the way here, he just leave saying that if she didn't reach the house before sun rise then he would her out. "That..jerk! jerk!" She spat

"Wait, really, is that all? Did he really think that i would lose here? I can just follow his scent" she said as she look around the sorounding and notice the fog and the thick atmostphere. "it's hard to breath!" She thought

"I get it. He think I'll get lost in this thick fog. I just have to get back before sunrise. That's easy! I've a sharp nose! I've already memorized Urokodaki's scent" She said as she stopped her track. "No, Nezuko! Think first before you act. Your not your brother."

She knew she could only follow the trail of fog of Sakonji-it was blue. Even with all the fog, it was really distinct, transparent, refreshingly blue, like an ocean, but she had this bad feeling that was not the case. In this forest, something was certainly happening. "good thing im patient"

Nezuko took her first step when suddenly she was tripped by the string on her foot and made her stumble on the ground "Ouch! I didn't notice that something was there" she stand only get hitten by some rocks directly on her body which was very hurt especially for a girl. "Rocks?" She thought as she step back and suddenly fall into the pitfall covered with dead leaves. "That jerk!" She thought..

"I get it! These are all traps. That's the challenge! Ok, here we go again! if i can't avoid the trap then i will run" As she climb the pitfall, but felt a thin line on her hand. Suddenly a large log tied on a rope swung toward her back as she stumple in front and think. "This is harder than i expected" She thought as she temporarily rest and think on what would she do next.

"This is bad, this is bad. If i keep walking on traps like this then i would be dead in not time!" She panicked. "And more importantly, i won't make it down the mountain beofre sunrise. I need to hurry! And beside this mountain...has a very thin air." She thought

She steadied herself and breathed deeply. Uh. Wonder. The trap Sakonji has set must have his color. They may be inanimate objects, but the color must have lingered when they were struck by a living person. "Calm down! Get your breathing under control!"She opened her eyes and concentrated. The scent of the traps started to be smelled by her.

She look around her surroundings and quickly descend the moutain again. This time she will be able to avoid the traps that someone set up. "That's right. Traps that was set by human hand have a different smell" she thought as she suddenly step into another trap and get swing by a bamboo making her crash on the ground.

"It's hurt. It's not as easy as i think. I'm not strong nor athletic enough like my brother. I can't dodge everyone of them. I guess this was all i could do." She thought as she lay down on the ground. "If i and my brother change place. Ni-chan will do his best for me. What am i doing. I'm useless. It's hard to be like ni-chan. I admire him. I wanna be like him. even thought i know that was impossible. we have our own uniqueness. still that does not mean that i can't try" She thought as she got up.

"This time...Ni-chan. I won't give up!"

Sakonji, who was using a chopstick to stir the hotpot, stopped moving. He watched the demon brother cradle his belly, looking longingly at the cooking pan. Under the mask, his eyebrows raised. And, chasing away the ludicrous idea, but not ridiculous enough to dismiss it, he said attentively, "Are you...hungry?"

"Maybe yes, maybe no. I odn't know" He said looking at the pot carefuly. Urokodaki get anither bowl and give some food to him. "Try it. I'm impressed that you still have your human side. so, i guess you can eat human food too. i'm not saying it will work since Demon needs blood and energy for energy." He said as the demon nodded and get the bowl with desperation.

Sakonji observed in amazement "Impossible" was all he could thought.Showing the normal fangs possessed by their kind, and continuing to seriously gulp the food. He could see the flush on his cheek, his eyes closed and his mouth quirked upward, a sign that he certainly enjoyed the good food. To complement the obvious bliss, he even let out an appreciative hum.

"Impressive. This is the first time that i see a demon that can still eat human food." he thought.The proof was right there, as Tanjirou finished the first bowl in minutes and asked for a second.

"This demon is really-" His words was cut of when the door opened. revealing an injured little women. "Nezuko!" Tanjiro said as he hurriedly run to his sister but was stopped when he felt a hot sensation on his body. He's is burnin. "Ni-chan!" Nezuko yelled but she doesn't had the strength to stand and push his brother away. Good thing that Urokodaki pushes tanjiro on the dark area of the house making the burning stop.

"What are you thinking. Do you want to die?" Urokodaki said not looking at tanjiro. He is busy helping Nezuko who is exhausted on the ground. "I can't believe you will save me" Tanjiro said making the old man get annoyed.

"Shut up. i can see something in you. You still don't hurt humans so i won't kill you" He said bringing Nezuko inside. "So...you will wait until i kill someone"Tanjiro asked. "Then, do you want me to kill you right here?" Urokodaki asked. "Wait, i'm just kidding" the demon replied.

"I...made it back. D..did i pass?" Nezuko asked still exhausted. "Giyu, you may be right. there is something different from this two" He thought as he uses the first aid kit on Nezuko.

"Kamado Nezuko. I accept you as my student."

Timeskip Night time.

Tanjiro is busy staring at the beautiful night sky watching the stars when suddenly. "Can we talk?" Urokodaki said as he sat down on tanjiro's side. "Sure what is it" He replied.

"I can smell a scent in you. A different one. a demon. Did you met a demon before?" Urokodaki asked as tanjiro looked at him and replied "yes, in our home. a demon attack me while i'm carrying Nezuko down the mountain and i killed it,"

"It's hard to believe that." Urokodaki said.

"Why?" Tanjiro asked.

"This scent is much stronger. A stronger demon. It's hard to believe that you killed it like that. I can't still believe you." He said standing up and walking away.

"Believe me or not. I'm saying the truth" The demon said but Urokodaki knows that he is lying. "I doubt so" he said as he vanish in the air. "He is getting suspicious. You need to be careful" A taller man with six eyes said. he suddenly emerge from the dark.

"Are you ready?" Kokushibo asked smiling at his apprentice.

"Yes, Train me, Master" Tanjiro said as a wooden door emerge in front of them as they both walk inside. Little did they know, A man was watching them.
