So, it seems with each passing cinematic that we get from Blizzard gives more hope, and yet more confusion into the whole Anduin and Sylvanas tale. However, I personally can see some interesting tension floating between the words and glances made by the two characters. Also, I love interracial romance. I'm in an interracial marriage, and everything I write is geared towards this. So, my bias support for Sylvanas and Anduin was already there I guess. So I decided to find out if there was a community who supports Sylvanas x Anduin.

Much to my surprise, there was! And, frankly, I wanted to read some stories about these two very interesting, very different characters. So, start reading is exactly what I did. Those stories, and some certain songs that I have been listening to practically on repeat are what help inspire this story that you will hopefully enjoy.

Sylvanas and Anduin couldn't, honestly, be further apart. You have Anduin, the High King of the Alliance, King of Stormwind, and Paladin who follows the Light and certainly takes a more "means justify the ends" type of approach. His morality is towards all races on Azeroth, and he hopes that one day there will be peace. Oh, did I mention he was Alliance and a Human at that? Then you have Sylvanas, the Banshee Queen, former Warchief of the Horde, Queen of the Forsaken, Former Ranger General, and now the most wanted person in all of Azeroth. Plus, for added measure, she's a former elf and current undead. Because, why not?

So, pairing these two up in an interesting, but realistic and logical way, was really difficult to imagine. However, I feel as though I have been able to see a path forward for them, through the current environment. This is exactly why I wanted to have this introduction, which will kind of also act like a shout-out for certain authors as well as a warning to potential readers.

So, let's start off with the Shout-outs that I wanted to thank for given me some clarity into further potential personality traits with characters who I do not know that well. I haven't played WoW since the beginning of Cataclysm, and so I am writing this purely from an outside perspective after conducting the research that I have. Their stories have helped fill in gaps that would have otherwise been impossible.

First, I wanted to give a shout-out to Seryon, the author of Bitter Enemies. I found this story to be incredibly interesting, and I enjoyed the pace. This story helped me better picture how Sylvanas might act if she were to be more...open about her love for Anduin. The story also gives me some interesting plot ideas that I felt worked rather well with the character.

Second, I wanted to give a shout-out to Jojo1112, the author of When Two Worlds Collide. This story was very telling about the potential political fall-out about the relationship between Sylvanas and Anduin. This helped further flesh out the Azeroth political climate inside my own head. It also gave me alot of insight into Sylvanas as she is while still being undead.

Finally, the songs that I wanted to say helped inspire this writing: FFDP "When the Seasons Change", BB "Give me a Sign", Ashes Remain "Without You", Red "Not Alone", Evanescence "Haunted" | "My Immortal" | "My Last Breath", and Flyleaf "All Around Me".

Now that the shout-outs are out of the way, I wanted to give some warnings to any potential reader. I hope that, even after these warnings, you will continue to read through my stories and support me.

Warning #1 : This story will not follow canon, nor will it follow whatever happens with the official WoW story after the cinematic for 9.1. This story is taking place pretty much RIGHT AFTER the ending of the cinematic trailer for patch 9.1, and will be diverging from the WoW canon at that moment.

Warning #2 : This story would be best classified as a "slow burn" sort of story. I want to try and write a reasonable and logical way that Sylvanas and Anduin get together. Therefore, if you are expecting something like Sylvanas immediately jumping into bed with Anduin chapter 1 or 2, you will be disappointed by my story. My story will flesh things out, and make things more...realistic. Well, as realistic as you can get while staying in the fantasy WoW universe.

Warning #3 : My story, as of the moment writing this introduction, is long. I have fleshed out 4 different story archs and am in the process of fleshing out a 5th. These story archs will not be short, so make sure you settle in for a long ride. Therefore, each chapter will be labeled in something similar to the following; A1C1, which stands for Arch 1 Chapter 1.

Warning #4 : This work will utilize Original Characters in order for this story to progress. I will be using mostly in-game characters such as Sylvanas, Anduin, Jaina, Valeera, etc, but I have created some characters that will be introduced later on in the story. These characters will change WoW lore, so just keep that in mind.

So, now that I have given my shout-outs, and also given my warnings, there's not much left to say before giving you guys chapter 1.
