Here's the next chapter.
John and Natalya were warming up together in the dressing room for their mixed tag team match against AJ Lee and Zack Ryder.
Both wrestlers couldn't help but take glaces at each other and smile.
"How are you feeling right now?" he asked.
"To be honest, I'm a little nervous." Natalya replied.
"How come?"
"It's just I never thought I'd be teaming up with you."
John walked over to her and put a hand on her shoulder. "You're gonna do good. I've watched your matches. You're amazing in the ring."
Natalya couldn't help but blush a little.
"Between you and me I'm actually a little nervous too. I'm teaming up with the niece of a WWE Legend." he said. She smiled.
A knock on the door, and a backstage producer let them know their match was in 20 minutes.
"Let me text Beth real quick and then we'll go." Natalya replied before taking out her phone.
N: John and I are heading out. Wish me luck.
Beth immediately replied back
B: I will definitely wish the both of you luck.
The match itself was pretty entertaining. John had Zack locked in the STF, and when AJ tried to go after John Natalya quickly tackled her and locked in the Sharpshooter, and both Zack and AJ tapped out.
Both John and Natalya hugged in the middle of the ring. He raise her arm, and the crowd began chanting both their names.
Later that night
"You were amazing out there." Natalya said as they drove.
"Well I did have an amazing partner to help me out." He complimented.
"Well it was an honor and a pleasure to be teaming up with the Face of WWE."
They stopped by at a Motel 8.
The went inside.
"Are there any rooms available?" John asked the manager, a woman named Jill.
''There's only one available."
Both John and Natalya looked disappointed.
"You can have the room. I'll find another hotel that might have a room available."
She immediately grabbed his hand. "No. It's okay. We can share it." she offered.
John was taken aback. "You sure?" he asked.
She smiled. "I'm sure. We can split the rent."
"Okay."
After paying the manager they went to the vacant room.
She held his hand the entire time. She didn't know why she held it, but it felt right. He didn't seem to mind.
"I'm going to take a shower real quick." John said.
"Okay. I'll wait."
Natalya took out her phone and called Beth.
"Hey Nattie. So how did the match go?" Beth asked.
"It was pretty fun. We both won."
"That's great. So where are you two at right now?"
"We're staying at a Motel 8."
"Oooh. You two having fun?" Beth teased.
"No. He's showering right now."
"Wait. You're sharing a room together? Kinky!"
"No. It was the only room they had vacant."
"Still. It's nice to know you're both hanging out together."
They talked for little more before John came out wearing nothing but a towel.
Natalya sat there speechless.
"Sorry. I forgot my sleep clothes." He said before he immediately went and grabbed his duffle bag and went back in the bathroom.
"Nattie? You still there?" Beth wondered.
"Uh yeah. Sorry." Natalya said to Beth.
"What happened?"
"It was nothing."
"It sure didn't sound like nothing." Beth replied, sounding suspicious.
Natalya then faked a yawn. "It's getting late. I better go. Talk to you later." she said before hanging up.
Her cheeks heating up and her heart pounding. She's seen John's bare chest and stomach on tv when's he's wrestling, but seeing him almost naked all wet up close, all wet, she couldn't help but be a little attracted to him.
This was something she had never felt towards Tyson. He wasn't hot, but that didn't matter to her.
She tried not to think about Tyson anymore.
John suddenly came back out of the bathroom wearing a t shirt and shorts.
Natalya went into the bathroom and showered. As she was drying herself off, she looked at her nude body in the mirror.
She started to wonder if John finds her sexy. She immediately shook that thought away and finished drying herself and quickly put on her sleep wear.
Both laid down on the bed. Thankfully it's just big enough for both of them.
Without thinking she reached out towards him and hugged him.
"Hey. What's the hug for? Not that I mind or anything." He hugged her back.
"I just wanted to thank you. For helping me get through my break up."
"It's no problem. I'm glad you're feeling better."
They held each for a long time. Neither of them wanting to let go. She felt good feeling his strong arms around her.
Eventually they pulled away from each other. Both of their hearts pounding.
John gave her a small smile. "Well. Goodnight."
She smiled back. "Yeah. Goodnight."
Let me know what you thought of this chapter.
