"Takamitsu, it's been too long buddy!" A figure appeared from thin air in front of Takamitsu, taking a humanistic form of him. Takamitsu looked around to find Tenten and Shigeko had vanished from view. "I hope you don't mind I'm a tad bit people shy. Having to keep track of personality traits for every individual I'm around is quite tiresome. So much so, I had to hire a few to help keep track for me. By the way, you can refer to me as 'Mashua' if you will. It fits the given nameplate and I speak on behalf of forty split workers of you in here."
"Wait, f-forty!?" Takamitsu exclaimed. "What's there to do with me being split into groups like this?"
"Well, it's more of, we specialize in different aspects of you, and some hold emotional baggage toward a select amount of people each. You do recall that we are keeping a dam's worth of secrets from them; be it the backstory, true name, bloodline traits, secret love crush and the such." Mas-
"Woah woah slow down… I have a what?" Tak-
"-But because we are so in tune with listening to yourself, the resentment never get's built up. I'd say you've had some awesome lucid dreams in your past." Mas-
"No back up to the secret love crush-" Tak-
"Fine, let me pull up a picture and spell it out for me…" Mas-
Takamitsu's expression went from mildly frustrated to coldly embarrassed. "Wait, but thats… How? Since when did I? And-"
"The Sake doesn't keep secrets well my friend. Unfortunately the guy who controlled the stick when under intoxication had a stickler for being the hopeless romantic." Mas-
"Why out of 40 of you does he get to control everything." Tak-
"He has the most tolerance from us in the system. And besides, I'm certain things can work out between you two. I mean, from the action you just viewed, she didn't initially slap you." Mas-
"Well, there's a thing called courtesy of intoxication." Tak
"And I get to fantasize about the potentials where you go and mess things up again. As you may not know, there's a real nice air to that kind of uncertainty in the mind. It's like doing pushups, but instead it's like mental gymnastics." Mas
"So you love stress?" Tak
"I love having potential choices and scenarios to think through. This jutsu you're in currently from that device is potentially linked directly to how your jutsu works. And what do we both know about the Kusakegro?" Mas
"It's that we get more time to react to a scenario." Tak
"Right, but more importantly, it's a self collaborative environment between the conscious and subconscious. And you, the conscious are my little friend with short term memory loss. Instinct is simply the subconscious saving you in dire situations. The Tadashi Clan has far exceeded tapping into the lucidity of its subconscious. The end result is you getting to use more of your brain than what everyone else uses." Mas
"So, you have the entirety of my intelligence stored from every passing moment you can recall from, why don't you simply take the stick?" Tak
"It is because I cannot create. You have the ability for spawning an idea from nothingness. I can only combine thoughts to make a concept line up. You however can create a concept, in which then I test and conclude the hypothesis on my own time. I have in the past, but you have studied up on the books a few years ago, and passed the trials to become who you currently are." Mas
"Since when could you have my intelligence but not my thought processes?" Tak
"That is a troubling question to answer. By the time I have gathered the information from the initial thought, the conscious encrypts its process involuntarily. I have studied for many years only to find that it is beyond me to internally ponder. It is that I… Am your internal thoughts." Mas
"Encrypted? Is there a way I can help with that?" Tak
"Remember how the consciousness has short term memory? By the time I process the concept given to me, the mind forgets how it perceived something from nothing." Mas
"But our experiences are influenced from things around me. Surely you could route ideas from things I've already seen and experienced?" Tak
"I am able to contain elements to a specific parameter, but I cannot create something new without you conceptualizing it first." Mas
"So how did I perceive you if I didn't know what to expect coming into this… zone? And I have memory of us talking from earlier. If I'm the conscious, why am I able to remember what we've talked about?" Tak
"I met your first expectation on what you thought was going to happen. And as your mind runs rampant with that reply, it in term grows me, and gives me options to perform different actions. As for your memory, you have already experienced this conversation, and your subconscious is relaying the information to your conscious memory. It is a mere cycle of you talking to yourself and wanting you to see why you can't experience the wisdom of your subconscious." Mas
"So, since I've already asked these questions-" Tak
"-Why don't I answer them before you? Well, you wouldn't have the need to think if I didn't let me generate a question. I would find it quite annoying to start all of your sentences for you. Though now that you identified the paradox on this run-through, I think we've reached new bounds replaying this concept of why you split yourself up. The thing is, you asked internally, "What if there's more than me," while I was created, and I thrown out a number to entice your mind, because you conceptualized it earlier…
And all this started when Shigeko warned you about what could go wrong in here." Mas
"So, you're only telling me what I know or what I want to hear? How do I know that you're me?" Tak
"No one else knows your name-" Mas
"But you could have accessed it without me knowing-" Tak
"But as I said earlier-" Mas
"I know what you know because we aren't a separate being as depicted." Tak
The being Takamitsu had debated with had a puzzled expression. Takamitsu held a hand out, and the being was warped into a swirl. The swirl then spiraled thinly to the center of his palm, and he felt ice run through his veins, up his arm, and into his mind.
"You have changed your perception, and now you realize you have unrestricted access to your previous experiences." Mashua, the separate being echoed in Takamitsu's head. "As you become self enlightened, you will soon be greeted by your other two friends. I see boxes and cabinets disorganized in your head. It may take me some time to tidy up the secret stuff, but I'll keep what I can locked and hidden from reach."
"So it looks kind of like this?" Takamitsu held his hands forward, and the walls folded outwards to reveal the inner workings of many filing cabinets. The outer background resembled the texture and folds of the human brain.
"Your mind thinking within a mind, and observing parts of your mind while another portion of your mind is organizing it… Glad you aren't overthinking this." Mashua spoke, as he was flipping through a cabinet that was labeled 'recent'. "And this was something that peaked your curiosity."
"It's like the thing you showed me earlier, but the room's all echoey and vertigo inducing." Tak
"That's because I took the time to interpret the piece of information. You'll notice with every read-through, it becomes easier to understand. It's like dusting off an old vinyl disk." Mas
"You're right… And you kept in mind when I thought to myself, 'I want to see the raw footage of the event.'" Takamitsu felt his mind clear up as minutes passed. He wasn't so shocked at the embodiment of this realm now that he understood that this was a physical representation of where he structures his thinking.
"Modesty is your best chance." Mashua grinned as he flipped through more files. "If you're thinking about her this much, it's best to be modest and not try to adapt to her likings."
"But of course we both know this, so why are you telling me?" Tak
"Because sometimes we doubt ourself, and we then go by our gut instinct." Mas
"I remembered you talking about not being able to create an independent idea. If that's so then how come you can have differing personalities?" Tak
"It is because you have once became the point of being in thinking a specific way. I have become a compartmentalization in your head, one of many rooms if I may add a metaphor. You are being summoned by the jutsu to return. We will talk later I'm sure of it."
And with that, Takamitsu was jolted downward and seemingly crashed headfirst into his physical form. From there he didn't feel hollow, and the warmth of his core returned to his senses.
"So what are your impressions?" Shigeko asked.
"It's a... fallacy?" Takamitsu thought to himself.
"Such a thing I never felt before. Complete access to the mind's past memories! A wealth of knowledge hidden beneath the subconscious!" Tenten was overjoyed in response.
"I expected a bit more… resistance?" Takamitsu replied.
"Well, that mainly depends on internal conflict ideals." Shigeko stood up and packed the device. "Not having conflict leads to a generally calmer encounter."
"Bullshit, I've been in anxiety since the move down to the Leaf Village!" Takamitsu bit his tongue as he portrayed his best poker face.
