"Sir, the report on the riverside cargo, there's been an ambush."

"An ambush? You can't possibly tell me a dozen Jonin couldn't handle a simple walk from A to B."

"The Copy Ninja Kakashi seemed responsible for their downfall."

"That low brow double crossing son of a-"

"Heifer?"

"Yes, I believe that is what they refer to the name of a female cow. Is that not right Takamitsu?" Lee has taken up to reading during the day rather than vigorously train.

"Since when did you become a bookworm Lee?" Takamitsu asked.

"I have come to learn that a weakness I posses lies not in my technical abilities, but in my mental abilities."

"So you finally learned the mantra 'Work smarter, not harder?'" Takamitsu chuckled.

"For when it comes to intelligence, I don't want to be the weakest link!"

"I think Guy Sensei has you beat there." Tenten rolled her eyes with a grin.

"Then I must beat Guy sensei!"

"Jesus Lee, No she meant-… On second thought, yes, beat Guy sensei Lee! Show that bushier brow what for him!" Takamitsu flashed a cheesy thumbs up similar to what his sensei does.

"Oh brother, I think we've all cracked…" Tenten sighed.

While Takamitsu continued a form of meditation by the usual river spot on a new day, Tenten kept her distance and was practicing her stealth techniques. It was an agreed objective to at some point disrupt his focus with a form of attack, of course, be it, nonlethal.

"Answer me this Tenten…" Takamitsu held like a stone figure with his eyes shut. "Do you feel any, different after that subconscious encounter?"

"Huh?" Tenten replied. "What are you talking about?"

"The thing with Shigeko." He Turned toward her.

"n...no? I don't know who or what this-"

"Wait- you mean to tell me you don't remember the…" As he stopped speaking, the sky above begun rippling.

"But Lee would never think his way into a battle! But Guy Sensei would never be negligent without a just cause. And we would be a lot more recessed and awkward after that… thing that I can now recall at the hotel! It all makes sense in that's what I wanted to happen. None of this is circumstanced to real life. They're all based on the best case scenario of my desired outcome!"

"Calm down Takamitsu. Now what have I done as a friend to you that would make you lash out all of a sudden?"

"Oh right, that's what the bitch who stuck me in a genjutsu would do! Find out why I figured a way out so the next victim wouldn't come to this sort of conclusion!" His flared temper compared to his chakra reserves spiking. He felt his true self in how his chakra was near absolute zero. His Kusakegro activated and everything background-wise scattered off to reveal a black void. Off to his left, he heard a slow and sarcastic clap.

"Bravo, bravo. Took you long enough with how many were picking at the wheel." The character revealed as his previous subconscious. "But tell me Mashua, does Tenten now know about who you really are?"

Instead of replying, he thrusted forward to slug his enemy. He felt a string on his back tug to slow his jump. His attack missed and he discharged what he held. He shuddered as he felt the chakra slide behind him and away. He saw a wince from his enemy.

"Ah, so you don't care what Tenten knows now. Aww, a romantic tale of being her knight in shining armor. Is that what you want?" Shigeko with the malformed looks of Mashua went into melee range with a kunai and Takamitsu could only block the blow from his vital organs. His right hand felt hot white as she stabbed between the middle and ring fingers. With an upward motion, Takamitsu tried dislodging the hand from the stab, and elbow the opponent's attacking forearm. He deflected a punch from the enemy's open hand and drove his palm to her inner elbow. The direct hit made an audible pop sound as it disconnected her elbow from the bone.

"Gah! And what if I told you that I can keep up with everything you're thinking about- no matter how much you divide your mental resources, I know what you truly think!" Shigeko scowled.

Just as he thought he was gaining the upper hand, she released a raised side kick which connected to his temple. He felt like a paddle ball as his flight was directed mainly from the string on his back. He bounced back and she followed a lariat. As she pulled a kunai for a stab to finish the job, Takamitsu twisted with the cord holstered in his hands for evasion, and she had mistakenly hit the apparatus on his back. Takamitsu used a lot of chakra for that single maneuver. His Kusakegro deactivated after what felt like a few minutes of him manipulating his body after the lariat.

Takamitsu couldn't hold a kunai in his right hand properly, and as he fumbled, she went in with another attack. He had no means of dodging. Chakra usage was out of the question, and he had no time to build static. He had to catch the weapon with is bad hand if he was to still make use of his other. Her attack was much less significant than anticipated, and Takamitsu grappled to throw her over him. He added torque and whipped her with the dislocated arm shoulder first into the ground.

All of the aura created by this character shrunk to her limp body. She returned to her original form, but her skin resembled the texture of broken glass- chakra burns and lacerations everywhere. His knees buckled, and his adrenaline subsided, clenching his hand as he layed on the turf a few feet away. He was greeted to the night sky in the middle of a forest. If this was a continuance of the genjutsu, Takamitsu would gladly surrender himself at this point. His head turned to the right, and he saw Tenten in a similar position, though a lot less battered and still standing. Her expression equated to his mind before he could think of muttering the words-

"Trust no one." As Tenten said this to Takamitsu, he had a crisp of panic bleed into his upper body, but he ceased to remain conscious shortly after.
