Percy Jackson was born on August 18, 1992. He definitely gave the doctors and his mother a shock when he was born with wings. You heard that right. As soon as he left the womb, majestic pearly white wings sprouted from his back. The doctors tried to cut them off. It didn't work as only blades forged in Heaven or Hell could wound him. So they just tried to do all the normal stuff, but they couldn't get his blood type. So they just put his mom's.
As Percy grew up, his mother Sally noticed weird things about him. He had a very good sense of justice and punishment. He could reveal any person's desires just by asking them. He just knew when deals were broken. Add in the fact that nothing could cut the kid, and he was ridiculously strong, Sally definitely thought that there was more to him than just being the son of Poseidon.
In school, he earned the nickname 'Lucifer' because he resembled the one from christianity. Just without the "evilness" and "causing humanity's sins" part. Which he didn't do in the 1st place. He would advocate for free will and punish people for stuff they did wrong. Not mundane stuff though, just the big stuff. Bullying, lying, stuff like that.
It was like that till the 6th grade. He had yet again been kicked out for not only his ADHD and Dyslexia, but also because of his Lucifer-ness. By now, people rarely ever called him Perseus, or Percy even. Everyone called him Lucifer. To Percy however, it felt familiar. He felt used to it.
But it was again time for a new school. 6th grade at Yancy Academy. And he had a new friend. This kid named Grover. Grover was scrawny, had crutches, was ginger and acne all over his face. He did have the start of a goatee though. They were roommates.
About halfway through the year, the weather went really freaky. It was like the sky and the sea were trying to kill each other. Grover seemed to be really nervous. He was shaking and every time there was thunder, he would look around nervously, like someone was out to get him.
Strangely enough, his new Latin teacher also seemed to be nervous whenever thunder boomed. He flinched as if he had had experience with lightning and it wasn't pleasant. No one else seemed to notice it so Percy just ignored it.
Until that day at the museum. It had started with Percy and Grover being bullied. Grover because he was a scrawny ginger disabled kid and Percy because he defended Grover from being bullied. Of course it wasn't obvious that that's what they were being bullied for, as they were just dodging Peanut Butter and Ketchup sandwiches that were being thrown at them.
They had gotten to the museum and walked to the Greek Mythology section. Mr. Brunner had asked him a question. "Mr. Jackson, what is this a picture of?"
Percy looked at it and instantly recognized it. "That's Kronos eating his children."
"And he did this why?" Mr. Brunner asked.
"Because when he overthrew his father, Ouranos, he received a prophecy that his children will overthrow him the same way as he did to his father."
"And what were the consequences?" Mr. Brunner asked.
"They overthrew him because he ate them." Percy said.
"Good job Mr. Jackson. Full credit."
Mr. Brunner then started leaving them outside to eat lunch. But as Percy made his way outside, his Pre-Algebra teacher, Mrs. Dodds stopped him. "Come with me."
She led him to the Christianity section. In front of them was a carved picture of Lucifer Morningstar in Hell ruling it with a sword in his hand. The weird thing is that the sword didn't look like it belonged. Most of the picture was white but the sword had hints of red, black, and bronze, almost as if someone had painted over it.
"You should just make this easy on us and just confess." Mrs. Dodds said.
"To what?" Percy asked.
"Time's up!" Mrs. Dodds said. And then promptly turned into a bat woman.
"There was a time lim- WHAT THE FUCK?!" He screamed.
Mrs. Dodds swept towards him. Percy by some sort of muscle memory rolled to dodge it. Mrs. Dodds growled. She flew back up to ready another swoop on the 6th grader when he suddenly thrust his hand out due to pure instinct. The picture rumbled and the sword flew out of it with the paint gone. The blade felt perfectly balanced in his hand. He noticed writing on the cross-guard but decided to focus on that later. Mrs. Dodds was in motion with claws aiming right for his head. When she was close, he ducked and with skill that only someone that had had years of practice could do, swung it right at her shoulder slicing diagonally through her, turning her to golden dust.
Percy stared at the dust. Then looked at the sword. Except the sword was now a pen. To test the theory of him potentially going insane, he uncapped it. Sure enough, it expanded into the sword he had wielded earlier. Hearing footsteps, he put the cap to the tip and put the pen into his pocket.
"Percy! Oh, thank the Gods you're alright!" Grover said.
Percy noticed the way he said 'Gods'. "Yeah, I'm fine." He responded.
They went outside to eat lunch.
The year went on with everyone forgetting Mrs. Dodds. Percy would've thought that he was crazy if it weren't for the fact that the pen still transformed into a sword. Percy had done more inspecting of the sword and noticed some strange details.
The sword was Black on the edges with Red on the inside part. In the center was a strip of Bronze that shimmered in the light. On the cross-guard, there was writing, as previously mentioned. The writing was in some weird writing that didn't look like any modern language. But Percy understood it perfectly fine. It translated to Anaklusmos, which translated to Riptide. There was some more writing in smaller print, also written in the weird language that read "For my handsome Devil".
Then came the final day, where Percy had been kicked out of yet another school. He went home to see the pig that is definitely going to Hell, Gabe. The abusive bastard that spent all their money on beer, cigars and poker.
They had a little spat as Percy was tired of his shit. Needless to say, Percy won by knocking him over. Sally came home to a knocked out Gabe that had gone unconscious when he fell and a Percy releasing his wings and bringing them back in. Sally smiled a little. Her little boy may have hidden them from the rest of the world, but they made him unique. He was more unique than even Sally knew.
They went on with their trip that was interrupted by Grover knocking on their door and hurrying them to the car. About halfway there Percy sensed huge footsteps from behind them. "Uhh. Guys, what is that?"
Lightning then hit the car causing them to go into a flip and half with them ending up on the ground and Grover knocked out. "Percy, get to the Pine tree!" His mom said. They made their way up the hill until about half-way when Percy turned around. His face grew pale. The Minotaur was behind them.
"Percy, it's gonna charge at us, I need you to jump to the said when he starts okay?" His mom asked. Percy nodded.
Their plan went off without a hitch until the end. The Minotaur turned around and grabbed his mother. Squeezing her until she vanished in yellow light. Percy, filled with rage, started to glow white. The Minotaur, seeing this charged him. Percy didn't move. When the Minotaur's horn hit him, he expected to be impaled but no, the horn just broke off. Percy grabbed his pen from his pocket and stabbed the Minotaur through the chest making him disappear leaving only golden dust and a horn that Percy forgot about as he capped Riptide and picked up Grover.
Percy carried Grover up the hill and placed him on a chair on the porch of the big house. A familiar face was there unknown to Percy. Mr. Brunner watched as Percy made Grover comfortable then passed out on the floor. The divine white light that had encompassed him earlier had largely faded.
Percy 'Lucifer' Jackson had arrived at Camp Half-Blood, and it was not ready for what was about to happen.
A.N. Just a reminder in case you haven't read the tags, THIS IS AN OP PERCY STORY. He is going to kick ass like no tomorrow. He's an Archangel for crying out loud. But I'm keeping to how Lucifer is in 'Lucifer". He's strong, invulnerable, yada yada yada. He isn't going to be powerful all the time, just a lot of it. Hope you enjoy it.
(Future Random here, uh, I actually end up turning Percy into the comic version of Lucifer, where he is literally only second to God, and equal to Michael)
