They reached the home of the cyclops shortly after Percy had his meltdown. It wasn't until they had hit land that he realized that he had perfect bearings at sea, which he figured would be useful down the line.

The island itself was beautiful. It was in the shape of a semicircle with the golden fleece hanging on a tree branch near the center. The island was also split in half, so technically it was 2 islands, though there was a rope bridge connecting them. The beaches had white sand, with clear sea green water. There were forested hills and even a mountain with a cave. The cave even came with a boulder as a door, that reminded Percy of the tomb of his half-brother, Jesus.

Their game plan was to have Percy sneak up to the fleece, grab it, rescue Grover, and they all sail home easy peasy. And it *almost* worked. Percy reached the fleece just fine, as there were no guards, or anything living in sight. So he carefully grabbed it, and put it in a magic pack he had found in his room. (He had gone in there to finish his crying.) The pack was enchanted to hold anything, and infinite stuff. He loved the thing.

You know, for being the Devil, he sure didn't have the luck of it. Because as soon as the fleece was in his backpack, a voice cried out from his right. "MY FLEECE!"

Percy sighed. He thought about running back and flying them out of there, but decided to do a favor to any future travelers who may come across this island, and kill the cyclops. He didn't have to wait long.

The cyclops, Polyphemus, Percy remembered, burst out of his cave, holding a long sharpened stick. "YOU! YOU DARE STEAL MY FLEECE!" He screamed out.

"Yea." Percy said, as tactless as ever.

Polyphemus charged, and so did Percy. Percy uncapped Riptide as he charged. Polyphemus thrusted with his spear stick. Percy thrusted and twisted the spear, causing it to flip out of the cyclops hand.

Polyphemus had a shocked expression on his face for a brief instant, before replacing it with fury. He brought his hands up to fist fight, and Percy threw down his sword to do the same. The son of the sea charged and threw a punch right at his kneecap, as that was the highest he could reach. The cyclops was huge, give him a break.

The force behind the punch was enough though, as it caused the entire leg to bend the other way. The cyclops cried out in pain. He quivered as he lay on the ground, only deciding to beg for mercy when he saw the burned and scarred face of the Devil.

"Mercy? Did you give the sailors mercy? How about that satyr you have in that cave? The one you're about to eat? Did you give him mercy?" Percy asked.

Polyphemus didn't respond.

Percy picked up Riptide and brought it down on the cyclops. He rushed over to the cave and looked around. Hanging over a boiling pot of soup, was Grover. He unleashed his wings, flew up, and cut him down, holding him tight as Percy flew them to the ground.

"You alright?" Percy asked.

"Yeah, yeah, I'm fine." Grover said.

The friends made their way back to the battleship.

The ride home was uneventful, besides when they passed by C.C.'s island, where Percy went back in and came out looking happy. They tried to ask him what he did, but they had no clue. (They were sure it had something to do with the mass exodus of attendants, and the burning spa.) They tried to iris-message Chiron, but it seemed like he was at a club, and couldn't understand anything he was saying.

They eventually reached Miami.

As soon as they reached the shore, they found a newspaper to see the date. June 18th. Ten days since they left camp.

"Thalia must be almost dead!" Grover said. "She'll be almost dead by tonight, unless.." He turned to Percy.

He sighed. He opened his backpack, and pulled out the fleece. He walked over to Clarisse, put his hand on her shoulder, and in an instant, the duo had disappeared. Percy reappeared a minute later.

"Alright, you guys ready?" he asked.

"NOT SO FAST!" A voice yelled out from behind them.

They turned around to see Luke on the Princess Andromeda, sword drawn. "WHERE'S THE FLEECE?!"

"WE DON'T HAVE IT!" Percy yelled.

They were suddenly grabbed by the bearlike humans. Tyson tried to fight back, but was unable. Percy decided against revealing his Devil strength, as it would be best to wait until the situation called for it. Never waste an ace that's up your sleeve.

They were brought onto the Princess Andromeda, on the aft deck in front of the pool. There were fountains that sprayed into the sky, and landed in the pool. "So." Luke said. "Where's the fleece?"

"Do you have hearing problems? I already told you. We don't have it." Percy said mockingly.

Luke narrowed his eyes. "Wait... Where's Clarisse?"

Percy smirked. "You're too slow, Luke."

"AGRIUS!"

"Yes?"

"Prepare my steed."

Percy felt a drachma in his back pocket, and got an idea. "You set us up, didn't you?"

"So slow, Percy. Of course I did."

Percy threw the drachma at Luke, who was standing in front of one of the fountains. Understandably, he dodged. Percy's next part was 1 sentence. "So... you tricked us all, even DIONYSUS AT CAMP HALF BLOOD!"

Percy needed everyone to ignore the iris message, so he drew his sword, which caused everyone other than Grover and Tyson to back up. That was understandable as it looked demonic. It was reforged in Hell after all.

"Look at the little hero, put your sword down Percy." Luke said, faking confidence.

"Who poisoned Thalia's tree, Luke?"

Luke scoffed. "It was me you dimwit. I used demonic poison, straight from Hell itself."

"So, Chiron had nothing to do with it?"

"He wouldn't have the Fucking Guts too. Emphasizing 'fucking', and 'guts'.

"So what, you're just gonna let Thalia die, endanger all your old friends?"

"They aren't my friends anymore. And besides, I would've let you have the fleece, when I was done with it."

"You were going to heal Kronos."

"Yes. It would've sped up the process by 1000%!"

"And who told you that?"

"The ange... Actually, why am I telling you this? You already know. I should be catching up with the plane that she's on."

By this point, Percy was laying in a deck chair with a shit eating grin on his face. "You weren't telling me. You were telling... them." Percy said, pausing for effect, and pointing at the iris message, which showed the camp eating lunch. Clarisse was among them, so Percy assumed that the mission was successful.

"Well, some lunch entertainment was unexpected, but not unwelcome." Dionysus said.

"You heard him Mr. D. Chiron had nothing to do with it."

"Yea, yea. Tantalus's service is no longer needed." He said as Tantalus dissolved into mist. The sad part was he had just grabbed a burger and was about to take a bite.

Luke's eyes showed nothing but rage. He slashed his sword through the iris message and turned to Percy.

Percy wasn't done either. "Clarisse isn't even on a plane. She's already at camp. What is it that you said I was? Slow? Seems like you're the slow one Luke."

"You... You aren't going to leave this boat alive."

In Percy's head he was thinking, 'Yeah right, don't waste your breath. I'm immortal.'

Percy got off of the deck chair and just stood there, not getting into a stance. In fact, he capped Riptide and it in his pocket. Luke smirked, as he thought it was an easy kill.

It was in fact not an easy kill. Percy grabbed Luke's hand and flipped him over his shoulder. Luke laid on the ground, the wind knocked out of him. Someone tried to stab Percy with what looked like a celestial bronze capped pool cue. He grabbed it before it could reach him, and cracked the monster over its head.

He then took the cue and stabbed Luke in the shoulder.

That was the 'cue' for the rest of the monsters to start attacking. Percy took on most of the army. Tyson was a huge help. He took a club from another cyclops, yelled, "BAD BROTHER!", before bashing him on the head. Grover was playing his reed pipes and causing the wooden floor to grow branches and just mess up the monsters footing.

Percy stabbed a cyclops, then whirled his blade on a hellhound, which saddened him due to Mrs. O'Leary, who was snoozing at his mom's apartment, or maybe taking a shit at central park. That made him laugh.

Within minutes, all that was left was piles of golden dust.

"Alright. You guys wanna go home?" Percy asked.

There were not many questions when they got home. Which was lucky for Percy, as he didn't like to lie. They just assumed that they caught a later plane than Clarisse, as they were held up by Luke.

Percy was right, the mission was a success as the tree was looking healthier than usual. The golden fleece sparkling on one of the tree's branches.

Percy did some renovations that night. Nothing big. He just snuck out to the city, visited his mom to get Mrs. O'Leary, borrow some money, and buy some things. He brought everything back to the Poseidon cabin, where he built.

When it was done, he had turned one of the bunks into a miniature beach. He opened his backpack and pulled out an egg. A sea turtle egg. He gently placed it on the sand and caressed it. Percy smiled a bit, before petting Mrs. O'Leary on the head.

His work was not done as he still had some more work to do. He pulled a black piano out of the backpack and placed it in the center of the cabin.

And this chapter ends with Percy at that piano, the same one that was in C.C. 's room, playing the melody of Knocking on Heaven's Door very softly.

END OF ARC 2

A/N. What a sweet ending. I wanted an ending like that for a chapter somewhere in this book, and think this was the perfect place for it. I'm trying to add more emotional stuff into this book, so, yeah. If you're wondering, yes, Percy's getting more pets. (There's 2 more and they're both aquatic animals.) Zoë is gonna love it too, maybe bringing a pet of her own. And yes, Thalia is going to be revived, but off screen, or paper?

Also, enjoy this "end credit scene"!

Luke sat shirtless at the golden sarcophagus. Annabeth was patching up the hole in his shoulder. "He was 13! How are we going to do this?!"

He paused, as if listening. "Yes m'lord. It will be done."

LUKE WILL RETURN IN ARC 3
