Percy was playing the piano, while Zoë was pouring drinks at the bar. Lux was about to close, and they were tired. They just wanted to go to sleep. It had been a long day. They had decided to do a 24 hour club session, and they now regret it all.
As Percy finished playing a song, he decided to sing one more. "Hello Los Angeles! I'll do one more song, and then the fun is over for tonight!"
The club goers cheered.
"This last song is for a special someone. A woman, who holds my heart in her fist. So, to prove it, I'm going to rock a sweet 90's jam."
He started playing Eternal Flame.
"Close your eyes
And give me your hand, darling
Do you feel my heart beating?
Do you understand?
Do you feel the same?
Am I only dreaming?
Is this burning an eternal flame?
Say my name
Sun shines through the rain
A whole life so lonely
Then come and ease the pain
I don't want to lose this feeling, oh
Ah
Ooh
Ooh-oh"
"Thank you Los Angeles, you've been a great crowd tonight!" Percy said, taking a bow.
Zoë smiled at her husband as he entertained the crowd of people. In the last 6 months, they had become the biggest nightclub in L.A. They were still running at a loss, not that it mattered. Percy could literally summon money. How it didn't wreck the economy, Zoë didn't know.
The people slowly trickled out, leaving the owners alone. The couple walked up to the penthouse. Zoë walked straight up to the bed and flopped down on it. "That was the worst decision we have ever made."
Percy laughed, and sat down next to her. She raised her head, and laid it in his lap as he stroked her hair. They sat there for a couple of minutes, before they were interrupted.
A gust of wind and the sound of flapping wings came from the balcony. Standing there, was Amenadiel. He walked into the room, and looked around. His eyes landed on Percy and Zoë, who were staring at him, looking at him weirdly.
"Lucifer." Amenadiel said. "If you would please stop sleeping with some random chick everyday, and please get down here, we need to talk."
Percy didn't move, and only scoffed. "Is that what you think I do all day? Stick my dick in anything that moves, like Zeus?"
Amenadiel deadpanned at that. "Then what am I looking at?"
Percy smirked slightly. "Me and my wife about to go to sleep after a long day of work. Now, we're tired, and you're not welcome, bye."
"You're married?" Amenadiel asked, confused and surprised.
"Yes. And you would know, if you showed up to the wedding. Literally, none of you showed up. We had demons, and tortured souls, but not a single member of our families showed up!" Percy said.
"We didn't know-"
"Bullshit! I sent you all invites through Gabriel! And she might be bad at paying debts, but she takes her job very seriously. You got those invites, and you made the conscious choice not to show up. So now, leave. Whatever you came for, I don't care." Percy said, as he slipped under the covers and turned towards Zoë.
Amenadiel looked down. "I need your help."
"I don't care." Percy said, eyes closed.
"I got a human pregnant." Amenadiel dropped the bomb.
Percy sat up, trying to hold in laughter. "You? You were hanging around humans. And were there long enough to sleep with them? You who couldn't stand humans and criticised me when I decided to hang around them for a vacation?!" He couldn't take it anymore, and burst out laughing.
Amenadiel didn't say anything.
"So, why do you want my help. If you want me to kill the human or kid, forget it, cause I ain't doing it."
"No, I need you to help me be a good parent."
"And what makes you think I can help you with that?"
"I don't know." Amenadiel said quietly.
"Well, you're right. I can help you. I think we can strike a deal."
"A deal? What do you want?"
"I want to assemble the Flaming Sword."
Amenadiel's eyes widened. "So you can cut Heaven's gates?! Absolutely not!"
"You all think that low of me? It's for protection. If you didn't want my help, you would be here to kill me, or at least drag me back to Hell. If I had the Flaming Sword, it would make you and the rest of our siblings hesitant to even approach me."
Amenadiel looked conflicted. He spent a few minutes thinking it over. Meanwhile, Percy was stroking Zoë's hair as she fell asleep. Finally, Amenadiel came up with an answer.
"I'll do it."
Percy looked up. "Excellent."
"So, how are you going to teach me to be a good parent?"
Percy smiled. "Go over to that book case, and pick out the pink and blue one."
Amenadiel did so. "How does this help?"
"You're going to read it. Then, I'll quiz you afterwards!"
A/N. I know, it's a little shorter than usual. But, oh well. I don't know how long Arc 4 is going to be, so it might be super fucking short, but hopefully not. I do have some plot points planned, but the in-between isn't super clear, so cut me some slack.
Thoughts?
