"Hey, Chiron." Percy said sheepishly.
"It's been too long, my boy." Chiron said. "You look older."
"Yeah, we visited Hell, got our true forms back."
"Our? Oh, is that Zoë Nightshade behind you?"
Zoë stepped forward. Travis wolf whistled. "Goddamn!"
Zoë turned to Travis, and showed him her mutilated face. They all jumped back in shock. "WHAT IN HELL!?"
Percy stepped forward. "My pleasure to present Mazikeen Morningstar, Queen of Hell."
"I'm sorry, queen?" Chiron asked.
"Well, I'm the king, and if she's married to me, that makes her queen, right?" He turned to Zoë. "I'm pretty sure that's how that works."
"You're the King of Hell? Little Percy?" Clarisse asked tauntingly.
Percy's eyes glowed red. "You wanna doubt that?"
Clarisse backed off.
"Now, who wants to explain what's going on?" He said sitting on the couch on the corner. Zoë sat next to him.
"Michael is being a selfish jerk!" Clarisse said.
Percy sighed. "And why is that?"
"Oh, that's perfect coming from you!" Michael said.
"The only reason I'm here is to support Silena! Otherwise I'd be back at my cabin!"
"What is going on?" Percy said again. Zoë was silently laughing.
Pollux decided to speak up. "Clarisse has refused to speak to any of us until her, um... issue is resolved. She hasn't spoken in 3 days."
"It's been wonderful." Travis said.
"What's this issue?" Percy asked.
Clarisse turned to look at Chiron. "You're the leader. Does my cabin get what we deserve or not?"
"My dear, I've already told you. The Apollo cabin had the best claim. Besides, we have more pressing matters."
"Sure, more pressing than the needs of the Ares cabin. Because we're just expected to fight whenever you need us to fight."
"That would be nice." Conner said.
Clarisse threw a knife onto the table. "Silena, I'm sorry. The rest of you, enjoy fighting this war without Ares." She stormed out, muttering about "idiots", and "why should she put up with them".
Chiron coughed awkwardly. "Well then. On to other matters-"
"Are we really not going to talk about that?" Percy interrupted. "Someone just pulled out of a war, and you're not going to mention it."
"I mean, I think it's all been said. She wanted out, so she went out. Good riddance." Travis said.
"Now, I think it's time for the Great Prophecy."
"The Devil will walk the Earth
With advice from the Hearth
Hell shall be raised
The king won't be fazed
A half blood of the oldest 3
Save or raze, which will it guarantee?" Percy recited.
"Raise, that's good, right?" Travis said.
"R-A-Z-E, Travis, to destroy. Which is not good." Zoë said.
"Percy, how did you know that?" Chiron asked.
"I'm nigh-omniscient. I know a lot of things." Percy said.
"So, what's going to happen?" Conner asked.
"I don't know."
"You just said you were omniscient!"
"I said I was NIGH-omniscient! I know almost everything!"
Chiron sighed. "Let's move on. The gods think that we have a spy."
"Right, how are the gods doing? Still sitting on their asses?"
Chiron looked at Percy exasperated. "They are doing all they can, with the ancient laws-"
"RIGHT! The ancient laws! You know, I still wonder when those were written, because I don't remember those ever being written. And even then, wouldn't Zeus fucking everything with a hole in it violate those ancient laws? Or, is having an affair not included in mortal affairs?"
"Percy please!"
"Fine. The spy's Silena."
Silena just cried harder than she already had been. Everyone turned to Percy.
"She just lost her boyfriend in an attack on Kronos' cruise ship! How dare you say that?!" Katie said.
"Yeah, and she's obviously feeling guilty about it. Look at her! She wept more when I outed her! And hello, I'm nigh-omniscient, so I think I know what I'm talking about."
Everyone slowly calmed down. "So, what do we do with her?" Michael asked.
"Well, 1st, we get the communication device." Percy said, walking over to her, and holding his hand out. Silena slowly reached into her pocket and pulled out a necklace. Only one charm was on it. The charm of a scythe.
Percy took it from her and put it into his pocket. "Next, we do nothing to her. She's obviously feeling guilty, which means when she dies, she'll be going to Hell."
"WHAT?!" Everyone yelled.
"What? That's how it works. Guilt equals eternal damnation. Of course, if you get over that guilt, you can get into Heaven, but that's never happened before."
Silena broke down into even more tears.
Percy pulled out the charm necklace and pushed a tiny button on it. Kronos' voice came through the air, clear as day.
"Ah, Silena, what news do you have for me?"
"Hey, Grandfather. How are you doing?"
"You're not Silena."
"Indeed. Percy Jackson. Or, Lucifer Morningstar, your pick. And you're not my grandfather, but technicalities. How are you doing on this fine day?"
"Jackson. What is this?"
"Oh, you know, just fucking up your plan."
"What plan, I don't have a plan." Kronos said, obviously having a plan.
"Really? How's Aunty Em's place treating you? Her burgers were pretty weird tasting last time I visited."
"JACKSON! I WILL END YOU!"
Percy laughed. "No you won't. I don't know much about the future, but I know that the world definitely won't fall to you. No, that'll be global warming's fault. Anyways, as nice as this chat has been, I must go, plans to make, and titans to kill, you know how it is."
Percy crushed the charm in his hand. He threw the broken pieces into the trash can that was by the door. He took some gasoline from under the ping pong table and poured some into the trash.
"Dude, that was for emergencies!" Conner said.
"I think this qualifies as an emergency." Percy said, before lighting a spark on his hand and tossing it into the trash can. The fire erupted into a giant flame. It smelled awful too.
Percy and Zoë stared into flame, a smile on their face.
"Well, I think that's enough for today." Chiron said.
A/N. 2 chapters in one day again! I'm on a roll! Probably because I had a lot of fun writing that Percy and Kronos conversation.
Percy's nigh-omniscience is a thing from the comics. He literally knows almost everything, and has means to get things that he doesn't know. (According to the Wiki, Lucifer once used the blood of a dead pigeon to give him information he didn't already know.)
I hope you liked Percy and Kronos' conversation, I loved it.
Thoughts?
