Hey I'm back with the third and finale Halloween story for this year. Sorry this is a few days late I wanted to post it on Halloween but didn't feel like working on it. This is inspired by an AU idea I've had for a few years now originally I wanted it to be one of those ask tumbler comic blog kind of thing but I can't draw very well nor do I know how to make comics so fanfiction it is. Also, since this fic is a little more on the romantic side Dakota and Mabel are aged up to fourteen years old to match Rory's age. Enjoy the story and let me know your thoughts in the reviews.

She didn't know when the longing started. It must have started shortly after her, Rory, and Mabel began to date. The moment the three decided to become a threesome was the happiest Dakota had ever been. To be able to date the boy she loved dearly was pure bliss. And for the first three months, it was. Rory Keaner was one of the sweetest boys Dakota and Mabel ever met. It was only natural that they would eventually fall in love with him, and for Rory, he was lucky to have two girls to turn to when Ethen and Benny were busy and couldn't hang out. Mabel and Dakota kept him on his toes, and he wouldn't have it any other way.

And the love seemed to grow stronger the night they confessed. The same night Rory attended a vampire party hosted by their new enemy Jesse Black. The night where life in Whitechapel was changed forever, and the night Rory became a creature of the night after being bit by Erica Jones.

Becoming a vampire didn't bother the trio at all. In fact, it made their bond stronger Dakota, and Mabel loved dragging Rory into their adventures. He loved being included even if he wasn't that strong, even if he was the one who started the problem, and even though he had his fair share of being possessed by the supernatural creatures they were dealing with, his friends had his back. And that was enough to keep his spirits high. It also gave him the courage to ask his special girls out on a date.

"Hey, girls." He waved, approaching them by their lockers,

"Oh, hi Rory." Dakota smiled, "What's up?"

"Nothing much. Are you two busy tonight?" He wondered,

"Not really do you want to come to our place tonight?" Mabel asked, "Emily got a new video game she wants to try out. It's got multi-player." She sang excitedly,

"Actually, I was wondering if you two wanted to go on a date with me?" Rory offered, much to their surprise,

"Both of us?" Dakota asked,

"Sure, who says threes a crowd. There's this really cool place the three of us might like, so what do you say want to go?"

Rory didn't need to wait as the two said yes and jumped into his arms. One date led to two, and two led to many more it wasn't long until they decided to become a threesome. It was strange to Ethen and the others when they announced the news, but they supported them, nevertheless.

"So, the three of you are dating now?" Benny questioned, slightly confused as to how Rory got two girlfriends before he and Ethen did,

"Yeah, what's so hard to understand? Mabel, Rory, and I are a threesome couple." Dakota explained,

"You know most people only have one partner," Ethen spoke,

"Oh, hush." Sarah said lightly, slapping Ethen's arm, "I think it's cute. You three make an adorable couple."

"Thanks, Sarah." They thanked,

"So, who wants to bet how long they'll last?" Erica wondered,

"I think they're going to be together for a while. Dakota's a love bug." Emily answered, "Congratulations, Dakota, glad you found a lover who makes you happy."

"Thanks, Ems." Dakota smiled, happy that her friends took the news so well.

For the next few months, everything was fine except for the occasional supernatural weirdness that threatened their lives. Dakota, Mabel, and Rory's relationship were going strong. That was until Rory realized he had stronger feelings towards Dakota than he did with Mabel. He didn't want to exclude Mabel from anything, but the feeling of wanting Dakota for himself was becoming overwhelming. After thinking it through for a few days, he decided to confess to Dakota.

The threesome was walking out of the movies when Rory pulled Dakota aside.

"Hey Dakota, can I talk to you?" Rory questioned, slightly worried about how this will go down,

"Sure, thing Rory." She nodded, "Hey, Mabes. We'll be there in a minute!"

"Okay, I'll meet you at the bus stop!" Mabel called back,

"So, did you enjoy the movie? I haven't laughed that hard in ages." She beamed

"Yeah, I did. The reviews were right; that movie was a train wreck. But I very funny one." Rory replied,

"Well, I guess that's what they get for letting Sony handle the writing." Dakota giggled,

"Remind me to never let Sony handle a movie about the story of my life." Rory joked, making them burst into laughter,

"So?" Dakota asked after calming down from her laughing fit, "What do you want to talk to me about?"

"Our relationship," Rory stated plainly,

"Oh, do you think it's not working out for you?" Dakota questioned, slightly worried Rory was going to break up with her,

"No, having you and Mabel by my side has been the happiest days of my life. I love spending time with you." He reassured Dakota let out a sigh of relief, knowing Rory wasn't ending their three-month relationship.

"So, what's the problem? If things are going so well, why did you want to talk to me?"

Rory took a deep breath and told Dakota the truth. "I think I'm in love with you more than Mabel."

"Oh." Dakota didn't know how to react to that. She wasn't expecting Rory to admit he had a bigger crush on her than Mabel.

"Are you breaking up with Mabel?" She questioned quietly,

"I don't know. But I can't shake this feeling I want you." Rory stated,

"But you already have me. We don't always have to do everything together. If you want to have Mabel or me alone for a night, that's fine. We've only been dating for three months. We can work it out as we go along." Dakota reassured,

"It's just I fear that I'll be spending time with you more. I don't want Mabel to feel left out or jealous. She's my girlfriend too. I don't want to hurt her."

"I know you don't. Let's think things over for a little while. Then we'll take things from there. Do you want me to tell Mabel about this?" Dakota wondered,

"No, I don't want her getting worried. Can we keep this between us for a little while?" Rory requested,

"Sure, but only until you're ready to tell her the truth. She has the right to know about this. Communication is a must in any relationship." She said,

"Deal, I'll tell her tomorrow. But first, how about that ice cream I promised?" Rory offered,

"Sure, I'll help with the bill." Dakota smiled,

"And there's another reason why I love you so much." He half-joked,

"Aw, stop it." Dakota blushed,

"Hey, you two, what's taking you so long?!" Mabel called out, "I got a text from Emily! She wants to know when we'll be home!"

"Coming, Mabel! Tell Emily we'll be back after we get some ice cream!" Rory replied,

"All right! We might want to bring some back with us. You know Emily will want some!"

"Ask her what flavor she'll like!" Dakota yelled, "Come on, Rory let's go before we wake up the whole town."

"Right." He nodded. Dakota and Rory ran to their girlfriend and enjoyed the rest of the night. Even though Dakota was worried about how Mabel would take the news, she took it surprisingly well when Rory told her the truth at school the following day. Dakota saw it happen through the classroom window. She saw Rory approach Mabel in the hallway and told her the truth. At first, Dakota thought Mabel would be mad at Rory for liking her more, but after Rory finished explaining, Mabel smiled, hugged him, kissed his cheek, and went to class.

"So, how did it go?" She whispered as Rory sat down at his desk.

"Surprisingly, well, she wasn't mad at all."

"Did she say anything?"

"No, just hugged and kissed me. It's almost as if she's okay with me dating you alone." Rory tried to understand why Mabel was so calm about it but couldn't find an answer.

"I'll talk to her tonight. Maybe she was putting on a brave face." Dakota guessed,

"If she, is I hope she's not mad at me." Rory worried,

"I'm sure she isn't, and if she is. Mabel won't stay mad at you for long. She loves you." Dakota reassured him,

"Thanks, Dakota. I just hope I didn't mess anything up."

Later that day, Dakota expected Mabel to be mad as she came home. But she wasn't. Mabel came inside with a bright smile and immediately went to Dakota's side and hugged her. Dakota was shocked that Mabel wasn't upset. She knew her friend was prone to jealousy if another girl had eyes for Rory. Which was very rare, but if the Debbie Dazzle incident told her anything, Dakota expected Mabel to be mad at her.

"Hey, Emily, I'm heading upstairs to do my homework!" Mabel called out,

"Alright, Mabes, I'll let you know when dinners ready," Emily called back as Mabel went upstairs,

"I'm going upstairs too, be back in a sec." Dakota started running upstairs and knocked on Mabel's bedroom door,

"Come on in!" She replied,

"Hey Mabes, mind if we chat a bit?"

"Sure, thing Dakota. Have a seat." Mabel gestured to the bed, and Dakota sat down,

"So, how was your day? I didn't see you at lunch."

"Sorry, I was helping Erica, she was supposed to study with another friend, but he got sick and had to leave school early. We crossed paths and decided to quiz each other. With midterm exams coming up in two weeks, we must be ready." Mabel explained,

"Oh, good for you. I heard Ethen's been helping Sarah a little since we've been skipping classes to investigate the supernatural weirdness around town. He doesn't want her falling behind." Dakota recalled,

"Yeah, I overheard Mr. G's conversation with her. If she doesn't improve her grades, she might be held back next year." Mabel worried,

"I hope that doesn't happen. Sarah's a smart girl. She deserves to graduate and live a normal life," Dakota stated,

"That's true, but with all the supernatural stuff going on, it's hard to maintain a normal lifestyle. I'm surprised we've managed to keep this a secret for so long." Mabel pondered,

"Hm, I guess the town is just good at covering the incidents up." Dakota shrugged,

"No amounts of logic could ever explain the stuff we've seen." Mabel chuckled, making Dakota giggle.

"So, we're cool?"

"What? Of course, we are. What did you think I was mad at you or something?" The braces wearing brunette wondered shockingly,

"Well, kind of," Dakota admitted taking a deep breath and decided to tell Mabel what was on her mind,

"I saw you talking to Rory earlier. I'm guessing he told you what he told me last night."

"Oh, that. Mabel winched, leaning back in her chair, "Yeah, he told me."

"Are you mad at him?" Dakota asked quietly

"No," Mabel replied, simply not making eye contact,

"Are you mad at me?"

"No, I'm not mad at either of you! To be fair, I kinda already knew Rory liked you more." Mabel confessed,

Dakota's eyes shot open, "What you did?! How?"

"I've seen the way he looks at you whenever you laugh or perform. I've wanted to talk about it for a while now. But I didn't know how to approach it. Lately, I've been feeling like a third wheel. I love spending time with you both, but I don't know. Somehow I feel like my crush on him is fading like I'm happier to stay friends." Mabel explained,

Dakota thought about this for a while before speaking again, "So, are you okay with Rory dating just me?"

"Yeah, I guess I am. Only if you want to, we don't want to force you to continue dating if you don't feel comfortable with it."

"No, Mabes, I think I'm gonna be okay. But are you sure you're okay with me dating Rory? I know how much you loved him; we don't want you getting jealous."

Mabel smiled and nodded, "Yeah, I'll be fine as long as the three of us stay friends. I'll always be by your side."

"Oh, Mabel, It's gonna take more than a relationship to get rid of you." Dakota returned the smile and hugged her best friend. After the trio talked it out some more, the group decided to break off the threesome. Even after Mabel broke out of the group, she stayed very close friends with Dakota and Rory. Nothing changed between the three of them. Mabel occasionally joined Rory and Dakota on their outings, and in a way, Rory still considered Mabel, his girlfriend, in a platonic sense.

Everything was once again going to be okay, that was until an old enemy returned. It happened after Rory accidentally released a demon that possessed Sarah. Knowing they needed to find something to hold the vile creature, Ethen suggested using the Cubile Animus to capture it. Even though it safely contained the demon, it would lead to the biggest mistake of their lives. They unknowingly freed Jesse, who was trapped inside.

After a fierce battle, the group lost. Jesse got away, and Ethen nearly became a fledgling. Thankfully, Sarah was able to suck out the venom at the cost of becoming a full-fledged vampire. With no chance of ever being cured, Sarah left Whitechapel shortly after the term was over.

"I can't believe she left." Ethen frowned, sitting on the balcony with Dakota, Mabel, and Rory.

"Don't worry. I'm sure she'll be back before you know it." Rory tried to reassure,

"Thanks, that makes me feel much better," Ethen replied dryly,

"Give her some time, Ethen. This is a huge change for all of us. Once Sarah adjusts to being a full vampire, I'm sure she'll come back." Dakota reassured this time, Ethen felt a little better.

"You're right." He smiled, "Thanks guys, I'm happy to have your support. Hey Dakota, could you ask Emily if there's any hot cocoa left? I'd like a cup."

"Sure thing, bud. Be right back." She nodded, leaving to get Emily. The group enjoyed a night of laughter and reminiscing about the recent year. But deep inside, Jesse's words to Sarah were in the back of Dakota's mind.

"Why do you care so much? In a few hundred years, you won't even remember his name."

Those words, while they were directed to Sarah, struck a chord inside Dakota's heart. Even though Jesse didn't know about Dakota and Mabel's relationship with Rory, he made a valid point. Rory was immortal, which meant Dakota would grow up and one day die of old age. Meanwhile, Rory would be fourteen forever. Their relationship wouldn't stand a chance once Dakota gets too old for it. That's when the longing began, the longing to be a part of Rory's world. The longing to give up her mortality for him.

Dakota knew Rory wouldn't want to be cured, and even if he did, it was too late for that. He drank human blood the moment he turned. Dakota decided to talk it over with her friends. It didn't go over very well.

"Are you crazy!?" Emily was the first to react, "You do realize that's the point of no return. If Rory turns you into a vampire, you'll never turn back! You do understand that, right?"

"Of course, I do. It's just I won't stay fourteen forever, but Rory will. I love him too much to lose him. I know it's a huge risk, but it's a risk I'm willing to take." She decided,

"Dakota, sweetie, none of us want you to worry about your future with Rory. But you're still so young. Giving up your mortality for someone you've only been dating for a few months is not the way to go. Your relationship with him could change in the next few years. High school romances rarely last." Amy tried to convince her,

"Amy's right. It's just a phase you're going through. You'll see those urges will go away in a few days after that. We'll never talk about this again." Emily backed her sister up,

But the longings didn't go away. In fact, they just got stronger. To the point, she couldn't take it anymore and confronted Rory about them.

"You want me to what?!" He asked shockingly,

"I want you to bite me." She repeated, "Please, Rory, I want to be with you forever. Once I age, we won't be able to be together anymore."

Rory let out a sigh of sympathy, "Dakota, you're only fourteen. We have till the end of high school to worry about our relationship. Don't worry about it; let's enjoy the time we have while we have it. Okay."

"Okay, Rory, you're right. I was worrying about nothing." Dakota smiled, "So, what do you want to do tonight?"

"Not sure yet. Why don't we head to the park and watch the sunset on the swings?" He suggested,

"Sounds like fun, hey can Mabel and Ethen come too. He's still feeling a little down after Sarah left." Dakota felt remorse for the poor seer. He really cared for Sarah and felt immense guilt after she saved him.

"Sure, I think the fresh air could do him some good." Rory agreed, "And Dakota?"

"Yeah."

"I don't want to hear about this again. I don't want to take away your mortality the same way Jesse stole Sarah, Erica's, and mine. You're too young to stop aging. It will draw way too much suspicion." Rory requested sternly,

"Okay, Rory, I promise." She nodded, and the two went about their day. And for a while, the longing stopped. Dakota tried not to think about the future and enjoyed living in the present with her friends. Emily was right. It was a short-lived phase created from her worries, or so she thought. Dakota couldn't remember when it happened, but the longings returned, and it made her feel empty inside, knowing her friends wouldn't want to hear about it, so she hid it.

"Man, summer's almost over, and Sarah's still not back," Rory said as the two hung out in his room,

"I guess she had a lot to adjust to," Dakota replied, only half listening as she watched the TV,

"Hey, are you okay you've been kind of quiet lately? I mean, I know you have a quiet side but quieter than usual." Rory questioned, slightly concerned,

"I'm fine, just have a lot on my mind." It was true Dakota had a lot going on, from worrying about Sarah to wondering if the pinning would ever go away.

Rory shifted in his spot to look at her, "Do you want to talk about it? Might make you feel better."

"Maybe a little," Dakota replied,

Rory turned the TV down and smiled, "Talk to me."

"First of all, I'm worried about Sarah. We haven't heard from her since she left. I just want to know she's safe out there." Dakota confessed,

"I'm worried about her too; she is one of the nicest girls I've ever met. At least she cares about my wellbeing." Rory stated, slightly frowning,

"Unlike Erica, who isn't afraid of using you for her selfish needs. By the way, I'm proud of you for standing up to her after the tree incident. I almost lost you back there."

"Well, almost stood up her I still gave her the CD." Rory frowned,

"Well, jokes on her, the files were corrupted." Dakota smiled slyly,

Rory couldn't help but laugh. Dakota always knew how to make him smile, "So is that all? It seems like you were having a hard time focusing."

"No, there's more." Dakota frowned, looking into Rory's eyes, "The longing is back."

"What longing?" He questioned. Dakota looked at him for a moment until Rory finally remembered, "Oh, that longing. Dakota, we talked about this."

"I know we talked about this. But Rory, it's not going away. I don't think it ever will. I know you don't want to turn me, but I can't fight it anymore. I want this!" She explained,

"Are you sure this is what you want? Because if I bite you, you may never change back. We still haven't found a cure." He warned,

"This is Whitechapel. Since when have things ever been normal. Since when has my life been anything but normal? Look, I know you don't want to talk about this anymore, but if you won't do it now, do it when I'm older where it won't turn heads."

"Fine, let's just enjoy the rest of the summer, okay? School will be starting in a few short weeks." Rory agreed. The two snuggled close until Dakota started falling asleep in his arms. Rory helped her to his bed and decided it was time to settle down for the night.

"Are you sure you're okay with me sleeping in your bed?" She questioned sleepily,

"Yeah, it's fine. Mom wants to clean the guest bedroom anyway, plus I want to snuggle with you." He replied, a slight blush on his face,

"You are the best boyfriend ever." She yawned, "Good night, Rory, love you."

"I love you two." He smiled, kissing her forehead,

Rory couldn't help but look at Dakota's sleeping body. He didn't want to lose her either, but to bite her at such a young age when he knew they could break up in a few years concerned him. He didn't want to make the same mistake Jesse did to Sarah, but Dakota is different. She knew about his vampire secret. She saw him get bit right before her eyes. Unlike Sarah, she'd be okay if he turned her. She said it herself. She wanted this.

Rory didn't want to bite her, but he understood she was being consumed by desire.

"She'd be okay." He thought, "And if one day she hates me forever, then so be it."

Rory leaned over to get access to her neck, kissed it, and bit down. Dakota could barely register what was happening before a sharp pain filled her senses as the blood was drained from her, and she blacked out. When she awoke a few hours later, she felt exhausted. Her neck and throat hurt. And she was very thirsty.

"R-Rory, what happened?" She questioned weakly, looking at the blond vampire who had a worried and guilty look on his face,

"What's wrong? You look like you saw a ghost." She half-joked before going into a coughing fit,

"Here, drink this." Rory handed her some water, and she drank it down,

"Ah, thanks, Rory." She smiled,

"Are you okay?" He asked,

"I don't know. I was falling asleep when a sharp pain caused me to blackout. I think something bit me." Dakota replied,

"How are you feeling?"

"Okay, I guess aside from feeling really drained, I feel somewhat normal. Rory, are you okay you've got a strange look on your face?" Dakota did feel strange. Aside from feeling drained, she noticed her breathing felt odd. That's when she realized she couldn't feel her heartbeat. In fact, now that she was returning to her senses, she felt cold, as if all the warmth inside her was gone.

"Rory?" She asked carefully, "Do you know what happened to me?"

"Come with me." He said, taking her hand and guiding her to the mirror where she saw her reflection was wonky.

"My reflection!" She gasped, remembering Sarah's reflection looked like this as well, "Rory did you do what I think you did?!"

"Yeah." He nodded, "I bite you. I'm sorry I did it without thinking, but I'm sure we'll find a way to cure you. Just don't freak out."

"Freak out? Why would I freak out? Rory, I wanted this. I can't believe you did this for me." She beamed and knocked him to the ground in a hug.

"Ugh. Sorry was that too hard?"

"No, its fine fledgling strength is a little weaker than full vampire strength." He explained,

"You know Emily and the others are going to freak out when we tell them." Dakota realized but couldn't find it in herself to care,

"Yeah, but I'm sure they'll understand. As long as you're the one to explain it to them."

Dakota sighed, knowing Rory was understandably worried about how the others will react. But that could wait as Dakota lowed his chin to kiss him. She knew the others would freak out, and when Sarah gets back, she'll have to tell her too. But for now, the desire was satisfied she couldn't wait to live her undead life with Rory by her side. And for that, she was eternally grateful.

And there you have my OC's a vampire now. This isn't cannon to Whitechapel adventures but I thought it would be interesting to have my OC turn. Plus this is the first time in years that I've made a Rory x Mabel x Dakota pairing Whitechapel adventures don't count since they're based on past daydreams but I might consider expanding this AU in the future. Anyway I think that's everything as soon as The Blood Drive is finished I'll be taking a break for two to three weeks. After all that writing I deserve a break. See you next time.
