THAT NIGHT
"You called M'Lady?" Thalia asked.
Artemis was sitting crossed-leg on the floor. Her eyes were closed as she breathed inaudibly. "Yes, sit with me." She said not opening her eyes.
Thalia sat down, nervous as to why her mistress would call her to her tent. She wondered if she had failed in any of her duties. There were none that she could think of. Well, besides... oh.
"Are you aware why I called you here, Thalia?" Artemis asked.
"No, M'Lady. I am not." Thalia responded. She had to confirm her guess. No need to reveal her secret if Artemis didn't know yet. She knew not to lie to her Goddess, so she didn't. She wasn't fully sure if her reason was correct, and if it wasn't, then she didn't lie, and she wasn't aware why.
"Half-truth. I may not be the Goddess of Truth, but I can tell when someone is telling it, and you aren't telling me the full story."
"Am I?" Thalia feigned innocence.
"You obviously aren't going to tell me unprompted, why did I make them immortal as teens?" Artemis said, the last part to herself. "Anyways. Is there anything you want to tell me? About a certain Son of Poseidon perhaps?" She inquired.
Thalia's face went red. She knew. She knew about her feelings, maybe not how far they went, but she knew regardless. "I... I... might be a-a-attracted to him?" Thalia stuttered out. She was nervous, her mistress, who HATES boys, with a BURNING PASSION, knew that she liked, potentially, LOVED, a boy.
Artemis smiled. "Relax Thalia, I'm not going to kill you. In fact, I'll cut you a deal. Because you are a good lieutenant, and Perseus is pretty good for a man, if he returns your feelings, I'll relieve you of your duties, and you can be with him, if he doesn't, then you can stay the lieutenant. Sound good?" She asked.
Thalia was relieved. "Yes, that sounds great." She said with a sigh of release. "Can I do it tomorrow, I am tired right now." She asked.
"Go ahead." Artemis said while nodding. Thalia got up and made her way to the tent flap. Right as she was about to leave, Artemis called out to her. "Between you and me, I think he returns them." She said with a wink. Thalia blushed and walked out of the tent.
Phoebe was walking around camp when she saw Thalia walking out of the biggest tent. Artemis'. Curious as to why Thalia would be walking out of their leader's tent this late at night, Phoebe walked over to her.
"Why were you in Artemis' tent?" She questioned.
"We were talking." Thalia responded.
"About?" Phoebe followed up.
"Nothing important." She said, blushing a lit-, nope, a lot, she was so red she made a tomato look pink.
Phoebe gasped in amusement. "Was it about how you feel about Percy?"
Thalia looked shocked. "How did you-" She asked before she was cut off.
"I don't know, maybe because that's who you talk about a lot. You always tell the newbies his story, you blush every time you look at him, while having a look in your eye like you're mentally undressing him. Maybe because you cried and wouldn't come out of your tent for 2 days when he got damned to Tartarus. Maybe because you were always the person who teamed up with him when we protected Goddesses when we were on Olympus. I don't know, it seemed really fuckin' obvious to me. " Phoebe ranted with a sarcastic tone.
Thalia was REALLY red now. "Now that you say it like that, I can see how it would be obvious." She said sheepishly.
"Well just know, that the older Hunters are in support." Phoebe said.
That shocked Thalia. "Why, I'm breaking the biggest rule we have. You should hate me." Thalia asked.
Phoebe sighed. "We didn't just help protect the Goddesses on Olympus just to protect those women, we wanted to protect you too, so we went and made sure that Percy was a good dude. Needless to say, he passed with whatever is above flying colors." Phoebe said.
While they were talking, some more Hunters walked over to them. Atlanta asked, "Are we talking about Perlia?"
"Yes we are." Phoebe replied with a smirk on her face, much to the chagrin of Thalia.
"So, what's going on?" Atlanta asked.
"I'm staying in the Hunt unless Percy returns my feelings." Thalia said, with a defeated tone in her voice.
Zoƫ entered the conversation. "Oh, he DEFINITELY returns the feelings. When we asked about his adventures with the Hunt, Thalia was the person he talked about the most. Almost constantly." Bianca hummed in agreement.
Naomi spoke up this time. "Could you imagine their kids though? They would be so cute!"
Every Hunter with the exception immediately agreed. "Black hair is a given, but with Percy's eyes on a girl? Pale like Thalia? Cutest kids of this generation!" Bianca said.
Thalia was blushing to the point it shouldn't have been possible. "Well, I'm tired. I'm going to bed." she said, so she could get out of this embarrassment. She them ran to her tent, got in Bed and fell asleep with images of babies with black hair and sea green or electric blue eyes.
LINE BREAK
Percy awoke from his sleep. He had been dreaming of the future. He had been laying in bed with a strangely familiar girl laying next to him. Then a little girl about the age of 6 came into the room. She had a head of black hair, with Electric blue eyes. She was also very tan. "Mom, Dad!" She yelled. That's when it hit him. This girl was the best of them. Him and Thalia Grace.
As stated before he woke up. This was because of Venom yelling in his head. "WAKE UP, SHITHEAD! THERE ARE 20 HOSTILES CLOSING IN AROUND CAMP!"
Percy got out of bed and stumbled outside. Waking up fully, he was able to see the hostels Venom was talking about. There were Empousa, some Telekhines, and some Hellhounds. All being led by Beef Head himself.
The Minotaur.
A.N. We are getting into Perlia folks. I am actually really proud of this chapter. If you are wondering why the Hunters were so excited about babies, well, they are immortalized in their teens. I have seen teenagers (Girls and Boys) really get excited over babies, so yeah. Perseus The Disgraced Archangel is next.
